I'm not familiar with the airing schedule of Hidden Love.

The site I watch it on is stuck on 16.

I am eagerly awaiting the next epis.

I believe it’s 2 episodes every Monday, 1 episode Tuesday, 2 episodes Wednesday, then 1 episode Thursday. Nothing from Friday-Sunday

i wish we had more eps per week but at the same time I don’t want this drama to end

Agree with your comment about the LBFAD leads. I’d have to say Bai Lu and Leo’s acting were better in this drama compared to Esther and Dylan but for me the screen chemistry between Esther and Dylan were better.

Yea, Esther & Dylan’s on screen and off screen chemistry was better imo, but their acting was not on the same level as BL & LYX. I noticed that BL was more distant with LYX; they were not goofing around in the BTS nor were they as touchy as Dylan and Esther were. I became a fan of Esther after LBFAD, super excited to watch her new drama My Journey to You.

Nevertheless, I really hope to see LYX & BL in another drama again. They compliment each other so well

Both are the best together... somehow i get the feeling that LYX did like Bailu but Bailu only treats him like big bro... some  interviews i see, Xixi keep looking at Bailu but she will avoid eye contact at times, not sure what it means... esp when questions on relationships and what not are being asked... i dont care, they need 3rd and mamy more collobration together again!!!!

Bailu bring the best of Xixi and Xixi of Bailu...

Not looking fwd to Bailu's drama with her so called bf... he's too tall and doesnt fit her... hahahha

Going to stalk MDL comment site now...:D

I agree.. not like LBFAD where I got the feeling that they both liked each other. BL treats him like a big brother, but what matters the most is that together their chemistry and acting on screen is top notch. I wanna see Kunning Palace cause of her alleged bf, but only seen a couple of his dramas, hopefully there isn’t a gap between their acting.

    Let’s talk Ep 40.

I know some are mad it’s not a total perfect happy ending but I thought it was still a good one.

So I expected some major angst and hate in LSS. I was expecting her to ascend to goddess and then kill him to save the world…it seemed like this was the way the show was going towards….but surprisingly, this didn’t happen. For those who watched it…you know what happens…and I was crying with sadness and joy when LSS finally saw through TTJ plan and realized all his love for her. This episode was so, so, so gentle with TTJ and his death….and honestly that broke my heart even more.

In that celestial plane where LLS takes him, then transforms him from his devil god outfit to his white outfit..I was just sobbing! That is what the TRUE TTJ looks like, just so pure, majestic, and full of love.

but the whole theme of this drama is that the nice sceneries are fleeting. So while LSS and TTJ have a beautiful moment, it doesn’t last. This is probably the saddest happy ending ever. And it really just shows how far TTJ has come from being the bullied, loveless prince  who wanted to destroy the world to the one who ended up saving everyone because his love was too great.

I like to think that he left a part of himself inside the scale so he could always be with her and their daughter and that LSS knows this and feels his love and presence always.

I also think that there’s hope for him to come back and be with them. I mean, there’s that soul gathering spell in the book of demonology…maybe LSS will put that to use and bring him back eventually. After all, she has the scale, the dirt-less body, as well as being TTJ enemy and lover, so all she has everything on her to do it…but that’s just my imagination. Lol.

    Now for the bad:

This should’ve been a 1.5-2 hour episode. So much was left unfinished.

First, WTH is up with Jiwu?! Omg. So he never realized that it wasn’t TTJ who killed his sect leader/LSS dad? That TTJ planned to sacrifice himself to save the world? that TTJ actually saved Jiwu’s stupid butt from becoming a demon?! That’s soooooo damn annoying!!!! Like F you, Jiwu! You were wrong about so many things and we never got the satisfaction of seeing him realize all his stupid mistakes. Then for Mo Nv to come and swoop him away….that just irritates me so much!!!! Like she killed/got him killed in 2 out of the 3 lives!!!! They don’t deserve to be together after all they’ve done. It’s beyond unfair.

Also, I screamed with joy when YQY revealed himself and saved Jing. But like that was it???  Like can we at least get a voiceover or prompt that says something like “and he continued to rule Jing as a great and kind king for the rest of his days”….I mean…I was willing to accept anything. ANYTHING!

and the final thing was I thought the devil god could not be killed as long as there is sin in the world…just because the world is now united, that doesn’t mean sin magically vanishes…so will he return eventually? *sigh*

TTEOTM was really special. It’s been a while since I could really get into a cdrama. Probably in my top 3. Maybe if we would’ve gotten all the episodes, it would be my number 1.

I would say it’s the happiest SE ever. Thinking of it like a person at the end of their life, on life support. Just begging to die cause they’re in so much pain but the family loves them too much to let go.. he was practically begging Susu to kill him, and even in the end, he had to do it himself. But he was free from the pain, so there is ^some^ kind of peace. To this date this is the only cdrama I’ve ever watched where a main character dies and I plan to keep it that way.

In the end GYJW and MV did not matter at all, just simple plot devices that took up screen time. Like the 2nd ML in love is sweet (just finished watching that too).

I think the end with the heart scale can be viewed a couple ways. Either a part of his consciousness is in there and lives forever (like Ming Ye) — a testament to their love, or a part of his soul is in there and he’ll be reborn again. I just don’t understand why they couldn’t go with the novel ending at least. It’s canon that they meet again

    I know right?

Although I haven't binge watched the entire show in about three weeks I still watch snippets of DFQC and XLH.

Yea, I finished the show then immediately went back and re-watched all my favorite scenes. I realized that after they both confess and their love is out in the open they don’t have many sweet scenes together. If they ever get paired again I’m 100% tuned in regardless of what the plot is about lol.

Hi there!  Glad to hear you gave ELOD another chance, and loved watching the rest of the episodes. We still watch again whenever we can. I just started again last weekend. ^_^

Have you also read the Pillow Book novel? If you did, you'll be happy to know that the author wrote a nine chapter novella for the Dong Feng family. :)

I gave up on reading the novel hehe. I did however start reading the nine chapter novella, I just wish there were more episodes of ELOD and that it didn't have to end. The withdrawals are too real :tears:

  6. I just finished watching ep 13 and OMG.... This episode gave me real chills!! The actress who played Mun Young's mother nailed her role! She really was laughing after she just murdered someone! And although we all had an idea about the head nurse, the ending scene when she was driving smiling couldn't have been creepier. I was like this at the ending.

    :wut:

And Mun Young's reaction when she found out her mom probably killed the Moon brother's mom..

Aside from that, I went from crying from when the shaman lady confronted her dad, to straight up crying from laughter when Sang Tae was trying to draw Jae Su's face LOL. Also, when Mun Young mentioned that the life of a princess is hard and the ending is the only happy part, and Kang Tae said but that's all that matters, that the ending is happy, I hope that's a foreshadowing to the ending of this drama.

I feel like I need to read a recap on this episode alone, just to process everything that happened!

  7. WOW, the ending of ep 10!! How am I supposed to wait a week for the next episode?! :bawling: So many parallels. KT giving MY the flowers, and she finally gets to tell him that they're beautiful. We get MY following KT just like how he used to follow her, and omg the scene at the beach when KT tells MY to get lost and she clenches her heart sobbing. Looking at the next ep trailer, I hope the trio solves their Kang Tae ordeal soon, I want the three of them to be together when facing the mystery behind their mother's death and MY's mother. I personally am confused whether Park Ok Ran is MY's mother or if she just knows her mother really well. Either way I believe her mother is still alive after the hospital director said she'd come back for her daughter and husband.

Anyone else aboard the Joori-Sang In ship? I really disliked Joori's character at first and thought I would only hate her more as the show progressed but she's really warmed up to me now.

  8. I let out numerous sighs this episode.. Wow. Despite all the happy scenes and MY and KT getting closer, I could feel the incoming heartbreak. We all knew that KT would eventually be pushed to choose between MY and ST. I just want everyone to be happy. I wish Sang Tae didn't say that to Kang Tae, but at the same time I understand why. I fear that either KT will move and choose his brother over MY, or that MY will let KT go so he can be with his brother. I hope there is no break up, the two leads have just been through so much already.

    :crybaby:

Also, doesn't it feel like everyone is against KT and MY's healing?? MY gets a haircut, Sang Tae asks why and says she looks pretty before. KT finally letting out his emotions, Jae Su telling him he looks like a joker and the nurse telling him he was good at holding it in.

    (2) Details: can we talk about the smallest details here for a second, and how meticulously crafted they are? Example #1 - Jae Su in Ep 5 wearing a YOLO ("You Only Live Once") t-shirt. This "free spirit" way of thinking / living is a complete 180 to how Kang Tae currently lives his life everyday - perhaps foreshadowing how Moon Young will slowly help Kang Tae live in the moment, versus living solely to care for and serve his brother? Example #2 - Gustav Klimt's "The Kiss" painting in the lobby of the Bates Motel. Enough said here.

Fast forward to the end of IOTNBO: can totally see the ending wrapping up with

    - Sang Tae's illustrations helping Moon Young "revamp" her image / catapult her back to success; as a result, Sang Tae is able to stand on his own two feet (versus relying on Kang Tae), and heal in the process

    - Kang Tae as the Head of Ok Therapeutic Center

    - Could her next book be on butterflies (or at least have illustrations / themes involving butterflies)? Would be the ultimate way for Sang Tae to overcome many of his underlying fears too

Welcome! I love that you pointed out the details, I hope that the kiss painting is a foreshadow and we get our classic kdrama kiss on episode 8. That also seems like a reasonable realistic ending, as long as nobody in the main trio dies in the end, I'll be happy  I keep getting the feeling that the ending will be tragic or bittersweet but maybe I'm just being pessimistic.

  10. So far, all my speculations about this drama have somehow been correct. I had a feeling that Juri had to have been the one to start the fight or say something to cause MY to react like that. I also had a feeling that MY may have liked KT when they were young. It broke my heart to see MY so excited to see him when she was running down the stairs, only for her mom to be down there and see her stomp on the flowers. It looks like both MY's parents really traumatized her..

Here I am, on July 4th crying to episode 5 while fireworks are going off. So far every episode has made me cry. Also, I NEED the new OST that played at the end!

  11. Someone in MDL posted that the scene in ep 1 where ST is drawing may be a foreshadow to the main leads relationship. When ST is drawing, this is the audio that plays in the background.

    Spoiler

"I'm still going to love you. You're as pitiful as I am."

    "I'm not pitiful."
    "Yes you are."
"You're even treating me like an orphan?"
"Even if you're not, you think and act like an orphan."
"You're ruthless, insecure, thoughtless, and empty-hearted. But I'm still going to love you. Do you know why? Because I decided to do so"
"I also decided.. I'm still going to love you."

While this scene is playing in the background, Sang Tae is drawing what looks like MY's creepy house. What does everyone think? Foreshadowing? Now I feel like I have to go back and rewatch every single detail in every episode lol.

  12. I was left speechless and in tears after episode 3 and 4. Seeing MY's eyes that are filled with tears and smiling at KT when he came to her at the end of ep 4 just left me crying rivers. I actually had to pause multiple times throughout episode 4, it was just so heavy. Hearing him tell her she was like an empty can felt like he said those words straight to me.

On a brighter note, I feel like we finally get to hear KT genuinely laugh when MY says she prefers magnolias because they fall all at once without hesitation. I wonder if we are going to get a scene where he gives her magnolias? Too much wishful thinking? :please:

  13. Hello everyone! Looks like I found my new red shoes, I am super super hooked to this drama. After reading previous posts, like everyone else I believe that MY is either misdiagnosed or has a self fulfilling prophecy since her mother told her that she was a monster her whole life. Although I don't know much about Antisocial Personality Disorder, I believe that MY is capable of feeling pain and empathy to an extent, that she's just walled up. I could be wrong though? However looking at all of the previous trailers and teasers that were released, we see several shots of

    Spoiler

MY crying, and later in another shot KT saying "Why are you acting like this with what kind of emotion-"

I really hope the case is that she's just severely wounded and messed up from her past. I can't imagine the leads having a love story with her truly having ASPD. Another thing to think of - What could have caused MY's mother to call her a monster, or if it was because her mother was just abusive.

Also, this may be an informational video for those wanting to hear a personal experience with ASPD:
