Hurray! I am so happy! Inrang in 2nd place with Mission Impossible taking the first, which was expected.
The good thing is MI was shown in more theaters than Inrang and with this in mind, it could even go to first place.
It's far too early to celebrate as it has only started showing a few days ago but the trend is very promising making the long wait so worth it.
There are posters here who have shown pessimism and all based on what others have written; or perhaps for other mundane reasons better left unsaid. I don't believe on others" comments as liking or not liking a movie is relative. What's good for the goose may not be good for the gander.
I remain very optimistic as the cast and crew of Inrang have worked very hard to get this movie into the big screen. The leads Gang Dong Won, Han Hyo Joo, Jung Woo Sung and the rest have been very busy promoting it too.
Sadly I won't be able to see it soon as I don't live in Korea but if it does come in a theatre nearby, rest assured I'll be the first in the queue.

All the best to you Jong Suk-ssi.@kembie I know there are parts of the puzzle which we can't piece together, and surely there would have been a good reason for moving agencies but oddly enough, If I were LJS I would have stayed with YG. If you have an agency that handles groups like Bing Bang, Epik High, singers like Psy, actors like Gang Dong Won, most likely everything has been set up well and organised otherwise the agency would not have reached the level where they are now. The main advantage of a big agency is that they have the manpower and the financing to carry out projects and provide ample support to their artists.
Well let's see. Far too early to tell.

@missyouso Possibly just getting further info about the course - an open day for the next school year's students. There's no chance that he'll do a Masters in between his busy schedule. It's just not possible mentally considering the rigours and the amount of work that has to be put into a postgraduate course. There are countries that have them for a year - but again, very thorough with plenty of research, essays, etc to submit. Others have them for 2 years. Unless LJS would do it part time, which I am not sure if Korea does that kind of arrangement.
With his military training also being planned soon, I doubt if this could be postponed any further. He already postponed it once.
Far too many balls in the air.

@missyouso I am one of many others who would want HHJ/LJS in a movie or drama together again but as I've mentioned in a previous post, this 2-part drama "Hymn of Death" is not the best way to stage a comeback together for various reasons as I see it.
At least the lead actress has now been chosen and keeping fingers crossed that she would deliver and express the role as expected and I'm very confident that she will.
I reckon, the concentration of the drama may be more on LJS as Woo Jin. After having watched him in VIP, he has proven his mettle as a top notch actor and portraying Woo Jin would be a piece of cake in comparison.

@shishi101 Whoa! That's a lot of a budget for 1 Korean made movie. It must be really good! Considering the time they've allocated for editing it, undoubtedly something to look forward to in 2019.

@shishi101 There must be that extra touch required hence the extended filming. Aiming for perfection in every way. Surely, no problem with the leads HHJ and GDW as they are committed to their craft.
Yes, I've seen a lot of footage showing GDW in Taiwan promoting Golden Slumber. I doubt if he even had any break at all. Good to know that HHJ did have one, albeit short.

@adeleyam YES, my thinking too. In fact, I thought it was a recent one that I even praised her for her new shorter hairstyle in IG until someone mentioned that it was a photo taken several years ago. Silly me.
Why throwbacks when surely there are thousands of other photos which were more current. Am also certain that people would like to see our Han Hyo Joo on the here and now.

@frozentundra I've thought about my reply and even of editing it but the more I think about it, the more I'm convinced that it is not the project that the two of them should be in.
First: - HHJ and LJS and their handlers and agencies have been dodging the bullet since W has ended. Even during product endorsements & inaugurations knowing that they are already in the same place, at the same time, never was there a photo or a footage of them taken together (except in the one movie premiere). All photos of them together in IG and Twitter, if I'm not mistaken, post W, have been photoshopped. What keeps the fire burning are the fans, like most of us on this board, who are hoping that there was something beyond W not just as co-actors. There must be a reason for this and we are sadly not privy to them. Hence, with all the dodging and avoiding the press, etc, is it wise to have one now to act in an intense, passionate 2 part drama series?
Second: - A lot of people who follow them have refused to admit the fact that HHJ and LJS were actors and are acting the part of Kang Chul and Yeon Joo. It's been more than a year now, and it's about time to accept that they have done/will be doing different roles. But how about those that can't move on? They can only see HHJ and LJS together as a unit & not the roles they portray. So if they do jump and have a tragic death all because of love, perhaps it's OK. This brings me back to my first posting, that they are better off having it with other leads as to diffuse this idea, that they are not in it together, and are just acting the characters given.
Thidly: - Then there is Inrang. HHJ worked on it for 7 months and is now on its editing stage. When it will be shown, perhaps early next year? I don't even know what Inrang is all about but am sure it would be of mega in scope and quality considering the amount of time it would take them to have it shown in the big screen. Will it not affect Inrang as a whole, knowing that this time HHJ is the lead and not just with a minor role? How will you promote it? There will be many pre-showing fan meetings and should HHJ act in the tragic drama as a singer who fell in love with a married man, there will definitely be an overlap.
My 2 cents entirely and I reckon many would disagree.

Although I'm hoping that HHJ and LJS would be in a drama/ movie together again, I don't think this would be the proper one for them.
Perhaps one of them in it but not both.
And should LJS take the role, the actress should be exceptionally good.
And in the case of HHJ taking it, I could only think of Park Seojoon.

Echoing @syzygy17 I really hope their fans will support them till the end. A real fans would support their actor/actress 100% and will happy as well for their happiness.
PS: now it more make sense during SBS Award both Suzy and LJS act more like a stranger toward each other. If I do have my own love interest I will act the same too as I don't want public to speculate that I'm in relationship with my ex co-star and ruin my own relationship especially if it just start it.
Now I'm in jeopardy, half of my heart want LJS and HHJ confirm their relationship too as up to now I still strong believe they are indeed a couple, but half of it prefer them to keep it for themselves. Ottokee??
@egluvsnupi On added note, Suzy seems to have moved on quickly from LMH. She is a very popular in Kpop land and yet she openly announces her relationships. Well done Suzy and Lee Dong Wok (adorable in My Girl!).

I'll go a bit off tangent here but in a way would also relate to our honey couple.
There has been news about the new couple. With the looks of it, it's official. On how this would be disputed, let's see how their PR machines would get out of this one. There was a time that a similar issue involved PSH with LJS in 2015. Photos galore and sightings etc, but at that time both countered against the news and same by their own agencies.
The reason I've mentioned this is because of the sudden U turn of events, the fandoms were not ready for it. There are the minshin, jongshin (and yes, they are still active) and other shippers who are not happy & are in uproar.
I've always seen our honey couple in a more solid ground than other couples. I base this from the BTS unscripted moments, the innuendos, the clues and hints, etc. Although they haven't been seen together publicly since their drama W ended, another is that they both neither deny nor accept that they are together and their agencies are doing the same too. Hence us, me included in a big way, is left in this delulu world that they are indeed the pairing made in heaven.
I'll dread that U turn happening and should it ever occur I would be very disappointed of course. And who would not be? They looked so perfect for each other.
BUT, and that's a big BUT, we do have to realise that actors are people too and we have to learn how to differentiate the reel from the real.
So to Park Shin Hye and this lucky man, wishing them happiness and may their relationship thrive. Hopefully their bashers would wish them the same.

I think it would be quite an interesting challenge to do two very different projects back to back, but using some of the same actors, and I'm curious how they will pull it off. (If I understood the articles right, I think they only filmed three days together on GS though, right? They don't have a lot of on screen time together.) Given the fact that they are both excellent actors, I am sure that both will be satisfying to the viewers. As to real life, though, I'm not really seeing a romantic connection. Thus far what I know about kdw has come from interviews with him, reading his own words on his own self, and he seems like a solitary sort of person--not shy and wishing he had a million friends, but like someone who honestly prefers being solitary. HJ might be an introvert, but she actively LIKES people, she wants to spend time with them. She has many long-term loyalties and enjoys going out and spending time with people. And I think she might be a bit lonely with someone who chose to only have a very small handful of friends. But that's on a romantic level. On a professional colleague level, I think they could get along well, because both of them are highly committed to excellence in acting, and are hard workers and would both want to do their best on whatever project they were involved with.

What I like about him is the variety in his projects. I see all these flower boys who look the same. That is commitment to his craft. I’m actually starting to like him and would be happy if he and hyojoo become friends.
The other actors that I like are Lee Jehoon and Park Seojoon because I think they are both authentic actors. I would really really be happy if she gets to work with them in something good.
@kaz11 "And he’s not afraid to experiment with his looks considering the prettiness" LOL. Reminds me of someone on IG which kept on tagging him as "nothuman" which I found hilarious. On Gang Dong Won, he is not only "pretty", and an amazing actor, but is also very intelligent with a Mechanical Engineering degree from Hanyang University under his belt. The whole package! Not just good looks but the intelligence to boot!
On HHJ, her role will be much bigger in Inrang, if what I'm reading have been correct hence expect more interaction with the lead actor too. But with the looks of it, it won't be out this year so we just have to wait.
And yes, am sure GDW and HHJ could be very good friends not on a romantic way perhaps but as actors who love and are committed to their craft.

With HHJ in "W", I found her acting and character par excellance! Consider me biased as anything with HHJ with it would be something worthwhile watching. I don' t know how it could have been improved. As for the storyline, I am not into Manga and all, but I think the story flowed and each episode was as exciting as the previous one. The story didn't drag unlike other dramas that kept on going for ages and yet could have been done in 16 episodes or less.

She looks more nervous in GS stage greeting (is it because of a megastar like KDW *haha*), she's so used to be in movies dominated by actors but still stands out among them.
I don't know how many countless times I've watched her in 2D1N and recently rewatched The Beauty Inside.
Tbh, alittle disappointed to know about her small role in GS, after waiting for a long time. I'm certainly anticipating to see her in Inrang with Jung Woo Sung too! (More appearance and interviews for her *yay*
) Got a hunch this movie would be as highly anticipated as Cold Eyes.
I've watched the animation and I'm so thrilled for Hyojoo's character who is supposed to be the female lead. Although reading the synopsis, the story feels slightly different from the original movie (which is good I would say), just hope director doesn't minimize her leading role and mainly focus on the actors again
@wildaffairs She was great in 2D1N! Truly one of the boys and very competitive too. She was game throughout and the rest of the casts am sure were mesmerised by her.
In Beauty Inside, she was amazing! Aside from being casts with Korea's woohoos! 3 of them would have been enough to keep me glued. How they managed to get that line up of actors to work in one movie is mindboggling. For those who haven't watched Beauty Inside yet, it's highly recommended. As what the title would imply it is not the outer physical outlook which matters but the person within.

when I was looking for updates i saw an interview of the cast, Kim Uisung said after filming he, kdw and another friend went on a trip. I wonder if hj is the other friend since he posted a photo of the 3 of them eating (which he later deleted) lol. Well, if it’s hj then it’s totally her bc she does get close with people she works with. Still talking abt CSB Jin Goo said back then that she would not turn them down whenever he asked her to go drinking/eating with the other cast/crew.
I also read somewhere that dongwon is not into romances. What a contrast since hyojoo loves them.
I just have to chime in. Wonjoo shippers? Interesting.
Again, I'm not going to lie ( seems to be my favourite line at the moment). I am a HAN HYO JOO avid follower without doubt as she is not only a multi faceted talented actress but also an amazing person, inside and out.
On actors, there are 2 who I admire - Gang Dong Won and Jo Insung. They are both excellent actors and exude a sense of mystery. If I were to add a 3rd, that would be Cha Tae Hyun, the family man who never ceases to make me laugh whatever role he plays the last one being the movie, Two Worlds.
And back to shipping, isn't it too early to even consider shipping HHJ with GDW? It comes with the territory I guess.

Since it has been mentioned previously on dramas or roles that would have been great of HHJ, there's this movie/drama that kept on coming up in drizzles -The Notebook.
This must be based from the American movie with Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams.
That would be apt for Han Hyo Joo and she'd fit the role to a T. As for the lead actor, this may be a bit difficult to choose as who could fit into a Ryan Gosling type. I have 3 actors in my shortlist and HHJ has acted with them already before.

We all started following Han Hyo Joo due to a drama, movie, or TV show she did. For you it was running man and for me it all started because of Dong Yi.
I could count only a handful of Korean actors/actresses who I follow and it just so happens that HHJ is one of them.
Yes, I believe she was great in Running Man. I still have to see that one. If you haven't seen her guest at one of the episodes of 2D1N, I suggest you do watch it. Hilarious guaranteed. Never a dull moment from start to finish. The boys adored her too which was great.
As for Golden Slumber, I am so looking forward to watching it but I don't think it will be shown where I am soon. Let us know what you think of it. Undoubtedly it would be great! You can't go wrong if you have the likes of Gang Dong Won and HHJ in one movie. Inrang, is also something to look forward too.

From the timeline by May 2016 both already comfortable with each other, we can see clearly from the BTS of the slap and first kiss scene but I don't believe they are an item yet.
