  1. Hello again my sweet Joon Gi Addicts.  It's me again.  I can never stay away long.

I miss you all and am sorry I have been away.  LIfe tends to get in the way... (rats)

I especially miss you @ cedarwood...A big huggle from me! AND @pixelsticks  OMG the write up and the pic...AWESOME!   YOU have talent.

I am jumping in to say that while we all love our darling JG....we have got to get that man to gain some weight.  Yeah!, I can hear it now....he likes how he looks (or feels)  AND ....  Yeah, he has delicate bone structure...... but even though I'm small, he has taken it to another level. I think my arms are now bigger than his legs and I'm a mini person..

IF you're listening JG....PLEASE put on a few pounds.  I'm not asking you to weigh what you use to...but could 10 pounds hurt?  HUH?  GO ON ...you can do it...and if you're worried about your face being chubby try Kybella.... It isn't surgery but I understand it can keep your face thin...(can't speak from experience but it's a new procedure here in the states that freezes the fat or some such)

SO ANYWAY >>>>>JOON, IF YOU"RE READING THIS>>>>>... GAIN JUST A LITTLE WEIGHT>>>>> PLEASE

Again...LOVE to you all... I'll be back again.

  2. Hello my dear friends. It has been so long since I have posted but I keep dropping by periodically to see what you guys are doing. You are keeping things running well. Great comments!   Great PIcs! :D

I noticed that a bit of concern surrounds the list of credits for CM.  Worry Not!  Don't think of it as first place starring role vs second. This is an ensemble piece and it puts Joon exactly where he belongs....as one of a prestigious group of A list actors. Deference is given Son Hyun Joo being the senior...for age and length of his acting career.  That is how professionals see it!

@zi4r Thanks for your welcome. :)

I'm one of those unlucky closet JG fans and I hide my affection/ addiction/ admiration from my family, friends and colleagues. So I admire you - quite a lot. And I NEVER thought that I would EVER become a fan of an actor or post in a forum - yet here I am! B)

Welcome!   LJG is my first and only.  I too am in the closet so you are NOT alone.   I've been busy but always drop in here to be surrounded by the love and warmth. Check out the wreath project and join if you can!!

  4.

The man had a girlfriend and tried to keep his personal life private. OMG what a crime!!!!

I mean REALLY?? Is this“ cultural” guilt????? because the only error I can see that Joon has made is in the way he has reacted to this tempest in a teapot.  It only makes it look worse for him to act like he's guilty of something when he's not.   He needs to get his cute tush out there and ignore the haters. Criminal minds!!! Yay Angels Keep fighting!

  5. Terms of employment between employer and employee are in contrast to those between contract agents like actors and production companies. Conditions for employment, such as a dress code or the prohibition of relations between employees are set by the employer as a condition of continued employment.  In the case of contract agents, the contract forms the conditions that define both the term (or length) of the contract or how the conditions of the contract are to be met.

  6. @Littlebelly house  Talk about a stretch.   I have no clue whether there is such a clause in the work/employment contract signed for MEC nor can I speak to contract law in SK but in the US, a contractual obligation such as being single  (as it would apply to the parties involved) would be limited to the definition of marital status (single, divorced, separated, or cohabitation by statute). Dating or other loosely held social interactions are not seen as contractual or given a legal term and thus would not violate such a clause.

Heaven help us all if dating binds us legally in any way.  We'd all be in trouble.

  7. I think the biggest group who are disappointed and voicing their disappointment are the folks who have been pushing a relationship between Joon and IU. They are frustrated.  It's true that the two looked great together but it appears that by the time she came along Joon already had lost his heart.   I'm sorry for anyone hurt by this outcome but our dear IU will find someone.

As to dear Joon and his love.  I am happy for him.  This is hardly a major blow to his career. While I was not aware of him longer than the last year and a half, the rumors he was gay and the rumors he was cold and rude to the press seemed far worse and those died as well.

Joon is hurt and disappointed that things were exposed the way they were so we need to support and continue sending him our good wishes.

I think these two have a lot in common. I found this vid and given her moves she could dance with our Joon and keep him on his toes!

I know I have been gone for a few months due to work, school and personal health.  However, I don't remember Lee Joongi's thread ever being like this.

WHERE DID ALL THESE NASTY CRUEL PEOPLE COME FROM?????

Starting fights in the thread, saying nasty comments, disrespecting each other's opinions, using profanity, etc. are not his typical fans.   Are these really Lee Joongi fans? I've been in this thread for years and I have never know his fans to be nasty.  Are these new fans from after he did his last drama?

    Where are the moderators?

I notice there is a different tone and feel. Maybe it's just us?

  9. Ok, I admit it. I do not understand what is going on. This is a scandal??  Is My Ear's Candy...a dating show? Is that what the upset or uproar is about? .  I haven't yet had time to watch the show so I have no clue.  I suppose I saw it just as a mini drama somewhat like the Lotte thingy or like Running Man. I had no idea people saw it as an "introduce lonely people and hook them up" kinda thing.  Is that how the public wanted to see it or how it was advertised?

  10.   Perhaps lonely for Joon meant not being distracted by work?  He loves working and being around the cast and crew. When he isn't in a project he misses that and has said so many many times. Could that be what he means by lonely? . As to relationships ...I mean really?  The guy is drop dead gorgeous. Name me one extremely handsome guy who isn't a major flirt (whether they have a lot of dating experience or not). I think Joon is just the type to have avoided dating because he had a goal he wanted to reach and didn't want to mislead anyone by casually dating around. Joon also said he wouldn't admit to a relationship until he was pretty sure where it was going.  I wouldn't be surprised if he got married within a year or two.  As to Criminal Minds.  I would lay money on that project being his next one. This close to the beginning of filming I think if he wasn't taking the role,  we would have heard he withdrew. Finally, given his interest in all aspects of filming from lugging equipment to looking through the camera, I expect he will start to direct projects at some point but not yet. It will all depend on where his career goes on the international scene. At least that audience doesn't focus on the under 30 crowd like SK does.

  11. @kimchigal2No one has been called ignorant. The opinion was deemed ignorant.  By definition  ignorance simply reflects a lack of knowledge.  Nor should one try to support an opinion as superior to that of others by claiming invisible authority. The bottom line is that it is considered poor net etiquette to enter a venue like this and post content that is controversial or hostile to the topic.

  12.  Inaccurate, incomplete and negative commentary on Wikipedia's Lee Joon gi Page.

WIkipedia Editors:  Please support efforts to make corrections on the talk page under the Talk tab.

Under the talk tab  in Lee Joon gi's Wikipedia's page an argument to make corrections can be found.  Citations have already been included to correct the write up but so far those citations have been ignored and editing efforts have been blocked! (see citations and articles referenced at the end of the talk page) That effort began at the end of December. TO DATE, the claims of "fluff" or "Peacock" as well as the claim that corrections were fan motivated have been the standard tactic used to undo all editing of a more positive nature. At this point no correction will be successful by any one editor ONLY multiple editors and multiple voices from other editors joining the argument will be successful.

The Wikipedia editing criteria uses the terms of Fluff or Peacock in reference to changes and writing that is not supported by citation. However as noted even citation and references that support change have been ignored. The criteria established by WIkipedia  must be followed in order to over ride opposing editors and make lasting change to the article.  Please read those argument and citations that support editing changes carefully. Support them as valid and refer to them as needed.

I believe the article for  Lee Joon gi is being controlled by a small  number of editors who are blocking corrections.  Those who seriously wish to help change the article need to add their voice and comments to the talk page and join in the discussion. Otherwise the normal editing process will fail because such edits are being erased by the opposition. There are at least 4 editors opposing those changes. The more support added to the discussion on the talk page the greater the likelihood the article will ultimately be changed, Supporting the existing discussion, repeating existing citations or adding new proof is paramount. Any complaint posed to Wikipedia Administration would need to include proof that all other efforts to make changes have been tried, failed or blocked.  Those are the steps needed to over-ride the opposition. Discussions on the talk page is the ONLY way to document the process

Those blocking changes know what they are doing. Their actions can only be stopped if they are outnumbered by a majority of editors who disagree with them but so far support for change doesn't exist. When a majority support such changes they will be accepted. Conversely only when enough evidence exists that some editors are actively attempting to block changes can arbitration be requested or Wikipedia Administration approached  Please add your voice and comments to the Talk page to support efforts to make corrections.  Thank you!

NOTE:  The same editors blocking activity on the Lee Joon gi page are doing the same on the MLSHR page.

  13. Holy ....PIGS FEET.   My new phrase.  :D  I love that clip...to hear him teasing Mila and speaking English. (melts) and all the pics OMG....BIG THANKS TO EVERYONE!!!..... Anyway.... been back reading to catch up with everything going on.  Love the activity,,,the new fans and all the concern shown for our darling Joon. HELLO AND WELCOME!!!

Most of the comments are so upbeat and positive.  LOVE THAT!  but like a few others have noted, I am a bit confused about what some people think of as appropriate...  Maybe I'm wrong and I know my chingus here will let me know if I am... but ....I am continually surprised by what some people think is OK.....

Growing up I was continually reminded that..."if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all".  Excellent advice whether you are trying to make friends or just learn the social niceties.   BUT WHOOOOO????  (other than a social idiot or complete bore)  would walk into someone's home and say, "WOW, love this or that.... but you're house is crap....wrong paint colors. your choice of furniture sucks... yada yada.?   SO  WHY do some who come here feel the need to say rude things?  Did you forget how to be considerate or socially nice?    Is it the whole anonymity thing?  Sorry, but if you can't focus on what is positive maybe you're in the wrong place?  I'm sure there are lots of blogs that will welcome it!

  14. Hello my darling Chingus@  Happy New Year.  I have been invisible but not absent...just really busy!

I want to explain why we have to be super happy for Lee Joon gi and his Hallyu award.

All of the awards by the different TV stations are ratings based. We all know that. The awards given out by SBS shouldn't be considered acting awards at all...they are profit margin awards that have only a slight connection to superior acting and everything to do with advertising dollars. It has always been the case that high ratings mean more dollars coming in from the sale of commercial advertising. It's why a 30 second spot in the Super Bowl sells for millions of dollars. The higher the ratings a station gets the more it can charge for advertising. Giving out awards like those from SBS is a cheap way for that station to reward an actor or actress, drama, director and producer for their contribution to that fiscal bottom line..

BUT... and this is a big but....as technology advances TV ratings are becoming more and more meaningless. Right now there is a far larger audience streaming entertainment on their smart phones and laptop than are watching on TV. (Those interested can read the following article. http://www.marketingcharts.com/television/are-young-people-watching-less-tv-24817/) In South Korea 31% of smartphone users watch video on a daily basis. It has only been in the last few years that companies like AGB Neilson, CJE&M, Smart Media and Good Time Data started to track online viewership and assign it a CPI index. (consumer product index > to prepare for the change in how advertising dollars are calculated). Netflix, HBO, VIKI. GoodDrama And KISSasian- to name a few- have tried to capitalize on this expanding market and that is why those services are becoming so popular.

The bottom line is that in 2016 the Hallyu Award is more important and meaningful than ever before.  The industry knows what is happening (just as radio was replace by tv, so too tv is being replaced by the net).. This award, more than any other actually represents the future and the first tangible evidence and acknowledgment of what is coming and who matters..  I think that may be what the MC was alluding to.

Congratulations Lee Joon gi. You are the star of the future!

  15. Update on efforts to correct Wikipedia Article on Lee Joon Gi. I am sorry it is taking me so long but time is an issue for me.

    Spoiler

Post to Wikipedia and Attempted corrections to Lee Joon Gi section in Wikipedia headlined as 2014–present: Domestic flops and international debut

I have attempted to edit this article 3 times and someone keeps undoing the changes. Some corrections were retained including the original error with MBC award which was the 10 Star Award and not the award originally credited, however the article is still rife with inaccuracies. The statement that "the drama is a critical and commercial failure domestically but drew a more favorable response in other parts of Asia"seems intentionally low key. That sentence including the term “more favorable response” is unusual in its implication when  Moon Lovers received a # 1 ranking in Malaysia, Singapore and a record braking 2.4 Million Views on Youku in China. (1)(2)The heading for the section also categorizes his work under the term "FLOP"in the title, the body of the write up and the reference footer supposedly supporting the title. Those terms reflect highly negative terminology not in keeping with the facts. The article that is referenced under (48) which the contributor mistranslated as "After Moon Lovers' Flop, What's Lee Joon Gi's Next Move?". actually translates from Korean 사극열풍 거스른 '달의 연인'의 부진…'사극본좌' 이준기의 다음 행보는? as I can not wait to see ... What is Lee Jun Ki's next move”. Even a simple online Google translation verifies this. Also nothing in the article itself refers to this production as a flop. The word is never used. My question is why this contributor is ts intentionally attempting to be misleading.

Most articles from far more notable sources cast the actor as outstanding in his portrayal of Wang So. (12) Critics were certainly mixed about Moon Lovers itself but the psychology inside South Korea for this may be understood in reading the Kdrama Amino article (3) Thus the changes I attempted to make to this header showing as “International Success and Hollywood Debut” is in fact more accurate title for this section than the current one. That is because the reference in the Wiki article to his "International Debut"is also inaccurate as he already has had crossover work outside of South Korea with Japan in its production of (Virgin Snow in 2007) and China in ( Never said Goodbye in 2016) and thus a headline for that section is further erroneous. Correction to Hollywood Debut which I attempted to edit into the section three times is more accurate for the US and Sony production of (Resident Evil 6). The release for this film due for Japan in December and worldwide in 2017 would carry greater accuracy.

More influential articles are positive rather than negative of the acting of this talent.(10), (11), (12) In fact the actor rocketed to the top status by CPI (Consumer Power Index) Neilson and the series ended with much higher ratings ending in first place and suggesting that the original complaints may have been social in nature rather than critical. Numerous articles reference Lee Joon Gi's talent and critical acclaim for this work which is not mentioned at all including his rise to the #1 acting talent in Korea per the International Business Times and CPI ratings. (7), (8), (9)

I have now registered with Wikipedia as a contributor to make the change (hopefully more permanent) to Joon's article. The final hurdle is going to be working through the HTML format Wiki uses for the foot notes. (which I will need to prove the points I have made above). Dear God I suck at it so it will take me another day or two to work it out. OF course if ANYONE is a brain when It come to HTML they can help. Otherwise we wait for my free time and my mental acuity.

  16. Need Links
For those who haven't noticed someone has created a Wikipedia article addition to Lee Joon Gi;s page that is an imbalanced representation of his work. The article includes words like "flops"

    see copy of Wikipage.

    Spoiler

    auiz5m2b00qb7de6g.jpg

I have edited this file 3 times and some corrections were retained however it still references that "the drama is a critical and commercial failure domestically but drew a more favorable???? response in other parts of Asia".  That sentence is both inaccurate and understated.  It also categorizes his other work as "FLOPS" which is also inaccurate...(lack luster... or disappointing... maybe but the use of the word FLOPS is overstated and not in keeping with the requirement by Wiki that articles be unbiased.

TO counter this inaccuracy I need those links and citations.  The reference to his "International Debut"is also in error as he already has had crossover work outside of South Korea.. (China and Japan) International "Hollywood" debut is more accurate.

I need anyone who has direct links for articles from other countries on the success of Moon Lovers  Please also include links to articles that show his critical acclaim for his role as Wang So and articles that stress his personal acclaim and acting skill.

    Thanks!
