Now, HDL has another meaning for me besides High-Density Lipoprotein. Annyeong fellow HDL fans.

I hope you enjoyed the latest offering as much as I did. Scarlet Heart Ryeo fans are still probably mooning over the Moon Lovers' reunion. And fans of Gugudan Mina must likewise be happy bec. her intriguing character finally made entry. This episode has a rich emotional terrain. It presented the vital part of Man-wol's back story while still delivering the requisite humour, spooks, mystery, and feels as backed lovely OSTs. Those who had seen the drama The Guest would enjoy the funny aspersion to it and literal moon lovers will likewise savour the reference to the anniversary of the moon landing. Never in my wildest dreams did I think that a fashion sophisticate like Man-weol will don such outfit and leggings.

''You're devouring my nights and dreams---how spookily romantic.'' Those interested in psychical stuff like cartomancy must have also probably noticed how accurate Chan-seung's card as ace of clubs is bec., besides his charms and smarts, in this episode it was repeatedly emphasised how impertinently curious he is. It's interesting to note as well, Chan-seung's dreams aside, that the captain of the guards was also pictured as feigning to leave the helpless Man-weol only to return in time to save her thus making the theory tenable that Chan-seung is the reincarnation of the man she held dear in her heart. It's worth recalling how the mystical moon tree, which is an extension of Man-wol's self, started blooming flowers again when Chan-seung's father came over. Life slowly started to be breathed into her being at that very juncture. She always loves to say that Chan-seung caught her fancy and this is because he represented hope and life for her living yet dead being.

Anyway, apologies for rambling. Thanks for all these HDL photos, vids, insights, and tidbits. Enjoy. Happy Watching (and re-watching).

Maybe we all should ramble more about this drama:)Thank for your insight. I enjoyed reading it.

The word devour is an interesting choice of words coming from the writers. It is such an intense feeling as if he is dreaming about her all his life. Their love story might be 20 years in the making outside the gates of the hotel when a boy first laid eyes on her. As an adult on that empty train, he confirmed that she was indeed Jang Man Wol and he nervously picked up the primrose which he was throwing  all his life  only for the first time take the flowers home with him.

I am not resolved yet with the reincarnation for the simple reason that I am leaving space for a big PLOT TWIST in the story line. I have nothing against reincarnation in this drama if it is done in a tasteful unique way and deviating away from plain old makjang kdrama tropes.

We have seen reincarnation stories before and had been widely discussed in kdramas since the beginning that the story line became repetitive as a broken record. I feel that it might not be the case with Hotel Del Luna for this could be the case of unrequited love or we are heading towards a possible love triangle & a rivalry between a ghost and a human - the Goryeo captain, Manwol, and Chan Sung. I quite prefer Chan Sung to be an independent character and a sign of brand new beginning as noted by the growing leaves and violets.

There are still many questions left unanswered. Man Wol's  tree that never bloomed which the older lady attributed to her arrogance about life. Is Man Wol just trapped in her past that she cannot see the future that is unfolding in front of her? That the man she was waiting for over a thousand years might not be meant for her after all that is why she is still stuck in this world?

The dead tree openly blooming now as Chan Sung being around it more. As always I have a weakness for characters that openly wear their hearts in their sleeves without any qualms he confessed to her in episode 3. He is destined to love her because it takes someone like Chan Sung to go through that tough bolted heart & finally break the curse of Jang Man Wol.

  2. Whether or not Chansung is a reincarnation of Man Wol's past love or a part of her brand new beginning, it does not matter to him for the way he looks at her says it all. The same look that he will put her above everything else even if at the end she will never be able to fully reciprocate anything.

Jin Goo really conveyed so much in this scene. From his boyish subtle annoyance of dreaming about Man Wol's past love up to those deep glances he gives her.

The appearance of a falling star as if this brewing relationship has tragedy written all over it

I hope the Hong sisters will come up with a creative romance interweaving past to present without frustrating the viewers. So far so good right now.  But I won't be hopeful for I was already burned from their previous dramas. If the Hong sisters can keep up the same credibility as the way they wrote Gumiho then I think this drama is going to be a good one.

  3. Three episodes down and still it gets interesting

Although our heroine Ms Man Wol is an adrenaline charged scene stealer, there are moments that I happen to like Chan Sung's moments of quiet cerebration in episode 3.

I have been wondering this fact since episode 1. I know he wanted to get away from the deal his father made with Man Wol. He is afraid of ghosts. But it is more than he decided to stay with Man Wol

Is it first love, pity,  or a sense of responsibility that Chan Sung feels for her?

Either way, their first meeting was filled with the sweetest smiles. My impression Man Wol is the boy's first crush, first love

  4. Good morning and Happy Sunday to everyone:) Are we all heading at our 300 pages?  Congratulations  to My Ajusshi cast for winning at APAN.  As we always predicted here, this drama would be a special gem during award season. My only disappointment is Lee Sun Gyun didnt win last night but I bet he is so happy that Lee Jieun won the top actress award. The always underrated and selfless LSG. He deserved all the respect in the industry. It makes me fume sometimes that he gets overlook during award seasons.  LJE was a bit emotional and thanked him during her award acceptance speech. IU as a singer is a multi-awarded top soloist but this was her first top actress award. It further solidify the theory that LSG is indeed a legendary star maker. Pretty much most of his leading ladies either won awards or became critically accaimed actresses. I don't know how he does it, but IU openly refers to him as her best partner on numeorous occasions & last night award was no exception. It is quite telling on how he inspired his leading ladies to be at their best and shine brightly with him.

Before that clenched fist is shown, right around 57 sec, for a minute fraction of a second he looks at her before very very quickly looking away uncomfortably:

Happy Tuesday:) How is everyone's week so far?  I loved that first train scene between LJA and PDH because as much as he was trying not to touch her, she on the other hand was so taken a back by their closeness. I am not sure whether the PDnim/writernim intended this scene to tease for a loveline or that unexpected oozing spark was mainly because of the natural chemistry between Lee Jieun and Lee Sung Gyun. It is still such a toss up in my opinion even after rewatching it multiple times. I was so confused with that scene during the initial broadcast. I was like wait I thought there was no official loveline? Why was my heart racing all of a sudden? What the heck was that?  Talking about a chemistry so explosive that it could possibly snapped a train pole if they stayed glued to each other. In the back pages, some posters called the spark like  "butter melting" that you could cut a knife right through it:lol:. Yes, the chemistry was that strong.

I know that LJE openly referred to LSG as her best partner but I also think she was his best partner too. I watched LSG's movies/dramas over the years. He had some chemistry with most of his leading ladies but never quite the spark of electricity that he had with his leading lady in My Ajusshi. If you think about it of all the actresses that LSG was paired with, "the spark" had to be with IU of all people? Who would have thought right? Talking about odd and complete opposites that they might as well be a variable in a mathematical equation that does not make sense. They are such an unlikely pairing even their personal career trajectories are so different.. She is a well loved top artist to the point that sometimes every single news about her is blown out of proportion. He on the other hand is an award winning thespian (borrowing @akhenaten's term:D ) that most people loves to overlook despite his great talent in kdramaland. But for some reason LJE and LSG connected in an emotional level as actors and have that palpable chemistry on screen. They can just sit, not talk, look at each other and viewers can already understand their pain and suffering. These two are so lucky to have found this type of onscreen chemistry. Not many actors are granted the same opportunity of finding their best partner throughout their careers.

About the controversy from the previous pages, I am seriously going to be upset if My Ajusshi, KWS, writer Park, LJE, and LSG will be snubbed of award nominations next year because of this ridiculousness:angry: done by people who didn't even watch the show. I will wait until the end of the year if there will be other kdramas that is unique, thought provoking, well acted, and emotionally charging like My Ajusshi. So far no new shows have peek my interest. I am stuck in a kdrama rut after the triple gems of Misty, Mother, and My Ajusshi. My kdrama excellence bar is set so high this year.  No pun intended but I dropped Mr Sunshine despite my admiration for Kim Taeri. I can' t take the close ups and heroic shots every damn episode.  I was cringing that I am afraid I will suffer from a locked jaw. I think I should switch to Jdramas. Any recommendations?

Sorry but when have IU or Fave Ent promote cutesy image for IU recently?

She transition away from the cutesy image her agency make her do in her early career at 2013 with her dramas and music. 2013 is the only year she do 2 drama a year and you can see the sharp contrast in the role of both her characters she play. Bel Ami was hold the cutesy image but You Are the Best! is very much her life story. She follow up this with The Producers which is basically Ji-ah as an idol.

She reinforce this by releasing Modern Times album at 2013 signalling the end of the cutesy image her agency put upon her

@Joseph LimMy apologies to cut your post short. I  don't really like to disagree with a fellow fan but IU still has not shed off that cutesy image. In fact, she reverted back to it with her Palette comeback in 2017. Regardless of how much IU wanted to avoid being called the Nation's Little Sister, she also cannot afford to lose that image because of her superstar status in her home country. She has to cater to the Korean general public which quite frankly is still a very conservative society.

I know this may be off topic but since you are mentioning IU's music and past albums let's discuss it. Modern Times was a jazz bossa nova so it appealed to the conservative older Korean general public with the exception of the hit bop Friday. She didn't really tried to break free from the cute girl next door image even her Friday MV was cute. Nothing daring about it.

Then Flower BookMark 1 - she came back to her ballad roots with the collection of old folk songs. Again appealing to the older conservative Korean general public.

The Chatshire era (2015) she tried to be daring and sexy - with a racy GQ pictorial and a controversial album. She was trying to shatter the innocent goody two shoes image. The Korean public was not ready for it in my opinion. Hence, all the controversies etc followed that album concept everywhere. It was such a shame because in my opinion Chatshire was the golden year of IU's excellent lyrical verse as a songwriter. However, the brilliance of the album was overshadowed by the mounting controversy.

It took her another 2 years to release Palette in 2017. Only this time she learned the fine balance between maintaining her favorable cute public image and her steady growth as a mature artist. The album was a huge commercial success partly because IU found a way to express her music without ruffling too many feathers. My point is although IU tried to shed off the cute image but there are still CF films where she acted cute and banked on her image as Nation's Little Sister (Mon Cher, Kdpharm, etc..). Also, IU is physically cute without even trying with those baby cheeks, doll skin, and petite stature. I think the woman just learned  to embrace the cutesy image instead of rebelling against the very image that made her famous in the first place. She learned to compromise when needed with her management but at the same time it gave her freedom to venture on risky projects like My Ajusshi because of her bankability as a celebrity.

She mentioned how the role of Jian and the drama were so important that it would likely stay with her for a long time. I could understand why IU said those words for the simple reason that she was free for 5-6 months from the expectations of being the cute top star. I think she loved playing the manipulative bad girl Jian, in fact even during filming she preferred to be called by her character's name all the time. IU successfully shed off that cute idol image because of My Ajusshi only this time the general public was behind her 100%. They were rooting for her. As I mentioned before, I have been following IU's dramas for years and watching BTS clips. I could tell that she was happiest while filming My Ajusshi which was odd because the tone of the drama was depressing but the girl was always giddy and goofing around. She even got drunk:lol:.

Oops I made a mistake in my translation. The Kim Tae Ri/ Lee Byeong Heon age gap is 12, not 22 years. I suppose that is more acceptable than 24 years?? To me that's not really an age gap. Maybe more...generation gap.

I think in Korea, as in Japan, coming of age is 20/21 years old. So Ji An in the show has only just come of age as an adult.

No offence at all to IU fans, and really I've become a fan of Lee Ji Eun as well after My Ahjussi, but I have to wonder if IU's cutesy image has something to do with it?  I know this has been said before but Kim Go Eun/Kim Tae Ri despite being younger/similar age have a much more mature image. I mean, the princess dress during her birthday party didn't really help ... and it kind of reinforced my impression of IU  targeting a much younger audience than the target audience for My Ahjussi/Lee Seon Gyun's usual shows.

I have always liked IU and have in fact watched her other dramas before this, but I 100% believe IU's image had much to do with the initial reaction.  Minutes after her announcement as only the potential lead, Korean social media (instagram, I think) exploded with strong opposition to this news, and I doubt that this would have happened had someone else been the one considered.  I do realize though that many of her antis were part of this, but also many of her younger, immature fans.  I wonder if that instagram post has since been removed, but you can sort of see it here in this alkpop post:

    https://www.allkpop.com/article/2017/11/ius-fans-rage-against-reported-casting-in-tvns-my-mister

What I can't understand is why the news keeps bringing this up as a negative thing when the drama itself has been so well received.  And we are only two months from the conclusion.  Have they forgotten already how deeply they were touched?  This does not bode well at all for their chances at winning awards a year from now.:(

The perfect storm of controversy when My Ajusshi production was announced late last year. It started when a fraction of IU's immature Kpop fanbase flooded her IG with hate messages voicing out their  disappointment regarding  her drama role choices. They were expecting another Moon Lovers sequel or she would be paired with another pretty boy actor.  Some even threaten to leave her fandom if she chose My Ajusshi as her next project. The posts are still there in her SNS  so you guys can freely read all the awful messages. The reaction was so intense from her own immature fans that it actually made news as @sadiesmith highlighted above. Then the real IU haters/antis started to jump into the bandwagon and repeating her previous album lyric scandal by spreading false malicious rumors. After that, the korean feminazis started weighing in the issue because you know it's IU so any news about  her was a big deal in South Korea. Moreover,  Lee Sun Gyun is more of an indie actor. He is handsome and charming but he does not have enough fangirls to defend him against all the haters. Poor guy.

Now in Mr Sunshine, there was no big outrage right? The kdrama fans are cringing a bit but the majority are all open to the possible love angle between Kim Taeri and Lee Byung Hyun. Case point that there is always a big difference in maturity level between kdrama viewers and kpop fans. So I agree that IU's idol image has something to do with the controversy but in fairness she also gave Kim Won Suk a heads up early on. However, this PD really believed in her and wanted her for the role of Jian. She had no choice because IU was not crazy to turn down an offer from the great Kim Won Suk. She understood that working with this PD would elevate and challenged her as an actress. This decision was a no-brainer. And IU was right because not only she delivered a great performance but she also garnered so much respect as an actress from her sunbaes in the industry.

What is with that middle-aged mustachioed look??? Is that so he can match Song Kang Ho??

I didn't watch that show but that's something we talk about in writing. Why would you want to describe every detail/pore of your character's face? You need to give them, and the character space. So in camera terms, less close-ups, more panned out scenes where you pay attention to composition (e.g. with glaring "Caution Electricity" signs)

P.S. Thanks pungho47 whoever you are for sharing our site :)

@justamom It was so hard back on 2016 during the Moon Lovers broadcast with so much negative articles and criticisms about LJE's acting performance. If I remembered correctly, I literally had to curse everyday at SNS that I was staring to develop Tourettes:lol: reading all the hate comments. The knetz loved to blame the lead actress but didn't put the same weight of responsibility on the PD. The guy zoomed in the camera so much that I memorized the exact number of LJE's facial moles by the end of the drama. What a train wreck of a director. As a result, I think LJE suffered so much from the harsh criticisms that she didn't come back to kdramas until 2 years later.  This is why I understand big stars like Gong Yoo, Gong Hyo Jin really take their time and are very cautious in choosing their kdrama projects. Sometimes they go hiatus for years because one train wreck of a drama can seriously derail your career.

And I agree Kim Won Suk used less close ups, more into small details in every scene, and his filming style is more like a homage to French Noir films.

LJE: When I heard it was a tag team with PD Kim Won Suk and screenwriter Park Hae Young, I thought this is definitely going to become a great production, without a doubt. Then I started to read the script and it was so interesting I finished it at one shot. After that I met with PD Kim, and while we discussed a lot he told me "you fit Lee Ji An down to a T". With his vote of confidence, I decided to challenge myself and give it a try.

I am choking up with LJE's response:bawling: regarding Kim Won Suk. I cannot talk about this enough but he really challenged LJE acting wise and gave her the opportunity to add versatility into that acting resume. All of LJE's scenes were shot to pure perfection in My Ajusshi. He really made her shine in every aspect of the drama. This is something that PD Kim Kyu Tae neglected to do in Moon Lovers. Pls excuse the bluntness of my opinion but I am not a fan of that PD coz LJE seriously received career damaging hateful comments all because of his obsessive camera close ups:rolleyes:.  As an IU fan, I really appreciated KWS so much for giving me the best version of actress Lee Jieun that any fan could wish for in a kdrama project. I am still saving all the positive comments, tweets, and articles about LJE and LSG because the messages from fans all over the world were so genuinely touching about the show.

So I guess one tidbit of information was confirmed by LJE in this interview that KWS personally offered her the role. "You fit Lee Ji An down to a T" and as always that brilliant PDnim is right. In fact, LJE was so into Jian's character that her real manager Hanteo was complaining about it on IUtv:lol:. At the same time, I haven't seen Hanteo expressed so much excitement about any acting project aside from My Ajusshi that he literally became LJE's reading partner behind the scenes just to make sure she stayed on script. All the love pouring in and validation from the viewers obviously made LJE more inspired to give her best performance in the show.

    Edit:

Why Lee Jieun was so good as Jian? (aside from her innate talent as an actress)

    1) She had a PD that believed on her 100% even from the beginning. He freaking shot her scenes like a poetry in motion straight from pages of a graphic novel. Seriously KWS is like the biggest Jian fanboy

    2) A prolific writer like Park Hae Young that pens imperfect strong female lead characters. I loved all the scenes of Jian's violent tendencies (the knife scene at JYD's apartment is still scaring the heck out of  me until this day)

    3) And lastly, she was lucky enough to have a selfless leading man like Lee Sun Gyun that is known in the industry as a top actress creator. He surely did a fine job making sure his leading lady shines w/ him and sometimes even giving LJE the sole spotlight. No wonder she calls him as her "best partner"

LSG: The character I play is somewhat dark and heavy, especially after IU gets hit by me (laughs). So if you watch at the beginning it might be difficult. But if you do watch, it is the kind of drama where you will get hooked on its way of seeing the world....so there is nothing in particular I would like to share. Please watch it from start to finish with an open heart.

LJE: It's hard (laughs) Let's see...in this drama you have Ji An's love and respect towards Dong Hoon, Ji An's love towards her grandmother, the love between family, the love between one human and another, it really tells us multiple stories of different kinds of love. But it doesn't try to instruct you on which type of love is right. I would be really happy if everyone can watch the drama and freely choose and share in the different kinds and shapes of love.

First of all a big thanks to @justamom for translating. Finally!  LJE mentioning about Jian's love for DH. Also LSG stating about having an open heart (non-judgmental) -  What a great interview! and I agree they were both more free to express themselves outside of SK.

Happy 4th of July to everyone:) I hope everybody  is having a good mid week so far. @t123han your comment is so hilarious that I almost choke on my coffee:lol:. And I agree LSG and LJE are so damn cute! especially the photo where they were staring at each other. I am really trying to get over them but darn it!! that freaking spark between them and uber cuteness always gets me a little crazy. So I have to rant about it here in the mother ship.  It is so disappointing that the Japanese MNET press did better promotions than TVN Korea. Oh yeah, TVN caved in 100 percent to the controversies during My Ajusshi Korean broadcast. No wonder LJE and LSG never have an interview together  aside from the cast press conference. So I am grateful to the Japanese promotions because at least we have photos of them looking so damn cute together!! The way it should have been from the beginning..  OMFG:wub: I almost screamed like a schoolgirl in a crowded train when I saw these photos. Thank you @mylovelystar for the pics.

Yes, he will still walk and take the train and let his employees drive him around but...

When he does drive, he is driving with JA as his passenger. He is showing that not only is he taking responsibility for his own life and future, he is also deciding to take responsibility for JA.

Great point. The only time we saw DH drive was when Jian visited her grandma the last time. Jian's circle (Sage, Ommoni, and Ki Bum) treats DH as someone responsible for her.  It was something automatic for them and yet understated. I agree that somehow DH was depressed and suicidal during the earlier episodes until he found someone worth living for.. The multiple lines about  "she makes me breathe" really strikes a cord about his state of mind and how close he is falling into the edge. It was discussed in the back pages that it was Jian's fire and determination to fight even when life gave her a hard bargain that attracted DH from the beginning. She brought so much fire into him that the poor guy was so lost when she left during episode 16.

Another not so popular opinion:  DH was so unhappy despite having a good family, wife, stable job, and a son. In reality, none of these things matter if a person does not live for himself and sacrificed individuality and happiness throughout his life.  Sooner or later, it will take a toll.

must admit, I didn't see this coming. Yoon Hee's reaction is very subtle. But when Dong Hoon comes home after running after Ji An all night, you can see it in her face when she asks. "Where have you been? With who?" Dong Hoon's relationship with Ji An is a part of him she can never access. That she tried for 20 years to access, but failed.

Before that, in the car after meeting DJY. She calls Ji An. "Do you really like Dong Hoon?" "Yeah." She breaks down and cries. How could this girl have seen the same thing I saw, but ended up falling in love, while I betrayed him

I mentioned somewhere earlier that on this rewatch I began to realise Yoon Hee really loved Dong Hoon. But his inability to love her back in a way that she understood, made her feel rejected. Her love became a sort of hate. Vindictive enough to take him down.

Realising how much she failed Dong Hoon, she realised that in the least, she would prove her loyalty as a wife. And that includes "befriending" Ji An. I can help you, she says. I will help you. It's her attempt to redeem herself.

Yes the YH subtle jealousy was all over that scene. The look on her face was priceless. DH was always possessive about his relationship with Jian. Their world together was impenetrable.  He does not share anything about her except in desperate situations like when he couldn't find her (allowing YH to talk in the cellphone) or desperately avoiding temptation & breaking his marital vows by letting Jung Hee take Jian for she needs a safe place away from him. I guess once you found something or someone so precious then the sense of protectiveness towards that person is understandable. It was also not one sided. Jian being that petite small frame violently threatened everyone not to mess and stay the effing away from DH. They are just both fools for each other.

Giggling at the bolded words above.  Yeah, like if she was trying to get Dir. Yoon or any of the soccer ajusshis fired I don't think she'd try to kiss him.  Keep in mind she had no idea that he would immediately push her back like that.  She probably thought he would reciprocate, which means she'd have to keep up the act for a few moments longer.  She'd probably not do that to a man she totally found unattractive.

    Happy Father's Day to everyone:)

@sadiesmithI am giggling too about that fact. Thank you @fauna for the reminder. Also, please keep in mind the intense look that Jian gave DH before the attempted kiss. The usual intense Jian gaze that DH seems to be the only one that can bring out of her. She  was looking at his lips prior to the kiss so I agree that Jian was curious too about DH from the beginning. The attraction was always there. We just didn't pay attention to it because at that time we weren't expecting a love story at all. The real time reactions from the episode was different at that time.

My favorite song was always Rainbow from MA soundtrack. I just had a changed of heart and now it is Dear Moon:wub: just for obvious  reasons that LJE was also quietly shipping DH-Jian from her fanmeeting Q&A. She was obviously passionate about the lyrics and what it meant from Jian's POV.  And thank god for LJE, she just confirmed the song inspiration was DH and it gave me fresh perspective about the earlier episodes 4-5. It was full moon when DH followed Jian from the grocery store. He stared at that moon while he waited for her in the cold. Such a great scene now looking at it from a different perspective.

I will be cheering on you for the rest of 2018, and the rest of the spring days.

    Thank you so much!"

Happy Wednesday everyone. Thank you again @mylovelystar and @Joseph Lim for posting the hilarious birthday videos of LJE in this thread. I think she just admitted of also being on withdrawal from My Ajusshi and also having a hard time letting go of Jian. Sweetie we all can relate:cry: here in Soompie. LJE was so touched and almost teary eyed in that video from all the positivity this show created particularly all the wonderful feedbacks she had been getting from fans all over including SNS. After all the domestic hate she got from Moon Lovers, it must be encouraging for her to see fans very passionate talking about the show and more like a cult following within the kdrama communities.

There was a question a couple of pages back regarding future roles that will suit actress LJE. I agree with most users here that a good kdrama role comes every two years or so. Although it seems like forever, I am willing to wait around until she picked the right project. The IU team should take notes on what went right from this show and apply it in her future roles. Aside from her great performance, LJE also lucked out from My Ajusshi because of the creative people behind the scenes; 1) PD Kim Won Suk was essential in terms of highlighting her strengths as an actress. He artistically shot LJE like a poetry in motion. She was so beautiful in My Ajusshi with her disheveled bangs being softly blown by the cold wind, the way she ran, and the overall depth and vulnerability of her character perfectly captured frame by frame  2) The rare female centric Jian character written by the amazing Park Haeyoung  3) LSG the selfless leading man that gave LJE more room to shine as an actress which made their partnership in this drama successful .

I am hoping LJE's next kdrama project will also tackle some sort of social relevance and a slice of life reality that we all can relate to just like the way Jian was etched into our hearts. If the drama gods will be nice, I am hoping a reunion with LSG some time in the future.

@andius  that’s why I want to see them do another project together with characters that will be the complete opposite of Park Dong Hoon and Lee Ji An.  They can do a rom-com or a straightforward, really serious and mature kind of romance.  I think they can pull it off.  That’s why it has to be a movie coz a tv drama would have too many restrictions. With their chemistry, I can only imagine the feels!

Happy Friday to everyone here:) I need a serious REPEAT of this LJE and LSG professional partnership. That chemistry and tension between them is really something it cannot just end in one project. I am praying for a heavy drama or a suspense thriller movie if LJE decides to do it in the near future. The onscreen spark will never disappear between those two, they are like successful old Hollywood    onscreen couples that might have been soulmates from their previous lives. Special shoutout to @berny for that great explanation about the reasoning behind LJE and LSG's magnetic screen chemistry.  Also thank you @mylovelystar for posting the pics of LSG and LJE in that second cast celebration party. Again those two with their spark, all they need is to occupy the same space together and that's about it. The palpable feels:wub: pls be still my heart.

I just received the official My Ajusshi OST (it took almost a month!) in my mailbox today. My first time ever ordering a physical copy of an OST after being a kdrama viewer since early 2000. The official CD is worth to wait and not disappointing for being a hard core fan of My Ajusshi all the extra autograph pictures of LJE and LSG that comes into the package I deeply appreciated it. Another first for me:huh:.            I have never cared with any other dramas to order CDs, giggle like a schoolgirl with the album cover:rolleyes:, worry about a Blu ray collector's edition, and some weird stuff like that. Now I understand the feeling when they say "fangirling" . I can't believe I am doing it after years of being in k-drama world but here I am sucked into the Jian and Dong Hoon love pool or should I say a black hole in space? Usually by the time the drama ends I will be ok after a week but this OTP is different. It is almost a month after My Ajusshi ended and I am still not over my withdrawal. In fact, I am rewatching it again so that I won't get pissed off because I missed it so much. Geez I'm hopeless:lol:

I guess I will join the rest of you guys here and order the Blu Ray too even without the guarantees of an English subtitles. Just because of all the possible extras that comes with the collector's edition which is worth it for me. I can just endlessly gawk about it in Soompi and hopefully our Korean speaking chingus here will still be around and translate. I hope the distributor and producer of that Blu Ray collector's edition will seriously consider investing on hiring an English, Spanish, and Chinese translators for subtitles. The product will be more marketable that way especially  across the globe and will triple their profits quite honestly. There is already an international cult following for My Ajusshi. What's the point of producing something if it does not appeal to an international audience because of a language barrier?

I hope Netflix buys this drama sometime in future. At least they have paid subbers and better ones than dramafever, so the original message won't be lost in the transition.

Seriously Netflix should pick up My Ajusshi,  I should probably bother them now and make a request. I am really enjoying Hyori BnB season 1 right now because JTBC happened to have a good relationship with Netflix.  Plus the picture quality is just way better when Netflix does digital streaming at 1080p so I can clearly gawk at the sexy chemistry of LJE and LSG :D like its nobody's business.

And seriously, the translation of last scene was an epic fail.  I wish I could sue for the emotional distress I felt when I read reference to "wife" in that scene in coffee shop. :lol::lol:that alone brought me to soompi  i was so glad someone explained the change in terminologies used to refer to YH.

If tvn will correct the subs in their release, it will be another reason to buy it despite the cost. I am just wondering if an english version of the script is too farfetched to hope for? Id really love to get hold of the script or even just the sequence treatment with director/writer's notes on how to execute the scene (but I can only read it if it is translated to english).

I am always grateful for Soompi and everyone of the Korean speaking posters here for clarifying some things for us. It really made such a big difference in my understanding of the ending. The Dramafever translation is just crap:wacko:. I am hoping the official TVN       Blu ray release will have a correct english translation of the ending the same way that the TVN Malaysia had a correct translation. Yes TVN Malaysia please release your Blu ray version , I will be happy to buy it any day.

Viki should have fought hard for the streaming rights of My Ajusshi. I am subscriber of Viki for years and I can't believe this streaming company is sleeping on Kim Won Suk quality dramas:angry:

I think she knows what it is to like someone in a non-platonic way. She’s very insightful and intelligent. She saw that KI liked her and that he was torn up about it. She admitted to YH that she was envious and jealous of her. Also, she would wander around at night for just a glimpse of DH and run to him desperately when he just wanted a drink with her.

She definitely started liking him first when he was the first one to move her to tears. When he defended his brother and said if you were to humiliate me in front of my family, I could possibly kill you, she realized, here is someone who might understand my actions, my greatest shame of murdering someone for my family. Then she got teary-eyed again when he said there is someone who understands me and I understand her, and I’m sad that someone understands me. She feels exactly the same way. She had a full-on breakdown when he straight up said he would have murdered him too, that he would murder anyone who hurt his family. Not only does he understand her, he absolved her of all her guilt. He set her spirit free.

She was willing to risk going to jail for him by erasing the parts of the wiretapping having to do with the affair. She would rather keep running forever or risk jail time just so he could avoid humiliation. She would break herself into pieces to protect him. That is love.

Episode 9 was the turning point for Jian when the line was crossed from a simple admiration to her falling in love with DH.  Again, I don't understand the brother-sister assumptions, platonic, or hero worship type of theories behind Jian's feelings. The woman is clear  since episodes 10-16 from her multiple love confessions. Then we have episode 15 where Jian practically called YH a big beeyoch and was envious because she have DH as a husband. After rewatching episode 15, Jian using the word "envy"  on that scene equates to the intensity of her feelings towards DH, more like a  possessive nature and desire of her heart. There is a big difference between jealousy and envy.

In my opinion, the more acceptable theory about Jian's feelings that it could be unrequited just like what the Russian viewers were saying. I could accept that argument because DH never really admitted his feelings verbally but at the same time he didn't have to do it.  YH despite being a self centered character already knew that finding Jian was so important for DH's sanity. Everything was falling apart in their marriage but DH never cared instead he was fixated on finding Jian. Even more troubling on episode 15, YH didn't seem to care and question about DH's "over the top" caring behavior towards Jian. I think YH didn't need to ask the questions because the answers were already showing in his actions.  No wonder the one thing she asked for was that "beer" right after criminal case was resolved. YH is also a smart perceptive woman and likely knows beforehand that Jian will be leaving DH and head to Busan for another job. She clearly does not have anymore patience to stick around and watch DH silently pine for Jian everyday. No woman in her right mind wants to stay in that marriage and experience that type of torture.

I thought the first essay, on love, was so beautifully written.

Here's my attempt at translating it:

We fall in love because of our flaws. When I know your flaws, and you know mine, and what we know becomes connected, your flaws become my pain and mine become yours, it becomes an invaluable, precious love between two people. The kind of love that will never, ever end and can never be severed. That is Dong Hoon and Ji An's love. This love will most naturally lead one to desire contact with the other person's body. But this is very different from normal sexual desires. Yes, normal people desire physical contact for various reasons. But why is it not so easy for us to agree to physical contact with the one we love?

If we look at Dong Hoon's misconception of love, he seems to think that his love for Ji An stems from how she helps him overcomes his shortcomings. Ji An, to him, is the only person who can make up for his shortcomings and understand his suffering. Dong Hoon plays the same role for Ji An, but more than helping her overcome her shortcomings, the one who brings personal strength to overcome herself is Ji An. And that makes Dong Hoon eternally grateful towards her. When Dong Hoon extends his hand to her at the end and holds her hand tightly, that could very well be the first time that he faces Ji An and her flaws and exposes his vulnerability to her. Rather than saying it is for Ji An, it is a reflex action stemming from his own hunger (desire). And in Ji An's expression while holding his hand we seem to see a shy smile evading that desire.

Undeniably, both have come to stand up on their own. Undeniably, both have also come back to each other, never to part again. Will they get married? That's unknown. Is marriage the greatest expression of love?

@rellea not sure I understood everything correctly especially in the 2nd para so please do correct if I made any mistakes!

My heart went into serious withdrawal mode again after reading this piece:cry:.  I am never getting off on how much I missed My Ajusshi. Thank you for translating @justamom. How come the DC folks never openly supported this duo during the broadcast of My Ajusshi?  @mujay is right, it would have been nice if the Soompiers would have known they also had the same thoughts. Surely people outside from Soompie loved to ridicule us for being "shippers" but I guess the final episode really made the DC folks changed their mind about the love story of Jian and Dong Hoon.

That handshake was pure electricity with the camera zooming. A beginning of something new. DH's boyish smile and Jian's shyness but determination to see him again. It was enough for me to read between the lines that their love was meant to be and would continue to thrive because they had been through the hardest struggles together, so everything else was a piece of cake after the time jump. Those two will eventually live a happy life together. There is no other option for them except each other. No other woman can stir fire into DH's heart like Jian, and no other man can make Jian care or even make her calm down like DH.

Is marriage the greatest expression of love? It does not matter. People that wants to get married there is nothing wrong with it. But in my opinion, two people don't need to sign a piece of paper just to show their commitment and love for each other. Those marital vows will not prevent a person from lying, cheating, or leave their spouse. DH and Jian already have a strong internal force, a solid foundation built on loyalty, trust, love, and sharing each other's pain. A solid foundation that can withstand the harsh external force.

Okay! So I tried and tried and tried and TRIED!!! But I just couldn't stay away, just couldn't read and not comment...

This is the first time I am EVER commenting on a forum or a show.. seriously people, I am like the KING of silent reading.. I just observe from the sidlelines.

But since this drama has broken soo many cliches, have taken major steps to bring itself and others (us viewers) out of our comfort zone, then why not shatter one more norm and make ME step out of my "comfort observing zone" and actually participate for once?

So I would start of by saying that what initially attracted me to this drama was its discription, and its poster (the one in which IU is bruised), it just looked so different from all the other shows that I decided to give it a shot.

I started this show before the last two episodes came out and finished it about 5 or 4 days ago... I seriously cannot even remember the date when I finished it cause I am still in that phase... still reading forums, reviews, watching clips, and analyzing it in my mind. It feels like I still haven't finished that show, and I am pretty sure you all can relate.

I have NEVER in my life cried like that over a show! Yeah sometimes a tear or two would fall or I would even cry at a whole scene.. But a WHOLE episode? Never! But this time I even did that.. I think I started properly crying from ep 9, and have been crying up until the end of ep 16 (runny nose and all), and still cry if I watch a clip or something. I am surprised at how deeply this show has affected me.

So first of, shout out to the writer, director, actors, and the whole production team that helped make this drama into a masterpiece!

The cinemtography, the use of lighting, color, makeup, and the acting are done to perfection.

A drama is so much more then just acting, its cut scenes and cinematography play as much a role as the actors themselves and this drama displays it perfectly. Cause a setting, mood, environment of the scene is part of the act, it adds to the feel of the moment, and helps convey the emotions that the actors are feeling.

So thank you My Ahjusshi team for bringing this drama to us, I know it wasn't easy.

Now the thing that I observed (it is going to be long, but believe me, by the time you are done reading it, you won't regret it)

First of though shoutout to all the AMAZING people on this forum who have keenly analyzed this show, and kept providing us with all the hidddn hints that the director has put in for us. I appreciate it, and it made me appreciate the dram even more cause of you all.

    So now the observation...

I read all your observations and they are marvelous, and since all of you have dig deep to analyze it, I decided to do the opposite. I decided to step back and take in the BIG picture.

This whole drama and all its characters symbolize something, one way or another, and that is the same for our two main leads, JA and DH.

DH symblozies a body/mind whose heart has died, and JA symbolizes that heart.

So let me make it more clear. As some of you pointed out that DH wanted to be selfish, he wanted to recieve in return and didn't want to only keep giving back, and didn't want to feel bad about it as well. All of these were his heart desires yet he suppressed them and his heart became devoid of life, similar to JA who is lifeless.

JA has same family values as DH, she belives in the same things, fight for the same things. She is straightforward though/she speaks her mind, and she is selfish just like how a heart is. Though she is lifeless. Just like DH's heart.

So when she wiretap's his phone and start listening in on him. She literally becomes a part of him. That scene symbolized that she just insterted herself in. The heart that was lost just found its way back, yet neither of them realize it yet. I think the way DH is very uncomfortable in the subway scene trying his hardest not to touch her as she implants the bug also indicates that something has just happened and that made him uncomfortable, albiet unconsciously.

Now what made this symbolism even more profound was the scene when DH goes to confront KI. Again as many of you pointed out, this is the first time he doesn't have a plan, yet his body/mind still compel him forward. This is also the first time that JA breaks down and cries, and later on DH says in JH's bar that it is first time in a long time that he actually felt alive. JA cried, someone fought for her, stood by her, she cried, freed herself in a way. Same way the first time she felt a little free, DH also felt as if he had come alive.

Another scene that added to this was when DH breaks down/confronts his wife. JA is at home, in a completely dark room (also remember that before when she used to listen to the recordings, there would be light in the room, bluish and very gloomy, though it was still light) this represents the darkness inside DH, and you would notice that the room is this dark usually only when DH is confronting a conflict, such as the talk with this brothers. Okay so moving on, the darkness in the room is the darkness in DH and JA is sitting inside that room with a little light illuminating her face (light symbolize slight opening/healing). JA representing the heart is crying and in agony with her Ahjusshi as he cries, and she feels the pain as if it were her's.

She is also in sync with his footsteps, breathing, which also leads to this indication.

Another profound scene was that when DH saw her from the window of the brothers cleaning truck. She looked at him with eyes that reflected the pain in his heart, other then his own heart she is the one other person that knows the true agony and pain that he feels. And he looks at her as if he almost came to that relaization as well.

Also DH, as he becomes more slefish start to adapt the quailities of JA. Confronting her and others, not backing down, telling her to buy him shoes, etc.

Also him saying that she is the reason he is breathing, leads to this indication.

Also the scene where she says that Ahjusshi I really want you to be happy and he says that he will be happy for her. Your heart is the only one that wants you to be happy, and selfish and not feel bad about it, and JA also practically begs him to be that way.

Also the line where he says that I know you and that's why what you do doesn't bother me. He looks so resigned in that moment as if he is done running and would just accept the truth, JA already knows it and accepted it, but he just now came to accept it. He is saying in that line that I know my heart, and I know you are my heart so since whatever my heart does wouldn't bother me, you cannot bother me either.

Also the scene where she starts running to the bus, DH looks at her and only then does he run. As if he was waiting on his heart. Also symbolizes that he is now following his heart.

Lets be happy. One cannot be happy without the other, just as the heart cannot be happy if its owner is not happy and vise versa.

Also in that last scene when he thanks her. He is practically saying thank you for being happy so I could be happy. If my heart wouldn't have been happy, how could I have stayed happy.

This show practically showed us that in healing other person, you heal yourself as well. Helping others you help yourself as well. Through JA we saw how Ahjusshi healed, and how in helping JA, he healed himslef.

That is also why I loved the ending so much. Because it stayed true to its characters. The kiss or anything romantic would've taken away from the pureness of their relationship.

JA and DH are not soulmates. They are actually a vital part of each other that was missing before. In DH, JA found her comfort/true home, and in/through JA, DH found freedom/happiness.

It was as if DH's heart took shape of a human and came into his life. That is why I don't mind it not being romantic, because you connect with your heart emotionally not physically. It supports you, comforts you and is by your side. Though in the most purset way.

Yet, I would've liked to see how the director would've made them have a romantic relationship while still keeping the show from turning cliche or dissapointing. Or maybe he would've handled it just like he handled the whole show and would've made a romantic relationship so unique to its characters, and so very uncliche, that all the romantic relationships in K drama land would've paled in comparison. I would've liked to see it.. maybe an extra/special episode or something..

    What do you guys think?

Welcome to the ever lively My Mister thread:). I am happy to read your thoughts about the show. Please feel free to share them as you may already know most of us here likes to geek out about the details. In your first point, The synchrony between DH and Jian was my initial attraction with this pairing. The aspect of their breathing, walking, and even when they smile together were so interesting to me while watching the show. There was something addicting about it. The mundane simplicity of their relationship and their sense of contentment just by being together. Nothing grand or flashy like any other k-drama stories out there. Sometimes it's the simplest things that have the most impact on viewers.

Episode 9 was a turning point episode because it was the moment Jian realized that she is in love with DH. I think she broke down and cried not only because she was touched by DH defending her against Gwang Il, but also the thought of him being physically hurt and in pain was too much to bear for Jian. Any woman would cry buckets knowing the man she loves is hurt and bleeding from fighting for her cause.

The definition of soulmates varies and can be individualized. In my opinion, DH and Jian are soulmates in that they are each other's missing piece, each other's home as what you have mentioned. There is no other option for them except each other. Otherwise, they will just both be contended roaming around feeling alone even when surrounded by people. DH and Jian will try to be happy but in the end will always have that sense of loneliness without each other. Their characters are written beautifully that way since episode 1.

The PD and writer made a good decision in prioritizing the healing of the story because seriously both Jian and DH were broken people. I liked the ending because it's a fresh new start and both on equal footing. Although, I agree with you there is always a part of me that will wonder about the romance route.. the what if scenario..

Our show did that?  It regained top spot almost two weeks after its airing?  I guess part of South Korea can't quite exactly move on either. :D

@mylovelystar, that is the same phone case as this one from back in January.  Can someone translate the following short article about the phone case? http://www.sedaily.com/NewsView/1RUCKVOG0B/GL01

Please correct me if I am wrong. But that phone case was given by her sunbae LSG during the start of filming. I read it on SNS a while back. A lot of IU fans at that time were confirming that it was from Lee Sun Gyun given to her as a gift. IU is so sweet that even with a broken side she still hangs on to the case. She even had a sticker of Jian at the back.. (btw I freaking want that sticker!). @mylovelystar do you know where can we get that sticker?

Edit: My Ajusshi topping the charts again? Is there any other new dramas out? Seriously I think the show shook Korea and was very influential in many topic of discussions among 30-40's working class people. And I agree @sadiesmith, I think whole Korea is also in withdrawal just like us:lol:

  20. Happy Monday:). How is everyone doing with their withdrawal symptoms? I am trying to watch Hyori B&B Season 1 for countless times at Netflix to deal with my own symptoms:lol:. The weird and adorkable Lee Jieun from that reality show always cheers me up.  I agree with a lot of posters that My Ajusshi elevated my standards in k-dramas. In my opinion, nothing is good enough anymore after the show ended. I also tried watching About Time but was cringing so much that I need to stop at episode 2. I am staying off k-dramas for a while until the right one  comes along.

This is why I think that to say JA has a hero worship love towards DA is to infantilize and disempowered her, it is to downplay the depth of her character and everything she has battle for, including her independency and autonomy. JA didn’t find a hero in DH, she did find in him, for the first time, a real human being. And that is something so precious to her, that she has to protect him with her whole being. JA didn’t need a hero, but a real human being with his strengths, his fragilities and kindness; someone with who she can rest, share her hardships and learn how to live her humanity to the fully. From JA’s (adult) point of view, it is impossible not to be in love with DH, with him she not only can receive, she can also give. And to be able to give and to receive is to love deeply and fully.

My apologies for cutting your post short. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions and that's fine. However, I will never see "hero worship" as a valid argument about Jian's feelings for DH. She knows what she wants and never backs down on it. Jian is written as a strong female character. It is quite insulting to minimize her love for DH as platonic or fatherly figure. Women find true love at different stages of life during childhood, high school, and older adult years. For Jian, she found that right person for her at the age of 21. She is not that young anymore compared to all other literary heroines in the last 20th century. Some people say that she will find another person after DH. I say not likely. DH is her other half. She waited 30,000 years for him. Do we still  think that she will move on and stay away from him permanently after the time jump? Pfft! one full year is such a short time:) for someone like Jian.

The show ended with a pending date between them. For the sake of argument: how many possible dates can two people have before deciding  they are meant to be together? the answer varies but for some people out there with great love stories, everything started with just one date.

I translated the article Joseph Lim posted of Seo Hyun Woo's interview.

He mentions that he already knew LSK as his senior from their university days. He says that many of the actors were from the same arts university, so that helped them with the comrade-like rapport in the office.

"I worked with Sun Gyun hyung a few times in the past on movies, but My Mister was the first time we properly acted together. In his private life, he is a very good sunbae/senior, but on the set, he really felt like Manager Park. I began to see him not as the Sun Gyun hyung I knew but as if he were really my supervisor Dong Hoon and before I knew it I was looking at him with a respectful and admiring gaze.

Although I am only a supporting actor, I felt that Sun Gyun hyung truly believed in not only me, but everyone on the team. I think we were able to overcome the difficulties we faced during shooting thanks to him, who always gave us courage and often handed out praise. In my case, especially, I felt a lot of pressure because this was my first drama, but that part of him helped release my nerves. The way Sun Gyun hyung allowed us to focus solely on the scene and pulled us forward was very much like a veteran actor.

"I first came to know IU as a singer before an actor. I knew her only as a very good singer, but I was shocked by her acting many times while filming. I felt her deep skill, like that of a true, self-made actress who started out working on indie films and made her way up step by step. The character of Lee Ji An had already taken root inside of IU. I felt a very strong energy from her every time we filmed and her concentration was incredible. I was increasingly surprised by the way she tried to constantly maintain LJA's emotions and thoughts.

There were many times I thought to myself "she's really good at acting" while watching IU. Other Idol actors her age and young actors usually approach technical or emotional acting through trial and error, but there were no mistakes like that with IU. Every time I watched her, I just thought to myself "How does she act like that?". I'm not praising her as a colleague, but simply expressing my surprise and amazement (can't think of a better way to translate 신기함). Of course, IU's JA wasn't a role a friendship could sprout with in the story and, perhaps because of that, I couldn't approach her heartily so I just admired her acting from afar.

"I think [My Mister] was a project that Sun Gyun hyung and IU-ssi acted while trusting each other. I am glad because it seems that that trust was conveyed to the viewers through their acting and was proven/validated (as in their trust in each other was validated by the great end result). As the drama reached its climax, we (the supporting actors) were also swept along and grew tense/excited. In reality, at first, like JA and (his character's name), IU and I were uncomfortable and awkward with each other, but as the drama went on we became a little closer and more at ease. Not too long ago during the wrap up party, I called out 'Ms. Jian!' when I should have said 'Ms. IU!'. That is how much deeper an impression JA left on me than IU."

I am glad that other cast members validated what we were all suspecting in the back pages about this duo's deep on-screen partnership. The trust between LSG and LJE shined through and even made brighter by their intense chemistry in this drama. It really showed how much they cared about each other's performance. As mentioned before, the classic example of that level of trust was the confrontation/ love confession at the end of episode 10 (still my favorite:heart:). LSG just completely trusted LJE to take over the entire scene and delivered probably one of her most intense lines. She was that impressive and everything about her acting nuanced was on point, while LSG steady his phase and just allowed her to have the moment. He never tried once to overpower her presence. If their partnership was a painting, LSG was like a sturdy frame that held LJE like a precious art by letting her shine and perform beautifully on screen. I know it's going to take some time or even years but I'm still hopeful that both of them will partner up again in another project. Their onscreen partnership is really precious to just end it in one drama.

The Great Kim Won Seuk is moving on to his next big project, the historical drama featuring Song Joong Ki, Kim Ji Won, and Jang Dong Geun.  What a cast.  They are so lucky to get a chance to work with him.

Lee Ji Ah is set to play in her next drama too.

I guess IU will pick up her singing career and stay there for a while?

Sadly yes:( LJE is back to being IU for the rest of the year. I will miss her in k-dramaland but she is also on top of the music charts and will release her comeback album next year. Seriously, I'm not looking forward to another IU drought at this point:cry: . She will disappear for a while (except for CF films) while creating her album. I am wishing with the success of My Ajusshi, I will not wait another 2 years before she decides on another drama.

LSG is also taking a break, that man needs to do more kdramas and not be stuck doing movies all the time:(

How many versions of DVD/Blu Ray are there?  We should all flood DF comments section and complain about the inaccuracies.  I am still disappointed that Viki was not able to get he licence.  Reading new timed comments on Viki is one of the reasons I rewatch my favorite dramas multiple times.

I was so disappointed when Viki didn't get the license for My Ajusshi. I mean Mother got both licensing of Viki and Dramafever. Most of LJE's k-dramas are all exclusively rights by Dramafever in North America. Now I wonder what kind of a mess they did subtitling Moon Lovers too:huh: Why oh why!! it is always tough to be an international fan of IU:(

Can Dramafever stop buying exclusive rights of LJE's dramas? Is the owner of that company an obsessed IU fan or something:lol: I mean the site have all exclusive rights and and holding hostage LJE's dramas even Dream High. Their horrible subtitles and slow service really sucks the life out of everything .. So sad-_- Everyone was cursing their website during the finale episode of My Ajusshi because they posted it so late. And now this crazy subtitle screw-up for My Ajusshi with the important language nuance of the ending. Yes, I am getting pissed off about it.

This was aired on tvN channel, on a Malaysian IPTV service.

Thanks so much friend:heart:. So I will buy the Malaysian version of MA because I know the subs will likely be accurate of the ending.
