    2. What is the most romantic/beautiful scene of our leads?

    3. What is the saddest scene of our leads that broke your heart so badly?
    4. What is the hottest scene from our leads ( if there’s any :joy:)?
5.What is your favorite line from our leads?

    6. What is your favorite song?

    7. What is the most hilarious scene from supporting casts?

    8. What is the most touching scene from supporting casts?

    9.  What detail gives you the most satisfaction?

HB initiated the hug and it was SYJ  who made it awkward. C'mon we all saw your BTS !:D

If they are together Seems like SYJ does not want to go public whereas HB does not have any problem with that. It seems like he want all the world to know.:D

In the past he publicized his partners whereas we never found any info about SYJ’s love interest so that’s my thought too.

Seris Choice PP -  A fitting tribute to the Ahjumma Squad, but COME ON, how could she NOT put PCS on a bottle of Shampoo? Just imagine the fun if that market vendor had pulled out a shampoo bottle with his face on it!:joy:

exactly my thought! She could put Pyo Chi Su face on it and the moment the guy pick up the bottle he will cry his eyes out while saying "That crazy woman..." or better, make a product line for male shampoo and with the name Pyo Chi Su :joy:

  4. Annyeong comrades! so it's finally happened, the beautiful sorta open ending in Switzerland! My heart is full of joy seeing them next to each other on a hill overlooking the beautiful scenery of Switzerland.

    Some of my two cents:

They are such pros B) but like one of the ajummas said at the party, they didn't have to act that much lol

Their last kiss in the show was in fact their first kiss

    >>>Their last kiss is there first kiss! How awesome is that! It means HB and SYJ can kiss as passionate as any other couple, it's just whether in the script they are instructed to kiss at a level 13+ or 16+ or 18+ lol.

A happy open ending i guess? I still loved it especially that last scene... sooo beautiful. It makes me want to visit Switzerland!

This is the best ending for this drama because having a unification is like a no-no for now. And RJH defecting to SK would endanger his family in NK... love will find a way, and even if they can't be together everyday, i'm sure that those 2 weeks they get to spend every year will always be well spent...

Although it breaks my heart to see our second leads not having their own happy ending, it also made me realize that sometimes, love can come and go to you unexpectedly. And even if SD decided to remain single, it's not like she can't be happy without a man. She can be successful and fulfilled even if her right one already passed away. She'll become the epitome of beauty and success

    • After seeing the ending, I realize, there could be a few other possibilities for them. With the money and power both sides have, they could open a music college for all people and with scholarships especially for the talented NK. Ri Jeong Hyeok could become the president or part of the board of education of the school there and he can be there more full time than just 2 weeks. I personally believe what Seri set up right now is just the beginning as it was hard to get the idea delivered to the North Korean side from the beginning, but now that they're together they could fully expand their project to create more opportunities to be there. (Realistically, this only happens to filthy rich people such as RJH and SR. The story couldn't be feasible at all if either of them are normal 8 to 5 citizens. Like people say "What cant be bought by money can be bought by a ton of money. lol.)

    • And once his parents pass away, he can fully defect NK and obtain a Swiss or South Korea residency if he wishes to. It's gonna be a tough relationship for them but at least they can see each other now and that's all that matters.

    • Now about the last episode, my only sadness was GSJ's death. I wished he could stay and the four of them could somehow meet again in Switzerland. I am glad there is closure between RJH and SD, as well as between the parents. Although it was trivial I thought it was the right thing to do. My other question is how RJH's dad could simply kill the other big guy like that. Won't that create a lot of trouble politically if you don't have solid evidences of bad thiings the bad guy did, because RJH's dad and the bad guy are deemed to be of equal ranks? Also, the dad seems liked he didn't involve in his first son's death like CCG claimed? And so what did RJH overlook as CCG warned when he first escaped? Or overall CCG is just an overdramatic guy that like to scare our RJH a little? :joy:
    • It's just some minor questions...because our writernim has done an excellent jobs tying loose ends, I hoped she could give me the answers to those concerns but I guess I'm asking for too much. Just like how Seri didn't take over Queens, there are things that can be left the way it is/in neutral zone and it would be the best solution for all parties involved. I am very very contented with the final. I want both Seri and RJH to be happy and they have got that so my life is complete up to this point.
    • Edelweiss flower! I cried seeing that literally. If you all watch "The sound of music" you will know it symbolizes purity but also patriotism. This flower personally means a lot to me because my dad and I both love the Sound of Music and my birthdays in the past, he used to send me the song "Edelweiss". I was so emotional when he gave her an edelweiss plant.
    • Ahhh...we just got the longer version of the intro song. I so love it! Does anyone know if  it is also in the list of songs played by CLOY? It's my favorite song in the album. Next to it is the RJH's piano piece Song for My Brother and the dramatic piano piece for every time their love is challenged. I'm sure they will be on repeat for this week for me.

That's it for now. Will have to rewatch and let the feelings sink in a little bit more before I can express more. Thanks for reading! Please share with me your thoughts too!

But it’s ok all of you can decide they got married, lots of bed scenes we don’t know about and she getting pregnant during that 2 weeks whatever. Afterall we are the ones watching isn’t it

It's sort of an open happy ending. My take would be they live like that until both his parents pass away then he can officially move to Switzerland and obtain a citizenship.

    Episode 15 discussion ahead.

    ****

I need to ask this first and foremost because I think it has been overlooked: can someone analyze with me why RJH for a brief moment decided to commit suicide after CG dies?  We know how much he values cherishing one's life, and how he tells SR all the time to never, ever think about disappearing from this world again.  What thoughts could have been going through his mind in THAT moment for him to want to end his life?  I thought maybe it is what CG said to him about how his parents would die upon his return - but is that enough to trigger him like that?  He's clever and would resort to finding a solution, no?  I'm really bothered that this was written into the script

I am also slightly taken aback when I saw he put the gun to his head, but I think it’s still not out of character of him to behave like that in that moment. As we can see later in RJH’s monologue that he wished they could have not met instead, he was really hitting rock bottom in that situation. His lover just returned to life, he is in an unfamiliar place dealing with suspense every day, he has concern for his parents at home and for sure, I bet sometimes he still wonder how this whole situation is gonna end up? How to have a future with Yoon Seri. Now CCG just put a cherry on top of the pie about his father could be the ultimate reason his brother died, that is a shocking relevation. Maybe once you’re too tired of life it will be easier to end all and not having to figure out how to live anymore.

I also think it is easier to wish and persuade someone else to live a good life (aka he told Seri things to keep her spirit up) than to lead a good life. It is understandable he  has dark moments after trying to fight for the right things for so long.

Also, I was surprised but not too much when CCG said the father may have involved in the brother’s death. Having experiences with a communist country I don’t believe anyone can clim to that high political rank without doing some shady business.

  7. Hello comrades,

After wiping my eyes and blowing my nose so early in the morning, I managed to sit down and contemplate what I just went through:

-ANOTHER DAEBAK EPISODE. It has kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time. All characters play a role in the big picture and there is absolutely no filler whatsoever. I have started watching Itaewon class because Park Seo Joon is my favorite actor after HB, but the slow pace of the drama just frustrates me to no end. I gues CLOY has set the new standard for K dramas for me, a high quality drama with full of suspense, comedy and romance. I will be very hard to find another drama similar to this for a long time in the future.

-The storyline: I'm so glad our second leads, although maybe only take 10 minutes total of airing time, have managed to win viewer's hearts and convince everyone of their love. No matter if GSJ live or die after today's episode, he has done his name a justice by giving the beggar kid a lot of money and last but not least, use the hunting gun to kill those who captured Seo Dan. The scene which the beggars sing a hymn while SJ hide inside their nests gave me chills. It was me or Seo Jun to realize that he has nothing more than an orphan beggar and how pathetic his life is. I'm glad he gave SD the ring, she is the light and the purpose of his life now, something to look forward to. I think it is very meaningful to someone who feels lost in life to realize what they're living for. The scene where he uses his rifle to kill the bad guys is so awesome, SJ has officially become a badass guy and I love it so much. I'm sure SD has realized she loved SJ too. Tbh when she cried as she heared RJH has crossed the border for Seri, I felt bad for her. I'm glad that she can let go of her infatuation and through the hard time find her true love. Whether SJ dies or not, I think the storyarc of our second leads has completed and our writernim has successfully tied this loose end. Kudos to her for ending it so satisfactorily.

-The ahjummas: I'm so glad the ahjummas have stood up for each other. Once again it shows that these normal villagers have a larger capacity of love than those in South Korea. A lesson that I've learnt from CLOY, probably from our writernim's message is that: In the so-called bad country there are still good people, and in the so-called well developed country there still exists devilish people. The good and the bad always intertwin. And what goes around comes around. If you spread love, you receive love in another form. It sounds like cliche philosophy but I think it was nicely inserted in the story.

-Regarding our OTP: I would like to quote this:

    14 hours ago, Favnia said:

For Se Ri their love is basically the most important thing in the world, like oxygen, for her, who finally got to see how a person can care about her, and be happy just because she exists...She never saw this love, even from her own mother, so for her it's a treasure. For Jeong Hyeok though... It's the opposite. He already experienced it with his brother, and that love almost destroyed him, and of course there's survivor's guilt as well. And all of the sudden with Se Ri he is in similar situation - since he fell for her she is in constant danger...He believes it's his love that destroys everything he touches. And the fact that she wouldn't change a thing if she could go back in time, but he would change everything..It's heartbreaking.. And neither of them can.

I was so heart broken when RJH said if he could change the fate of meeting each other, he would. Albeit, I understand his reason for thinking so. Their love, realistically, is forbidden by the politics and by loving each other, they are risking their families, their acquaintances. It may not show so much from Seri's side but on RJH's side, not only his parents but his soldiers have been through the hard times because of his love for Seri. As we started watching the series, we all know it will come down to this. Realistically, he will have to sacrifice one or the other. The heart breaking moment finally happens and it is devastating. Logically, Seri would choose to meet again because she only has RJH as the source of happiness for her life. Even if she has to die, it is for her love and she would not regret that. RJH on the other hand, this is a stake larger than his life. Besides Seri, he still has his parents. He has more to loose than her. To sacrifice oneself would be easier than to witness the loved ones being punished for what one's done in my opinion. From the beginning this question has been bugging my mind: what will RJH choose?

That plus the piano piece was played again during those critical moments. I can't help but feel so so sad for our RJH.

I was among those who vote for a neutral ending in Switzerland. I want him to make sure his parents are ok before he can move on with his love. I don't want him to choose. Either choose love or choose family/country, he will have to live with resentment for the rest of his life. He deserves happiness.

I sincerely hope for a rating of 20% today.

I thank our writer-nim for writing such 15 compelling episodes and I have trust in her to bring us the most realistic ending.

  8. For most dramas I skip the opening song...but this drama I always enjoy this clip. It brings such a strange emotional feeling.

Their lives parallel each other. So similar but so vastly different because of where they come from, be it South Korea or North Korea. Before crashing landed onto each other, they lived a routine and probably emotional-less life. But fate brought them together, and it has changes their lives forever, from that moment.

I have a feeling they will end up in Switzerland because of the last scene-and Seri smiled at RJH if you really notice in the drama.

Im a bit disappointed with Captain Ri. Dont get me wrong, i like his character, courage and wit. but why on earth he kept on placing himself in a vulnerable position. Twice he had placed himself in an open space which made him an easy target as he was looking for Cheol Gang. I think it is logical to shield yourself, be stealth and cautious. But he didnt and twice Seri had to do something to save him. Just saying. Love the drama still though. Im just a little disappointed. But of course that was in the script.

the whole time i was just thinking why couldn't seri buy him a bullet proof vest? i mean she could even hold a concert for him...

but yeah just a very very tiny bug thought....

When I look at HB and SYJ’s previous roles, they seem to be acting opposite of their real personality - HB is introvert and shy but mostly take roles of arrogant, loud and spoiled male leads, whereas SYJ is extrovert and bubbly but her roles are mainly very melo, intense or sometimes sweet/ shy (I know she has varied roles but I’ve seen her mostly in that). I think both of them struck GOLD with CLOY as RH and SR, acting close to their real personality. And we audience are the lucky ones!

I totally agree! The stereortypes were like that for several years -men: rich, arrogant,  obnoxious. women- struggling, soft, shy etc. so no surprise that both HB and SYJ picked up those roles once in a while. Only until recently, Her Private Life and CLOY have satisfied me a lot with the modern portrayal of characters, of young adults with responsibility, understanding and manners. I love the direction that the k drama writers are going.

And yes, from the Swoon clips we can see HB and SYJ are quite opposite of their previous roles, and quite similar to their current roles. My favorite clip has got to be the guessing the complements, where HB was totally deceived by a wicked SYJ. Towards the end the way she call him Oppa, not only did he blush but also I did! She was such a teaser and he failed for her tricks miserably. I believe the chemistry in CLOY is great also because this is minimal acting for them-this is them behave in another story and thats it!

I watch both drama but I actually find Jekyll and Hyde better than KMHM. 1. The perspective of how the character suffers from the illness and how he is overcoming it. 2. The romance side.

CLOY is my another Hyun Bin’s fave drama. Just like Jekyll and Hyde, I could rewatched it again and again, anytime.

another blue moon in one page---such a nice day for me. Im usually very happy when someone enjoys HJM like me.

    Quote

What I meant by frustrating is because Hyun Bin as Gu seo jin seems to have less screentime than as Robin. I really like his appearance as sangmunim. It’s actually about the hairstyle. I watched again to see why I didn’t like Robin’s hairstyle while it seems like the bowl hairstyle of Captain Ri.

@mundalivI agree with you, once again! I wish to have seen more of Gu Seo Jin. I didn't perceive him as a cold hearted guy, he has an internal battle to go through. The only thing that was lacking in that drama to me was the development of the female character. Just like MOA they have become shadows for HB's character and I wish they could shine more. Yeah I didn't like Robin's bow hair cut back then either, but the happy smiles that he gave made up for it so I forgive Robin <_< Then i see captain Ri and I internally groan "No not that hairstyle again" but the rest of his image is so...perfect so I surrender hehe. If you also notice, captain Ri's checked shirt look very similar to Gu sangmunim's checked shirt.
HJM was actually the drama that brought me to Soompi forum. I was one of the hardcore fans even though I watched the drama 2 years after it was aired. The way it failed to receive positive ratings showed me a lot about what the general population perceived as "good" "solid" and "successful."

I need HB to still pick up dramas and give me more of his works to see. I guess after this drama I'm slowly having to turn into ahjussi-dramas now because he will be soon appropriate to be called an "ahjussi", but who cares I'm gonna support him till the day he retires.

I wonder if we had discussed this before with the relationship between Se-Ri and Jeong Hyuk. Since they fell in love and until now, isn't Jeong Hyuk and Seo Dan technically still engaged? He tried to break it off with her but she didn't want to. Although she did kiss Seung Jung recently, Jeong Hyuk and Se-Ri has engaged in their relationship for much longer. I feel like they should have resolved the issue of Jeong Hyuk's engagement first since he's still technically someone else's fiance.

I agree. Personally I think if he wants to call off the engagement he would officially speak in front of SD's mother and his parents, given his personality. Or maybe SD realizes she loves SJ then she should tell him and his parents too so that they can break up politely and nicely. After all, being engaged means they are a couple.

However, I dont know if the writer has enough time left to tie that loose end.

I am also curious how they ended up engaged first hand because if no one (aka his parents) made him do it, why would he engage to SD if he barely remembered her name in Switzerland?

But again I dont know if our writernim has time to explain that either. As long as she focus on creating happy ending for our OTP, I'm happy

o you mean if they hold hands openly, we’re ok with that. If they hold hands under the table and we catch that, it’s not ok?

If she grabs his head and it is shown openly on youtube, it’s ok. But if she grabs his head under the table and we catch that, it’s not ok?

I mean after the last bts, I cannot see if it makes such a big deal that they get caught holding hands under the table. If they are afraid, they would not be that intimate in the last BTS.

btw, I tried to scrutinise the video too and I don’t think they were holding hands under the table

@Kurniva86 I agree with you. This is not about whether there was hand holding or not, this is about the logic.

I am genuinely curious and find it hard to understand why people try to shut down the discussion of the picture. Someone please kindly explain to me without judgement and giving me harsh words.

So, if the paparazzi caught the grocery scene and spreaded it, it was ok and everyone believed it and congratulated them. But, if a fan caught the suspicious holding hands and people discussed about it, then it is sort of against the rule?

If you say because it’s very unclear whose hands it is so we should not spread the rumor, then how can we and the paparazzi know for sure the people who went grocery shopping were HB ans SYJ? Who could guarantee that? What if the grocery pics were photoshopped?

If you say the hand holding during the filming is very unprofessional, then what do you think about he leaning on her for two seconds or she holding his head during the hospital bed scene BTS? Wouldnt those be unprofessional too? What makes one action professional and the other not?

Personally I think it is hard to work for 10-12 hours straight without having fun times so if K-netizens are angry about that 1s hand holding (if it was real), they are really some extremist people.

In addition, if analysing this hand under the table clip considered “fantasizing” , then all the discussions about the grocery shopping pic,  i think it’s also considered “fantasizing”. Because, first of all, they both deny the dating. And second of all, that pic cannot be considered an “evidence of dating” because it could have been photoshopped. And third of all, its true that friends can go grocery shopping together when they are alone in a foreign country.

I agree that any rumor right now for BJ is unwanted for them. Im sure they only want us to focus on their works. Im positive most of the fans are happy for them too if they are together in real life, but there will always be negative fans. Fans who over-react. That’s why I appreciate any actor-actress discussion is confined within this forum.  But even here...it’s intimidating. Reminds me of Yoon Seri’s line “one time fan is more scary than anti fans.”  So yeah, I guess I go back to watching all the clips, the BTS without trying to think or deduce or judge.. Because after this incident it shows love and protection are expressed very differently by different people.

I second this. I'm so glad they brought MB to the SK mission trip, he has proved to be very helpful there. This is one of the few dramas that I am even invested in the secondary cast and they happen to steal my tears also! tears of joy (when JM meets his idol, when the duckling reunites, when they all cheer for the football match) and tears of pain (when the ahjummas could not eat, when Pyo Chi Su cried, when the youngest duckling misses his family).

the think about actors and actresses is if they are really famous they will be very reluctant to get married because it stirs a lot of negative fan reactions. it's also hard to find good projects because many audience wouldn't view them the same way. DOTs main leads have shown us that. I hope HB and SYJ continue to date in secret (if they are indeed together) and sometimes the paparazzi will catch a sight of their happy domestic lives. I'm happy enough.
