Produced by H & Co and EnergeDic Company, “To My Star” was a hit BL (boys’ love) web drama that aired in the first half of 2021. It starred Son Woo Hyun as Kang Seo Joon, an actor who has fallen out of standard orbit, and Kim Kang Min as Han Ji Woo, a chef who doesn’t want to break from the established path. The web drama became a hit in Japan, Korea, China, and beyond and was even remade as a movie on Netflix. In addition to the explosive viewer response, the drama also garnered positive critical reviews. It has now been confirmed that director Hwang Da Seul will be returning to direct the second season, along with the rest of the production staff, which has built up significant experience in specifically the BL genre. To My Star Season 2 will begin filming in December and will arrive to various online streaming later next year.
First Season Synopsis:
Actor Kang Seo Joon (Son Woo Hyun) was once one of South Korea’s biggest and most popular stars, but his career is now in decline. But despite his fall in popularity, he believes he has had a change of fortune when he meets and falls for a dashing young chef named Han Ji Woo (Kim Kang Min). Despite having wildly different personalities, the two begin on a relationship. But their love comes under threat when the more conservative Han Ji Woo and the free-spirited Kang Seo Joon realize that their outlook on life, love, and everything else appears irrevocably different.

Season 2 Synopsis

SpoilerIn one set of stills, Park Joon Young looks lost without Chae Song Ah by his side. Before he met her, he had become used to emptying himself for other people, but she was the first one who taught him that it was okay to aspire to a more fulfilling love. At the same time, Park Joon Young appears shaken in front of the piano, as if considering if this is something he wants to continue to do.
SpoilerOn the other hand, in another set of stills, Chae Song Ah is devastated at the breakup but determined to forge ahead in her musical career. Both she and Park Joon Young mourn the loss of their relationship in their sleep and miss each other as they walk through the city alone.
However, Chae Song Ah channels her emotion into her audition for graduate school. She made the difficult decision to leave the chamber work she was doing with Lee Soo Kyung (Baek Ji Won), even though it would be difficult to get admitted to grad school without her patronage. As one of the judges, Lee Soo Kyung watches her with a sharp eye as Chae Song Ah prepares to play her piece.
The next episode of “Do You Like Brahms?” will air on October 19 at 10 p.m. KST.

Romance Drama “To My Star 2” Confirms Premiere Date
The second season of romance drama “To My Star” has confirmed its premiere date!
“To My Star” is a hit BL (boys’ love) web drama that first aired in 2021. It stars Son Woo Hyun as Kang Seo Joon, an actor who has fallen out of standard orbit, and Kim Kang Min as Han Ji Woo, a chef who doesn’t want to break from the established path.
After becoming a hit in Japan, Korea, China, and more, the web drama was remade as a Netflix movie and quickly renewed for a second season.
While Season 1 focused on Kang Seo Joon and Han Ji Woo overcoming their personal struggles and realizing their love for each other, this upcoming season will focus on Seo Joon and Ji Woo’s serious relationship. Although they are now confident in their feelings for one another, their newly official couple status also presents different types of conflict and Season 2 will showcase how they learn to overcome hardship together.
As the cast and crew from Season 1 will remain entirely the same, the second season will be able to perfectly continue the flow of the previous story. This includes not only the director and the leads Son Woo Hyun and Kim Kang Min, but also supporting cast members Jeon Jae Young, Newkidd’s Jin Kwon, Gong Jae Hyun, Han Ji Won, and more.
Additionally, the upcoming season will run three times longer than Season 1, which will allow for a more detailed and colorful representation of each character’s story. In the first season, the total run time for all nine episodes was 110 minutes, but Season 2 will run for nearly 300 minutes. Now that Seo Joon and Ji Woo’s romance has officially blossomed, viewers can look forward to seeing even more emotional and exciting scenes between the two.
“To My Star 2” will air starting June 5 at 12 p.m. KST and will be available with subtitles on Viki!
