Okay, tekken does tend to juggle more. Virtua fighter is more of a constantly get knocked down and battling the skillful use of defense.

What's frustrating and sad?
I bought Tales of Vesperia and played a few hours so far. The Yuri fellow could have passed off as a girl if he didn't have a man's voice.
LoL well lets just say I suck at games overall. I tend to focus on the wrong things and take "illogical" paths and although its still fun offline. Online that difference is very obvious when I get killed before I can fire a single shot or my body is juggled endlessly in virtua fighter

Prototype on PC doesnt seem too bad
Why does the stream of games die when its summer and I don't have anything else to do lol
The 120gb has made playing games a lot more pleasant so far, I still wish ms would release 500gb versions or let us use our own dive with real space!
Lately I just watch my brother play, when I play... its just frustrating and sad

I currently have a silver iPod Nano 2nd Generation (the first aluminum kinds.)
When I turn it on, the screen flashes some blurry lines for a second before the main menu screen shows up. Has anyone had this problem, is it a sign of [irreversible] damage, and can it be fixed or should I just ignore it?
It might just be a funky startup sequence, back light issues, or screen issues. If it bugs you and you have warranty (especially if you know how to make it show up) then take it to an apple store and see if you can get it swapped.
So I've had my iPod video (30gb) for around 3 years now, it's not bad but I might get a new one.I'm contemplating between the new iPod nano and the touch.
Touch, because of the games and big screen. But what I don't like so much is the size. It's not something I can just place in my pocket.
Nano, small screen but it's easy and portable.
What are all the features that come with the touch anyhow? Because I don't think I'll need to browse the internet since I have a laptop, but then I'm still not sure...
Opinions?
Basically all the programs of the App store, customization if you jailbreak it, and do you take your laptop everywhere? I dont, but I carry my touch everywhere. There isn't wifi everywhere but some places have it and I can go on for free and its nice. Its not like the touch will be this godly computer replacement, its not so fun to type things up and all that but it is nice to have.
Oh and honestly, its not the BEST music player. I mean the 2g touch is better because you can use headphone controls to go next track and volume (I think) but generally if you wanted to listen to something its not as defined as the whole ipod click wheel which made the ipod special to begin with.

The official jailbreak is out http://blog.iphone-dev.org/ works fine for me. Its ugly and you need to type it in CMD but it works easy enough still. I am beginning to wonder why I bother jailbreaking when all I use is safari! I guess its a power trip for me.
It works on touch, touch 2, and iphones!

You have to manually add that source.
Anyone put in 3.0 yet? I don't know if I want to wait for jailbreak since I barely use the jailbreak features anymore.

Do you mind converting videos because the PSP is as picky about video formats as the ipods are... with a hacked psp you can watch some youtube videos but otherwise most aren't compatible.
Web browsing is horrendous, I only used it like two times and typing the URL in drove me nuts. It makes using the keypad of a phone feel like typing on a keyboard.

I found all of the stupid agility orbs to unlock that achievement and now my crackdown can rest in peace.
Saints Row 2 is fun, but after unlocking infinite SMG ammo... became perhaps too easy because I go BRRRRRRRRRRRR (100 bullets later) o.o nice... BRRRRRRRRRRRR *reload* BRRRRRRRRRRRR *reload* weee
Also unlocked 3x health recovery rate so it goes back up after walking directly into an enemy base or something.
I think I am getting hooked on a game o.o

The graphics of Saints Row 2 is like PS2 style
But game play is somewhat fun, although I think I like Crackdown more.
But it really feels unpolished, it froze up on me at least 4 times. Online play is not really fun.
Battlefield bad company online is awesome, the game play single player is nice.

Doesn't hearing the DVD drive and fans of the xbox make you miss the days of the PS2?
Well its ike 360, dreamcast, ps2, xbox, saturn... then its all silence with the n64. Stupid load times, stupid spinning disk!!!
It has come... the over priced storage unit shall change the way I set the volume on my tv. (Except for halo) its a real pity microsoft charges so much for the stupid 120gb. What a huge step back from the original xbox. Should have made them all have a big drive or user replaceable drive. Oh well..

I leave my xbox in horizontal position. I wonder whats the best, but I will assume when the solder starts to melt, it will cool back in place when its in the horizontal position while it would shift if it were vertical. :x though I really doubt the console would reach anywhere near 270c or so needed to melt solder.
I finally got Battlefield Bad Company for the 360... bought it used on amazon and "very good" condition makes me wonder what they consider to be "poor" I think it was a used game because the center has some glue like substance on it. But at least it plays and reads without any issues.
The game itself is pretty good, I like the online play.. I still get my richard simmons kicked but hey its fun.
I also ordered a 120gb drive... going to install games to it and I will be happy.
Next game I want is Saints Row 2... seems interesting.

Castle Crashers was awesome but it's a shame the community pretty much died out long time ago. As for some games to look forward to I'm pretty excited for BioShock 2, Assassin's Creed 2, All Points Bulletin, Dead Rising 2 and of course Modern Warfare 2.
I can't wait for Dead Rising 2... I think it was my first 360 game to finish completely, then play again, and again to try to get those evil achievements. Now with the megaman blaster, all I need are the mini chainsaws and I bet I can do survival mode
I guess lots of anticipation can also result in major let down but I will hope.

.ccd is clone cd format, I think you can just rename the .img to .iso (Might not work) not free, but I know winISO can convert it.. otherwise Daemon tools should let you mount it, and ImgBurn should let you burn it. I don't remember the name of the program anymore, but I used to convert psx games to PSP to play and it was fun
So whats fun to play on the PSP Resistance is turning into an annoying game, only rivaled by the difficulty of a Lucas game.

It is actually, im really surprised ti looks like the plastic is actually coming apart rather than just the paint layer. Previously I was under the impression the paint was under a clear plastic rather than at the surface. Oh well new bezel is like $40...

Do you know if hard drive manufactures care where you buy the drive from? I am tempted to go 500gb... and ill avoid ebay if the warranty is void.
Hard to decide between the new Hitachi $90 (egg so taxed), the WD 5000bevt $100 from amazon so tax free, or go all out and spend $140 on the Seagate 7200rpm...
Either way, I want to do a clean install which will hopefully solve the majority of my laptop issues.
1 year 2 month review of HP:
Palm rest is disintegrating, touch pad is whack, keyboard is shiny, either router or wifi card is whack, bluetooth doesn't work right, microphones still not fixed, easy to freeze the computer (seems too much stuff goes through USB or something), the fan is constantly on, the LCD is beginning to develop odd patterns, and my battery life sucks even more.
So you were right in every way about HP. I had figured with my budget I could handle whatever HP would throw at me, but its just troublesome. One day I will get a job and a new computer.

What was the source again? I have used the one from the iphone dev team and the quick pwn ones from the quickpwn site on my touch without issues. And most of the time if you do manage to crash the touch, you can put it into recovery or DFU mode and restore it back to normal. I have done that several times... there are some people who are convinced their touch is dead... but from what I have read it is next to impossible to brick it through software as it has several built in means for recovery.

I am pretty sure the 2g touch can be jailbroken completely now. But how well it works I don't know.
Apple would not like to see a jailbroken ipod touch. But at the same time, would anyone know what program you installed on your computer or ipod? You just have to do a restore and it would bring back all the stuff back to the apple factory state. Heck every time you upgrade the ipod looses the jailbreak.

Left 4 Dead, SF4, Castle Crashers, Uno is what I usually play & CoD:W@W every now and then just cause that's what most of friends have moved onto. CoD4 > W@W.
Also I finished the GTA DLC. It turned out pretty good and playing a few missions alongside Niko & familiar faces gave GTA4 more depth.
The amount of download content is far greater than the 20gb drive can handle. I want the 120 but I don't want to really spend that much for a dumb drive.
I even have the 1600 points for the GTA4 dlc but I can't seem to make enough room for it.

I think the story line is supposed to be like it spread so we no longer need a reporter that goes FANTASTIC when you have a gory shot.
And I guess it turns into Left4Dead themed or... like 28 days later the uninfected who survive. Bwhaha I don't mind the change as long as it gets released.

I tend to be the Guenna pig, and this time is no different. I attempted to install the update onto my unjailbroken touch (just had 2.2 fw on it) and I got the blue screen of death. My ipod was a very useful apple advertisement (just shows the apple logo and stuck there).
So I had to restore and I lost all my music and programs I had installed.
since it was empty, I jailbroke it too.So right now I am running 2.2.1 FW jailbroken on my 1g touch. I don't see any differences except for the fact that safari seems better for now, but I know that only lasts until I browsed a few sites and the cache gets full before I need to clear it for any bit of stability.

Hey I got the iPod Touch 2Gen for Christmas and I got problem..
sometimes when I'm listening to music... it'll cut off and go to the home screen
and it only happened to me twice.
And when my ipod is turend to the side and I turned it right side up, sometimes it wont respond and I'll have to do it a couple of times..
is anyone else having this problem....?
Should I bring it to apple if i keep having thoes problems?
Sadly that sometimes just happens. Why I am not sure, but I know it crashes sometimes and when it does, it goes to the home screen like that.
Turning and crashing is also kinda normal, I get that with mine sometimes its just poorly made programs lol

I take this back, I've spent more time with BFBC now than I ever have with WaW. Granted, the game is rather "simple" in that there are only two modes, at least you don't have to put up with garbage glitches (amongst other things) seen in both Gears 2 and WaW. I see how it is! Positive review after all the sales for $20+free ship ends!
lol hopefully it will go back on sale soon. Surprisingly there are a lot on ebay but not so many at cheap buy it now prices.

I am tempted by battlefield bad company for $20 http://dealnews.com/Battlefield-Bad-Compan...ing/271829.html but I wonder if the servers are still active anymore. Lots of time the multiplayer part of the game just dies a few weeks after release. Guess WAW has that benefit.

Members seem to like asking which dSLR they should buy quite often in both the official DSLR thread and here in the camera and mp3 section. It would be nice if we can put together a official thread so we can summarize and hopefully guide them in which camera to get. Primarily for just the body/kits so lens selection and style can be discussed elsewhere.
I am tempted to write a little about Canon but I think others would be able to do a better job about the "best" for each price range and experience.
Assuming they have done some basic research, gotten a feel of different cameras and their interfaces hopefully they will have a general idea.
So brands Canon, Nikon, Olympus, Sony... some people have brand preferences if they do then this will help narrow the search.
Budget and willingness to go used, refurbished etc.
How the camera will be used.
