    It's already past 5 a.m. I will share my review on the finale and overall drama later after I have been deeply analyzing and organizing my thoughts.


    However, I am impressed with the final scene that shows the briefing about academic coaching and Kim Joo Young (the real one or metaphorical figure). The world still runs like usual. The main family in the drama may change, but it does not mean everything has changed. We should not expect changes occur drastically just because of a drama, book or figure. What matters is our beliefs and manifestation in our social circle. Changes begin with ourselves, then our family and friends. We have to keep our idealism for bigger picture of change in society, but at the same time being realistic in order to survive in this challenging world.

    It was revealed during Happy Together "Children of Castle special" broadcast yesterday about this.

    Kim Bo-Ra accidentally said that Hye-na is not Kwak Mi Hyang's daughter, after being asked by the hosts. Jun Hyun Moo asked, "Is it really not the case?" and she replied, "Yes. Can I say this?".

     

    She comments that although she knew it is not the case, she said that she thinks that the theory actually seems plausible.

    The most touching scene in this episode for me is Woo-Joo's outburst when Seo Jin and Joon Sang came to apologize. His dad wisely advises him to just do whatever feels right for him and do what his heart tells him.

     

    I am quite surprised when Joo Young asked Seo Jin at the end whether she is sure that she will not regret it, then asking "do you think you had nothing to do with her death?". What a final cliffhanger and preview/epilogue, then we will have to wait for about a week before final episode.

     

    We have been shown that it is extremely difficult for people to change. We can reflect it to ourselves for other traits and characters. Some of us may hope that Prof. Cha will change and re-unite with his family. Personally, whether it is going to happen or not, it is more important for us to learn about it. Hopefully the finale will be strong to convey its messages and leave deep and long-lasting impression to the viewers.

    p/s: Since Korean team has lost to Qatar in quarter-final match, then final episode may be broadcast on Friday. Edit: Epilogue/preview on JTBC's youtube page stated that it will air on Friday, Feb 1.

    Final episode of “SKY Castle” to be broadcast next week due to AFC Asian Cup match

     

    Changes have been announced in the broadcasting schedule for the final two episodes of “SKY Castle.”

     

    Previously, episode 19 was scheduled to air on January 25, and the finale was scheduled to air on January 26.

     

    However, changes have been made due to the 2019 AFC Asian Cup, which JTBC has exclusive coverage rights for in Korea.

     

    On January 22, Korea won 2:1 in the round of 16 against Bahrain. As a result, the team will be advancing to the quarterfinals, and the next match against Qatar will be on January 25 at 10 p.m. KST.

     

    As “SKY Castle” begins at 11 p.m. KST, it will be unable to air on January 25. Episode 19 will now air on January 26.

     

    The air date of the finale will be on February 1 or 2, depending on the Korean team’s performance in the upcoming rounds. If the Korean team advances to the final scheduled on Feb 1, "SKY Castle” finale will be broadcast on February 2.

    "Until when you will be obsessed with what people think of you?" is the highlight of episode 18 for me.

     

    I think Joon Sang made the best choice to resign and advise Seo Jin to make a choice whether to reveal the truth and keep their pride or keep being greedy instead of revealing it himself.

     

    It is annoying when Prof Cha demands Seung Hye to write 10 A4 pages apology letter with font 11, but she is wise to take it as her regret to think that broken people can be fixed and changed.

     

    Joon Sang's mom and him are the only ones who are blind and crazy about position and status, but the former show her realization of what her son want when he said "Can I just be your son?" while the latter first reaction to the his wife's letter is "Mid-term exams is just around the corner, so they can't waste time even for a second".

     

    As much as I dislike Seo Jin, I can see her inner conflicts, and hence she realizes about his husband's advice that Ye Suh and her life are different. Do Ye Suh actually really want to get enrolled into SNU herself or she is no different from her dad's conditioning? Do Seo Jin want her daughter to be admitted really because of Ye Suh's future or is it because of her greedy? Even if it is latter, she was groomed to become like that by Joon Sang and his mom, like what he said that they both have been living wrongly.

     

    That's why this is the cliffhanger as she is handed with the mid-term exams paper, what is her choice? Will she choose to stop and cure this long-lasting cycle of disease in society from her family or to justify her situation as a victim and don't think it is something worth to do? After all, she comes from so-called "low class" people, hence her choice is major arc of the story. 

     

    Argh, counting days before next episode come. Also, it will be final week already!

    Started watching this two days ago and already caught up to episode 17. Really good one to replace Children of Nobody. The good thing with this drama is the comedic relief of Prof Cha and Dr. Woo's family, hence it is not too dark and depressing.

    Hello, everyone! First time commenting in this thread. Has been in drama slump for about 2 months, since end of Forest of Secrets. Finally this drama managed to attract me.

    It is enjoying ride so far for the first half, hopefully it will keep this momentum until the end. Nice to see thriller, comedy, legal and romance aspects quite balanced in this drama. It really gives me vibes of I Hear Your Voice and Pinocchio mixed.

    I have read lots of comments here and other sites about what Woo Tak's secret could be, but I don't think it is really a big matter(at least for the time being). Still, his background and character has mysterious side(s).

    English subs for the finale has been released.

    It is such an amazing and lovely ending. I couldn't help but my tears dropped. surprisingly at the same time as Tae Min's tears dropped. haha. I like KSY's acting at that moment. Of course, YAI, GKP and ISJ are great too!

    Love to read comments and thoughts from all of you, even though I was not able to read all. Good journey together for past two months.

    I would like to write more, but quite tired, maybe later. huhu.

    English subs episode 15 has been released,

    I like this episode covers the past most. The inner conflict of characters really makes me ponder and reflect a lot about my own life, instead of just judging them. It is such a big sacrifice for those who struggled a lot for their nation's independence. but we have a big responsibility to maintain it.

    Love to read thoughts and comments by all of you here.

    It is great development in both timeline of 1930s and present. It is scary though when blood appears in the pocket watch after YJO touched it, and heartbreaking as he is the one who found the answer, instead of JS (Even though there is still possibility other person killed him, or there was misunderstanding or something else happened that we do not know yet). By the way, looking forward the remaining four episodes!

    p/s: I am quite busy these days. I usually stay up in the midnight to wait for subs to be released, then be offline. So there were some friends here send me PM about the link of subs but I replied late. Hence, if there are still chingus here who usually want to watch as soon as subs released but do not know the link of site that I usually share, you may send me PM in advance to avoid I respond late to your PM when subs released for upcoming episodes.

    I think there is error in Soompi's article translation. I tried to translate this sentence(from the source of Soompi's article): "이는 현재 방송 중인 ‘시카고 타자기’ 후속 ‘비밀의 숲’부터 적용될 예정" and what I understand is "It will be applied from the successor of currently broadcasting Chicago typewriter, Forest of Secret".

    Even article on dramabeans stated: "The first tvN drama to be affected by this scheduling change will be Forest of Secrets"
