Hi all!
@Sky8lue, like @nicoley, I had that same floating thought about the "plead with you." Thank you for giving context to it and gif link too.
@annamchoi, @cherrhys88 @minsunie thank you for sharing the bts. So nice to see KMJ acting his best. PEB is such a pro, appreciate how she paces herself emotionally then consoles her scene partner with music.
@trisail appreciate the posts about Brene Brown and vulnerability (a favorite tedx talk). Very glad someone had taken that route for DYLB
Sharing a fan made video:
Title (via google translate)
[Do you like Brahms?] Jun-young's relationship with his manners (feat. Kyung-out Jung): An omniscient unity point of view #Like Brahms #Jun-young Park #Song-ah Chae
From comments: We hope to stand tall and love each other until the end.

Happy "B-day" to all too!
Just love how fans call Monday-Tuesday "B-day" found it in this article and interview with the writer. Source: (1)
Some bits:
Reaction to Twoset Violin review of DYLB posted by @nicoley, with comments from @rafeusjanela :
Good reviews given to KMJ and PEB as actors performing with musical instruments. "I love you" 3x to violin. is cringey. From the comments, I found the DYLB nation well defended by fans and non-fans!
Happy to say again that writer-nim, you're the best, always ahead, so many levels. Sharing from the comments:
1. Aimez-vous Brahms (Do you like Brahms?) is a novel first written in French by Francois Sagan, a re-telling of Brahms-Clara-Schumann triangle. In the book, a young man invites a woman, 15 years senior, to go to a concert date with him, by asking "Do you like Brahms?"
2. DYLB? is a conversation starter, a way to start small talk (or a pick up line).
SpoilerSong Ah, so intuitive, smoothest move ever!
Joon Young's smooth move
3. Violin has a "soul."
Many chimed here that violin "sound post" is called soul in French, German, Turkish, Hebrew even. How cool is that? Twoset said otherwise and they even showed off their merchandise of violin anatomy t-shirt.
4. Musicians do say I-love-you and I'm sorry to their instruments. One was even moved to say right after watching the video, he said I love you 3x to his drumsticks.
5. I left a comment that Brahms Violin Concerto is coming up in final episodes, if they might want to review that too
Hi @Jillia
Just to add to @Y.Q. about Song Ah receiving a call back from one pianist whose schedule opened up, just before she messages Joon Young.
Though it is a very short scene, I remember my thinking then: what a time to get good news but can't really feel happy about it because you're in emotional turmoil waiting for your boyfriend to explain why he stood you up last night when he promised he'll wait for you (E14 around 22:53
"Have you found an accompanist yet?" asked by the caller. A bit of irony from our writer-nim to which I imagined Song Ah replies, silently:
Finale ending
On a quiet note, a walk along Deoksugung Walkway in clear daytime, sharing the same walking lane (no lines between). Love endures
Also as a drama, I thought that as a finale image, it may already be hard to top the iconic scenes in rehearsal rooms and Song-Ah confession/umbrella breakup scenes at the university, but if they still can...
A final ask from unnie: Don't we all make choices to be happy?
Resonates a lot too, at whatever life stage you are in right now

My answers to the poll:
1. Yes to happy ending. Both to realize what makes them happy is being together.
2. Yes to the kiss. TBH, starving for some skinship. Dimples and holding hands too.
3. No to quitting. I think with music, they say what is important first. Their mutual love of music will be a bridge to healing in their relationship.
I will admit if the outcome may turn out to be impossible, I would like to be comforted by my choices, go for it and not feel regret.

@Sky8lue @Y.Q. @Ameera Ali Appreciate your posts, helped us all cheer up and
cheer for our Dimple Couple.
@minsunie @nicoley @Abirami Ramakrishnan I find myself listening to more classical music which helps my EQ these days.
@celebrianna Really happy for Kim Min Jae too. When I first saw him in Dr. Romantic, I asked who is this baby faced cutie (he was 19 years old then) but so manly with his deep voice?
What I also really like about episode 14 are two sequences:
SpoilerSong Ah, Min Song and Dong Yoon: Three friends in one frame again. Dong Yoon plays the bridge, not the wedge between his two warmly hugging friends.
Umbrella sequence: As Song Ah faces outwards, one hears a soft pop sound, an umbrella opening (just as the OST begins), then the scene reveals Joon Young sweeping the umbrella up to shelter her one last time.
Though we find no line between, the darkness ahead of them does not augur well, hints to the uncertainty of a future together.

I'm thinking that her accompanist suddenly could not attend her recital (hence her walking away in her coat in the graduation recital's venue) until Joon Young volunteers to be her accompanist.
53 minutes ago, Jillia said:But also see finally playing together? There is better no one (I look at you Jung Kyung) who will interrupt the recital. But also they never practiced together. Don't tell me the drama will give me what I want: them playing together so well naturally because of the love they share.
I admit this is how I imagined them performing together too, with no scenes of Song Ah and Joon Young dissed by annoying classmates, professors and adults. Just them two and the music.
Also makes a great drama moment. Kudos to writer-nim!

Like Song Ah saying to Joon Young, "I trust you to love and protect me." That would be a great touching scene

Long-ish read ahead
2 hours ago, Ameera Ali said:agree , sometimes you need to take a step back and reflect on who you were before everything
Agree too. I thought too this would come up after re-watching ep. 1.
I think Song Ah has a different timing and a rich inner world which makes her a kind of a late bloomer. Takes her some time to get to know people. This may seem slow to others, or shy or inferior. Could be like she started speaking later than other kids, which her worried parents.
Her dad "played classical music at home, saying it was good for her EQ" (from ep. 1). Music and learning the violin had helped her come out of her shell bit by bit and also made her aware and learn of an outside world which follows another kind of beat/measure.
Her family were first to object to her learning music, but even in scenes where her family is grilling her with "what's your plan (in life)?", I found it touching that they are always after her finding her happiness (with dad and upcoming scene with unnie, mom always looks so protective of her baby daughter), worried how she will be and do in life.
Also touching how Minsung asked "Are you happy?" directly to Song Ah, out of view and hearing of other friends. Except for a secret crush, I think Song Ah has shared her struggles with Minsung. We might get another scene between Minsung and Joon Young about this.
6 hours ago, Jillia said:Song Ah: "I'm still envious of people who say what they want to say. At least you can protect yourself. I just don't want to hurt other people." Song Ah!!!!
Having two lawyers in her family, Song Ah surely knows about people who can speak their minds (and for a living too!)
1 hour ago, Jillia said:Oh dear.... someone really needs to save Joon Young from his narcisstic Professor. I'm so glad I never trusted him or pitied him...
Tbh, I wanted to believe Professor Yoo had enough (good) pride in his talent and hard work that has made him a world-renowned teacher. But he just proved the cliche: Those who can't do, teach. He got so greedy as to offer Joon Young to practice at the piano in his office, while making a secret recording then claiming it as his.
To Jung Kyung: can't buy love, girlie. Hyeun Ho is your only friend and hope now.

13 minutes ago, minsunie said:Hm... she did mention her own passing and who Kyunghoo would be helmed by in this ep when talking to JY...
On grandma passing away: At first, I thought no, but it is more forgiving to remember Grandma as trying to be best person she can be. Ms Cha would be the best person to head the foundation, so it will be managed more professionally, and with less patronage.

Creating new feeling and flavor, putting dreamy scenes and favorite quotes together. Cheers to Monday!
For the poll
1. No noble idiocy by Song Ah.
2. No time skip.
3. Not stay. Joon Young will speak gentle no words to Grandma.
Ps. had a sneaky thought Joon Young might do the noble I by dropping out of piano competition for one reason or another. With the accidental meeting with Song Ah protective mom and sister led me to think that that is a really good real reason to win the competition, to impress/assure Song Ah family. For now, Joon Young is not exactly the ideal partner by parents views (no stable home and job :), though he is really cute.

@Sky8lue Me too!
And I would like to take this moment to thank you all Brahmsies for sharing your comforting thoughts and feelings. It is wonderful yet nerve-wracking too, unpacking the ups and downs of this warm drama, I swear I could not have gotten through DYLB without all of you! Thank you all so much!

Just enjoying a bit of camera work. As it stayed on Song Ah, I thought where is Joon Young now? You hear the footsteps first and then a shadow...
It felt like a homage to the popular water glass shot from Jurassic Park, when the water ripple warned that something's coming

@marsha G @Yq Tan It would be possible for the production to use a local location and make it seem like it is overseas, similar to the New York City scenes in earlier episodes
Edit: I did notice the production would show before and after scenes for Joon Young's overseas competitions while scenes with a full orchestra are reserved for when the performances are in Seoul. I could imagine it would be a logistic challenge to have so many people on the shooting set while still observing social distancing

Agree with you about the melodrama here I do find there is a bit of difference, that is, the first time, when they were friends, what Song Ah did was to break off from the friendship with Joon Young. For this 2nd time, they are a couple. I wonder what would Song Ah?

@Jillia I think this is after and Song Ah comes to see if he is alright. About the parallel scenes, either these lead to an upward or downward spiral, in drama or in real life. Appreciate these gif(t)s much.
@Sky8lue love the way sbs is sending us their love with all these pics.
Lookee, these two again
