@lxands I still think the chocolate for the husband. I cant prove it but if the husbAnd is Taek maybe the bag n coat its like symbol(i know it doesnt makes sense). Bag for people going to school coat/jacket for those who work. Or maybe Sunwoo borrow Taek's jacket. Just my opinion

- More similarities between BR- TK:
1. The most obvious one: BR & TK were the first two people that departed JH's house after they picked a name.
2. Both BR and TK went against the rules/tradition of Christmas in a way. TK completely abandoned the first rule of manito that JB mentioned seconds before and innocently announced who he got. JB immediately got nervous hahaha.
(and btw, we all know who was the next person to say the exact same thing right after TK blew JB’s cover)
BR too, couldn’t care less about preserving a kid’s belief in Santa’s existence. Poor JJ lol! And i think that both BR and TK did what they did not because they meant to break the tradition, but because these actions align with their character.
3. There’s only 1 other person that completely forgot about the manito game besides TK: BR. She misunderstood SW’s present as a romantic gesture so she was caught off- guard when SW said it’s for the manito game.
Also, when DS was down because TK also forgot about the present, NL mistook the culprit for BR when it was TK that made DS upset. BR of ALL people... Why?
4. Speaking of the manito, we’re only shown two pairs of manito partners talk about the present outside on the streets, late at night, on the D-day. One is TK-DS, and the other is BR-SW. notice the camera angle....
5. I’m sure we have noticed the countless amounts of TK after shower’s scene with the white towel that this drama has bestowed upon us. Guess what, BR also has her own trademark repetitive scenes. In this episode alone, I counted her doing it twice.
Moreover, here’s an eerily similar outfit that they have while caught in their trademark scene: a plain white t-shirt. Look up then look down:
6. BR and TK “exchanged” colors in ep7. Assuming TK is sometimes green, we can see here that BR is wearing a GREEN towel against her purple sweatshirt. And we know that TK’s other pillow is purple, but here I noticed that the gloves paper wrap for his dad is PURPLE. TK also sported a striped PURPLE shirt this episode when they did the manito game at JH's house.
7. Two highlighted umbrella scenes happened today. In both occasions, one waited for the other with umbrella for him/ her. In TK’s case, his dad waited outside the club until TK came out. In SW’s case, he waited in the library, checked the time, and went out right before BR’s car arrived.
8. We know that TK is a picky eater from EP 9 and 10: he doesn’t digest Chinese food well and won’t eat the raw meat. Now, lo and behold, second picky eater of the block frowned at her parent's remark after she refused the oysters.
- The other things that caught my eye in this episode. these aren’t necessarily TK/ TK-DS related so I’m putting it under spoiler:
1. There are another set of dolls too in TK’s room (it's TK room, JH is just there) LOL. I have no theory about this so I’ll just leave the screencap here in case anybody wants to taek a stab at it.
2. I noticed TWO MAJOR FORESHADOWING in this episode. The first one is with JH’s dad. Remember how in EP 10 he was soooo sulky on his birthday? Guess what he said to Sungdaddy and Papabear on Papabear’s birthday this episode?
3. Now, the next one is actually soooo obvious. But I seriously didn’t realize this until just now. Look at how the parents are positioned here. It’s the two husband and wives on one side of the street, with the future couple on the other end, and the framing went from the 2 married couples to SW’s mom and Papabear singled out in the next second. Slow clap to the R1988 for the umph-teenth time they blew my mind with their attention to detail.
So that's it for now. This first part is just a warm-up. I’ll post the part 2 soon which is about JH-DS-TK. *Note to self: better learn how to edit/ shorten thoughts lol* Btw @lady65432, i would even argue against the genius trait that CB and TK supposedly shared. I know CB isn't a natural genius at baseball. in R1994 they made a point to show that he is not born a talented baseball genius, just extremely hardworking and determined to become better. TK, on the other hand, I think is gifted with that brain. Of course he improved with practice too for Baduk, but i remember countless times that the gang comments on how TK is good at other things (would be better at studying than DS/DR, JB wants his help to solve the rubik's cube, the quiz answer that he got right on EP 0, blue marble game, galaga, etc.) CB on the other hand, is stupid. Like he isn't very academically accomplished compared to the rest of the gang. The similarity is more like that they have a devoted passion for one field, and they made a successful career out of it.
So it means Taek probably has the same short tempered like Bora? Like after he met Deok Sun and the gang he became soft? Or hiding his personality? Im so sorry I dont really understand the reasons why the writer make this Taek-Bora similarities..

I agree with all of the above. Just look at the likes for every comments considering we just got 60 followers. I can feel how we're LIKING n suppporting each other especially when our ship doesnt look convincing at first.
Personally im someone who just happy to be silent reader but at last got courage to start an account n even write something on this thread.
And somehow im quite competitive too and this feels like in a battle and hoping I could win. Well, hopefully it turn out to be true

Thinking about how red dolls always seen with green and yellow is now be easily unfold. Sun Woo will eventually become family to green and yellow. We've come a long way for answer but if we look closely its somewhat obvious. At first I thought it was odd.

Whoaa.. waking up with so many posts. I think I should go back and like all of the posts bcs all of em' are good and analytical. Moreover it not based from vague or assuming but with proof.I think we are getting to the answer and more confident than few dys before. Way to go chingus. If we have to study at school like Sung Deok Sun im sure we will excel and get accepted to Seoul university like Bora. Hehe.. looking forward to all of yall post today. Have a great day everyone.

Anything can happen. Anything guys. I dont really understand No Eul song can relate to Taek.I just dont really feel. I dont know if its for Junghwan. But the scene talking about Taek anyway.
But I really like the Stevie Wonder- I just called to say I love you. It just potray the scene. I keep listening to the song afterward even download it. But the guy who sing it had me awed with his voice. But I too, like DR voice. When the judge stop him at the first line made me cracking up. Was soo ufunny. Luckily we had scene him sing the song in the classroom. I just hope to hear DR sing the full song.

Ah, Teak is the one who said DS is beautiful directly, and her clothes are beautiful too, in opposite with what No Eul said.
And one thing I want to add. Future No Eul said to his bro in-law 'it must be hard to live with her sister'. Looks like No Eul care more to his hyung than his own sister.

Waahh I love love all the posts and y'all being positive thinking and just enjoy and embrace every moments of R88. I like the idea of the cupid team. I think most of em' know about TK liking DS like the boys, mr Choi, DS' parent. I dont know about Noeul. If TK the one in the diary Bora too should know. Too bad only clueless DS didnt know it.
No eul seems to know alot about Taek and being super respect and careful to Taek. He is such an obidient person. When DS dress up beautifully to Junghwan birthday he seem to dislike it. He said she look worst /ugly when she dressed up and he said he is being honest. I dont know if there is a deep meaning to that.

The husband could have been less busy (I wanna assume that) and then found the diary Or DS was careless about it and he took it and read it. So far we only know about the chocolate ish that he found out but there might be other things he knows that we the viewers dunno yet.
5. It's said that hubby dated(not in college. Subs didn't mention college, even db recaps didn't mention college but some people said its in college. What to believe.. Hmmm). It can apply to both characters (TK & JH) . We know TK loved DS way before JH and after finding out about "the feels" from his friend, It can make TK move on so that he can forget about DS. JH can also move on and date other people(hmmm...).
6. JH & DS were absent from the plane crash news but later we found JH(towards the episode's end) trying to blow dry his hair but DS was still no where to be found. Mystery... Where is Sherlock Holmes when you need him?
Hi, im here again trying to solve Sherlock Holmes mystery. I really into this right now maybe because I used to read detective comic when im in secondary school and with this drama I think I can relate to that.
Okay lets talk about Ep.1. The future DS talk about she went crazy married to her husband. So lets include who we think should include. Earlier when she introduce her friends. She only said SW is the most normal and DR as nerd and counsellor. So I dont know if we can exclude them. But her introduction to TK and JH wasnt satisfying thus making them has the advantage. Advantage : Taek and Junghwan
Ep 2: the future talked about chocolate. Okay because its the second episode they hint us maybe to who we should exclude to be the husband. To DS knowledge the chocolate was for someone she wrote in her diary. To her known she gave chocolate to the person she likes and she is confident she gave it to the husband.bcs we have the footage, so DS's confident is should be exclude too. But the husband didnt received the chocolate thus SW should be forever be excluded in the husband game hunting. So the possibility of the husband were : JH, TK, DR. Advantage : JH, DR because they go to school carry around bag.
Then husband went to smoke. Advantage that time : no one. Later it was TK.
Ep 6: getting rejected by Sunwoo and postcards. As for getting rejected by SW there are possibilities. Theres obvious scene of DS having crush to SW when SW borrows dictionary and DS went esctatic. Advantage: TK and JH. Pizza scene when DS persuade SW to confess. Possible: SW, DR, TK, JH. Ah! I forget TK found out Bora and SW rela tionship. So we shouldnt exclude him. Remember when future DS call her husband bcs it snow. It might means snows have been something both parties have memory about. Advantage : TK bcs he call DS after her being rejected.
Well, postcards like ive said before on my posts. Future DS suppose husband would not know about her swnding postcards. She told all the boys except TK about her sending postcards and even went to see JB in front of JH. So advantage to the husband who never know about it : TK. We dont have to prove how he know about it because its just to give us hint who wouldnt know about it.
College Music Festival too hinting us about who wwasnt there. The husband went to 1989 one when he thought he went there in 1988. Future DS later prove she was right about the song when the husband have no memory about it. It later found out only TK werent around.
Sorry if all of this was repetitive and that something y'all already know about. Sherlock is a famous detective or investigator by means he would look all of the possibilities of the suspects of who is there, who wouldnt know thing. Normally the murder case dont really believe at facial expression bcs murderer or supect should know how to hide their crime. Thanks for reading.

Hahaha I went to that page sometimes. It really hurt sometimes reading there. Their confidence is too high when most of the future clues implies TK(with proof) in the drama. I dont know where they get proof for being lefthanded, smoking, coffee thing, alibi, noeul informality. If they said it might change later, its still uncertain mode. The future should be the biggest clue and if with proof it cant be any wrong or change later. *Immerse being sherlock looking dear future husband

Yep Taek future is a big question mark. He cant play baduk forever. Erm do you guys have a thought about Bora's husband? His career? And I find it weird how soft she spoke to her husband unlike how she speak to SW. Maybe she marry someone else? and it looks like the husband was working far away...(sorry if someone has discuss about this im just curious)

Right.. bcs the future husband went to the gymnasium to watch the singing contest on 1989. Thats when DS questioning with whom he went to. Its clear that only TK werent around the singing contest 1988 thats why he dont have memory watching it.
Same goes when future DS asking the future husband how he does knew about the postcards. It clearly in the scenes when all of them in TK room except TK where DS said she send a lot of postcards. And she even went to JH house to meet JB to help her with postcards. Future DS suppose the husband never knew about that and she knew JH should know about the postcards. Well alibi is important I guess.. im sure if TK the husband someone will told about who DS is having crush with and thats how he found out.

Same. I can feel the next episodes will be tears all along. I cant imagine how will TK treat DS after he is coming back from China. And I wonder how will they parted ways especially TK. Im afraid he will run away from all of them and then after few years they meet each others back. Arh maybe im just emotional now..or maybe the fact that the drama going to end. But I try not to lose hope as how the others said its DS feelings that might solve this puzzle for now.. The way I see it she is being affectionate to JH from the start was when her friend told her and asked her to confirm it and when its true, her friend asked her to WAIT until he confess. So from all the affection she showed to JH for me was to make sure JH confess to her. Of course they may be her feeling excited when someone likes her. But right from the start she never knew TK has loved her all this time. So then she gave up. Anyway, if TK or SW werent on JH way, will he ever consider to confess? Hmm...
I never knew a week was sooooo sooo long. Even a day...my God..... waiting and waiting...

I also realise when DS mothering TK at the beach how he's going to survive in the world, that he's a pushover. look how big his smile is like saying 'you worry too much abt me, I know the life more than you do' bc he didnt go to school n working now. He too feeling happy when DS said that. Then when SW said the same thing like DS, he's feeling kinda hurt on his face with SW's words.. Well for me working n having to know the outside job world is harder than going to school or uni. So I think TK was afterall being adult outside world but being his age to his friends.
But despite being cold personality he's still very thougtful to the neighbourhood like how can we ever hate this guy. But what really bothering me now is the colour theory. For many times I was very sure that the green one(dolls theory) was meant for TK. However I tried to watch it back since the beginning that I thought it was for JH(green). Now im dont feel so sure anymore whos gonna be the husband
I realise it when one time the blue one shows crying and it was when TK was defeated first time. Second, I saw the green one was crying when the title 'one warm remark' for Ep8.. thats when JB have his surgery and aftr his surgery ended well, JH was crying in room. And when watch all back, I think since the very beginning I think the green doll for JH.*cries
I actually started watching R88 straight until ep 10 and glued to this drama until then. Personally when I watch this drama my love was shifted from SW to JH to TK. I think my heart was shifted like how the drama want us too.
Okay till then, I love all of y'all posts. Knowing the camera place and shifting for TK perspective, I thought that was brilliant.

True. This is the first time ive been crazy over a drama. Quite tiring tho. Im sure you guys feels the same. My thoughts for the last episode? Well I dont get really swayed anymore. Ive locked my answer and im quite certain with it all of this thanks to this team I can finally rest abit before the final episode.
After someone revise about the colour theory again today I think Taek is blue. The reply 1988 poster (for the roof) yellow is beside blue and then red and green. The olympic ring too yellow was tight with blue. So, idk again just my random thought.
And I think maybe just maybe junghwan will marry jinjoo? Waarghh idk just my thought. If only junghwan aint ended up with DS. @packmule3 said the officer and princess? Uri jinjoo is milky princess tho.
