Sorry to cut short ur post, sometimes I think the writing in this show is just too good. Its not cringe or overly tragic, but it hits u just the same, perhaps even harder.

And it seems like ji won and hyun soo are always on the same page just that they themselves don't realize it.  For example when ji won says she will love him better from this moment on, teach him everything and love him so well it's as though she was lying, that was exactly what hyun soo ended up doing for her instead. In this scene, she says she wish he could feel how much she loves her so she won't feel wronged, we the viewer know that hyun soo feels the same way. I think hyun soo is practicing with YouTube videos, reading her expressions and wants because he is desperately to make her feel his love, as he thinks he cannot feel it himself and needs to over compensate. It's so heartbreaking when the writer writes it like this. Instead of the dialogue coming from hyun soo, it always comes unexpectedly from jiwon, although we as the viewer know that is exactly how he feels but he cannot express, and how precious it is to have someone express it for him. While it seems he is always the one doing the giving, ji won is also reciprocating in her own ways.

My opinion is the SERIAL KILLER IS REAL BAEK HAE SUNG i can see it from the eyes. But that time he must be young like DO HAE SUN AND DO HYUN SU.  it must be because his parents too perfect raise him so he stressed. Remember when Baek Hae Sung mom told Baek Eun Ha to not doing math book because it makes you crazy. I think REAL BAEK HAE SUNG is like that.

I think so too. I think he was on his way to meet hae soo that night as she was the only lose end (she saw his face). He was on his way to kidnap the sister, but ended up with the brother instead. If he had gotten the sister, his plan to frame hyun soo for the whole thing would have been complete. (no one else would have seen the accomplice besides the ahjumma and no one else would have confessed to the killing of the foreman).

  4. anyway why is no one talking about the scene where

    Spoiler

ji won asks hyun soo desperately if he wanted her to quit her job as a policewoman. He replies that he would never want her to do that as he remembered how happy she was when she passed her police certification.

ommo he is too good of a husband.. i want to cradle his face like the gangster in that employment agency scene

I agree with @sal2, from my full understanding, she's saying something around like he needs to be kept away from the police and all, so her saying him to stay away from her too might be a way to protect him.

I hope you're right about the two scenes being different but it looks like it's the same to me though. Let me be wrong on that one because my heart won't take probably take that :sad1:

you guys are probably right.. she must be protecting him, if not it seems like her character is regressing..

I really am moved by Lee Joon Gi's acting, especially in this show. up till now he hasn't even shed a single tear yet but i find myself not being able to think about the plot from anything but his character's perspective. Today's bathroom scene was soo intense, i guess next week will be CRAZY. i feel traumatised already just looking at the previews.

If my Korean vocab is correct, at the end part of the preview for Ep. 11, Ji Won is telling Hyun Soo to never appear in front of her again .

I'm palpitating right now, idk if it's due to my health or because of the incoming episode

oh dear i don't think i can take it yah.. she already knew he is innocent, and that the tape belongs to his mother and yet she says this, she must also be very stressed but i guess there is a vicious streak in her character. Either that or detective Im or Choi gets injured next ep and she feels bad and lashes out at him for coming up with such a risky plan.

but anyway, if you look at the MV, there are 2 scenes involving this, one which takes place (either at the employment agency or at the police station) where jiwon tells hyun soo to never appear in front of her again, and there is also a reconciliation scene where they are in their house. I hope we get the latter in episode 11 cause i cannot wait for 12 to see them reconcile...

In the past couple of episodes i really feel for hyun soo yah.. the guy is impulsive and not exactly sane, but he really suffered too much. I can understand jiwon but she really was too hard on him. he deserves all the happiness and writer-nim? when can we get that please? i don't think i can take more scenes of this character suffering quietly.

  7. omg all this talk of organ trafficking

    Spoiler

somehow i think Hyun soo's heart problem is linked to this? will he get a new heart at the end of the series? or they are showing he has a heart problem because he was born with some heart defect and do min seok found out about this agency while trying to find a new heart for his son?

  8. not sure if it is really panic attacks... they are emphasizing it too much... and they have also been intentionally making the actor wear pale makeup a lot of the time. based on the preview, it seems like we're gonna end ep 11 with a full blown heart attack. Although I'm probably the one getting it. this drama is too tense..

    Spoiler

i guess hyun soo realized he was being tracked by ji won

the scene where ji won calls the doctor and screams at her.. broke my heart again. umma ya ...its the umma !!!

it seems like next episode hyun soo is gonna get it from his wife again. This guy can't catch a break

Was the person Hee Sung was supposed to meet Hae Soo? The way hee sung glanced at her was very creepy.

Maybe i was wrong about Moo Jin after all. I hope he don't die, didn't he kinda joined hyun soo on his mission ?

Did I miss something, did they specifically reveal that baek man woo was the accomplice? --> oh i missed the hand band scene

Was thinking of that too... they never mentioned anything about missing organs from the victims, so yeah, it's quite contradicting if we go with the organ trade theory. But we'll see... perhaps they deliberately didn't emphasize it yet.

I thought Hyun Soo deleted all of it too since he took the recorder from Moo Jin himself so idk how come there's still that conversation in that recording. It was when Moo Jin asked Hee Seong as Hyun Soo about Ji Won.

they did mention that nobody requested for autopsies or something.

  10. OK just watched a bit of it, it's actually unexpectedly funny?!

I laughed out loud when he asked moo Jin to make "einspannner" for ji won? RickRoll'D? How elaborate and extra can a husband be??!!

And the whole thing about wakignng moo Jin up to discuss about "kwantegi" (7 year itch), is LOL as well. Hyun soo is clearly both an expert and at the same time clueless at reading his wife. Why is his character so cute?!

But then I saw the unanswered messages and how they used to text each other photos of the sky and I'm like ok, am I crying or is it raining on my face.

  11. anyway i really think there is going to be a twist involving kim moo jin... there are so many weird things about his character when you think about it:

    Spoiler

    1) in one of the episodes moo jin tells the police that hyun soo has a scar on his forehead (this part was probably a lie) as he fell off a tractor and hit his head
    2) in the next episode he tells the village doctor that he was the one who fell from the tractor and cracked his head open

    3) what is in the video tape that hyun soo saw? what did he manage to film in the basement that was incriminating?
    4) in the scene where he stones hyun soo, he said hyun soo did something to his finger? what did he do?

    5) why didn't they show the scene where moo jin got further information about jung mi sook from the taxi driver who was in jail?
    6) because of no5), i dont think i can trust the information that he shared about the case (that mi sook was abducted after receiving a call from her husband saying he was in a hospital
    7) he mentioned that the victims all share a similarity, but this immediately cuts to a scene where the cops say there are no similarities among the victims? Was he the one who planted the idea of the employment agency in hae soo and hyun soo's mind? is the employment agency hence a red herring? or a trap to ensnare hyun soo?
    8) what happened to moo jin between 2002 and now is still a mystery, we dont know who he might have gotten acquainted with during this period.

i don't think he is the killer or the accomplice, but i feel he might be conspiring with someone else to get rid of Hyun soo.

Oh dear, so we're in for a sad ride in episode 9?

yeah.. it seemed ji won really let him have it this episode, i feel so bad for him and then for her later on. Lee Joon Gi was again so good this episode, you could tell that he was

    Spoiler

really hurt by Ji won's words and her actions (not wearing the ring, not replying to any of his messages. the scene at the end when ji won recaps all the unanswered messages was just heartbreaking. and his last message on her phone was somewhat out of character, but shows that he really loves her and is no way a psychopath). Also the way he reacted to her outburst was heartbreaking as well..how impatient he was to try to do something to make her happy. There is no way this man doesn't love ji won. Well at least he had his sister and moo jin to confide it. Then again, i might have misunderstood the dialogue, hahah.

Also, judging by the last scene, it seems like jiwon has finally decided to trust HS. I guess through that situation, she realized that there is reason why he is lying, and if she wanted the truth, she should believe him and protect him by not asking for it directly. In the phone call, even though he sounded angry and nonchalant, she remembered that he had asked for her trust years ago, and realized that he is lying because he was probably in a dangerous situation. In this instant she didn't ask him directly for the truth, but they went about helping and protecting each other in an indirect way. the writing is soo good, the amount of parallel story telling is as astonishing as it is artful.

However, i wanna cry again as uri hyunsoo will be in danger tomorrow! fighting hyunsoo ya!

  13. i can only understand about 40% of what they're saying, but it seems the dialogue and character work in this episode is really really good. Its not your typical melodrama where your characters act noble as RickRoll'D, but they have real weaknesses that normal people can relate to. The scene towards the end involving cha ji won left me in tears, it was unexpected but so relatable...i want to give her and dhs a big hug.

anyway, by matching the clothing, we are getting most of the scenes in the MV in tomorrow and next weeks episode:

    Spoiler

the scene where he runs in the park to meet her
the scene where his face is bloodied up and he looks confused

we still have 1 more episode left this week, but i am already dreading next week where we only get 1, and i am sure the cliffhanger will be unbearable....
