Now, if I were the one who had posted that Pavillion/Pelican vid and saw TotoroSY’s post, I would have replied “Oops sorry for forgetting to acknowledge. A big thank you to lemon tree, cloyfan, CartPusher, Elle R etc….”  AND proceed to edit my IG post to reflect those pioneer sleuths. Had that been done, I believe we would have been spared the gunfight.  Instead, TotoroSY’s post was somehow taken as a personal insult and responded to in that way. From that point, the gunfight began. A flood of to and fro posts, for and against . 

 

Many of us recently acknowledged and thanked cybertron for being the pioneer of this BJ thread. It was well earned and a good thing to do. So what was wrong with TotoroSY doing the same thing for lemontree and the others?  Was the IG post edited to reflect them after it was pointed out? As for the potential effect on SYJ – think about it –  did SYJ choose that resort because it was conveniently located to visit her friend from there? If the vid goes viral, it’s possible that SYJ might lose that convenience and have to look for some other place instead when she next visits. Also, the pic of her friend in the resort lobby was featured in that vid – could it result in people or paparazzi (don’t forget Cross will be an American directed film) starting to dig up info about that LA friend? These are indeed potential privacy issues for SYJ and her friend.

 

So to answer the shipper’s question as to whether the revelation of a resort is more an invasion of privacy than taking a pic of SYJ taking out trash, the answer is, IF there is the “friend factor” in relation to the resort (as in the Pelican case), then both scenarios present privacy-invasive possibilities and worthy of restraint when thinking to IG it. Yet, the animosity in those posts spiraled upwards culminating in TotoroSy being alluded to as someone “riding a high horse” and references to condescending attitude?? THAT is spectacularly unfair.  Seeking to rightly acknowledge the relevant shipper sleuths and to ponder over the effect on SYJ/her friend is not a gag order. It’s the decent thing to do.

 

Which brings me to my main point:   HB and SYJ have been very generous to us fans/shippers. They approved the CLoY bts to be shown, they don’t interfere with the myriad BinJin socmed accts, they show their affection to us during Baeksang/TikTok and their many interviews, they even write fan letters and post floral pics to us for heaven’s sake, they deliver crumbs and cookies to us during all these months. To repay that kindness, we can at least offer them … our thoughtfulness. SURE, it isn’t possible to set up an objective criteria for what is “thoughtful” and “appropriate” to post. However, we need to at least think about WHERE we are posting our stuff. I’m singling out Twitter and IG as sites to be careful of because these two are hives of indiscretion, where very little is sacred. It is a free-for-all, lawless country where clicks/responses are often more important than the people/subject matter themselves. Although Soompi is not failsafe too, at least here, there is the chance to put things into context, include qualifiers like “this is only my theory” and other precautionary words. But on Twitter/IG, it’s no holds barred and THAT IS WHY I am making an appeal to shippers who post on those platforms or who have friends who have big accts there to be thoughtful towards our BJ. How? We need to self-regulate and be guided by questions like “If I post this, will this inconvenience BJ/HB/SYJ? Will it embarrass them? Will it force them to go deeper underground? I believe if we check ourselves with these considerations, there is a reduced danger of misuse and abuse of info but other users of those platforms. Not a guarantee but a weighted risk. It will take a miracle for all socmed users to do this but as BJ shippers, we can give it a shot. It’s worth being thoughtful. It will go towards creating  a “safe environment” for BinJin to be more open about themselves and maybe even share a little more of themselves with us and not have to live fugitive lives because of what we do. We can do it. We can do it for our BinJin.

Duh. How fked up is that. Billie Eilish called, she wants her line back! 

 

Anyway, this difficult conversation had to happen at some point but know that for many of us, TotoroSY's good intentions (then and now) were very clear and well taken and I personally, strongly agree on this one. It does not in anyway make her or Soompi claim superiority or be controlling or whatever (like we have the actual power??), only narrow-minds would think that. There is also no seniority or hierarchy here -- was there some sort of webinar i missed cuz i never knew of any of this?!? And if i have to rank myself, im as junior as the next one signing up here right now so i really dunno what senior or superior means. All i know is we are guided by this forum's rules (with or without moderators), our own sense of responsibility and maturity. I've been called out myself, had my off-topic posts deleted/edited by mods, received and gave negative reactions, agreed and disagreed with any random shipper. We all make mistakes, we all have our own share of wild delulus -- and so we are here to remind each other and reel us back to our senses. If some shippers don't see the benefit of having EQ and exercising discretion (bec really, it's hard!) for the sake of our OTP, it's their problem, so let's not lose sleep over it. Let's go back to regular programming...

I wouldn't say "hides" cuz that may have implications on tax haha. i guess she'd rather not disclose unless really required imho. It's open secret she's k-ent's biggest star and with that comes $$$ you can do the math from there (Smart alone allegedly paid --- unconfirmed amount lol). 

 

YJ also seems very humble and down to earth basically not materialistic, so it makes sense that she keeps it low key. Being named top-paid actress is not a concern, but being top-awarded+being cow yejin are what's important to her.

about joint CF... just my opinion, it has not been confirmed and if there will be one i heard it may mean Smart will have to plunk down $$$ again.

 But considering that most events, sports and concerts in PH have been cancelled for the year, then Smart probably is awash with cash rn. Fyi for non-fils, Smart's Chairman is a BIG sports patron, so i wouldn't be surprised if budgets for those cancelled pro-sports sponsorships will be realigned to go all in with a chapter 3 CF with both Binnie and Jinnie in one frame together again (i wanna say i'm dead but we can't die yet bec we still have binjin married to wait for, but im really emotional just thinking about it)...  
 

anyway if budget will not be an issue, and our OTP's schedules would permit it (uhm, it's a 2-day shoot max y'all!)... plus, CF overall storyline is already unfolding.. in conclusion... a 3rd CF is possible and will def be on the table... let's keep our eyes peeled but i must say im beaming with optimism!

 

i think Smart's gonna be watching like a hawk fan's reaction/support and customer engagement after YJ launch and go from there.. So we shippers better bring our A-game, get our exhilaration and jubilation known across all media platforms to register the response Smart wanna see! However, with them come TN promo period time, they can't tell us more detail on this  Except Binnie says they met at PIFAN and Jinnie talks about her SeGa cameo (or basically kept it more work related telling us the reshoots/audio recording lol). I wonder why 

 

YEH is the girl from Coffee Prince right? I think i also stumbled upon an old clip from her talking about how she met SYJ and she said even when our queen was so tired that day from the shoot (i guess it was Personal Taste?) SYJ still met her, helped/coached her with her acting as she was a newbie or something like that.. i really love love YJ (and HB too) being generous to younger actors.

and yejinshi looked down as if to check how much of her soul she actually revealed right there (wait what did she tell him there u think she thanked him for cautioning her?) Im curious coz it says so much about how comfortable they are already with each other at that point... and how attentive HB had been with her particularly that promo day, it tells me he's making his presence felt already ala-Capt Ri the Bodyguard even before he played the CLOY Capt Ri.

 

and i thought YJ blushed then probably screaming inside omo omo binshii saw my?!? Or maybe she played it cool, like "uhm actually i was going for that peekaboo effect"--she did pull up her skirt just above her knees right after they were seated right?  lolzzzz I dunno! just so much mini stories formed in my mind from that 3 second exchange.. its my delulu dont fight me.

 

And i think Yj swooned a few times that day with HB the protector on red alert quick on his feet to warn her to cover up, or to pick up her mic, or to catch her arm when she almost slid... and he kept complimenting her acting and told the MC that he relied on her (made her giggle again) and that she took care of him well...and so yejinshii returned the favor and also gave him 100 points even if HB gave her just 90 points... coz she liked acting with him even just thru their monitors... wow i didnt realize i was watching The Swoon Compliment Me prequel lolz. Note this was in the early part of their promo days (2nd or 3rd day?) but im really convinced that day was pivotal, esp for her. Then during the photo ops their arms and elbows were touching while they were doing the heart sign  (that exact pic from totorosy) and HB who never liked doing that was happily obliging YJ... those electrifying slight arm brushes made it all worth it i guess... 

 

I noticed HB ever so hawttt and extra chivalrous there but seemingly still very shy towards her. She must have understood that most men act that way with THE Son Ye Jin/nation's first love but she made him comfortable with that giggly 100 points score she gave him (i thought HB almost fell from his seat from YJ's teasing). She clearly got the hots for him and the unassuming HB got the confirmation he needed: she admires him as much as he admires her. And the rest is history...

 

looking at their TN promo series below, it's like 12 dates they had. and by 30 Sep 2018 their budding romance is in full bloom. Its my delulu dont dont fight fight me me!

@Shippers imho fanfic is not equal to delulu per my understanding. i think there's a Soompi fanfic section so any fanfic dropped in here would be more appropriate in that section. Just a thought 

 

As for double standards... i don't get to read everything in here, but i've seen a few slips that's true. But also i do believe we self-regulate quite efficiently here and unsavory statements against other parties are usually called out and addressed.

Lately i've been enjoying BInJin+PDNim audio commentaries on TN making of... YJ always making funny comments and observations and HB just soaking in all her witty remarks and laughing giddily together. 

 

One day in 20__ i want them Mr & Mrs to also annotate/commentate a compilation of all BinJin receipts like below-- from their TN promos, CLOY BTS and Swoon interviews, Baeksang and beyond.. and tell us exactly their POVs on what was going on in each of them building blocks of their budding romance... it'll be fun hearing their reactions to the gazillion times the camera caught them making heart eyes with each other.. waahhh im already tearing up just thinking about it!

@Riritobinjin isn't it great? We don't understand Hangul and each other's native languages but we are all here bonded by love for BinJin and they also giving the love back to us! Love in this time of pandemic is the redemption and hope we all need to keep going this 2020! BinJin knows Kilig is the best cure for our drought and they're alternately showering us all with kilig feels! What a great week! I love this ship!

Yejinsshi always thinks 3 or 4 steps ahead, she's got this. No denials no backlash no bad vibes is forthcoming. She knows what she signed on and Binnie discussed thoroughly with her how things may play out, they decided on this, together as one (or in Yejin's words "we didn't talk about it but we wished the other would accept" which made HB snort).

 

They probably already have an idea what delulu fans fr PH and the world over are capable of doing (holding hands under the table, edited photos, fakesubs, etc), yet she's still onboard. It means they're fine with fans going crazy w their theories and wishes... binjin married would be somthing they'd "laugh off". And really, it's tongue in cheek humor nothing serious, Filipinos just have a weird humor sometimes they've no qualms making you feel uncomfortable. Singletons get asked about marriage even in funerals. Teasing about couple weddings or getting married is nothing to worry or be shocked about. It's more fun to delulu in the Philippines! (Btw how did the word delulu came to be here? I suspect it was coined by a Filipino fan?)

 

I remember many here were also worried that a new denial would be issued from YJ's liking-spree before.. but did it happen? All that worrying for nothing?! Waste of energy isn't it? and i'll bet my cute patootie no denial will happen here neither. this is a conscious decision they made here. it took her how long to decide from the time Smart Exec first hinted with "Capt Ri will be lonely if he is alone"?-- roughly 2 months to ponder and both their agencies are obviously part of that decision making process. And maybe Jenny, too lolz. They've thought all these through i'm sure of it.

 

So i enjoin you all to lay your worries to rest, and trust that binjin got this. They will not denybut also, a literal confirmation may actually be moot at this point. WYSIWYG. If anybody asks them rn if they are dating, YJ will probably scoff and say "what do you think? Our hints not enough?" And HB will say "Should we do more?"... They are SMART, let's keep with it and it's been said their relationship is pretty much open secret in SK.

On another note, it's good to see SYJ joins HB for SMART.  And the timing of the filming couldn't be more perfect. I feel like SMART purposely begins SJY's filming after HB leaves for Jordan, so that they could spend some quality time together before he leaves and if SYJ is busy working now she wouldn't miss HB too much and before she knew it, HB would be back in SK. Something is bugging my mind though...if they know SYJ is joining HB for the SMART CF, then when HB kept bringing SYJ's name up on the interview, how do you know if they didn't  ask him to do it on purpose for marketing? 

no i dont think so. the interview happened at a time when Smart was still in the early stage of negotiating with YJ so it's too risky to force the issue via an interview with HB. and really, HB just unintentionally brought her up like a teenage guy smitten who cannot stop talking about his girl. Adorable babies these two!
