    If GG's age is based on mortal realm so 197 yrs= 197 days in fairyland. If fairyland also has 30 days in a month, and 12 months in a year, so in fairyland, 197days/30 days = 6.5 months. But GG doesn't look like a 6 month infant. :sweat_smile:

     

    On the other hand, if GG's age is based on the fairyland year, so 197 yrs, 1 yr fairyland = 365 yrs in mortal realm, therefore 197 yrs fairyland times 365 = 71,905 yrs in mortal realm? Did FJ and GG stayed that long in mortal realm?? :joy:

     

    BTW, does my computation make sense or everything I've said doesn't make any sense?:joy:

     

     

    Yeah I was wondering that also all this time too but my old brain just broke in trying to understand this kind of simple maths. Please someone with higher intellectual lay your light on this issue.:lol:

    1. The consummation scene.. you cant never satisfy everyone. The decision of choosing this route for directors and team, I believe, have been discussed and talked before, and then decided this was the best approach in reliving that scenes, the most fitting ways to suit genre, PG rating (I think PB is PG-13? CMIIW), and the balance of whole show. Yes they can take it in other directions, to please more mature viewers for example, but they didn't after much consideration. Maybe it's also because viewers are already spoilt so much, viewers want more? Like a child that has been given candies a lot, and when she/he is given another candy she/he no longer satisfied with just a candy, she/he wants the whole candy store..

     

    2. Rushed ending concern.. again, if we look closely in the book, aranya arc takes the most of 2nd volume.. aranya arc is about 16 and half chapter, and the following events (like bin chang, wedding, jiheng, separation and final battle) are only covered 5 and half chapter, and a little bit of epilogue, we can say aranya arc tales 2/3 of 2nd volume. (Maybe they feels longer because the parts after aranya have lots of favourite events, so readers feels more attached to this). If they follow this direction, packing up all the following events into 6 to 7 episode is actually still reasonable. But yeah, for this I will hold my judgement until I watch the whole drama whether the final feel rushed or not.

    Fully agree with you. It's not because of the actors personal life being in a relationship or not it's the directive to suit the censorship and to my knowledge Reba had a few good kissing scenes with Bin Bin and Denglun before so she can really do a good smooch if the director insisted. As for Vengo they did it already in V love so it not them to be blamed on. As for the rush ending I too will wait and see what entails to give any thoughts forward. But now let's enjoy the ride even if it's a bit bumpy and see thru the end. :rolleyes:

    Btw, you.are not seeing things..I replayed.the scene and well, it is not a full back nude but he is so darn white that you can't make out the parts of his lower body properly. Hahahaha....

    Omggg I'm not alone. DH been napping and fishing for so long his skin is as white as snow. Even FJ got a bit tan. :lol:

    From the Director’s perspective, he said the book/story made him think a lot. From the time FJ was a baby fox till she went through all the tribulations/ hardships of loving DH. As for DH, it may not be that DH has developed/grown but how he has walked through each step from a deity/god to experiencing ‘humanity’ because of FJ.

     

    The Director adds that DH in the mortal arc is an emperor and even though he feels great pain/internal conflict because of his love for FJ, he has to supress it for the greater good of the kingdom.

     

    FJ returns from the mortal arc with injuries and she has decided to give up/ let it go…but then DH appears before her, behaves differently towards her and causes her to be confused. And then FJ enters Aranya’s realm

     

    Reba: FJ is someone who has received much love, so she knows how to demonstrate/give love to others. Aranya however is different as she has never received love. So, she behaves in a polite, respectful and courteous manner towards others, except for ChenYe.

     

    Vengo: ChenYe is someone who is persistent, obsessed, carrying a burden on his shoulders, to revive Aranya (?)

     

    Director: DH as Xize will feel jealousy and do things that he would normally not do

     

    Reba: Although she really loves this person, she won’t totally rely on this person, she will solve her own problems and figure it out on her own

     

    Vengo: DH is an arrogant person. For thousands of years, he has never met someone ‘right’ for him. When he does meet that person and realises how much that person has done for him, he become totally devoted to her. To people he appears as having achieved a state of calmness and composure but actually inside, he is someone who is very warm/loving.

     

    Director: Compliments Reba for being very committed and practices her lines very often. He says Vengo is also very dedicated and learns through time (and mistakes) how to play the mature role of DH, planning how to portray the emotions  to accurately depict DH

     

    Director: We should also ponder/reflect about our emotions – what have I done, what have I obtained, what have I learned. After a long time, looking back at how you have coped with certain situations, and recollect on the words you have used (?), those are the times you will value/hold dear.  [this part needs more work as I couldn't quite get the context, someone help tidy the translation please]

    Many thanks for your effort to translated the convo. No complaints here. It so good to know the indepth of the director minds and knowing that our best couple are working hard to achieve the best of DH and FJ on screen.

    Totally agree XY deserves someone better other then that beach JH she so delusional and mean. So she accepting XY as the rebound person is it. Tsk tsk tsk maybe the director and her make an agreement to change her storyline to have a happy ending which she doesn't deserve but I'm over her. Good luck to you XY for gaining yourself a witch all I care is my ultimate OTP as long as they the together with their son I'm so satisfied already.

     Guys, I came across this while I was randomly viewing videos on my homepage. I think that's the scene we are going to see during DH & FJ 's wedding. 

    Is it true at the end XY end up with JH. Can't understand all. Ohh my don't like that one bit they should have taken the book plot just leaving their character hanging .XY deserves better not someone so malicious,mean, obsessive and delusional how she will control him later on. Maybe it's one of the changes that they agreed when she playing JH is to get a happy ending for her also to redeem her character.

    Ok now Vengo... in the Aranya’s dream, he used Xi Zi’s body but kept DJ’s face? Aranya was engaged to XiZe? But Aranya (FJ) didn’t recognise or couldn’t remember DJ? 
     

    Chen Ye who was the little boy who saved and took care of Aranya? Played by Vengo too? 
     

    omg... then FJ remember DJ and found out that DJ was using XZ’s name in the dream? Correct? 

    so when DJ entered Aranya’s dream

    together with FJ, DJ didn’t know whose body FJ will be using hence he was looking for her calling out 小白 （xiao bai) ？ So in the dream Aranya’s face was the same as FJ?

Remember to make any relationship works they both need to have a good and lay in on the table communication or talk. Trust and assurance goes next. He never explained to her all her doubts about the real relationship between him and JiHeng. Why the reason he have to marry her in the first place, the promise her father make him do and about her staying in Fanyin valley and most important of all is what value of her to him. He just told her I'm not into her cus our age differences and say he like FJ and expected her to take it all in and believe whole heartily without doubts. He knows she is  naive and stubborn but didn't really put all her doubt to rest with him still goes out to JH whenever she call. He got the opportunity when at last FJ saw him after 200 years but still he kept quite .FJ only know the reasons after his on his suicidal act and even then he ask Zong ling not to tell her in order to protect her and not blaming herself in the future. They both have lots of miscommunication but that what the author wants to give us for dramatic purpose I guess.

    Having the Demon King be a reason that causes all the major life death problem works because 

    a) That character is given ample screen time, so naturally they wont keep showing her tied up all the time. 

    b) this causes some narrative because her threat is real

    c) SPOILERS: dont read if you dont want to.. I got this from seeing the Raw eps.

     

     

     

     

     

     

    FeingJu is connected to the demon king... So The TV series is taking a lot of liberty with the source material which is good because for non-reader it keeps this linear and adds more tension to the narrative. 

    I personally like it too, because as much as I enjoyed some parts of the book this version is better. It makes DJ and FJ's relationship more impactful. 

     

     

    Yeah I saw the raw too and they give this kind of good Twist to the story to make FJ more connected to the demon King and at the same time as we all saw the opening song that she will use her blood to smear on DH sword will be the ultimate ending/death to demon King. I guessing they making her character more depth and purpose not just being DH lover/wife but also the perfect partner even tho with her lack of cultivation but with this she got the edge in helping DH in vanquishing demon King once and for all.
