However, in this case LL & SR are not related. It would be immoral if LL and Seol Ah tried to get together. SR is not part of LL's family whether by blood or adoption.
It's obvious that the case of LL, SR and Seol Ah isn't that simple (some people are still very much concerned about the fact that SR was the mom of LL's adoptive sister's), therefore writer nim chose a safer router and changed the relationship between SR and Seol Ah so people don't have to argue about LogSuryeon anymore.

This is KSO's show, so SSR's real child must be the one who can stir up the drama for all sides.
SK was already used as a "surprise" twist (of not being SSR's biological kid) in season 1
BRN was already used as a "surprise" twist (of being HYC's biological kid) in season 2
Therefore the real child needs to be someone else, or could be a new character1 hour ago, Secretz said:Rather than BRN, I feel like SK is her biological daughter.
I knew that what NAG said in S2 E11 (before she died) was a foreshadow.
"You're their real mother, after all"
Plus, it's another love interest available for SH, just for extra drama.
I don't think SH is her biological child as well because LL said real descendant.
Either way, I'm fine with anyone but BRN.
Yeah NAG said that because SSR was being their mother all the time while NAG didn't do anything besides giving birth to them, it's just a metaphorical way of saying. Some cultures value adoptive relationships too and not just biological ones.

SBS just posted this deleted scene of Rona and Seok Hoon
The reason why Seok Hoon didn't tell SK about his "plan" of studying abroad with Rona was because our lover boy suddenly pulled that idea out of his *** in one second after he saw how exhausted Rona was, he was so whipped he only wanted to be with his gf during his adulthood- 1

It's confirmed by SBS that Hye In will comeback for season 3. I wonder whether SK could completely lose her sanity when she finds out her mom has another favorite daughter who is still alive.
And not to mention that daughter is also a heiress of that empire too.

SK outrightly hates Rona and JDT threatens to kill OYH and RN in front of HYC in prison.

I'm watching the livestream and Jesus Christ, SK is jealous of Rona because both SH and SSR are so kind to RN and care about her a lot, what the...

I don't think SK will go that far. Maybe for a while she will make a wrong choice but in the end she will realised it based on her love to her mother and brother. Maybe she will make a big sacrifice for them later as a punishment on what she has done to other people she has hurt.
This is makjang drama, every character tends to cross the line. SK might not target Rona purposefully but her greed and ego will indirectly do a lot of damage to the good side. Hurting Rona is like hurting SSR, SH and OYH so it's very likely that JDT will try to do some harmful things to Rona (for the sake of his daughter SK).

I've just noticed that in the trailer, SK also said she wanted to attend Seoul university and she begged JDT to "get rid of someone for her" so she could have a slot. My easy guess is JDT might try to kill Rona again and SH goes absolutely ape sh** crazy on both his spoiled brat sister and his father
-
As I expected, our lover boy will do something controversial in season 3, but at least this time he did it right lmao.
That spoiled brat SK is so ungrateful and hypocritical. This is already season 3 and SK still couldn't choose whether she should trust SSR as her mom or not. SK is becoming an adult anw so I guess this is the best time for her to move the eff out of the penthouse. It will be so much better if she has to fend for herself like MSA in season 1.- 1

Just saw these things on twitter
Ha Yoon Chul fell down the pond under the Hera statue (his figure in the opening suffered the same fate)
Logan's figure look slike SSR broken figure in penthouse s2 opening. It seems like he got heavily injured with broken legs, disfigured face and lost his hair

I’ve spent this entire show hating Seok-Hoon, maybe my opinion will change soon.Honestly, I doubt it, this is a makjang drama and the characters tend to do utterly dramatic and questionable choices (even our angelic MSA did selfish things that served her benefit). If writer-nim truly gave SH room to grow, then he wouldn't be just a simple lover boy like the other lover boys in melodramas.

Every character looks so serious but I'm pretty sure that SSR only turns vengeful toward bad guys while Seok Hoon just acts like a typical K-lover boy in K-drama (becomes more possessive about his Rona).
I don't know why on Twitter everyone suddenly is panic and they think SSR and SH become evil or something in season 3, lol

Some things that I wish or predict will happen for Season 3 :
CSJ's stepmother and stepsister needs to go down the flames as well, CSJ is the devil but her stepmother and stepsister is equally as bad. I think they will face similar ends as CSJ's father (killed by CSJ again, maybe?) or having all their possessions taken off. I really wanted a satisfying conclusions to the Cheong Ah's saga, but it seems won't end pretty.
Dr Ha is such a weak character, like he betrayed OYH in both seasons! All the revenge effort he set up went down the drain when he betrays OYH and turns his back at RN. I don't get how people are still shipping Yoon-Yoon, it baffled me. But I feel like he would sacrificed himself for EB/CSJ somehow in the last season (?)
Since that nanny is our resident Kang Hee, will she be responsible to more heinous crimes as well just like Kang Hee? (ie. murdering MSA?) but here we have our previous resident housemaid doing big crimes as well (killing SSR / NAG)... this series love its psycho housemaid/nannies trope so much that it have to bring them up twice.
At this point, JDT is beyond redeemable that I can only think of put an end to him is by an epic life and death finale fight in season 3, with him vs SSR (or OYH) and probably his kids as well, since both of them now despise him too. We already see prison & life sentence does not work for him; he has moles everywhere and can easily bypass it.
In this area, JDT (and some members of Hera gang) is way worse than Kang Hee and Empress dowager was in TLE - both of them practically finished after they got their sentence. JDT does not. Will season 3's main plotline be Hera gang's revenge to SSR and OYH? Because to be honest, I don't see JDT, CSJ, and especially that lawyer repenting for their sins. Jenny's mom also turns out to be worse that we thought in season 2 - all she cared is Jenny being bullied. Her husband is yet to see, but he also seems to hid evil intentions ...
Finally, for the series itself : more deaths.
I sounds bloodthirsty here lol but after seeing season 2 and all the resurrection plot fiasco, it seems that writer-nim somehow trying to ponder to all the viewer's ships and pairings, which to be honest for me sacrificed the tensions that been building since season 1 a lot.
I'm watching this show with GOT-like lens in mind, which means I expected lots of blood, death, and betrayal, because that's exactly what writer-nim has set up since episode 1 (since the first 3 minutes intro, even). If I want to watch pairings and romantic ships, I'd watch other show like Startup or True Beauty, but not this show ... So imagine how disappointed I am when I see they resurrect Rona after seeing her head stuck by the trophy and her oxygen tank being cut off, just to serve shipping fan's purposes
But the problem is you can't expect Korean national public TV network to air a bloodbath-gruesome-GOT-like show. Besides KSO's shows have the same and recognizable pattern and even the characters of this show share similar traits and personality with the characters of KSO's previous shows. And as the others said, basically, Penthouse is just The World of the Married and Sky Castle on Steroid, it gains fame and attention because it's makjang-esque, overdramatic and ridiculous.

I believe Logan is really dead. The actor has already moved on to an another drama. It is parallel to Na Wang Shik's death but sadly his death happened after the actor left the show. I think if Logan's actor left the show for good, it was good that they killed him when he still available to film. You don't want another incident similar to The Last Empress.
I haven't heard anything about PES's new project, but in the hidden room episode that was aired last night, he looks excited and he wants his character to take revenge on those who betrayed him tho

Yunno, now that I think about it, I wish Ro Na had stayed dead. She's still annoying. But it was funny how she scared Eun Byul, so I'll give her that.
I think out of all the kids, I like Jenny. If anyone reformed, had some character development and depth, and genuinely stuck to her new principles, it was her. At the end, she never said she was going to attack RoNa, just that they were not going to be friends under the circumstances and that she was angry because yeah, it started with YH's killing MSA, didn't it? YH did what her inner devil told her to. Drunk is always just an excuse. So, I hope Jenny doesn't suffer SK being stupid.
What did you mean exactly when you said "Ro Na is still annoying"? she only had a few minutes of screen times and her notable scene was when she made a tribute at SA tombstone. She didn't even threw a tantrum at anyone like like SK, Je Ni and MH Are you implying that confronting a psychopath murderer like EB is annoying?

lol, it seems like everyone is wondering when will SK get her punishment, I just checked Namuwiki to see if I've missed something but even Namuwiki is wondering why SK didn't show any remorse and they even wrote that "reconciling with the love of her brother's life/her former enemy aka. Rona" isn't considered as a redemption lmao

KSO's shows were always dramatic, it's not something new for the Korean audience because they have a lot of dramatic shows already, but speaking of this show individually, all data confirmed that word-buzz was mostly about shipping couples (LogSuryeon and SeokRona) and even SBS was aware of it. The shipping drama between 2 main male characters of The last empress was mentioned in the TLE old thread on this forum. If you don't believe me you can take a look at that thread.
My friends, if you look back at the previous pages of this thread, you will see countless posters who said they're tired of fake death and they insisted Rona was dead, etc... and the other side who thought Rona might survive insisted that ...Logan would save Rona somehow. How PES coming back to this show is the hook to get people to watch season 3, so it's won't be easy to guess.

PES has great on-screen chemistry with LJA so I think PES will eventually reprise his role. Both them and the teen couple SH/RN are the driving force that helps to boost this show's ratings.
I remember that writer nim was forced into shifting Lee Hyuk (SSR) as the male lead because he had great chemistry with Jang Na Ra and the audience shipped the emperor/empress couple (Na Wang Sik was supposed to be the male lead who would get the female lead in that show). I don't think writer nim, SBS and investors want to sacrifice their ratings. It's obvious to me that Logan won't die but I haven't figured out the way that writer nim would use to bring PES-Logan back yet. -
Don't be scared guys, remember how writernim's The Last Empress ended, even though the male lead was a goner, he still had a doppelganger who was very interested in the female lead and would pursue her, lolll

I don't know what kind of person SH will become at the end of season 3, but at this point, it's obvious that SH isn't a pure angel like his adoptive mom SR, he was willing to commit patricide when he found out that DT tried to murder RN but failed. SH leans into the grey character category since he'd rather choose to side with his adoptive mom (the good side).
Personally, I think calling RN a brat is a bit exaggerated since I'm working at a middle school and I've seen a lot of kids who act far worse than RN. I think RN is just a kid with a simple mind, she even cared about EunByeol's wellbeing which led to RN getting harm, while MSA could lie and manipulate the situation (like recorded DT/SJ's affairs tape) to get what she wanted, but she's got too cocky which resulted in her death. SA should have waited for Logan instead of threatening the rich herself. Perhaps because MSA died so soon, people have a fond memory of her.
Since this is a makjang drama, you need a mary sue female lead who acts like the holy mother, so I understand what kind of character SR is, I doubt that SR would ever want to take revenge on the twins who abused her biological daughter. And sending the enemies to prison is always the best choice for the type of character like SR.- 6

It's weird that so many people are freaking out about YH dying. She ain't dead so stop freaking out. I still can't believe she's the only one who didn't know about RN being alive. Turn on your effing phone and tv for god's sakes!
As for Logan and SR's love line, they had such a good built up in season 1 but their season 2 love line felt off and rushed. The writer probably found out about the shippers and threw in the kiss scene last minute. For a while now, I knew that Logan had feelings for SR because you can feel the longing he had for her but I still felt like they should have rebuilt what they had in season 1 first. After all these years, this writer still sucks at writing romance. And I don't think Logan's gonna be a villain. I think he's gonna die just because he's not a main character and his death would definitely push the plot forward.
Jesus christ that nanny is creepy. She most likely lost her own daughter in the past and desperately wants any girl to be her daughter. It's such a random sub plot because I know what the writer is trying to do here. Trying to make us feel bad and root for SeoJin, YoonChul, and Eunbyul because the nanny will definitely try to tear them apart. What do you guys think of this?
The writer clarifies that SeoJin is the ultimate villain so she won't ever feel remorse for what she did to SR/YH, but yeah, I have the same feeling that the writer probably will use that creepy nanny to redeem YoonChul, so the YoonYoon couple can be reconciled and take care of their 2 daughters together. There are many shippers out there who ship YoonYoon, so I think the writer is trying to bring them together in an unexpected way because... third time is a charm?- 1

No, the law insists that no matter what kind of the relationship is (adoptive or biological, estranged siblings or grew up together), family is family, you can't have a romantic relationship with family members. But some will still excuse that from the scientific point of view, their DNA isn't the same, therefore they can marry and have children.
And Why do we need to keep arguing about whether LLxSR is incest or not when KSO already decided to get rid of that doubt and MSA isn't SR's real child anymore?
It's TRUE that there were people, even on this forum, who kept pointing out that it's weird to ship LL with his adoptive sister's mother. KSO acknowledged it (that's why we had the police's monologue scene) and she solved that problem.
