  1. "Joy of Life" (庆余年) is my favourite Chinese drama of all time. In the show, martial artists are ranked according to their skill level, grade 1 being the weakest, and grade 9 the strongest. So, who are the most powerful martial arts experts in "Joy of Life"? I came out with a Top 10 Ranking. Please share if you agree with my ranking. Can't wait for Season 2! https://dramabowl.blogspot.com/2020/12/of-life-top-10-martial-arts-experts.html
  2. I always thought period dramas and historical dramas are the same. I watched "Ten Miles Peach Blossom" on Netflix too. But somehow I prefer "Ashes of Love".
  3. Every time I hear about a live-action adaptation of a popular manga/anime, my interest is piqued, and out of curiosity, I will give it a watch. Living up to fans' expectations is not easy, and some adaptations have turned out satisfactory, while many have flopped. Here I want to share 2 Chinese dramas which are based on Japanese manga/anime, which I quite enjoy. https://dramabowl.blogspot.com/2020/12/chinese-dramas-adapted-from-japanese.html
  4. When it comes to TV series from China, I prefer historical to modern dramas. However, I have to say that out of 10 such dramas I watched, 8 are disappointing. There are a few I relish though, and the following are my top 3 favourites. https://dramabowl.blogspot.com/2020/12/top-3-chinese-historical-dramas.html
  5. Season 2 is out! But I haven't had time to watch it. Busy watching Japanese drama "Alice in Borderland" now.
  6. BL fans out there! Let's share about our favourite BL drama series. Here are my top 3 BL series from Japan. https://dramabowl.blogspot.com/2020/12/top-3-japanese-bl-drama-series.html
  7. Thanks for letting me know! I have fixed the link, hope it works now! Have fun watching the J-dramas!
  8. Sharing about my favourite Japanese dramas from 2000 to 2020. It took me a long time, and after much deliberation, I finally chose 7 personal favourites. https://dramabowl.blogspot.com/2021/01/favourite-japanese-dramas-2000-2020.html
  9. In my humble opinion, the 90s is the best era of Japanese dramas. Many classics were churned out that decade, such as Tokyo Love Story (1991), Long Vacation (1996), and many more. These are my personal top 5 Japanese dramas from the 90s. https://dramabowl.blogspot.com/2021/01/favourite-japanese-dramas-from-90s.html
  10. BL fans, have you watched "Your Name Engraved Herein" (刻在你心底的名字)? It's the best Asian BL film I have seen in recent years. https://dramabowl.blogspot.com/2021/01/your-name-engraved-herein-taiwanese-bl.html
  11. Does anyone else find it funny that Sifeng coughs up blood like every single episode? His lungs must be very weak.
  12. I really want to start a new topic on this, but I can't Who else is looking forward to the upcoming Slam Dunk movie?
