  1. No wonder they looked so natural. I don't know if it was their excellent acting, or because they became their characters, or because they were very comfortable with each other that I found it hard to tell what was reel vs real esp. in the last 2 episodes. Their adlibs are very good; this reminds me of Donghae couple with lovely adlibs in Hotel King. I miss our Century couple a lot as there is not a lot of news about them after the wrap up party. I became their fans after TBI! I've noticed both are very private, don't use/update their social media sites often, don't do post-drama interviews, don't attend many events... they both love reading books too!
  2. It’s sad to say goodbye... it’s been a memorable journey... thanks TBI for making my Monday and Tuesday so exciting. Not sure when I can move on from the drama; the ending is just wonderful and unique - very Beauty inside indeed... The drama will always have a special place in my heart, and the couples too. Thanks to all the staff and cast who create this amazing production! I teared up a bit when watching their farewell. It’s been lovely to be in this thread with you, to share our opinions and feelings... take care! Thanks for everything!
  3. Mind you, k-dramas have come a long way, from cancer (Doctors Brothers, Autumn in my heart, many), memory loss (Winter Sonata, Boys over flowers, many), wicked mum of rich boyfriend (The heirs, many), time skip (too many)... (I like some of these dramas and don’t like the others). In recent years, we have seen many logical happy or open endings. The plot so far has many twists with most resolved, so I’m eager to see the final push the production will give to the ending. In fact, I found the storyline 'till now interesting with many witty conversations and life messages. It is a fantasy romcom so there are things that don’t make sense, but I watch dramas partly to be in another creative world, so that’s fine with me. A few pages back someone mentioned a drama site. I think I read that same drama site and was astonished to find some comments that made me wonder “what would they say that?”. This drama site used to be one of my favourites a long time ago and recently I find their views quite biased. I doubt if the writers even watch the drama(s) at all or just some clips. To express their opinions is one thing, but to be a KOI (key online influencer - websites, IG, Twitter... with reader/fan base of thousands or millions) I would hope their views to be more impartial as there are 2 sides for everything. For example, to call TBI production a fan service or say it doesn’t have deep meanings is too ridiculous. There are stories to learn in each episode. I kept saying to myself "This drama is so good" when watching the first few episodes as I found them refreshing and fast; I laughed my richard simmons off when Eunho wanted to jump out of the window/door when first seeing Segye change; and I cried so much when watching Segye's mom passing away in episode 10 or hearing Segye saying to Dojae "This is the last thing I say as Han Segye. I love you very much" in episode 14. @kopifan omg I had very some similar emotions/reactions like you when watching ep 14 with sub. I felt empty when finishing it. I felt I needed a break and some space for myself, just like Segye.
  4. @Irly I get what you meant here and can feel why you feel like that. I am a mother a daughter and a wife as well and I’m sure we try our best to not give up on things and on the people we love despite numerous hardships in life. In situations like this, I believe there is nothing called a perfect solution. For us as audience there are no right or wrong feelings as they are all subjective. I just think if Segye stays, both she and Dojae cannot pretend nothing happened. Unintentionally because of Segye, Dojae couldn’t see his dad for the last time, has the illness and lived miserably before meeting Segye. Those are facts. Continuing being together now is hard for Dojae and hell for Segye, so for the time being I believe at least a short time apart is good for both of them even though just to feel and reflect. If Segye is not happy, how can she make Dojae happy? By thinking like that, I do not feel upset or think that Segye is selfish. But yes I cried buckets of tears and naturally felt very sad. We have 2 more episodes and I’m sure avid kdramas lovers know at some point they’ll meet again. When, how and in what situation, we don’t know. Let the writer convince us then I guess. just my 2 cents
  5. I’m actually quite pleased that this episode gave both SHJ and LMK the chance to show their acting skills esp. LMK as we have seen SHJ crying many times in the drama and her scenes are so natural and superb. LMK is great here, well done! Yesterday I very much liked LMK acting esp. in the scene with the evil ex-fiancee of SR too. I support them both on a professional level and personal level (i.e if they become a couple irl it’ll be greattt well if both of them are single and available). Going through some extreme emotions like these together help our OTP story and bonding I guess
  6. The scenes are heart-breaking but the development is logical. If I were SG, I would have felt so ashamed of myself and wouldn’t want to face DJ and his family for a while. I think SG is sensible and feels guilty for DJ's illness due to saving her and unknowingly mocking it when she was trying to finding what illness he had. Running away gives them a break and makes their love stronger I hope... It wouldn't make any sense if they can stay together and be happy as if nothing happens right now. So although I don’t like noble idiocy and cliche which I think this drama has proven to stay clear of that path anyway, I think the writing is quite on point here. If we put ourselves in their shoes, we’d symphathise rather than criticise. Praying for a happy ending!!!
  7. Thanks guys for all the updates and recaps. Eng sub on this site is updated quite fast. Enjoy https://www7.dramacool9.io/the-beauty-inside-korean-drama-episode-12.html This has to be one of my most favourite K-dramas so far. I love the storyline, meaningful life messages esp. when Se-gye did her good deeds when she changed to another person (helping the school girl, helping the mom who lost her son), great acting from all cast, fashion, music, cinematography... Everything is superb! Our lead couple is so natural together that they make me wonder what is reel and what is real. Surely they make each other laugh and happy (esp. Min-ki - he's not the type who can easily smile/laugh or be close to another person I think). The story of our second lead couple is very interesting, and I'm praying for love to blossom with our 3rd couple too I love them all! The drama deserves much more recognition and the ratings should be higher. I've watched a lot of romcoms (as this is my favourite genre) + K-dramas and am quite selective (as in if the drama/acting is good IMO I'll continue watching, if not unfortunately I'll just have to give up). This is one of the best I've seen, maybe in my top 4 for the last ~15 years (beside My girl, You who came from the stars, What's wrong with Secretary Kim). Praying for a happy ending...
  8. Hi guys I love this drama and the couple so much. I'd love all the name you suggested and 'd love to call them Min Jin couple as it sounds nice and has their real names in it. I can't believe I join another shipping thread when my 1st OTP is not even close to being together, my 2nd OTP has a bit more certainty but I don't know when they will ever officially be together in public if that ever comes true. This is the 3rd time I ship a couple (hopefully the last time as this shipping "business" takes away a lot of my laughters/tears/energy and "time" which I don't have much ) I'm rewatching all BTS today and found one part where Hyun-Jin called Min-ki oppa. Both were born in 1985; but according to the Lunar calendar Min-ki (16/1) is actually 1 year older than Hyun-jin (27/2), as the Lunar year was between 2/2/1984-19/2/1985 then the next year was 20/2/1985-8/2/1986. Anyway it's very cute to hear her call him Oppa. Why I love them and the drama? I love the storyline, meaningful life messages esp. when Se-gye did her good deeds when she changed to another person (helping the school girl, helping the mom who lost her son), great acting from all cast, fashion, music, cinematography... Everything is superb! Our couple is so natural together that they make me wonder what is reel and what is real. Surely they make each other laugh and happy (esp. This is one of the best I've seen, maybe in my top 4 for the last ~15 years (beside My girl, You who came from the stars, What's wrong with Secretary Kim). Que sera sera... It looks like they are meant for each other so finger crossed
