I don't think KYJ bears all of this responsibility.  Even if an older actress was casted as Ra On, I don't see PBG filming this type of intimate scene just yet.  This graphic from the novel would even be too intimate for a regular network to air.  Also, it was dubbed as a youth romance from the beginning so even without YJ, the series would be tamed compared to the novel.

I'll be contented iif Yeong will let Raon's hair down and kiss her and the rest is for the viewer's imagination. Oh how I love this OTP to the max.

I think KYJ deserves so much praise acting this scene to perfection. Having lived all her life as Hong Samnom (“nom” itself means guy, dude in Korean) you could see how strange she thought her name sounded pronounced by herself to introduce herself to another person. Like she was thinking “but who is this Raon person? Doesn’t the name sound awkward, even ugly? Does this person really exist?” But when the CP called her “Raon-ah” so lovingly, all her doubts were gone and she felt for the first time how sweet her name sounded and how lovable this girl called Raon was.

I love that our leads respond to each other’s facial expressions, not just the words they say. It’s part of what makes me feel so much along with them. After Ra-on told him her name, you could see her nerves and uncertainty over appearing as a girl before him cloud her expression. I love that I could see Yeong taking note of all this, and that moment of dawning understanding before he came out with just the right thing to say: her name, intimately. Ahhh, just perfect.

I have a few korean acquaintance here and they are also watching MDBC because they said this drama is unique, a drama that gives you a modern vibe in a sageuk setting. I don't care what other people think, watching MDBC is my happiness right now. YeongOn couple fighting!

I really love reading your post. It seems to me that we’re feeling the same way with this OTP. Every word you said describing their acting and their heavenly-like chemistry.

Let me share with you how this couple and MDBC impacted my daily routine.

Every morning while preparing breakfast for my daughters, my laptop is also in the kitchen. I have to check this forum every now and then or else my day will not be complete. When it’s time dropping off my kids to school, I made sure that my cell phone is ready as well as my Bluetooth so that while driving I can listen to the MDBC OST. Oh how I love all the OST in this drama. The same thing goes when it’s time pick them up from school. Of course my kids were complaining telling me that I’m acting like a teenager, and I’m proud to say yes I think I am ha ha ha. I even told them that I want KYJ to be my daughter and PBG to be my son-in-law. Oh if you could only see how they rolled their eyes.

So here I am in front of my laptop patiently waiting for the preview. I missed my two puppies already,

@JilliaI have enjoyed your insight on Lee Yeong's character. It takes a lot of effort to do this so I'm giving you a big thumbs up! I can't wait for Raon's. 

@dramafansg I agree with you. I don't find it slow either. I love every scene especially the OTP, I can't stop giggling and be happy with their interactions. The only thing I felt  lacking is when YS confessed his love for Raon to CP. I think it would have been better if they showed us what CP feels about it aside from his jealous stare.

You are both very lucky to have each other on your first big leading roles. My ultimate wish for you is to star in a drama with PBG again when you're a bit older.

Boring drama? This is a big "NO". I love everything about Moonlight. How can someone say it's boring when I'm having a hard time moving on each episode. I have been re-watching episode 9-10 for more than a couple of times already.

@yuuinokokoroLove your post. This amazing girl deserves to be praised as much as PBG. She is the reason why I started watching MDBC. She never fails to show the right emotions in every episode and I am so proud of her especially after watching the dance scene. I can't imagine anyone else doing that scene as elegant and as mesmerizing the way KYJ does it. Anyway, I'm so excited for the next episode. MDBC fighting!

While I was re-watching all the videos of MDBC in you tube, I saw this interview to all of the cast. When PBG was ask how is he alike with Prince Lee Yeong, he said “I am also friendly towards the woman that I like."

I think their height difference is somewhat similar to the novel and I find it adorable too. My only concern is that Yoojung must be having a hard time coz she needs to always look up whenever she has a scene with PBG. If only this is a modern drama wherein she can wear high heels. But nevertheless, PBG and KYJ are nailing their roles. Kudos to these 2 young brilliant actors.

How can a simple kiss (if you can call it that way) brings happiness to many. Only our OTP's chemistry can do that. I can't stop smiling after watching episode 7. So happy for Yoojung and Bogum for reaching the 20.4% rating. Wish I could go to Korea for the fan signing event.
