i guess there is no baby plot but it looks like HS wants out of the palace and that is making WS not happy and he's making sure Wook and Won pay for the crimes next episode gahh only 2 more! Damn those writers giving us loving scenes and then rip it away giving us all these torture scenes and angish I think I'm gonna die before HS

Yo justify killing Eun is that Eun's grandfather wanted to revolt so it gave him a good reason to kill Eun thinking if the grandfather succeed than Eun will be place on the throne. So in order to secure the position making like CP pass the throne to him, he wanted to strike fear into people whose thinking of revolting against him and that to get rid of a powerful clan. The officials are scared for their life and family so they would accept the reasoning that Eun's family try to revolt so but in the end, the guilt ate Yo every night causing him to have nightmares and became paranoid that's his karma

I'm iffy about the article cause in the article it mention WS getting marry to HS and live happily and have children? Um...that seems not right o.O but if its true, I would want a sequel hopefully its better than the cversion which was disastrous since about only 4 or 5 character reprise in the sequel, hopefully if kversion is doing one, all the characters come back and since its modern time, there is no rules or history they have to stick close to so the writers can write off the borders and go wild with their imaginations

But what exactly is CR being punished for? For having a hand in killing CP right? I think someone said in the thread why was HS surprise at the punishment, I also am wondering why. I mean she is a traitor so she deserves to be punish that is how it worked then.
Yes in the cversion
SpoilerRuoxi didn't get too sickly until episode 30th, that's when YuTan (CR) was steamed alive and she fainted after seeing that. Her health taken a toll since kneeling in the rain and had to work hard labor as the laundry maid. Later when she found out she was pregnant, her body was getting weaker and she was falling into depression but after the miscarriage and with the stress and depression it shorten her life even more that's why she wanted to leave the palace cause she wanted a peaceful leaving and was tired of it overall.
As for CR, she was probably punished for betraying CP and had in hand of murdering CP cause she was the one that was taken care of his baths and adding mercury into the water that caused CP to die. She was in it with Won the 9th prince so he probably put the blame on her to avoid death and as CR (she probably was in love with Won so she took the blame and said it was all her doing and had no regret) HS was probably surprise at the punishment was because to her even if a person is a traitor, they should not be treated like a dog, being beaten up just for show. At that time, HS probably didn't know CR doing until she received the bloody letter that probably was given to her. And maybe WS told HS what CR role was in this whole thing that she was the one that was involve with CP's death and the other stuff. When HS read the bloody letter she probably realized that it was true so and that CR lied to her the whole time cause CR pretend not to know how to read and write but she could cause Won apparently taught her (that's how the cversion went the 9th prince taught YT to read and write that's how she fell in love with him) in the bloody letter it mention she has no regrets so probably CR knew her time was ending and had to get the message to HS

Lol I'm thinking the writers and directors need to sleep with their eyes open if that does happen. They make the viewers/audience run in circles and make us think the WS-HS was sinking when they slam us with all this love scenes and now to think they are ripping it away from us. Its going to be all hell break loose when it happens and those writers and audience will be like why did we ended up doing that and now we will have angry mob of fans out to get us. lol I can imagine those poor people trying to hide. But then we all know what we were heading to when we got on this ship knowing that it will probably follow close to the cversion since its an adaptation and they sort of want to follow its footsteps sending viewers up and down on a roller coaster of emotions. And now we figure the WS-HS is a titanic that is about to hit an iceberg and sink but the memories will forever be with us

Why bother fight fate when she just can go with the flow? HS lived in the past for more than 10 years and to her, the thought of returning it slim since there is no signs of her returning any time. To her why not just live her life out since to her maybe she's sent to the past for a reason. And if she can't go back to the present any time soon, why not just go with the flow and be who she was sent to be in the past. To her, she longed for somebody to love her truly unlike in the present where her bf was cheating on her with her best friend. When WW and WS declare their love for her and WS was fighting for her love and for her, she never felt like that before cause nobody wanted her in present but in this life this one man was fighting for her and wanted her and her love. So maybe that's why she was persisted to find out if he still loved her. Don't forget in the present she was heartbroken and betrayed by 2 people she trust so she probably wanted to stay where she is knowing that in this lifetime somebody did loved her and wanted her.
Maybe even though she helped WS ascend the throne,her work isn't done cause in history, WS became ruthless and so maybe her job will be done with WS became who he is because of HS (probably her death?)

Actually HS knows what type of person is YH and she wants WS not because of love but because she wants power and recognition. Also with the pass conversations she had with YH, YH admits that she just wanted those two never loved cause it will cause one to fall. After what the evil Queen did to her mother and her family, all she cared about is to make a name for herself and make sure whoever made her miserable and her mother get double of that. She doesn't care about love at all. She probably did had feelings for WS in the beginning but after he rejected her so many times, she knows why bother to love somebody when all you need is power and honor to secure the spot she wants which is to be queen. To her love is for the weak and she doesn't want any of that. But who knows how she's feeling cause she might follow evil Queen Yoo footsteps in the end, she never really got his love and will regret it.

Im thinking it looks like he's reaching over trying to grab her. Maybe she committed suicide? probably from the guilt that she betray BA and he wants to marry her and probably he forgave her and still wants to marry her but somebody probably said somethings to her that cause her to punish herself and decided to suicide. That's my theory and probably they try to accuse WS causing him to lose BA and also losing HS the same time cause WH is also one of HS friends and when WS lose both people he loves it makes him vulnerable.
Spoilerin the cversion, the woman 13th love committed suicide but in silence but 13th always knew. She decided to die due to all 13th wives looking down on her and said she shouldn't be raising the daughter with such background. So she left the daughter with 13th and committed suicide alone in the lake.
I was hoping at least WH can give 13th a child like the cversion at least he won't be lonely

Seriously. You can't picture Wang So pretending YH is HS to get through the process and get his heir? It sounds terribly messed up and I pity everyone involved in this (fictional!) situation, but you have a Queen who get there by basically forcing the King's hand, and the King who is desperately in love with someone else and doing everything to protect them but driving her further from him because of his efforts. I see no love there, no matter how many children they would have had. Maybe it can settle into tolerance..So and Yeon Hwa didn't have a terrible relationship before, but imagine if he ever found out that she had a hand in the tea poisoning incident that caused HS's torture and Lady Oh's death?
To each their own opinion, but for me, WS never loved YH like that even after all the tragedy ended. I don't think he ever moved on from HS, which you know, ties in with the tragedy of the show. *sobs*
Ah true plus if he finds out that HS life is shorten due to her torture and punishment and it was cause by the tea poisoning incident and that YH is the one that started it all. How would WS take it? He can dethrone her and kill her but then she probably threaten him with something and her clan can petition to get rid of him off the throne probably that's why she is still queen
Spoilermaybe its me but the drama is sort of taking a route of this other drama in china, "Qing Shi Huang Fei - The Glamorous Imperial Concubine" and WS is basically Liu Liancheng and HS is Ma Fuya. He longs for her and love her truly with his heart. He was force to marry her cousin and tricked into believing the one he loved died and when he was force to consummate with his wife. The way he did it was like I don't care I just do it and he did it and didn't bother looking at her after the deed was done lol
Overall I feel like the ending will be like cversion she probably will die without seeing WS one last time which is gonna stab the audience in the heart
I need to get bunch of boxes of tissues for next week gahh. But I believe he will become ruthless after HS death cause the light in his life is gone and he's living in a bunch of liars and traitors that is out to get him and his throne. The woman he married has a motive and his in laws. Probably something will happen to BA and he also probably ends up dead leaving WS all alone like the cversion where the king at the end stands looking out the forbidden city. He has the world, the power, the throne but in the end he lost the light and love of his life.

To me she's mad because CR was brutally beaten to death like a dog, even if that person is a spy, HS always has this thing where even if they are slaves they are human too and should not be treated like animals like in the beginning when YH was beating CR. There is other ways for punishing but been beaten like that and in front of many maids to her that's inhuman. She probably won't find out about CR involvement until she reads the bloody letter that she's gonna get later after she gets mad at WS. Probably CR told her everything in that letter from her being a spy for 9th and her involvement with CP Mu death.
I'm thinking that Wook and Won planned so it can cause a drift between WS and HS cause they know how CR is important to HS and they probably figure she's sick cause probably one of them saw the physician walking out from her room and they corner the doctor to get information. If they can't get her to die, then they should separate the lovebirds so YH can intervene. Maybe that scene where he's hugging HS is probably his way of saying sorry that he has to marry YH in order to sit in the throne and maybe she'll understand cause every time they are alone and he ask her out its usually something like that and she figures it. Maybe after that they finally consummate their feelings and she ends up pregnant I mean since she wasn't pregnant when the doctor checked on her the first time and then we have CR death since which she will find out she's pregnant (taking the route like the cversion) but then she gets mad at WS cause even though CR was a spy, she was her first friend when she woke up so to HS.
Then when WS finds out who planned that incident to happen then we get him getting revenge which probably ends up Won and Wook paying for the price but we all know Wook will throw Won under the bus like he did with the other princes.
Maybe on the wedding day, of WS and YH he probably didn't even go see YH but instead when to see HS which pissed off YH and that's when she plot to get rid of HS and if she finds out HS is pregnant she will get rid of that child since she wants her child to be crown prince. That means WS will follow in his father's footsteps and HS will follow in Lady Oh's its like the circle of life or fate?
Or maybe the kversion won't follow cversion but HS won't get pregnant after all. Maybe the writers are like maybe we should eliminate that plot we have already thrown the audience in loops of happiness and sorrow and if we use that plot and she has a miscarriage we will have stones thrown at us.
So much theories are running in my head and next week is the ending!

don't forget we are talking about ancient past, their medication isn't up to date as of now. So probably when one miscarriage back then, their body becomes weak. When Ruoxi had her miscarriage, it was due to stress and depression. With all of that combine it will take a toll on ones body. it doesn't matter of age, medicines back then isn't as good as its now. HS probably started to stress out when WS will begin to change in order to show his power in court meaning taking out whoever is standing in his way or is a threat to him and his people. She probably fall into depression probably after CR death and then stress with what is happening and she knows she cannot change the history that is about to happen

I'm having a feeling that Won might be on it too since at the end of the preview, WS screamed "kill them all" something like that. So maybe Won decided to take it upon himself to get rid of HS baby probably orders from YH or he feels that its a threat so he went ahead and did it himself.
I'm still wondering when HS said deliver the letter that Eun was at Damiwon did JM purposely didn't give the letter to WS in order to let him realize in order to change things one has to be king and since WS is destined to be king JM was gonna do everything to make sure it happen. What do you guys think?

Should it be Won? So gave him a warning when he got hit by Yo's arrow. Will he kill CR even after he found out the truth? She's like one of the closest to Soo..
I'm guessing is WS-HS relationship will change with the death of CR cause that's what happen in the cversion

I bet that when HS finds out CR was behind helping Won poisoning CP that lead him to his death, she will try to protect CR cause she was her close friend when she was there but WS want to get rid of all the bad in the kingdom so CR is on the list probably Won too. So HS will then go into depression but finds out she's pregnant like the cversion

No history has not change, she stayed with him but was not given a status or any rank she's just known to be the king's woman so that is why there is no record of her in history. That's how the writer from the original novel found a loophole to not interfere with history. HS/Ruoxi character is a fictional character that witness the rise of the 4th prince to king. So HS character is not recorded in history since WS probably never gave her a title or any rank probably due to YH protest and the official and to her all she want is to stay by WS side so title or status she doesn't mind

In the cversion
Spoilerthe king wanted to wed Ruoxi to 14th since he treated Ruoxi like a daughter and 14th was his favorite son and he wanted to grant her a marriage since her and 14th are the same age and they were close friends. But she did not want to and said no which anger the king and she got a beating for it and later was sent to be a laundry maid. Then 14th became general and was sent out to war. A few years later he came back and ask his father to forgive Ruoxi and ask her hand in marriage which was reveal that Ruoxi declined the marriage before. But it never show that the king gave him the decree for Ruoxi to be his concubine. Which is what they used near the end of the drama for Ruoxi to leave the palace to live her quiet days out.
My theory is that later Jung found out about WS and HS he doesn't tell her about the marriage but King Yo did wrote a decree for him. Probably Jung will tell HS that if she ever wants to leave the palace, then tell him and he has a way for her to leave. And thats when HS got tired of the palace and doesn't want to be there anymore so that's when Jung took out the decree King Yo wrote before he died and as tradition the future king has to honor it since King Yo passed away due to illness and not dethrone and if WS defy it, he will be label as the king who defy the past kings decree etc and so WS has no other way but to follow but WS will probably try to think of a way to make the decree invaild till probably Wook or YH say something that will cause the drift between WS and HH bigger and he decided to let her go with Jung

So far even without watching episode 16 I really want just not Won to die a painful death but smack some sense into Jung. Really he picks on BA cause he is close with WS and also that the girl he loves is a giasang is he that judgemental??!?! I'm sorry but the writers need to look up the wore "mature" cause Jung did not mature at all worst he became selfish and childish!! I mean they are all your brothers, not once did you stand up to your brother and mother to protect WS who is the same blood as you. Not once did you try to understand your brothers at all instead go around accusing this and that. if he ever found out the truth about how WS got that scare due to his mother what would he do then? Eun asked WS to do as he as, everybody heard it its wasn't WS fault and yet he still point fingers at WS.
I'm sorry but these writers failed to make Jung a mature, hero. Even though he's a general doesn't mean anything he's still stubborn, hard headed and temperamental. He doesn't know what is right or wrong they really need to work on his character cause up till now he's just pissing me off. But I do hope to look forward to Won fall hopefully soon

When will the next eclipse happen? Somehow I feel that the ending will be quite different from C-version. The focus of Ryeo is more on WS instead of HS, so I really wonder how the writer is going to handle the ending. I'm so torn, because I can't really accept WS transporting to the future, because he will still be alive till old to rule the kingdom. If he were to transport at the same age, there will be no KG in history. But if he were to reincarnate, then he may not have their full memories. I really should stop guessing the ending...
It's amazing how this writer is able to weave all the various important elements/scenes from the novel/C-version into Ryeo but in a truly different way. *applause*
What i'm thinking is that probably episode 17 WS ascend the throne near the end so 18 is when he fully is the king and probably the writers will give us some lovely dovey stuff and by 19 and 20 we are slam with angst, depression, tears, lies, deaths, separations, etc that will make us scream and throw something at the computer screen or tv screen. and when HS returns to modern day, like what Ruoxi did, she looked up history and read on to what happen to the rest of the people in the past and tears up.
Then she probably will bump into modern day WS when she's at the museum of history looking at things she remember she saw when she was there. Probably they might use the tactic from the drama rooftop prince in which though he came from past to the future, his descendant still ends up with the main girl and she knows its him cause she can feel like something like that

Spoilerruoxi was known to be 4th's woman but doesn't have status. She is able to enter his chamber not like the other wives. They make it like that cause her character is not written in history and that she's able to leave the palace later when she wanted to leave due to getting tired of the palace

Actually the cdrama is close to the novel itself and at the end, 4th never got a chance to see RX/HS before she died it was Jung/14th next to her when she live her last days. 4th will find out about her death when they sent a documentation to 4th to read stating 14th concubine RX/HS died yesterday and that's when he drop it and knocked everything off the table and scream and crying without my permission you cannot die. And it turn out that 14th did sent something to 4th but he ignore it cause he thought 14th sent some stupid stuff but really inside was a letter from RX/HS to 4th on how much she miss him and wished to see him before he died. 14th hide the letter within another cause RX/HS handwriting was exactly like 4th and that is a death penalty for one to write like the king.
When she died, she wanted to see 4th and 14th did sent the letter just that 4th didn't want to read it assuming it was from 14th so he ignore it so when RX/HS passed she died without seeing him only with Jung by her side
