  1. I only had time to watch the 1st episode (b/c, kids, lol). But it is SO good. Even though I only saw LMH for like 2 minutes at the very end, I was completely immersed from the get go. My husband thought I was forcing him to watch some sappy kdrama but now he can't wait to keep watching too! So beautifully done.

  2. I enjoyed this show, flaws and all! I try not to think too deeply and get mad/disappointed, though I would have liked more flash back explaining what SU and ET and Hwal were all doing to each other after the initial events since I am still confused who kept finding who and killing who!

I obv would love more romance but it was good since my husband and I could watch it together. His take-away was: Do not leave your man behind without talking about it. All of this pretty much started with a couple "fighting"....

It's bittersweet for us views that they don't remember anything except for an unexplained connection. But for them it's def better. I really agreed with Hwal at the end that the curses just can't go on forever and it has to end!

  3. I am dying to find out! I agree they're really dragging us along but oh well, at this point with a few episodes left, I'm all in haha. I'm glad their romance is more slow burn, it can't make sense any other way as he was hunting her down to kill her (and almost did) and she only had survival on her mind. Also this show has a good balance of everything for my husband and I to watch together! If it's too much romance he won't watch it. And the gore/violence/suspense/folklore stuff is balanced with the more light hearted, funny scenes. Honestly even through the violent scenes, as long as ET is in it, it can't be that serious. He has been so fun to watch and funny that he had said very early on to H that he got really good at pretending to be human, but I feel like with all his emotions and dramatics lately, he is the most human out of them lol.

TKEM did extremely well on Netflix even though it received a lot of criticism and did not do so well ratings wise in SK.  Most of the criticism was on the PPL, (other dramas have a lot of PPL too), the props, Japanese influence on the logo, buildings, etc. The story was too complicated but LMH was lauded for his role as LG.

I do have to agree that the story got SO confusing. Oh PPL is everywhere, I understand they were a little over the top but I just accept it as part of what has to take place haha. If it weren't for LMH and the rest of the cast that I loved so much, I might have given up on TKEM at some point!

  5. I personally loved SJK and Space Sweepers so I wouldn't write off this unknown project yet, esp if it's with a "proven" director. I do hope this is through Netflix! SJK was so successful with Space Sweepers/Vincenzo, I am sure LMH will ride the Netflix wave well too. Also, TKEM probably wasn't a show for "everyone" but I can see a space-travel theme being more mainstream and getting more traction!

VINCENZO is in the subbed version, English. Though I don't speak Korean, and have watched the series so often I have lost count of the number of times I have done so, I have always watched in the original language version because I LOVE SJK's voice and inflections on the words It would be like trying to watch TOMBSTONE subbed in Chinese.... you could never replace Val Kilmer's portrayal of Doc Holiday's sarcastic Southern drawl with any other language but English, and no one else could ever do SJK's deep, gentle but deadly Vincenzo except SJK. Those eyes! That smile! That voice!

Oh sorry I meant to see if there was ENG captions for his vlog. I am 100000% against dubbed versions of anything; they are often so bad!

@shadowhawk ye, congratulations to SJK for a great comeback after a period of personal life struggle. I'm glad that he took this drama. I expected that this drama will win. It was so addictive & that makes it special. I waited eagerly for every EP. Miss this drama.

Me too. I'm really late to the SJK train, but after seeing Vincenzo pop up on my Netflix again and again I took a chance on it and was completely obessed! I'm the crazy person that has never even see DOTS (I think SJK looks his best in Vincenzo tho), so now I'm going backwards to watch DOTS and other stuff he was in. But I will watch random episodes of Vincenzo just to get my fill haha!

@willenette it was just a rumour quite a while ago for a short time only, after that it was said that Shin Hyun Been will be in Chaebol drama with Joong Ki. Yes, Joong Ki and Suzy met as MCs for 1 music event, I forgot what it was already. New drama is set to premier early next year 2022, let's look forward to it. I hope we can watch in Netflix as well :)

Congratulations to Joong Ki, Director and whole Vincenzo crew!!!

Joong Ki's vlog is here, I am off to watch :D

Anyone know if there is a subbed version yet?

@bearcreek thanks for sharing this. During the “Open Talk” for his movie Space Sweepers, Song Joong Ki brought up Netflix‘s Squid Game and how popular it really is. He shared that while traveling abroad to film Bogota, he rode a small plane that didn’t carry many people. He went to an island in Europe. While on the plane, Song Joong Ki shared that (3) foreigners with him were downloading Squid Game on their phone to watch during their plane ride. While residing on the small European island, he shared he witnessed many residents watching Squid Game there as well. It truly made him realize just how popular that show is. Song Joong Ki then expressed that the popularity of Korean content such as Squid Game or his film Space Sweepers has made him feel very proud.  :Twerkdatbutt:

@snowjewelz I think you will get your answers to all your questions if you watch from beginning na. But here's the answers:

    1. Saya first shows up in episode 6

    2. Tanya is the successor of the 'Great Spiritual Mother' of her tribe, it's like a wise woman/priestess and born under the prophecy of the blue comet.  Thus, she has some powers for spells and curse.

      Reveal hidden contents

Initially, Tanya didn't think she had any powers but she is trying to live up to her position and protect her people.  She began to realize that she did have some ability to put spells after giving E the name 'Dream' and hearing Kanmarou/horse's wish for a name etc. As the show progress, we know that she is now the direct decedent of Asa Sin or the Great White Wolf, a god, and thus, she had really strong psychic powers.

    3.

      Reveal hidden contents

The Wahan tribe and Tanya was captured by Tagon. Saya's is Tagon's adopted son. Previously, Tagon made a deal with Euensom to protect the Wahan tribe or E would reveal to all that Tagon is an Igutu. Thus, he wasn't planning to kill them. However, Asa Ron stole the tribe and hid them in the Fortress of Fire to richard simmons off Tagon. When the Wahan trying to escape from the Fortress of Fire, Tanya got separated and found Saya's tower and met him in episode 6. Taelha wanted to kill Tanya after discovering she found out about Saya but Tanya convinced her and Tagon that she has special powers and that she's here to protect Saya. Thus, they kept her as his maid etc. Their relationship isn't simple and it comes out in the latest two episodes.

Ahh thanks for taking the time! I still could be confused after starting from the beginning, so thank you for this!

  10. Joining the discussion here! My husband started watching this show so I jumped in mid-way and of course have been SO confused; but the interesting plot is keeping me going! I think I need to go back and start from the beginning if we're going to have a break before the 3rd "season".

If someone can answer these questions for me:

    1) What episode did Saya show up?

    2) Can someone explain the whole Tanya cursing people thing?

    3) How did Tanya end up as Saya's slave, but then she doesn't act very slave like and is even bossing Saya around now?

I'm sorry to have posted this here. In the earlier pages there were moments when pichi couple was compared to songsong couple.

Of course I support pichi couple, and I fervently hope that they would be in a relationship and would end up in a very good marriage which wouldn't end up like what's happening with songsong couple. I apologize again.

I don't think it's totally irrelevant; they are one of the biggest "sucessful" ships and many here made many comparisons between our pichi couple and songsong couple to find clues.

Now I rather never hearing from them but just hope that they're happy in private! And take the time to really make sure they're right for each other to take the next step.

    Me! *Shyly raises hand...

I found it really hard to reveal my gender because of the recent scandal in Korea causing a lot of paranoia about fanboys in general and sadly it’s happening in soompi and real life

My previous experience in soompi forum was pretty toxic when I revealed I was a guy earlier as they had the misconception that we guys treated women as objects and started directing a lot of hate. So I found it relatively hard to get involved in this forum without being a bit concerned.

Hopefully, my time here would be slightly more enjoyable, and if any of you cannot accept a guy due to any reason, please feel free to treat me as a girl, if it makes it better by any means.

Just adding this through, wasn’t there a BTS where LDW was dancing to YIN on one of Wanna One’s songs? (Pick Me if I’m not wrong)

i wonder if YIN watches produce 101 and perhaps that’s why LDW decided to take on the host of produce 101? Just a casual thought... :sweatingbullets:

Welcome! I think it's great! Sorry you were harassed so badly before!

Not sure if this already got posted here, my apologies if it has already been discussed but  this is so cute, a different take on that “heater thing”

I can watch this a million times. They are so cute and it's so obvious how naturally close they are!

I just feel like even if you are friendly co-stars, when doing an interview you prob wouldn't pay THAT much attention to the other person, more on what the MC is asking you, etc. Yet he pretty much knows what's going on with her the ENTIRE time and through the interview made sure to take care of her!

  14. Sigh. I am quiet because after a drama ends is the true test of a ship. I've never shipped any couple before, but I hope we will keep this tread alive with any news/updates there are of them!

Even if they're not dating IRL, their chemistry is undeniably out of this world! I usually only watch dramas if I like the leads so for me to be so invested, I just really love the two of them together!
