I am surprised that Song Joong Ki was among the guests of the wedding.  Of course in the Korean entertainment industry it seems that everyone knows each other...but to be that close to be invited to the wedding?   That's a surprise to me!  I don't recall that they had any work project together before?!

Anyway, it is a glorious day for our couple!  I am so extremely happy for Bin Jin!

  2. BinJin Comrades!!!

The big news we've been eagerly waiting for since the starting of this forum back in 2019 had arrived!!!!  :hooray2:

The better part of this forum means a lot to many of us shippers here.   When I come here again, the memories of how we discussed,  analyzed, investigated, examined, scrutinized, and explored BinJin's relationship together day after day and month after month came unbidden into my head.... For months, this forum was our go-to place...it was also one of the most active shipper forums on Soompi for quite a while because of our unwavering conviction in our couple.

Now all the emotional tears we shed, heart-fluttering moments we shared, doubtful, worrisome, sleepless nights we went through while watching CLOY aired on TV and shipping BinJin after the drama ended have finally come to a fruitful and beautiful end.   What a journey!  I am so exhilarated by their announcement and can't help but cry happy tears!

Massive congratulations to the most beautiful couple Hyun Bin and YeJin!

Congratulations to all of us shippers here too!  It really is super duper nice to see so many familiar names again on this forum after nearly a year!   Finally, a big shout-out to @cybertron for creating this playground for us!   I'll never forget those fun and crazy days we shared together!   :heart1::happy2:

The Red Sleeve production team just release all the background music for the drama Jan 18.

Fans can have access to 72 background instrumental music on YouTube Music

It was one of the most brilliant OST/BGM.  It makes you relive the moments of the drama scene by scene and it is particularly heart-breaking toward the end ..The way to be happy --> Hollow ending --> Deok-im, the moment --> Deok-im, eternity --> San, left behind --> San, the moment --> San, eternity...

The Red Sleeve Director Jung Ji-in's Interview

"Please remember the Deokim that runs brightly in the summer green;  please remember the Yi San that looked up in the cold snowy sky and never forgot that of Deokim.   I hope that the two of you will eventually reunite happily so you will not be too sad. Thank you all for your love.   More than your love for Deokim and Yi San, I loved them both too."

    https://n.news.naver.com/entertain/article/477/0000337527

You can read it through google translation.

In the translation you'll see the words 'Virtue' & "Mountain" many times.

They are referring to "Deokim" and "San" respectively.

'Deokim''s name means "Virtue" in Hanja and 'San''s name pronounced "Mountain" in Hanja.

  5. Finished EP 7 just now.

Seung-Yoo's obvious yet subtle scorn attitudes/gestures towards Jung-ah (the head of admin.) and the sneering speech delivered at his high school alma mater upon his glorious return as a highly esteemed professional are brilliant!   He piques my curiosity and makes me wonder what his next move will be.

As a highly intelligent individual with mellow personality,  I wonder how he plan to tackle those two-faced sanctimonious individuals, who are obviously very skilled at maneuvering situations to their advantages.

The only thing that has changed is that Seung-Yoo seems to have grown into a dauntless young man who is very determined to restore the reputation of his beloved teacher Ji Yoon-soo.

    Can't wait for EP8.

  6.

I haven't logged to this thread for a long time.  It seems to me that so many posts here belong to Son Ye Jin or Hyun Bin's individual actress/actor thread.

I come here to look for BinJin update and after many pages, I find very few.

Yeah, I can scroll pass but it is an annoyance.  Can people please kindly post their individual news in their individual actor/actress thread?   Those tread are there for a reason.  Thanks a bunch!

  7. Frankly I don't feel comfortable seeing so many  trashing the ex-gf all over social media.

Personally I think disclosing private dating details to public is simply the worse way to dealing with things as such, and it truly is unwise of her to choose that path.   Though after re-reading her original claims, I can't help but wonder what if this is her last resort, after being completely broken with all his vague responses, disregard, and empty promises? WHAT IF most of the things, if not all, she claimed about who he truly is privately are factual?

As audiences, we simply don't know who Kim Seon Ho actually is.  All we see is a façade.  He is an actor, and his job is to, well, act - kind of in the name of the job title.  We NEVER really know him.  What audiences love is his portrayal, the idea we have of him.  It is the ideal of him, our own concept, that we love.

With that as the basis, who are we to say that we know him better than the accuser?  Who are we to accuse her of distorting what happened and paint an untrue personality of him, when in reality, none of us bystanders have ever spent a single second with Kim Seon Ho personally?

Indeed her accusation of him packed quite a punch.  We can take her claims with as many pinches of salt we want, there is a lot of room for reasonable discussion around doubts and different perspectives after all, but let's not trash talk or whip up hatred toward the accuser, not only because it is the right thing to do, but also because of the possibility that her stories might not be far away from the truth.   Imagine happily siding with the abuser unknowingly.

I re-read her original accusation of him and find it very disturbing.  I feel sorry for what she had been through even after taking her claims with grains of salt.   Never underestimate how love can cloud one's judgement, sanity, and self-worth.  That said, while KSH is a unworthy boyfriend who treated her meanly, what he did doesn't make him evil and he doesn't deserve loosing what he has built for his career over this incident.   Damage is done -- Him to her and her to him and herself.   I can imagine them both now living in mortal anxiety and dread. Let's not be the one who subject them to further attacks.  I hope they both reflect, and can seek therapy.  I hope  they have supporting families/friends that can accompany them to overcome this gloomy period of their lives.

  8. Dear admin,

I've been searching for the thread for "Smile has left your eyes" aka 'Hundred Million stars from the sky' forever but couldn't locate them.  It simply disappeared on Soompi forum.  Any chance of retrieving it?  Thanks a million.

  9. Greetings everyone!  I am a new fan of Cho Seung-Woo.

I've been following K movie/drama for nearly 20 years.  I rarely considered myself a fan of k-actors/actresses (except for 2 ), but now I think I am ready to considered myself a fan of Cho Seung-Woo!

What an amazing talented actor he is!!!!  He just simply stands out doesn't he?!!    Maybe I'm exaggerating a bit here (since he almost always acted alongside many other veteran and well-respected actors in his work), but wherever he is, he exudes such powerful presence in a way that everything/one else seems to pale in comparison.   I can't help but watch him with fascination....his nuanced facial expression, hand gestures, the pitch of his voice, and the way he walks.....He is just SOOOO so good in pulling the focus of audience with every line he delivers and every move he makes.  His theater acting experience really makes him stand out and special among his peers in his drama performance.   And what's more amazing is that despite of his theater acting experience, his deliveries in dramas are just right, not an ounce extra and not an ounce less...natural, authentic, confidence, subtle, emotive and everything is on-point.

Watching Cho Seung-Woo act is ALWAYS a delightful experience.   He truly is (one of) the most seasoned actors in his generation.  What a gem!

I hope that with his upcoming drama with Park Shin-Hye,  more younger audiences will be drawn to him and more people will discover this diamond. :piggydance:

Btw, does anyone know if it is confirmed that there will be a second season for the drama "Life"?

  10. I found this old interview of Binnie back in the Negotiation promotion period and it was shown in some of the comments saying "

"this is the first reporter to ask such high quality questions".

"The interview question is fresh and meaningful. The actor report is the content that illuminates actor Hyun Bin and not star Hyun Bin."

    I am intrigued!!!!!

I wonder if there is any Korean or anyone who is fluent in Korean here in this thread who can do the translation for us fans here?  Thanks a million!   @KimSooHanMoo perhaps?  Please?

I really LOVE LOVE HB's acting in the Negotiation.  I think that was one of his finest works in recent years.  It's a pity that most of the Negotiation interviews I saw on YT focused on  him explaining the shooting techniques of the movie and not many on more in-depth questions.

  11. @B.MMM 01: their first rumor wasn’t the golf issue. the first one was HB visiting YJ parents in daegu:phew: in this video around 18:20 the reporter said some one commented about binnie’s trip to daegu and jinnie’s parents live there so he went there to meet them.

the video is a report on their grocery rBumor. I think we can make another tag like #InParentsMeetingWeTrust

Binnie's trip to Daegu + Binnie's visit to Ye-Jin's parents:  Is this a hearsay or a confirmed news?   How credible is the news?  Before golfing....so it was probably after the Negotiation promotion?    If it is credible, how come there seemed to be no similar discussion in other news  outlets?   Would love to know more!!!  Thank you!

ps:  I am very unhappy seeing people comparing the acting between Ye-Jin and Binnie (who is better, who had improved because of whom..etc.)  Please show some common courtesy for both actors in this thread.

  12. Our couple decided not to do any post drama interviews for CLoY for a reason and one of them could be that they don't want all the fevered media hype surrounding their personal relationship (in reality both HB and SYJ are notoriously private in the industry).   In fact,  I am feeling that with all these dating news discussion all over the place, it has put a damper on CLoY's achievement.

If fans would take their agents' multiple denial at face value - i.e. that they were not dating and are not dating now, and compares it with A) what the fans believe - i.e. that they were dating and they are dating now,  and  what the fans want, i.e. maybe they are close friends for now but obviously they both have that palpable/intense mutual attraction toward each other, so they'd better be dating.....It is not difficult to arrive at the same conclusion that our couple simply need time/space/privacy off-screen to do whatever they need (be it to consolidate their feelings, to date, to decide which direction they want this relationship to go...etc) to move their relationship to the next level.

With this in mind, I am just not sure with everyone continuously and over-zealously scrutinizing every single picture, every single word, every single gesture, every single move and all the assumptions/speculations around it is going to help them achieve that?     This may not be a popular mainstream of thinking,  but as a long time fan, I would rather that the hype (of their personal relationship) dials down sooner than the later as I don't want my or media's action to inconvenience our couple or make them feel awkward in any way.   Heck, I am still hoping (desperately) to see their reunion in Bakesang Arts Awards this spring!!!

So for the time being, I will only ship them privately/silently and pray fervently for our couple while enjoying my re-watch of CLoY and patiently waiting for their new projects

ps. and this really hurts : -- "But as the Song-Song couple showed, there is a new market that could be created, if two stars getting married, which could be a plus to both of their careers."  -- a new market that could be created?  This is exactly what the media wants out of our couple!
