  1. Am I the only here hoping that SB will go back to his original body? I just think it's unfair for him and SY. SB is clearly a guy with a straight guy's feelings, he was clearly disappointed that it was not HY but instead the king who he slept with. It's unfair if he would eventually just settle as the queen because he doesn't have a choice. And SY as well, it'll be nice if she can finally live a happy life with the king.

    Because there isn't any pediatric surgery residents written into the drama, only a nurse from the department is written in.

    One thing I noticed after this episode, I don't think I see an interaction between Ahn JeongWon with his pediatric residents up until now. I mean, Dr. Bae is an ER resident, so who is pediatric resident? When he examines the patients in his office, there is no resident, only nurses. I also didn't find another pediatrician other than JeongWon. There are some other doctors in other department, even in SeokHyeong's department there is a woman doctor. When SeokHyeong did the operation and JeongWon was there to take the child, is the other man that walk with JeongWon is another pediatrician or resident? I couldn't tell. I don't want him only work with GS/ER/Obgyn staff. Not because I don't like it, but I hope I will see JeongWon's interaction with his pediatric colleagues and residents.

    Pediatric Surgery is a sub-specialty of General Surgery, so technically Dr. Jang is considered to be JW’s resident.

  3. It’s not everyday that I get to be attached to a drama, only a few of it and Hi Bye Mama definitely is now a part of that few series. As much as I love this drama, I don’t think I would rewatch it again just because I would be reminded of the hurt and bittersweet of this drama, from the very first episode till the end I’ve been crying (that’s how much I’m invested to this) but I will certainly recommend this drama to others. All the cast is so precious, I love each and everyone of them. To everyone involved with this series, THANK YOU. Thank you for giving us such a wonderful drama.

    And to everyone in this forum, thank you for sharing all your thoughts. It was a nice journey with all of you. :heart:

  4. One thing I’m bothered though is to why they didn’t let SW know about YR? I understand that they want to move on but isn’t it SW’s right to at least know who her biological mother is? She’s a kid and maybe wouldn’t understand the whole thing, but the fact that they didn’t even bother to at least say a little bit about YR baffles me. GW prolly is too busy with work and moving on (trying) but it would have been nice if MJ could at least tell SW that her “real” mom is already on heaven, even just that small line just acknowledging that YR did exist you know...

  5. Will there be a season 2 or will they end it next week? Cause if next week will be the last then what about the other ghosts? I felt bad for the family actually, what they did to SW was amazing but they just left so abruptly. And what about YR wanting to live again? Are they just gonna fast tracked everything? Hopefully not cause there are a lot of unresolved things. Plus I want YR to live as well cause her dying again would be too much for everyone especially her mom! It’ll be bad for everyone’s mental health (same with the viewers! Lol) i just wish they will give everyone’s story justice and give YR her life back (be it with GW or not).

    and as much as i love this drama, i feel so bad for Kim Taehee! She’s freaking beautiful but there’s no episode that she wasn’t crying! Hahahahaha give her a break directornim :joy:

    I'm rewatching Hospital Playlist for the third time this weekend. Heh. Honestly, I actually went back just to check if I could somehow get some subtle hints embedded about Songhwa and Junwan but ended up digging someone else's. Lol. I know I said there were subtle hints of Songhwa and Jungwon in terms of optics but now that I am going back with more consciousness on the scenes, man there are loads of it. I know the Reply Team are very meticulous and specific about their script all the way to their props but hey, I could be over-analyzing them too. Optics can be a double-edged sword, it could be either a foreshadowing (hint) or a dud (confusion) since it's not as conducive as dialogues. With the runners of the show, it's always layered, they scatter their hints, subtle but there. And although, it could be coincidental, the frequency is really just way too high to be ignored.

    I'll be honest in terms of optics and subtle hints, Jungwon and Songhwa are always there but they don't have a dialogue which is why I'm hesitant to share all the small details I have picked up so far. My brain has started to dissect scenes and subtle hints embedded in their dialogue, songs and optics (the pursuit of trying to find connection between Junwan and Songhwa ended with Jungwon and Songhwa) Lol. I've got two relevant subtle hints about them (one is the couple mug I have posted) and here's the other,

    I mean, what a coincidence. I posted this before too. This was Jungwon's hand during the Marathon Run and this was Songhwa's in the preview. It looks way too correlated to me, some sort of foreshadowing. They've put such emphasis on both of their hands. It was indeed a foreshadowing for Songhwa's current situation, Jungwon ran for a breast cancer marathon and now we have Songhwa in her impending storm, maybe there's a deeper connection or maybe none. Lol.

    And this was actually Songhwa and Jungwon's first two-shot and it reminded me of this,

    I used to think that Jungwon is probably the last person to get involved with Songhwa but after everything I've picked up so far (I'll share them later if they end up together), he might be in the front line from the start. We know how sly Shin-PD can get. Lol. Like I mentioned, this couple is on the minority and their fans are really mentioning their story is just waiting to be told and I can't wait to find out if this all leads somewhere. At this point, if Songhwa and Jungwon is indeed the end game. Then, man. The creators are really just so meticulous and damn detailed. They're nowhere (in dialogue) but everywhere (in hints).

    Anyhow, I guess for the few count of shippers of Jungwon and Songhwa, there's still lots of hope (at least, as compared to Junwan x Songhwa)

    Have you notice their promotional pictures as well? JWon and SH seems to have this subtle look with each other all the time whenever they’re not close together.

    Am i the only one that ships Jeong Won and Song Hwa? I was drawn to them since the first episode but not much interactions were being shown. Jeong Won kinda feels like Taek for me who some of us actually didn't expect to be a possible love interest for the female lead. No offense meant but i don't really like Gyeo Ul for Jeong Won✌.

    Same! You’re not the only one :joy:. I feel like only a handful of us actually ships them and that’s sad. Hahahahha i just want chilbong (lol) to have the girl this time.

    @Day I haven't paid much attention to see who has blamed her aka Dr Jang  I am speaking generally now. This is a hospital drama.

    A child who comes in from a fall especially an unwitnessed fall gets something called  a head to toe examination. If it's a bad fall then there is something called a primary survey before it.

    Anyway a head to toe is literally a head to toe. Are you ok? Does your head hurt? Then examine the part. A child is usually an unrealiable historian especially if you're inexperienced in assessment. An unwitnessed fall from a child with a right arm pain ( distracting injury ) and chest pain ( palpated ) but not exposed is a bad medical examination. And emergency doctors- not her obviously- but anyone dealing with paediatric patients always have to exclude non- accidental injuries. If you think everyone thinks all parents or carers are " safe and innocent" they haven't been working long enough.

    Now that's why Dr Jang is a bad doctor. No one orders a chest x-ray without looking, auscultating and palpating. Basic, basic assessment. More focused examination in the context of unwitnessed fall, chest pain especially lower chest region- should exclude liver injuries.

    That is Dr Romantic 2 level. Then there is the usual Kdrama level- no one ever strips the patients. Never. Lol. This was easy compared to what I have been reading all week about something else.

    That's why Dr Jang was negligent. No one does a secondary survey especially with chest pain without exposure. Put that on with lack of empathy it compounds the problem. And actually for a surgical trainee she is not aggressive enough. Surgeons are arrogant about their skills normally. General surgeons are to a certain extent but you hardly ever get a quiet general surgeon. You won't survive and will be eaten alive.

    And also she is not a junior resident and should know better. Since she would be teaching juniors. Her speed walking, working etc is slow. Picking maggots? Pfft. It's not as they wouldn't have read about it. And oh yes just for reference- submerge the whole leg in a bucket of water and the maggots will float off. Then get to actually examining the leg. Have I grossed you guys out? Sorry.

    Even interns- well real life ones not Kdrama ones- would have done better than Dr Jang. I mean the majority of new interns. Definitely not Kdrama interns. Hahaha.

    Bye guys. I just came for spoilers. Going back to my sci fiction book now. @Day sorry. I am a hard taskmaster and don't take sloppiness well.

    I agree with you. Surgery is not for faint hearted or slow poke people. My sister is a surgeon, and she told us from the very beginning how it is a warzone for them especially for female surgeons (In real life there is really discrimination for female surgeons, that’s why mostly men are surgeons) You have to be tough to be in the surgery department. That’s why I wasn’t impressed with Dr. Jang’s performance as a doctor as well, her representation is just to out of reality for me (I get that it’s a drama) but anyways hopefully her character would grow.

  9. I really can’t get enough of yuri and minjeong scenes, they’re too cute together hahahaha. Both are really good moms that you can’t just help but to stan them! I feel pity for both. Can we have more scenes of them please? I don’t mind having less scenes of GH! Loool. Anyway what’s up with the north korean spy? (For those who can get this hahaha) :joy:

    idk does anyone else think minjung wants a divorce because she just doesn't feel belonged in the family? :/ i mean she's always the "stepmum" and the other mums keep gossiping about how weird her step daughter is. she brings seowoo to the academic kindergarten and they pointed out that perhaps she isn't doing enough to develop seowoo's social skills and thus seowoo is perceived as weird. kang hwa doesn't depend on her like people would expect normal husbands do their wives. i just feel so sad for her because i feel like she came into this because she loved kang hwa so much she gave up everything including her job to be with him and seowoo but for 2-3years she just felt like a poor substitute for yuri... argh it's so complicated ;A; yuri is holding back so much she definitely wants to be with her family again but i also feel for minjung ;A;;

    also lkh's crying scenes bro... i lost my eyeballs.

    i also wanna hug prof jang ;A;

    Yup i can also sense that MJ thinks she’s just a replacement, it was obvious she felt that way especially that GH basically doesn’t ask anything from her. I feel sad for both women, they both love GH and SW so it’s really hard to choose from either of them. But I’m pretty sure at the end of the drama, Yuri will choose to leave. She just need to cut all loose ends, and for everyone to heal from her passing. She would choose to leave because she knows that it’s the best for everyone, her time has already passed and everyone should move on as well. She will sacrifice her chance to live again as human for everyone sake.
