  1. Writing this in the middle of watching ep4 to point out that I like the interview scene. It's the one time where I could see that heejoo has the potential to unsettle saeon. The one time where she also doesn't look like a deer in the headlights, and i like that she seems to be in control of the situation. But then another phonecall happens. And suddenly she turns stupid again. At this point there must be something in the phone that's messing up with her, i swear. And what's up with the phonecall in the rooftop, why are you unloading your insecurities to the person that you want to blackmail aaaarrghhh none of this make sense. This is just a couple miscommunication masquerading as mystery/thriller drama and i have zero patience for these characters. I think I'll be putting this on hold until there's more character development or more concrete evidence of the blackmailer's identity.
  2. if you need an alternative, you can try and they're really fast too, virtually real time with the original streaming sites THISSS baek saeon mention how she's always clumsy and i couldn't agree more. was the monologue at the end of ep 3 supposed to make us viewers sympathize to her desperation? girl should've known better than to take a clearly villain-enhanced phone and toying with it. come on, it's 2024. people don't even take calls from unknown numbers anymore these days. or was it just me?
  3. dropping by for a bit after finishing ep2. shout out to @partyon for the roll call haha. after a few months ignoring kdramas, suddenly watchable things started popping out on the second half of 2024. right off the bat, i can't help unintentionally laughing because this started out like a very typical Chinese vertical micro drama plot, only with a higher budget. fake marriage? check. swapping the supposed bride with the sister? check. a seemingly mute and docile wife who turns out secretly cooking a revenge? check. even down to the kidnapping and abusive behavior. i just want to say, even if hui joo wants to leave because she resent him for neglecting her, she's not being smart enough, and that's one thing that keeps aggravating me during the first 2 episodes. even putting the fact that she let herself being manipulated by the real bad guy(s?) aside, she repeatedly do things that could easily expose her identity (not even bother to fake the speech impediment of the original kidnapper, taking mirror selfie with the problematic phone, losing her composure over and over that she keeps revealing more things about herself), she's not shaping up to be a very bright character and idk how to feel about that. like, she keeps saying how baek saeon doesn't know anything about her, but does she know anything about him? how could she be so reckless when facing a guy with that much credentials and has all the resources that could easily expose her anytime soon? that's my initial impression so far. i'll probably add more after watching the newest episodes.
  4. Hi @partyon, thanks for tagging me! it's been a while and I haven't been able to finish many kdramas this year. I've been keeping this drama (along with the one with hae in and our-dear-mudeokie) on my to watch list but currently waiting for more episodes to be aired so I can make judgement whether this would be worth to watch. Nevertheless, I'll be around to check on the updates so I'll be adding this topic on my following list ^^
  5. most of the questions had me like but i can't believe i didn't recognize from the description!!! anyway, i got 43 correct answers... does that certify me as chronic drama watcher or what XD well my social life is non existent anyway so i guess that's about right then.
