Does anyone could be kind to share exactly the content that was disscused in ep 26 in the Great Hall when he almost killed that annoying Jin Clan dude(sad he is till alive, he is sooooo annoying,i wanna get inside and kill him) I got the impression he asked to overlook Yiling or were the Wen people were kept or something?

Lan Zhan knew WWX's golden core was damaged but he didn't know the specifics (prior to WWX's death). LWJ found the out about the entire truth at the same time as JC (after WWX's revival).

The author didn't go into a lot details regarding the character's weapon. The seal was derived from the sword stabbed inside the turtle, in the novel, it's assumed that WWX went back to the cave to retrieve the dark sword. However, in the drama WWX took the sword with him went he left the cave. As for the flute, I dont remember if it was an after word from the author or that one noticeable line the novel, WWX found a piece of wood in Yiling and made into a flute.

There was no other seal in the novel. I think the drama added Wen's seal to bypass the censorship with zombies because the drama made it very clear the 'zombies' are living humans with a void conscious.

Jin Zixun treated Wen Ning as a live bait to hunt the 'zombies' then WN's whereabouts became unknown . Wen Qing panicked and asked WWX to rescue/find him. So WWX crashed Jin party. Jin Zixun is a jerk who refused to answer WWX's question and the latter threatened the former for a reply. Hence the countdown scene with dark aura that circulated around the flute. After WWX went to the construction site (where Wen Ning is), Wen Ning was murdered by one of the Jin sect supervisors and WWX turned WN into his zombie. WWX rescued /took other Wen workers with him as he left and to he surprised Lan Wang Ji was waiting for him.

The rain scene wasnt in the novel, but it was a beautiful addition.

WWX is mostly like going to die by or at the end of next week. So Ill wait one week and binge on the 12 episodes. Im okay about the part with WWX dying but the arc with Jiang Ling's parents is what tears my heart apart. This happy bubble final burst. I cant handle it.

He moved away from Nie Huaisang because he lost his 'spirit core' or whatever it's subbed as. WWX is now very weak physically, so he dodged the touch from Nie in case the latter might sense something. Remember how he fell from a single light push from JC, that's mostly like why he doesn't want anyone to touch him. I don't think it's the 'dark spirit' since he has no problems cuddling with Jiang Yanli.

For those reading the english translation, keep in mind which edition the translations are from.

There are 2 official editions of the novel. Many of the details and arcs are completely removed or just breezed through in the 2nd edition. Perhaps it is a web version ver published version type of thing.

The drama is some what in between the 2 versions plus its own adjustment. The major change so far is the appearance of another seal or whatever it's called that's owned by the Wen sect.

The anime is only 20 mins and maybe even a bit less, while the drama is a solid 40mins, so other than the drama having a couple more detailed glances between WWX and LWJ the friendship level is pretty much the same.

JC NEVER KILLED WWX. I think in the anime WWX did clarify that in his narration.

WWX died because his dark arts backfired on him and during/right before his death he destroyed half of the zombie controlling seal or plate *idk the english name*. The truth and the rumours that JC killed WWX were both circulating around the mdzs world. When WWX was alive JC alway said he will personally kill him. Also, he led the group (yun meng jiang, lang ling jin, gu su lan, qing he nie) to dispose WWX. I guess these 2 points helped to fuel in the false rumours.

JC (if I remember correctly) certainly did not confront those rumours. From my opinion, this is due to A) it sounds better for WWX to be murder by a fellow human than getting blast to powder; B.) because JC is a man of words not of action so 'since I can't bring myself kill WWX, Ill just let the rumour do the job.'

The only time JC physically hurt WWX was during a staged show that he and WWX planned before they announced to the world that WWX has been officially kicked out of Yun Meng Jiang Sect. JC stabbed WWX in the guts and WWX/Wen Ning broke JC's arm. JC later complained about it because it took WWX only 7 days to heal while JC needed one entire month.

Based on the small clues i saw of the man that hired the Storyteller i actually believed it was Qinghe Nie Sect,the boy with the fan Wei Wu Xian made friends with in ep 3(what is his name,Viki has one Mydramalist another)...That man,16 years later also had the fan,so is he also somehow connected to reviving him because otherwise it's strange the timing...My heart already bleeds for poor Wen Ning,he is such a innocent boy born in the wrong family that didn't deserve to die...I must say that the most i'm anticipating is the journey of Wei Wu Xian and how he becomes the Founder of Yiling,really wanna know how he descovers the ways to use the flut for his controlling ghouls and how did that Yin Tiger Seal get to become his(that to me looks like a cameleon if it is translated right)...Now i'm quite curious if 50 episodes are actually enough to cover the story from the past and present and i actually started believing it might not be enough...

Regarding WWX's revival, the anime was clearer than the drama but they both had restrictions on how much they can tell. WWX's body was blasted to powder because his dark arts back fired on him. Which was something they all expected, hence why LWJ tried to stop WWX from using those dark energy skills. His soul, on the other was perfectly intact and no one was able to seal it off or destroy it until Mo came along 13 (?) years later. Mo found out about this ancient BODY OFFERING spell in Jin Guang Yao's secret room and I guess he memorized or something. Like @BreezeC said Nie pulled some stings and convinced Mo to offer his body to WWX's soul. So supposedly, WWX should look like Mo as the former's soul is in the latter's body. But for excuse convenience and the real reason of finite budget, the productions scarped that idea of giving him another face.

I agree with the journey of WWX becoming the Founder of Yiling is the highlight of the story. The novel didn't not spend as much time as I would have appreciated. The anime, to my disappointment, breezed it off. HOW? WHY? That's the most epic part of this entire story! Especially, when the whole anime was extremely well animated! I pray they pick it up in the second season. I am anticipating the drama depiction, but I will not keep my hopes up as I was not impress by WWX's death in the first episode. Something about it was very anticlimatic.

There's a change in the broadcast date in response to the high demand. The drama will now air from Mon TO Wed 2 episodes each. That's a total of 6episode per week, the vips are still 4 episodes ahead. So the new finale date is Aug 14th for the VIPS and non-Vips on Aug 20th.

I can tell the drama is trying hard to live up to the expectations of the fans but I still like the anime better (and ofc the book). The vibe and the excitement I feel from the novel and anime is far more compelling. Especially in the first episode when Wei Wu Xian commands the zombies to wake up to his orders. I guess this is one of the inevitable flaws with bringing about a 2D fiction to a 3d reality, some things just seem so cheesy and awkward in the real life depiction. The only complaint I have specifically dedicated to The Untamed is their clothing; the cutting for the bridging part at the armpits is hideous! Those long, draggy sleeve is a vital essence of historical cdramas! How can they make it so UGLY?? This is my very bias opinion.

ALL the actors are (or look) so young! I was expecting the characters of Xiao Xing Chen, Xue Yang and Song Lan to be more mature looking. I am so glad this is a web drama since there are less restrictions and censorships. MORE BROMANCE! I know it's impossible to hope for a pristine plot, but please script writers do not change the contents too much.

I think what made the ending frustrating was the sudden amnesia and amount of time spend on flashbacks. SO much more plot could of happened during that time frame if they took out that part. SOG driving on the road to the UNDERWORLD is not enough closure serve the justice those previous 19 episodes.

MaWang found his son. His wife became a flower. That's some happy ending on MaWAngs part. BUT our main? Not even a goodbye kiss. The main female protagonist just fades away with a note from hong sister SJ's cue to exit. I must add that I wished Hong sister could have expanded on the eye about SOG sharing his other eye.

Alice, PK, CEO, Ma secretary didn't really have an ending, they just posed. Buja goodbye was slappy. Like what is that?

I know hong sister can do better, they have. Master's Sun ended with the couple coming to conclusion that they would never be a normal pair. Greatest Love had an adorable ending with the "recharge your batteries" . In My Girlfriend is Gumiho, miho survived with one tail and the drama ended on the sweetest note ever. THEN HWAYUGI ENDED with SOG on the road. LIKE COME ON!

I refrain my previous opinion that killing off the mains and having them meet up in the Underworlds would have been more satisfying than what we have.
