Although there is a certain uniquely magical feel to Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, every single day can still be like Christmas. If today, inside my heart, and as outwardly expressed by my actions, I am kind, joyful, generous, and forgiving, then even if today is not December 25, it is Christmas.

Just days before Christmas, a severe tropical storm hit some places in my country, leaving a death toll of 200+ persons. Several of my countrymen in Mindanao, Philippines, spent Christmas in unimaginable pain and sorrow, having lost their loved ones, homes, properties, and businesses.
I dedicate this song, written in my native language, with it's heart wrenching melody, to them... It's a song telling of both sorrow and hope: sorrow, because of losing a loved one, yet, hope's certainty of seeing them again and being reunited with them.
TITLE: IKAW LANG ANG MAMAHALIN (ONLY YOU...I WILL LOVE ONLY YOU)
Music: Louie Ocampo
Lyrics: Joey Albert (who originally sang this song)
This Cover, by: Faith Cuneta (Her version is the one I love most, along with the original version)
ENGLISH TRANSLATION (by me..., not verbatim, but just drawing out the meaning of the words )
In every circle of life
There always, must be...a time to part ways
While the heart may fight against it...
Still, nothing...it is helpless... it can't do anything.
Where...? When...? Will I ever kiss you again?
While this moment may never be enough for us
I just know...somehow...we will see each other once again
As long as there are tomorrows I can still face
Only you... I will love...only you.
While the heart may fight against it...
Still, nothing...it is helpless...it can't do anything
Where...? When...? Will I ever kiss you again?
While this moment may never be enough for us
I just know...somehow...we will see each other once again
As long as there are tomorrows I can still face
Only you... I will love...only you.
