    Would be very fitting of their characters and oh god, please do not give us those rom com type of "our lips touched = kiss" kind of crap lol where the characters just stay stationary with their lips pressed against each other. It's just really awkward to watch haha .________."

     

    And yes, HCY is one of my favourite female characters! Wacky but charming. Gone are the days of the "stupid, white and sweet" (傻白甜) type of character. Or characters that have no backbone and only know how to cry and whine lol

    I actually thought of a potential way to end the drama while staying true to the main theme of the show (which isn't romance of course) while also showing that V & CY are endgame. 

     

    Can you imagine V saying something like "That's Mrs. Cassano for you" and the camera pans to the usual cinematic ending shot of both of them in one screen. Something like the endings we have gotten for all the episodes as of now, them being a power couple/duo. 

     

    Not sure if you guys know what I mean hahah. Just a random thought which I felt could address the romance/chemistry while staying true to its roots.

    Vincenzo and Cha Young are such an impressive team. They are so attuned to each other. We have two head-strong, unorthodox, smart (good-looking, funny and dramatic) lawyers who instead of over-powering, complement each other, have each other’s back and might I add have quite come to rely on each other (especially Cha Young). The court shenanigans and their flair for spectacles is so bizarre and absurd yet it’s somehow fun and humorous. Their plans might not always be the perfect ones but it helps that they almost always have a backup plan to rely on when their original schemes are thwarted.

     

    Vincenzo's schemes against Babel have been successful most time irrespective of small, major or partial wins, which is why I think our duo is on the verge of facing some setbacks in the coming weeks. Also because I think from this point on don't see any strong motivation for him to butt heads with Babel unlike Cha Young (unless he is doing it only for her, IMO which is a little out of character currently). He himself said that punching a couple of holes in Babel Ship is enough to pacify his anger. So I find it difficult to see him persist in his time and efforts to take down Babel when he'd rather dedicate it on getting his gold. I am curious to see what would the trigger be in making him unleash his Mafia side and going all in (the easiest guess would be his Mom, but I think that wouldn't be it considering there is unresolved angst and resentment between the mother-son duo).

     

    Cha Young is a character I love to bits. She is so unabashedly herself without a concern for what anyone thinks of her. She is so badass with her antics and drama that I can’t help but have a girl-crush on her. Though on surface she seems like a whack-job - she’s perceptive, smart, cunning and an unafraid woman. We may have seen cracks in her façade here and there but these days she has a certain lawyer to support her during such times. Her confrontations with Myung Hee are filled with so much tension and I believe she’s treading a very thin line with both Myung Hee and Jun Woo that I’m afraid that they’ll soon come for her throat. However, In the end, I do hope that the one to take down Zumba Snake is the girl with a few screws loose.

     

    About our couple, how absolutely adorable is it seeing our ruthless mafia being tender and soft for her. Those soft smiles Vincenzo has for her are EVERYTHING!!:heart2: I love how subtle their relationship progress has been from reluctant allies to powerful and enviable partners. They've been getting comfortable in each other's company and it's visible that which each passing episode they're getting used to being in each other's "personal space". I really can't with all of their grabbing, holding, hugging and touching these past few episodes. Though I'm afraid i'll be disappointed that this is all we'll get since this drama doesn't essentially have romance as a genre. i'll be okay with the crumbs too, just hope that makers don't leave us hanging for their romance after showing a good lot indications of their potential love story.

     

    It's a good thing that this show doesn't take itself too seriously and doesn’t seem to dwell on heavy hitting moments. Which is what works the best for me when watching this show. It does manage to work out a perfect balance for most things (except for maybe the tenants and their parts), making it my current favorite airing drama.

    Very detailed analysis and I agree. It found its footing after episodes 3-4. Those 'haters' online should really take a chill pill. It's just a drama and it really isn't that terrible. In fact, it's been a long time since a drama (and at 1 hr 20mins each episode) is able to keep me glued to the screen for the whole duration and not use my phone lol. 

     

    And I am not okay with crumbs of their romance. It's not a rom com so I do not expect much but some normal adult skinship should be shown! (like in hyena or lawless lawyer)

     

    Speaking of SJK, he gives off a much mature and attractive vibe now compared to his DOTS days, which was more cute/youthful/playful? Not sure if it's the character he is playing in Vincenzo or he just went through a lot in life the past 5 years LOLOL. Or maybe it's just age hahah.

     

    Anw, it's a vibe/impression that I really welcome. :) I actually started liking him as an actor and keeping an eye on his projects starting from Arthdal Chronicles, which was after DOTS.

    I agree wholeheartedly - the chemistry, the presence + acting skills, everything! She's someone whose future projects I will look out for.

     

    To sidetrack a little since we are on this, I have never felt ANY chemistry between SJK and SHK in DOTS, despite the hype and how huge that show and song-song was back in 2016. They are both gorgeous people, yes, especially SHK. But something was just off. I couldn't get on the song-song bandwagon.

     

    When they suddenly got married, it felt really bizarre LOL but hey, it's just my opinion and their personal life is none of my business since I do not know them personally (please do not hit me if any of you guys are fans of Song-song hahaha).

    Not sure if this has already been shared here but I quite enjoy their interactions. It’s evident they’re very comfortable with one another. When asked what Cha young meant to Vincenzo, sjk answered that she’s very delightful and every word she says can be heard in his heart. Jyb’s favorite scene was Vincenzo riding the horse. It’s safe to say she speaks for everyone lol. 

    My favorite extra is Mr Nam and I also like the NIS agent. Everyone else, the lesser screen time, the better lol. ---> My exact sentiments haha

     

    YB has quickly become one of my favorite actresses. She’s talented and I look forward to checking out her past/future projects! Aside from being gorgeous, I love her personality! She’s cool, down to earth, and a ball of sunshine. Her beautiful smile is so radiant and I love seeing her grace the screen. ----> My exact sentiments too!

     

    And yea if he was still married, I will just lament at the wasted chemistry and potential because fantasy is still different from reality. hahaha. But hey, if they really do try it out irl, I'm all for it LOL. But for now, I am just looking forward to what the future episodes bring and also their development in the show.

    The BTS was so much fun and longer than the last few BTS videos. Kim Sangcheol was a great guest star.  I am annoyed seeing the scenes they cut. Why did they cut scenes with our leads and antagonists but kept in so silly Plaza residents looking for gold which add nothing to the plot?:rolleyes:

    Agreed! JYB really grew on me and KSC was a perfect guest star. This should open more doors for them going forward.

    And yes the tenants, ugh. Less is more at this point. I find myself always fast-forwarding their scenes. :S 

     

    A shoutout to the actress playing Choi Myung Hee too - that arrogant expression she gave cha young at the end of episode 8 was on point. 
     

    Also, I don’t think I would have commented much on SJK’s & JYB’s on-screen chemistry & irl if SJK was still uhm, married. But since he is single again, let a girl be delusional for awhile! But yea that’s not the point HAHAHA

    Hello! Silent lurker here haha. It's been >5 years since I logged into a drama forum. I don't comment on dramas I follow (I usually read peoples' thoughts/opinions) but I just had to for this!

     

    I am really loving the SJK-JYB pairing!! They are sooo compatible! I don't usually ship actors and actresses irl because I know they are just doing their jobs but I couldn't help but root for them in the drama and also irl LOL.

     

    The latest BTS showed SJK and JYB leaning towards each other naturally (cheek to cheek) without any signs of awkwardness when watching the camera after they finished shooting the ending of episode 8. And SJK continued holding her shoulders while doing so. Skinship 100/100! It's blowing up on twitter as well!

     

    I screamed with happiness internally LOL just wondering if anyone here echoes the same thoughts as me? haha :)

     

    P.S. they actually deleted scenes of cha young at vincenzo's house for episodes 7-8, nooo!

    Thanks for all the input guys. I love reading peoples' perspectives on scenes in dramas as everyone has a different way of viewing things.

     

    One thing that I can't stand would be the writing Ji-Ho as a character who has zero dating experiences - is that necessary? I don't understand the purpose of this. :o Can someone enlighten me?

     

    I personally would prefer Ji ho to have some, even if little, experiences even if they weren't as tumultuous and passionate as Se hee's. It kind of sucks for SH to have experienced every single thing with his ex while poor ji ho hasn't even been kissed. 

     

    Its just my own thoughts after 14 episodes haha. I welcome any input!

    Anyone as shocked as I am with Jung Min's backstory?

    I honestly did not expect a pregnancy to be involved!!

    Ever since the show started dropping hints about Se hee's past, I kept wondering what happened.

     

    This is a lot for Ji ho to process and I feel for her, but tbh who else wanted Se Hee to have a 'cleaner' past (sorry i know this ain't reflective of real life but this is a drama!) but omg i just cannot deal with him actually getting someone pregnant! 

     

    Everyone knows what has to be done for a baby to appear. LOL. Poor Ji ho who is still uhm,..pure at 30

    Watching KSH grow as an actor and celebrity will always be more interesting than focusing on her love life. Also, she's really young! Even if she says she wants to date doesn't actually mean she will. I mean for a workaholic like her, I doubt she'll ever find the time to date properly.

    The other 93 liners like Seo Kang Joon, and his teenage love scandal was just messy and came back to bite him later on.  Pointless really.

    Ahh yea I remember the blind dates part. I see where you're coming from, makes sense too. Its just that the translations were all over the place I get confused as to which is real or not. 

    I guess judging from his interviews and outlook in life, he will most probably go for a non-celebrity as his future gf/partner. I will be kinda sad if he announces that he is in a r/s one day (lucky lucky girl haha) but it really isn't my (or anyone's) business.

    As long as he continues acting haha.

    This is what @joyspartace said yesterday. Yshbiased also translated it . Then, the other part ( the heart fluttering part) is false. 

     

     

    Knowing YSH, I don't whether I'll wait for one year. He keeps changing his answers regarding his ideal types and women. Who knows what he'll say in one year. At least, he has admitted he has dated a few times ( which I suspected it).

    Regarding his dating, how did u even suspect that he was? 

    I couldn't, especially with all the articles till 2016 that did not even give a hint that he was. (I mean, well, it's not like its something he/they will announce blatantly but still..hmmm)
