When he said "I really like you", that came out of the blue. His first message for her selfie cam was serious and talked about how sad he was that filming had come to end. When she asked him to say something bizarre, I personally think none of them expected that his idea of "bizarre" was telling her he really likes her.
I have a feeling that Lee Hyun-jin (Gun-woo) tried to diffuse the awkwardness of his "bizarre" message by also saying he really likes her, but was quick to follow it up with "especially because I'm a fan of SJH" unlike SSH. So when it probably occurred to SSH that even Kim Seo-kyung (nurse Byeong-jin) had "safe" messages for SJH and that his initial "I really like you" could be either misinterpreted or taken as too short that it could presumably be dismissed by her, that's when he added to his initial message.
If we think about it, there really was no need for him to add to his message. Did he do a follow-up message because he wanted to clarify what he initially meant? We don't know. All we know is him saying he really likes her came out of the blue.

@TotoroSY because I recognized the ones responding to me on Twitter that's why I went here to at least be able to say my side especially when I saw your post.
@girlpepper this thread is public. Posts here are often shared and quoted. Haven't we long established that this thread is often visited by the media and the celebrities, themselves?
Like I said on Twitter, I am not active in this thread. I drop by from time to time but as I'm a busy mom, I can hardly keep up. So the last time I read about the Pavilions vs Ralph's discussion was back in May when @lemontree posted her detailed comparison. I would often show her post in discussions with fellow fans.
My point here is, had I seen @cloyfan's June post (and that of the others') sure, I would have also given that proper credit, no questions asked.
But see, not everyone online visits Soompi or has the time to keep up with just how fast this thread is. In fact, up until last night, I was discussing lemontree's post with someone who was not sold on the idea that the supermarket was Pavilions. The same can be said at another BinJin IG thread published yesterday where people were still surprised at the idea that the grocery was not Ralph's.
It just so happened yjscap went to the branch this morning. And she allowed me to share her photos and videos.

I would appreciate it if people could see that I'm the last person who would not give credit where it's due. The posts I published on Twitter and Instagram had credit for the owners of the photos (misakichidayo and yjscap).

+1 on this. Frustrating, but very true. I almost answered back at someone who mockingly told me at the heonhye IG "What are you, 10?" when I tried to explain that it's quite common in K-Ent for celebrities to either deny dating rumors or evade questions pertaining to their personal lives. I had to hold myself back and remind myself that it's going to be a very long journey for this ship and along the way, we'll encounter people who will mock our OTP and shippers like us. This is mainly because overseas fans, for one, leverage their expectations of these couples to that of their own cultures and traditions. So when something goes amiss or does not come out as expected, like in the case of the M&M Q&As, people are quick to mock and criticize without so much as of a consideration that the event did not solely focus on one person or any of the guy's personal lives. And even if it did, SSH, being the K-Ent veteran that he is, would either have had the questions filtered through his agency or know how to answer without revealing anything that he might deem improper for the situation.
That being said, I'll be in this ship for as long as there are crumbs and for as long as he doesn't get paired with another actress who, heaven forbid, would have the same level of interaction with him as he did with our SJH.
Plus, oh my Victory Contents... still dropping DM photos a month and two days after its finale? I have never seen this with tvN! It feels like they're just seeking for validation and justification for another project for the two!

Ladies, help.
Could you help me piece together their timeline at least from July 2? Like when their last day of filming was (was it the seaside proposal that was shot that day?) and when their wrap-up party was? When the BTS of SSH saying he really likes SJH was shot, when did that happen?
Sorry. Confused here as I'd always thought their last day of filming was July 2 and that the wrap-up happened that night.

There was no specific question asked that is related to Dinner Mate or SJH. All the actors were asked general questions.
But he was asked, not verbatim, about the nicest compliment he remembered receiving. He said, a fan thanked him for his work on DM; that because of it, the fan believed in love, again.

I couldn't scratch the song off my head the moment I saw the BTS clips, especially the "I Really Like You" one. I think, it's this ship's strongest receipt so far, at least where he's concerned. And the timing of what we all think were her responses, several days later in her interviews couldn't have been more perfect! It's as though she's saying that when he told her he meant what he said, she heard that message loud and clear. In one of dinner_couple's translated posts on IG, turns out, SJH was also invited by Kim Young-chul to be in the same radio interview but found it hard to wake up early that day. My delulu mind is thinking, what if she did make it on time and both she and SSH didn't have other plans that day? He could have possibly invited her for... *clears throat* dinner.

It's a coincidence. Nothing to see here, guys. That sounds good, let's publish that.

I've always held the position that their statements about LA were weirdly worded and fishy at best so much so that at one point, I was so tempted to dissect their statements, word for word. I think SSH would be more careful about going public this time, after what happened with his last relationship. His declaration on SJH's BTS camera might be the last that we'll hear of it until they're either about to get married or they've broken up.
As for SJH, she seems like an extremely private person offcam. Between her and SSH, she seems more unused to dealing with the public eye. If he really likes her, I think he would probably be quite protective of her and wouldn't want to subject her to the scrutiny of the media if ever they were dating.
You know, I absolutely love everything you said here. It only means we can continue shipping them and they won't say or deny a thing because I dare say what they have is true!
Speaking of "True", here's "True" by Ryan Cabrera for our guy. Posted this because the lyrics fits SSH's narrative towards how he acted offcam with SJH, and how he's tentative with his actions and words towards her at first, until he eventually found it best to tell her his feelings in the end with his supposedly "bizarre" *cough* "I really like you". We can see how, during the final day of filming's BTS with SJH, he didn't want his message for her to be lost in the messages of their other male co-stars so he followed it up with how he's happy to be with her and how he means it.

Around that time, political tension between the North and the South was high because of defectors allegedly spreading bad propaganda. And prior to or during the airing of CLOY, the drama drew negative criticism from the North.

About the DM cast and crew, I think it's quite common for those involved in a production such as that to have a non-disclosure agreement clause in their contract. Even the output of the one filming the BTS is subject to approval first before being released. So yes, there is always that possibility of the filming cast and crew to know something. And even if naysayers counter that things might have just been for the sake of "promo", I doubt SSH and SJH would do anything that may potentially involve them in a (dating) rumor of which they do not wish to be a part. It's pretty easy to stay warm and friendly but detached from your co-star even during BTS filming, but we all saw it's not the case for our OTP.

She's also one of the two girls that co-run the heonhyecouple IG with me. I personally blame her for opening my eyes to SSH's charm and the undeniable chemistry between him and SJH. She is a heck of an enabler like all of you in this shipping thread.
@huckleberrymoonriver I hope so, too! I love the fact that the two have this laid-back vibe that they seem to share. I hope that helps pave the way for something more especially now that they're on break from filming. Timing couldn't have been more perfect. No distractions, no heavy professional commitments that could keep them from getting to know each other better.

Funny you mentioned that! A friend and I were just discussing his courage. I can personally sense his level of hesitation and fear, and appropriately enough as he has come from a relationship where it was the girl who broke up with him. But then, from the bts clips, we can see how he was either hiding and/or gauging his growing admiration for SJH through his jokes and pranks. I mean, don't we have that old saying that says guys who constantly joke around you, more often than not, are the ones who want to get your attention because they like you? In the end, during their final filming day, when asked by her to revise his serious fan message on the BTS camera, of all things he could say, he had to choose "I really like you" and then stared at her, then supplementing what he said with "I am happy to be with SJH/I like being with SJH... I mean it" even if his two wingmen finished their neutral message for SJH. If that isn't him taking that bold step at confessing, then I don't know else is.

This was the reason why I wanted to find out which came first... the I Really Like You bts or the seaside proposal scene. Because after either of the two, we had the wrap-up party where they looked okay and in good terms.
