I really don't think and agree with this conclusion of "Protecting their relationship for RM".
If there is anything between them, they don't announce it for their sake, and only that. They both are not really ready to public announce it, probably because there is no reason to do it unless a wedding is coming (just like any other famous x famous relationship, we only hear about it officially when there is a wedding coming up (or they got caught)).
JSM literally said she will not announce any type of relationship unless there is a wedding involved (or something like that), and since JSM is really busy with acting, her career is finally blooming and knowing how KJK might think, he definitly won't do anything to harm it. Also the fact that announcing a relationship this controversial might hurt JSM more than KJK internationally (I don't think Korean people care, JSM seems to be loved there) .
I REALLY REALLY don't think it's about RM because, yes, it might start some hate and drama because of certain fans... but that's it. And the argument "one of them has to leave" is also absurde, it's literally GOLD content comedy we are gonna get. Do you imagine, a couple and we are not talking about any couple, it's the angry KJK & crazy JSM paired with the amazing cast of RM ? This has to happen... please ! It would be so much fun to see and completely new to RM. The ratings would skyrocket because of too.
I hyped myself up with this new dynamic that we will probably never see T.T

So jumping to say, the new PD still isn't in charge in these episodes. We will actually see her in charge probably the episode in 3 weeks ? Not sure but probably that.

Bo Pil just stepped down as the producer of Running Man, so there might be some changes in the show. It might mean no more lovelines, or new lovelines.

I'm arriving late to the party, but i feel like some people are reading way too much into small things and some people are trying so hard to look for someone to blame.
A lot of you seem to forget that this is still an actual JOB for all of them, yes they can be themselves, they are friends and all that, but at the end of the day, they have to do what it takes to get people to watch more and get better ratings. I think the whole "Let's blame the production for pushing lovelines" or "YJS and HAHA are being too pushy" type of comments are not the way to go. Yeah it might be annoying, especially as a Kookmin shipper, but at the end of the day, they do it because it's their job to create funny drama moments. KJK not liking the ship with SJH is probably what they expect to happen, so they push harder and that's what they want.
I also believe that next week, we will not having any kookmin comments from YJS (I would be surprised). To be honest I have a couple of thoeries about why he is doing it.
- First one is that, he is simply pushing a weird love triangle and get more "drama". This will be perfect to get viewers back in and it can be funny. ( I know there is the flip side of the fans of SJH being awful to them, but i'm pretty sure they can handle it, actually, i'm 100% this is part of their life and they just try not to focus on it).
- Second one would be, he is testing waters for a new loveline between Somin & KJK. See how general public would react to them and their chemistery (from what i've seen, it's beyond positive) but I don't think they intend to actually make it an actual loveline. Next week, i'm sure we won't hear about it.
- The third one (kookmin delulu), it YJS way of telling the general public "don't be shocked if they get married or rumours about them dating, i'm warning you". It's a small way to tell people that KJK & Somin are actually close, and them being married isn't that farfetched of an idea. He did it before saying "Imagine they get married" and he is doing it again. This is like a warning, don't think what you see is what you get.
Also, if they make it an actual loveline, I don't think it means the ship is sinking. To be honest, I would think it's the opposite. It would probably mean that things are going fast and an annoucement might happen anytime.

Want to add something or two about KJK. He told his friend that we would be perfect for Somin, which frankly speaking, i don't think is a "good thing" for the ship BUT to be honest, for me it just means that IF they are dating, they clearly have NO PLAN to reveal it anytime soon. So them playing around on TV doesn't really matter, because in one year, it wouldn't have mattered what he said.
Also, after the last "sky insta synch" uploads they had, which was THE MOST OBVIOUS one that something was up between them and frankly speaking, I think they felt it too. We haven't had any sky posts for a long while, from neither of them. Isn't it funny ? They used to, out of nowhere, both post about the sky the same day (and it was not on schedule, it was random) and they both stopped doing it, at the same time. Just saying...

Currently watching the episodes, didn't anyone notice at minute 21, KJK was talking and about to sit next to Somin (it was natural too) and HE LITERALLY had a brain freeze, stopped talking for a second, a switched place to sit next SJH.

Because Somin always wanted acting, so i'm pretty sure she is more than happy to do that because of how busy she is (New movie and 2 new TV shows coming up) and leave new variety shows for a bit.

Just a little thing that i found funny during the last episode (570).
KJK decided to focus on JSM to see if she really is a Mafia, and in the minute 39 you could LITERALLY see him only looking at her gestures and her.
Also, more related to the ship, he kept saying "I don't care about the other mafia, i'll only focus on Somin" and SeChan quickly joined him lmao.
Edit: I'm literally watching as it goes and I HAVE NEVER seen KJK act this way (when they started asking her questions). I think this is the most loaded KJK/Somin we've ever had and will have.

Also about Se-Chan, come on. He isn't hoping to date her in real life, let's not go to the other extreme just because it helps the case. Not helping anyone.

Also, there's something you guys missed.
When they are talking about why the guest didn't play along, the first thing he did (When SeChan asked him) he literally points at KJK (2:10).
Also, KJK became EXTREMELY passive in that scene and fidgety. You can see it for yourself, he kept having his head down, not talking much (while he literally could've gone angry or act a bit more, as always) and his eyes were looking everywhere (and the production), this is so out of character.

Just after Somin's first question in the game, she asked a second question. She asks "Someone who likes me ?" you can clearly see someone (KJK) breathing as if he was trying to calm himself or something, I quite don't understand the reasoning behind this. And again, his head is down and the only time he is so "shy" is with Somin's questions. You can literally see him seconds after completely normal.
I don't think this is Delulu on my part, his actions this time are really timed with Somin's actions.

This is genuinely the most stupid weird thing AND I completely agree lol.
When i saw the story of KJK in Insta, i was like "oh i swear if i see a sky from Somin later, they have to be doing it on purpose" and then, I scroll down and what do I see ? Somin already posted something similar and in case you weren't sure it was about the sky, she adds an Emoji of a cloud + a heart... WHY are they being in sync ? I don't get it.
If one post a picture of the sky, the other always do it too. And they are consistant, I think they always do that (or am I wrong ?). This is no longer a delulu mind here nor a simple coincidence, they clearly are doing it on purpose.
I feel like, ever since the jaesok episode (where he was king and they had to prep food for him) and that shot of the two of them are lying down staying apart from everyone (and Somin was kind of "hiding" I think idk). There's clearly something going on there.

Everything before the 10th anniversary event (around that), is non-shipable i think. I know a lot of people like to ship that part especially the Tofu part, but it's clearly only siblings there.
After the 10th Anniversary, i think that's when a lot of people started to notice how close they got and that's when the ship really started (for me at least). What is confirming the ship, for me, it's not really about the on screen moments (tho sometimes they are telling), but it's the weird off screen moments where they are in their bubble alone.
Like for the last episode, it's so weird for them to be chilling alone just when the camera were off because it's simply out of character. Isn't she supposed "to be closer" to Se Chan (business couple) ? And it's not the first time we've seen them alone when the camera was "off" and they were out of focus.
Also, why isn't everyone talking about when Kwangsoo got her a Champagne bottle, KJK screamed "She loves that" (or something like that) ?
Anyway, i genuinely think they are past the whole dating phase lol. I think they are mostly trying to figure stuff out and taking their time with that.

The episode was extremely funny still. We only get a couple of seconds of Chanmin and they clearly show us the guest asking "Is she really his girlfriend" and Kwangsoo saying "No, she is not" and a subtitle "She is just working!".
I also think they probably are pushing for the award. I hope they get it, so we can move on. Not necessarly to Kookmin, but simply create more stories without the obligatory "Chanmin couple". It's getting old.
By the way, there's a Kookmin instagram page and Somin liked one of his posts about her (it didn't have anything related to kookmin, just her interview). It's pretty clear they are aware of the fandom around their ship at this point if you had any doubt (The instagram name is literally Kookmin and a picture of both of them).

Also, i'm literally watching right now. Minute 30:44, Jessi was dancing to her new song and JSM started dancing to it in the background, KJK was more focused on her than the actual performer.

I swear they look like 2 teenagers having a crush on each other and having no idea what to do with those feelings.
Also, i want to add something about the "JSM not feeling like her self". I think (i'm pretty sure actually) she know that in a way, her image on Running Man kind of hurted her chances as an Actress/In the industry. She went all in with Running Man to help it grow and make people laugh but now, she wants to tone down the crazy and act a bit more normal.
I feel it's the right choice to do. She really went all in when she came in Running man and did things that not a lot of female korean actresses would do. That's why she is trying her best to not lose games, because if she has to, she will 100% go all in again. I mean, she still is doing amazing funny stuff, like the fights with KJK & Kwangsoo but i think she is trying to balance those out.

It's wrong of you to assume that someone is sick, unhappy and imagining painful things. The whole thing about KJK is unhealthy and toxic. And even if he was, it's none of your business or ours.
He looks fine, he posted a lot on instagram and is even in a new show that will be airing 4th of august. But just IF he was (I REALLY DOUBT IT), he doesn't want people to see it and wants to be happy so why are you only focusing on the bad things ? Know your place.

The loveline JSM & YSC ended the second they started to admit it was forced. They couldn't just stop it tho', it slowly had to go away to make it more natural (and not just for views). Also, YSC & JSM were always close (just check the old episodes) and the amount of time she likes to tease him is insane.
As for KJK & JSM, i have no idea where it's going. Mixed signales, and when i say "mixed" i mean there's a lot of things showing they are extremely close but there's nothing to actually say "oh yeah, def together". Also, next episode we will have JSM loveline with a guest, we will see how it goes. I feel like it's 100% going to be used in the opening segment than ignored.
By the way, i think dating in the korean celebrity world is extremely different or am i wrong ?

I mean you can delulu for sure but the truth is probably it just didn't make the cut. They joke a lot about things that get cut in the editing room and this probably was edited because they have so much to fill in one single episode.

But seriously, i find it weird how close they are. You can be bestfriends, yeah sure, but the amount of time KJK goes for the unnecessary touches/skinship is very "misleading".

I don't understand your point. You want to drop the show because the zombie explanation doesn't make sense to you, okey. But there is no explanation yet, there is no convenient plot or something missing if you actually didn't finish the season.
There's no "change of rules" if you don't know the rules to begin with. Sorry i don't want to be mean or anything, but your whole post is just assumptions, literally. (BTW the thing you are talking about are HINTS)
As for the Prince reaction, it felt right to me. I have issues with the pacing this season, but the characters were true to themselves. But i guess, we can agree to disagree on this one.
But please, next time before criticizing a show about something, make sure you watch the whole thing.

If we want to go FULL DELULU MODE *ACTIVATED* JSM Started crying out of nowhere, and YJS asked why did she start to cry while KJK was talking. What if she started crying because KJK was telling how his day goes and she started crying because she knew he simply couldn't mention her and that made her cry ? I mean did you guys look at how KJK looked at her and then gave a look at the crew ? it felt he was saying "should we stop for a sec ?" type of look. And she also answer Haha questions before KJK did (not all of them).
