People are looking way too deep into things. Haha is very adept and social media and knows very well jobgkooks other ship is very very popular and draws a lot of the foreign fanbases eyes to clips of the show. That's the only reason the show paired them together. It's not like she has that much chemistry with him afterall. He pushes that ship for the same reason everyone does cause it gets views cause that fanbases loves it that's it. 

 

I don't get why people are trying to insinuate secret affections and betrayals and stuff like it's something that deep. The two have stated they aren't dating and that's its all for the fans of the ship.

To people confused why they're trying to make somin go from love frog to getting rejected recently it's for comedy.

 

Absurdity brings laughs. Up until now Sechan has had the image of an ugly/homely guy and Seho isn't known for being the hottest guy either. That's the comedy. That these guys who look the way they do are rejecting Somin and Jihyo who are famous actresses when if you asked most people who would be interested in the other you would assume the guys are hung up on the girls.

I wouldn't look too deep into the fortune telling stuff anyways. Very easy to just say anything if you watch the show. Most fans could have said the same stuff since we watch them enough. I could have told Somin to focus on work when she's obviously been getting more work. I'd say Ji Sukjin has great luck coming if I wanted to lean in on his recent resurgence while warning him about possible dangers cause trolling him is part of the show. Cast mates have a responsibility to sorta agree with the guy anyways.

For anyone still worried about the other ship being highlighted in the spinoff, just know in episode 1 the conversation about the other ship was not in regards to things like chemistry or actual dating, simply "lots of fans love seeing this and if you imitate a romance for us we would get millions of views instantly" 

 

I understand not enjoying it for us here, but I don't think there's ever the slightest reason to be legitimately nervous when they've even said they're in a FAKE loveline.

In regard to the recent Jong Kook x Jessi loveline I'll say this as a KJK fan who ships him with anything that moves but JSM moe.

 

Im just gonna be very blunt when I say this but there's very little chance of them actually dating. If you've seen the actual scenes people use to justify the ships I'm going to sound very crass but Jessi says straight up she wont ever be dating him and it sounds more like she'd be DTF (if you know what that means) she just says it to fit korean broadcasting terms. Since it seems to be more just them saying their physical characteristics of each other are nice, with a clear line on romance/marriage.

 

So considering the loveline boils down to just some physical attraction/acknowledgement the other is swanky i truly doubt its cause for fear or whatever.

Was it weird my favorite Kookmin moment recently is from this episode with KJK and Dongjun complimenting each other about muscles and somin just comes in like girls wont like it if you get too muscular to roast him?

I mean can we blame Dongjun for feeling enthralled by her the way every male cast member has? Shes a very genuinely cute and kind girl why else does she get along with essentially every person shes workes on a project with?

 

Him doing whatever initiating he does is irrelevant cause imo Kookmin are either a realistic possibility with KJK accordig to Haha merely having to make a choice, or actually happening right now since we know he's likely dating someone currently.

 

So Dongjun can be friends with her and whatnot even if Kookmin are real. And if it isnt Dongjun seems like a good dude so I'd be happy for them if he was actually interested.

 

I am pretty sure most of us here's favorite ship is Kookmin but still largely want both members to just find genuine happiness first and foremost even if it isnt together.

 

I was coming in as a KJK fan who fell for Somins charms much like he has and wanted lowkey any excuse to ship him with any woman breathing in his direction (its why i also like Kang Hanna with KJK) but kookmin is first and foremost.

 

But no one here from what I've seen would be furious if both were dating other people as long as they are happy.

Has anyone else missed the era of chulmin pd over the current one. Lately running man feels so eerily similar to how it felt pre-jsmysc. The over emphasis on storylines to drive the episode limiting the amount of natural charisma and wordplay there could be between the cast paired with the poor editing that makes you wonder if the storyline was worth sitting through. Even the greatest hits episodes have imo not been up to par and as far as a mystery goes for this episode it seems so poorly laid out for people to guess. The best mysteries are ones where you had all the info to know in front of you but couldnt see it to the very end, running man has been relying so much on mysteries but simply gets by on not showing the viewer enough of anything to guess until the big reveal at the end.

Is it really that weird that somin wasnt mentioned in the who he would date question years ago before he was close with her? I mean they basically avoided each other as they were awkward as hell. Thats honestly less than a stranger since they actually knew each other. It makes sense to mention hjy and sjh as well as guests that are fresh cause those first two were his main lovelines he was attached to and the next two were new guests. He was just completely detached from somin at the time and its clear his friends thought that too.

Ive been a KJK fan since the early 2000s I can guarantee to you guys that he doesnt do this with any other girls on broadcast.

 

He was very reserved during Xman and Family Outing. Limiting his interactions physically to lifting them up on his back or the like, something hes done with many idols in Running Man (he also puts womens legs on his arms and closes his hands into fist so they never feel weird about a man touching their thighs) and grabs people by the wrist not the hands so they dont feel like hes trying to hold their hands either. 

 

Basically he always makes a clear line between him and female celebrities he interacts with so he doesnt make them ever even have a chance of feeling scared of him. Cause think about it, he is a super senior in the celeb industry, has years of experience and peoples love, and is physically one of the most imposing celebs in the industry. So I think he takes extra precautions if anything to not do skinship like things.

 

So its very significant how close he is with somin

I just rewatched the episode where the members and guests had to choose to steal or not to steal items from each other's vans and KJK telling Somin to go to his van and when LKS beats her to it he comes out with a woman's eyeliner. Might be one of the biggest hints to an actual relationship between them we have ever had (?)

Honestly though I hope this shitstorm of Jihyo fans getting exposed and dragging her into the conversation frigging wakes these psychopaths up. 

 

I personally disagree with the idea of only Somin fans having to play nice and be fair. We dont have to stoop to their level but I like these exposing videos and articles because i think somin fans have been too nice and passive about this.

 

When you tell both sides of a bullying scenario to get along and be friends, to not fight youre friends you're taking the side of the bully and I feel like the passiveness and desire to be the bigger person has only allowed the particular haters from sjhs fandom to grow more bold. 

 

Thats my personal opinion. I've never gone to song jihyo to hate on her and never will because i have a life but these articles and videos are such a sigh of relief for me.

For anyone that is curious here the other points the YouTuber talks about in his video 

 

- he clicked on the Sominout tag to find out what kind of people would do something like this and found them to be on SJH related posts and says that South Asian fans view Somin as a competitor and because of that they are doing antis acts. 
 

-he also says she's getting so much hate to the point where also her younger brother is getting is being affected. He says If her brother is getting these kind of messages how much must Somin be getting. 
 

- when Somin won top excellence in the Sbs Entertainment awards her video got so many dislikes to the point where the video got removed. 
 

- 7012 fans are saying thinking that Somin is trying to take SJH's place, he goes on to saying if Somin leaves it's not like Jihyo's screentime will improve or that she will become funnier why would they think that. 
 

-it's not like Somin came and created harm, they all became better together. He says that Jihyo fans don't know that and are doing this whole sominout thing. 
 

- he said he thought about and the reason why Somin is getting hate is because she's doing well, getting more screentime than SJH and because she fun and makes people laugh as a result she's getting hate. 

- he rates how much contribution he thinks the members make to the show on a scale

- he then says that nowadays she has  the cavewomen Jihyo, forward Jihyo character and  has gone up to a 1 on the scale and it's because people around are pushing her. 
 

- he says in his opinion, apart from Kwangsoo, SJh doesn't look that close with the members and that she doesn't really mix in with the members. He says you can see that Jongkook makes Somin more comfortable or that he's more comfortable around Somin. 
 

- he said this is the thing he doesn't like people doing. He says anyone can see that SJH is pushed, forced to have these new characters but people that say "as expected of the Ace" he said he does not like this. 
 

- Sechan is also there why are they only doing this to Somin. 

Yeah the biggest thing for me is how he mentions that even when in his opinion as a casual fan who only sees the show through its pretty popular highlight clips he can feel sjh is pushed heavily by the members to get any screentime as she got very little for quite a while it feels manufactured. So it is completelty counterintuitive of her fans to hate on Jeon Somin so much using Jihyo as a basis cause all it does is drag Jihyo into the conversation as the more obvious member that should be kicked (reference to him talking about contribution to screentime) since Jeon Somin is one of the hard carries of the show.

Im saying this as a JK fan but he has never been obvious with his lovrlines whether he dates them or not in over ten years of lovelines he does them byt its been ambiguous if it was real or not. Dont watch Running Man for proof of this ships existence. You wont find it. Enjoy it for the cast and the relationship between the two members interactions we enjoy. You'll be less dissapointed that way.

Basically their fortunes are created pretty accurately to how the process is meant to be done (dont believe any of that stuff) but the interpretation of it is wildly exaggerated for comedic effect and to fit narratives
