Related question… has GuangRe ever publicly wished each other HB on Weibo before? I know Dilraba sent birthday wishes to Allen Ren this year, but I just assume it’s because they were together on set.
Allen Ren is married with a kid, so it is really not a huge deal to wish him happy birthday, as the chances of it being misconstrued is pretty low.
V and R used to flirt with each other quite a bit over Weibo back in the day, and V once wished her happy birthday in a filmed video for her big birthday bash that she put on for Alices for I think her 27th day (apparently some her fans booed him for it...not that she was paying attention to their petty hate...she was grinning like a little school girl in luv lol).
I don't usually ship actors irl. This is more the case that google told me R is engaged to V. I wanted to see what the chemistry between two engaged actors would look like, so I started to watch ELOD. Basically I wanted to know who could possibly be the lucky guy. Then when I saw ELOD...I was like of course, makes sense. Hahaha.

I think the likelihood of Reba doing an in house production anytime soon is very low at this moment. After The Long Ballad she is shooting two costume dramas back to back I think. I do not think we will see her with Vengo again, unless, they decide to do adapt the Pillowbook extra. To me it would be a little strange for them to collaborate again as different characters, because they were so iconic as Dong Hua and Bai Fengjiu. To many they ARE Dijun and XiaoBai. Haha...acted too well for their own good!

Haha. But she also placed her head on Su Moye's shoulder in ELOD as well. I always just thought that other actors were just too short for her to do this, as she is kind of tall herself. She can only do this if the actor is tall basically. Haha
This guy will be her teacher of some sort in The Long Ballad (which is so good btw! They have gotten really great reviews. And I am just loving the overall drama. Everyone is just fantastic in it! I haven't skipped a single scene, which is a first for me in c-drama.)

@chloenynn there is no need to doubt or feel conflicted! Even in the most recent happy camp episode, R treat Wu Lei as she would any other costar. They were clearly told to be extra friendly with each other during the livestream to drum up CP chemistry, as people claiming they don't got none in the drama.
The "intimacy" is clearly manufactured. Cuz honestly I saw none of it in their BTS or any other interviews to date. They were just putting on a show. Which is fine. That's what they paid to do, right? Sell us a fantasy. But you're right, she does feel comfortable with Wu Lei, cuz ain't no one gonna confuse those two for a real life couple. She even called him little bro before. 
With V though a single look is enough for the world to know that something's up. So it's no wonder V has to restrain himself. To the point where it's suspect, ya know? In my opinion it makes it more obvious that something fishy is going on.

@Lovemercury I believe it was in a recent livestream. I don't speak chinese so I am just going off the info in @Fong 's post about the recent sugar. It is was explained in an Instagram post, but I believe the account is private. I requested to follow a while back. Took her a while to approve my request though.

Lol did V actually say he wanted to film another 80 episodes of ELOD? Sorry...but that isn't subtle at all. Lmaof. 80 more episodes of teasing and flirting with a certain little fox...hahaha. Trust me, there are some of us that would love to see that. Now that pillowbook extra is out I hope they at least make a miniseries or a movie. Xiao Bai and GunGun go back to the past and meet Donghua from the past. Donghua of course falls in love with her all over again. So cute.

@Stella Honey yeah she is looking so good lately! Killing us...and probably gg too...haha. I still can't get over how he couldn't take his eyes off her at the tencent awards. Today I saw sneak peek of her in a fairy/butterfly costume. Also part of the new years programming
And yes, V looking sharp in his suit!

@MayanEcho Thanks for clarifying. I didn't really understand the exact nature of the scandal, but I had a hunch it was something of this nature. It really does suck for her other coworkers and producers. Yikes!

Oh my gawd...just saw a video showing that gg initially wanted to sit with mm, like he made motion to go sit on the same couch as her, but the staff directed him to sit on the couch in front of her. Also, saw a clip of him trying his best to get a glimpse of her without being too obvious (like he is doing everything in his power not to turn around...this is in addition to the clip where he does turn around).

Well hopefully no one is saying harsh words to them on this forum. I read some mentioning that it was hard to watch mm look bored/unhappy, while gg is looking nervous/restrained. Obviously they don't want to draw unnecessary attention, esp in a place crawling with hardcore fans. If they're truly dating, then this will be hard on them emotionally. And if they are just friends/coworkers, it is also too much to handle, not to mention just plain absurd. Either way, the situation is feels a bit torturous. Maybe that is why some gaungre shippers cannot take it anymore? But lots of people had positive reaction too
On another note, the FMV of the fifty shades of gray was intense. I was laughing so hard. Can't believe gg actually watched that! I want to know his thoughts on it! Lol.

Hi Everone. So I have been a silent lurker for a while, since finishing ELOD a few weeks back. I haven't shipped actors ever, only time I shipped irl was with this Canadian figure skating pair who acted about the same as mm and gg, but like way more obvious. You could see that the guy was crazy about his partner (looking at her like gg looks at mm), but because of work they always just stayed as friends. Their chemistry on and off the ice was just out of the world. Like people couldn't believe they weren't dating. Unfortunately, in the end they didn't end up together. So it is possible to have a special friendship and still be flirty/affectionate/possesive/double standards, especially when working in performative arts.
I honestly hope gg and mm have opportunities to work together again instead of having to hide their relationship from the public. Just how exhausting must that be? I feel sorry for them, because right now we are not even letting them express affection to each other as friends and coworkers. I especially feel bad for mm with her psycho fans. I read somewhere that she doesn't have many friends and that she can't even make them properly because she is always under intense scrutiny. How sad
I really hope gg always stay by her side, even if they don't end up together as a couple.
And lastly, love designer is a sweet drama (though a little draggy in the later espisodes). Mm acted so naturally in that. Honestly, the kisses are not raunchy at all...just normal. Not like ELOD...lol where even a look is enough to make your heart explode. I just wanted to say please feel free to watch it...she is looking super beautiful in it, and the drama shows her being a mature young woman. The ML isn't that bad...he is no dijun, but I can see his appeal as an actor. He has a sort of vulnerability that's hard to explain and a goofiness that's endearing. Also, a lot of the drama focuses on the side characters, and when the kisses happen they just kind happen, but you're not like blown away (not even close to ELOD). Just feels more like a western drama, where not too much attention is placed on it, just part of their characters. It's too bad about his abuse allegations...not sure I could have supported the drama if mm wasn't in it.
Ok that's my two cents...what a crazy long post. Now I need serious help moving on from ELOD. Shipping in real life...thanks a lot mm and gg. Try not to break the screen the next time you work together. (I want a mature and dark drama for them...something like 50 shades but with an actual plot.)

Ugh...I honestly can't understand c-drama fans. Why are they so mean and stupid? Jaywalk and Yang Yang's studio had to issue joint statement for the fans to calm the eff down. Like it's a drama? Their jobs are to perform the drama...why the need to attack the actors personally? Who want fans like that honestly? Yang Yang and R have been nothing but professional with each other. Sigh.
Well given how toxic these "fans" can be, it's really no wonder that V and R have to hide their relationship! We should be thankful we get any sugars at all with how c-drama fans mentality works
I can only imagine how their heads will explode the day they go public. I often feel R and V's love story would make a good movie lol.
