I have no problem explaining x

 

- Naeun often finishes work late (e.g. "last schedule of the day" instastory). I know people like to say she's not doing much, but she is busy. Even just shooting CFs can be really time consuming on top of self-management (e.g. if you've got a photo shoot scheduled for 3 pm, you'll probably be in hair & makeup from 12 pm). The creative / entertainment industries love starting work late, which is why you see most celebrities work until 1-3 am and sleep until late morning, except if you're really booked and busy, you'll be working in the morning too and only sleeping for around 4 hours per day. Also, most schedule is 'hidden' / inaccessible to fans, e.g. private networking parties, regular business meetings with the agency label (discussing things like creative direction), beauty/fitness maintenance (very important if your face and body are your money-makers), and of course, auditions and script readings. Actresses at Naeun's level don't just get handed a script by their management, which they then simply accept. No, they must go and audition in person, often several rounds, after reading through dozens of scripts and picking the ones that will best suit you and your career path. Even top veteran actors must go through this process for certain type of roles and directors. Essentially, what I mean by all that, is that Naeun is not just sitting at home and eating fries even if it doesn't appear like she's working full-time to fans. I've seen idols and actors with less activities than her talk about how busy they are - even SHINee often said that even when they're not appearing before fans, they're still constantly working. Some of it is truly boring stuff like sitting in on corporate meetings because your entire brand image needs to be planned ahead and discussed.

 

- In turn, even if Taemin works from, say, 9 am to 5 pm, as a soldier in public service, he might not get to see Naeun at all if she's working from 3 pm to midnight. Also, Taemin, unfortunately, because he's Taemin, is also not free even when he's off work. This crazy workaholic actually rents out dance practice rooms with his own money and is basically living the busy life of a trainee idol  I have almost no doubt in my mind that he's secretly preparing for other things to unleash on us the second he comes back. But the point is that he could be busy by the virtue of being physically unable to rest and at this point I'm so done with that stubborn child lol it's like trying to put an overactive toddler to bed 

 

- You've mentioned him going to that football game during his day off. That game was on Wednesday 13th of July. Guess what Naeun was doing that day? Working. That green dress photoshoot. So they didn't spend his day-off together, though it's possible that he and her spent the day before that together as she randomly posted a bunch of wintertime pictures on the 12th (a date with Taemin = winter? ).

 

- The whole thing about him being in public service makes him more open to public scrutiny and attacks if he's caught doing something he shouldn't so actually, their relationship carries the highest risk now. The second they get caught, I almost guarantee that the first comment will be "so he has the energy to date but not to actively serve" and he knows it too which is why he is staying off social media completely even on his days off (unlike the other members who regularly updated us during their time off at least). Taemin has always been overly careful (might be the sole reason why Taeun continue to be a secret to this day).

 

So, in conclusion, just because they seem more free to date doesn't mean they get to see each other every day. I bet they do see each other more often than back when Taemin was constantly promoting and flying around all the time, but it's not as often as Taeunians would like. He's also focusing on his mental recovery and Naeun is trying to establish herself as a full-time actress and fashion icon separate from the Apink brand so they're both busy with self-development at the very least. If they were together more often, we'd see the same steady stream of 'hints' on Naeun's instagram at least as we've seen in the past but we don't get them as much.

 

Oh and the reason why Naeun may still be "waiting for" Taemin even if she does get to see him more often than before... she is a shawol, remember? All the shawols are waiting for him to stand on the stage again. So this could also be her expressing her inner shawol-ness (though I'm not disagreeing with what you said before about it possibly being to do with her drama schedule, since that's also a possibility, this post is about whether or not they truly get to meet up often) x

 

Off-topic but I recently saw an article about several female celebs, including Naeun listed at #2, being "motae solos"  they even listed Chungha... I had a good laugh that day to say the very least.

It's been a long time since I posted on here but I think I caught on to a new hint and would love to hear your thoughts on it.

I think this panda is alluding it to be somehow related to Hayoung but for reasons too sensitive to discuss here out of respect for pandas, I will just say that I don't think it's about Hayoung at all. I think it's about Taemin. So, without getting into any unrelated discourse, here are my 3 reasons why I immediately thought of Taemin:

 

1. It was his birthday yesterday, but posting it then might have made it too obvious.

 

2. "You know it too, the best things in the world are worth waiting for." Who is Naeun so obviously waiting for? Who else but Taemin?

 

3. "Miracle of a Rainy Day" we all know that Taemin is called a Rain God by fans right? Even he always laments how he brings rain with him everywhere he goes - we got some forever iconic performance stages from it, like when it only started raining during Taemin's Move performance at 2018 Dream Concert and stopped immediately afterwards. Rain is also a common motif used in his music videos and lyrics. The second I saw "worth waiting for" + "rain", it hit me like a freight train.

 

But I will welcome all differing views! It's been a long time since we've gotten any obvious hints from them like this one.

Their behaviour is normal for any Kpop fandom and nothing about their post even suggests that they're thinking that Taemin is their romantic soulmate - shawols always write things that promises their loyalty to SHINee even when the members will be grandpas, because we never want SHINee to end and the members themselves have candidly talked about this topic at length. You can't message random non-shippers about it and expect them to take you seriously. Also, many shawols dislike Naeun and/or WGM so doing so only encourages fan wars and mass hate. Naeun already gets bashed enough on public forums so it's best to stay away from that as things can often get ugly and it's mainly Naeun and her fans who get hurt in the end.

Nope, those are HIS ideas, not SM's and SM does not deserve any credit for them. They're related to his religious identity so they're not to be taken lightly. Taemin makes and even helps edit his own MVs, he handpicks the directors, and SM has very little involvement in it. Some of those theories are offensive to shawols and Taemin because I've seen people suggest that his personal tattoos - which he already confirmed to be very personal to him - are linked to the SMCU because of butterflies flying around the flower :s

 

Anyways, Taemin not being part of the SMCU is more or less official which is why his MVs do not contain any teasers for other artists at the end. The only other artists confirmed for the SMCU are BoA, SUJU, EXO and Red Velvet. Karina was only a trainee back then and she got criticised a lot for featuring in his song so her debut wasn't even certain at that point.

As for the SMCU thing, Taemin is basically the same as Nick Fury of SM, if we're going by Marvel references... He is the one who gathered SuperM and summoned Aespa, hence why people consider him the 'main character', but his solo works and SHINee's works are not included in the SM cinematic universe, only his SuperM work, so he's a big part of it but also not part of it at all...

Not at all! Korean and Japanese shawols have asked people not to spread this rumor, because it has nothing to do with it. The fan meeting was cancelled because Taemin's health crashed and it took them four days to be able to report that he's okay. He hasn't been eating or sleeping properly for weeks on top of hectic schedule so this isn't much of a surprise, but the clarification email highlights the management's fault and their "immaturity" for not taking better consideration for his mental and physical health. Tbh I've read multiple translations of the email and my guess is that he collapsed from exhaustion - it wouldn't be the first time a SHINee member has fainted due to overworking, and it explains why they suddenly panicked 15 minutes before the event started... that part is just my speculation though.

I said I was going to stay away from this forum thread until Taemin returns from the army because I wanted to focus on sending him off properly this month without having to burden - or be burdened by - anyone here, since it's already hard for me to see him go as it is... but I also couldn't help but notice that there are a few misconceptions in the thread now that probably need to be addressed in case they confuse fans. I will address some of those things at the bottom.

 

Anyway, Taemin is going through a visibly hard time right now, and many bad things have happened to him in the past few days, if not weeks, so he isn't always going to make the most rational decisions all the time. Some things he says may seem like an obvious overstep to you but they may not appear like that for him. He's just a normal guy who happens to work in the entertainment industry and he tries to express himself to fans as well as he can before he must leave them. Ultimately, the relationship between the artist and the fan is a bit of a two-way street; it takes some level of trust to maintain this level of loyalty and dedication over the years. You could say it's a bit like faith? Fans must believe in Taemin's sincerity for them to patiently wait for him and Taemin in return must believe in his fans' sincerity for him to leave confidently. With that said, not everything Taemin will say or do will have Naeun in mind. Most of the time, when communicating with fans, he's not going to be thinking of Naeun at all, because she's not involved. I get that pandas may feel upset at this because they must think that if he's planning on one day marrying Naeun, then he's putting her in an awkward or risky position if his fans feel betrayed by him in the end, but to shawols, it doesn't seem like that at all. The "fans" who will feel betrayed and leave the fandom over his dating news will do so anyway, no matter how he handles it. The fans that feel the sincerity of his love and dedication to them and his craft will stay no matter what.

 

As a proof of this, just think back to the WGM era. Back then, many shawols were actually feeling frustrated with Taemin because he was not communicating directly with fans or expressing himself well at that time, so many fans thought he was too aloof and awkward. Some felt that he didn't care about the fandom and/or fame that much... he was just very introverted, had no social media presence, and he barely showed his caringness at all, so he was often misunderstood... On the other hand, most shawols admitted back then that Taemin had a very good private vs public separation wall; he kept his private life very private and avoided serious questions about his personal feelings or love life so fans didn't have any reason to believe he was in some fantasy relationship with them or that he belonged to them. At the time, he openly refused to do most fan service and people disliked that about him too. Despite how well he managed his private vs public life, delusional fans still went after Naeun when it came to WGM. You could not blame it on SHINee being rookies - they were already considered industry veterans back when K-pop still had the 5-year-curse, not even the 7-year-curse, and were considered slightly past their peak (before hitting another peak with View lol. You could also not blame it on their fans' ages - they always had a bit more of an older fandom thanks to their debut concept, especially in South Korea and Japan, and a big portion of Taemin's fandom consisted of older, often married women. Finally, you could not blame it on his "innocent maknae" image since Taemin practically shredded it in 2012 especially with "Internet War" and punk rock phase that caused a lot of his immature fans to leave already back then (he even had a smoking scandal lol). So why did they go this hard after Naeun? Well, the answer is because they were going to do so anyway, no matter what time, and no matter with who. His fans didn't change since then. This will always happen to him, no matter who is involved, when he reveals it, or how he handles it, but ultimately, those people are just a very loud minority. But this still leads to the question... why is he suddenly changing his tactics with fans?

 

Apart from what @forevernampyeon_has said, I also think he must feel it's okay to be this open and honest with fans because he's confident that his relationship will not be revealed. Why? It's because his Korean and Japanese fan sites already know about him dating. This isn't anything new or surprising with the K-pop industry, but his fan sites have been helping him keep his relationship hidden for over half a decade now. This is what I mean about faith... he knows that as long as he has his fans' love and support, and pays them back in equal measure of love and care, then they will protect him and close their eyes to all the hints that are practically out in the open now. The fan sites that haven't been able to accept his relationship have closed a long time ago, the ones that are here are quietly ignoring them. If you ever wonder why other idols can be exposed for dating with only 2-3 couple items, while our Taeun couple is practically wearing each other's masks on their faces without any detection, it all comes down to willful ignorance. His fans know, they're just choosing to ignore and mask the evidence. This is why they left out the calobye items from their inventory list when scrutinizing the items in his kitchen. This is why they don't make any comments about certain suspicious instagram posts. Shawols are a very protective fandom, which can be both good and bad, but ultimately, they will work to the benefit of Taemin (not necessarily to the benefit of Naeun, they don't care about her). But, of course he's lonely, he can't actually date Naeun properly - they're practically dating long-distance, meeting up only when it's safe to do so. He is also lonely because of his career, not because of anything to do with the people in his life. He is lonely without fans, he is lonely when he is away from home because of fans, etc, it's one never-ending cycle for him. We can only pat his back when he expresses himself like this.

 

Now, I would just take this time to correct some misconceptions that I've read in previous pages. Sorry for booting in so late, I just don't want there to be any further misunderstandings 

 

1. Taemin wrote "2 Kids" with help from Jo Yoon-kyoung, but actually, even when Taemin chooses not to write the lyrics himself, he still dictates what is supposed to be written by the songwriters so the themes or stories of the lyrics come from him. "Advice" is an example of that; he didn't write the lyrics, but he told the songwriter what to write. It doesn't apply for every single song but generally speaking, Taemin tweaks, changes and adapts every single song he receives, he has full creative control over his works now and SM generally lets him do whatever he wants when it comes to his own discography. He makes the songwriters remix or rewrite entire songs whenever he's not happy with the final product (like he did with Black Rose).

 

2. The vocal trainer from YG is a woman, not a man, and more so, she's a long-time shawol who's been quietly supporting SHINee for years, but recently became open with her shawol identity on her professional twitter page, which is how she got noticed by Taemin (manager Nam Euisoo showed her posts to him I think). She is a Taemin fangirl and has all of his albums going back to the Ace (2014) era. She's also seen their Beyond Live concerts, follows Taemin's bubble account, and has pretty much lost her mind on twitter when she realized that Taemin - her idol - finally noticed her. It really has nothing to do with Naeun lol

 

3. Yes, the polaroid album belongs to Key. He brought it over to Taemin's house and Taemin said that he used to get quite annoyed with Key's polaroid obsession back then because he used to take so many pictures of the members and even hung them above Taemin's bed, in Taemin's private space, that's why there are so many photos of Taemin in there.

Hello.

 

This is a very difficult post for me and I suspect it might get deleted by the admin soon if not relevant enough but I wanted to come say goodbye for now... I am taking a break from this forum thread until Taemin comes back from the military, unless something significant happens that either proves or disproves Taeun (like their dating or marriage news). I feel like if Taemin was truly testing the waters before, then shawols discouraged him from coming out with any kind of relationship news for another few years, so I don't expect to read about any believable hints about them for the time being. I might still come lurk here once in a while to check my DMs but other than that, I am officially on 'hiatus' until November 2022.

 

Thank you for all your fun discussions and I hope this post doesn't discourage you in any way because I still have reasons to wholeheartedly believe in Taeun and although I don't expect to see many Taeun updates until Taemin's release, I hope that you won't stop supporting SHINee and Apink.

Btw, I was watching Solar and Eric's WGM right now cause I find Solar cute in Queendom so I thought I should give her WGM a try and then Eric happened to sing Ra.D's I'm In Love to Solar on their 1st meeting and I was immediately reminded of our Taeun couple! I really miss them so much despite just being a fan for 4 months. Can't imagine how u guys feels esp those who have been w/ them since 2013. 

 

It was never officially revealed but since Key is now a cast member on I Live Alone, the general public recognized the neighborhood from his balcony view, etc, and Taemin's little slip up on V Live only further confirms it ^^

 

I can't speak for others, but personally, it's not like I'm actively waiting around for them or anything - it's just that it's very obvious to me that they are dating from all the hints we've gotten and the fact that neither one of them have dating rumors with other people - and I'm content with that belief alone. I just happen to be a shawol who also really cherishes Apink so keeping up with all their updates comes easily for me, but it's not the same feeling as waiting around for the boys to be released from the army or for Apink to finally make a group comeback lol

 

In fact, I have no expectations of them announcing their dating news in the next five, or even ten years... zero expectations at all, only curiosity ^^

what made it even funnier is that Key patted Taemin's head and called him his baby just a few minutes before that in the joint SHINee instalive  lol but as soon as Taemin actually made a fist against Key's face, I legit checked whether his thumb was inside or outside his fist - I didn't trust him to even get that part right

Why do we have the same delulu thoughts today....  that is exactly what I thought... Key mocking the idea of Taemin possibly being a big bad bully, which is about as ridiculous as the whole Chorong bully accusation...

 

Oh SHINeeXApink crumbs !! Apink's "Hush" (also my fave Apink song of all time btw) will feature on Amazing Saturday tomorrow ! And of course, Key is the fixed guest on that show so you'll have Key guessing his sister-in-law's lyrics

Oh no that is actually where Key lives !! Key lives in UN Village - he is also the one who is dropped off first (Taemin complained in the video that he lives too far away) lol Taemin's place is in the same building complex as SM's new building.

 

Edit: Tho yes, Taemin is not just rich, but actually one of the richest K-pop idols overall. I can't imagine the kind of money he raked in during his last Japanese tour, but we're talking millions from just one concert tour.

So it looks like we've finally gotten Taemin updates now that he spent a busy day with his members... I'm glad he's doing ok today, even though his smile did lowkey drop for a second when Key brought up Jonghyun -- that was another thing that I considered about his silence, since it was Jjonggie's birthday anniversary yesterday and it seemed that Taemin needed some time alone I guess. Anyway, I actually recommend rewatching TaeKey's V Live (I will post a youtube link of the video upload) just to cheer up in this hard time... It's pretty hilarious overall. They do speak English for the majority of it.
