@JilliaCongrats on your new blog. I just realize Yoon Soo gets to wear unique costumes while HY gets to wear beautiful hair accessories. Love the dwikoji she worn in ep 9. Can't wait for Raon wearing beautiful hanbok while her hair is neatly braided with dwikoji.

I think Park Bo Gum is professional and he also knows what resonates with the fans. So I think as well he kinda slipped back in his Taek mannerism. He is by no means calculating it's just something a good actor does. And he was accepting an award and the MCs kinda pressured him into interacting with the cast of Reply 1988, especially Hyeri. Sensible as he is he played along and Hyeri as well. So all is good.

As for reasons why I watched MDBC:
I heard about MDBC when Bogum was announced as the male lead. I got curious a bit because I find him so handsome in Reply but not enough to be an avid fan then.. There were rumors about his possible leading ladies in the drama but none of them got my attention.
Then came the announcement that KYJ is going to be his leading lady. Since KYJ is in, I’m already 100% on board. Little did I know that I am going to fall hard on these two cute puppies as an OTP. I don’t know how to describe it, they’re just so amazing on and off screen. One of a kind chemistry rarely seen in Kdramas. They compliment each other’s visual and acting. I have known KJY for her exceptional acting since she was a child actress and here in MDBC, she never fails to deliver. KYJ is Raon and Raon is KYJ. Can’t wait to see her in a beautiful hanbok. With PBG, I have not seen his other works yet aside from Reply. But I believe PBG nailed his role as a crown prince and for me he is the most handsome CP in Kdramaland.
Great acting too from supporting roles most especially Jinyoung. Best script, OST, cinematography, directing. Need much to say, I love everything about MDBC.

You made me laugh here @iheartyoojungMe too, if it's a sad ending or open ending, I will boycott all PDnims future dramas. I want happy ending please. I want to remember MDBC as my ultimate drama ever in Kdramas. Thanks to PBG and KJY's insanely-good on and off screen chemistry, OST that allows me to enjoy even though I don't understand the lyrics ha ha. And of course not to forget all the supporting actors especially Jinyoung a.k.a Yoon Sung who is a revelation in this drama.
Hope BY will be seen in the upcoming episodes (miss his hair)
Btw, CP's bodyguard should always accompany him right? In TMETS, Kim So Hyun's bodyguard always with him, in and outside the palace even in the bathtub sceneSadly it's not the same here

Love your post here most especially the last part@JilliaI don't really know what kind of crown princess Ha Yeon will be in the next episodes but so far I am not into her character. I don't consider her actions as a Saint or selfless as the other poster mentioned here awhile back. She has an ulterior motive when she decided to give in to a loveless marriage and that is to be close to the CP and it's very clear that she's hoping to be loved one day. And I am not convinced her love as true love yet (blame it on the late introduction of her character).

About the ending, I am pretty sure it will not be a sad ending but I'll be disappointed as well if it's an open ending. I would like to think that MDBC will continue to be the best drama ever up to the end.

Concur and agree! We are fortunate that while both PBG and KYJ have different approach to acting, they both complement and match each other wonderfully well. In fact, I may go so far as to say that they even amplify and magnify each other’s vibes so that emotions are heightened even more and we get so many FEELS from their scenes together! Whee!I truly believe that in the hands of a different set of actors and actresses, we would not love Moonlight or be so absorbed in it as much as we are now. Hee hee…
And of course, the director and the production team must be given serious major props in how they tell the story, but since we are discussing acting ability here, I thought I’d focus on that.

I would think the same @moodypieConsidering the fact how she tried to get close to CP to get his attention in earlier episodes. She probably think that she can change Yeong's heart in the future. I am not sure if this will be the same case once she became aware of how much Yeong and Raon love each other.

For me, MDBC is a drama that I will never forget. Aside from the oozing chemistry of KYJ and PBG, this drama as a whole brings me happiness. I really don't know how to explain but this is the first time in a kdrama, I have re-watched from ep 1 to ep12 multiple times and yet the feeling I get after watching each ep is like when I've watched it the first time. Re-watching sure made me cry and laugh over and over again.
@pyoyongThank you for creating "soompi heaven". You're so talented and funny. I will try again and again just to get CP.

I don't understand the hate either. I asked the same question awhile ago but no one gave a "specific" "realistic" answer. Episode 15 is brilliant in all aspects and I don't get it how such a meaningful scene perfectly portrayed by PBG and KYJ became the source of hate for Raon's character. One should see the bigger picture to analyze what's the writer is trying to deliver about Yeong and Raon's unconditional love.
