    *** Episodes 3 and 4 of Blood Free ramped up the pace and intensity of the plot, with Joo Ji Hoon’s sexy charm literally leaping out of the screen. IDK why every time I watch him on the screen he always takes my breath away! Man, he can be my bodyguard 24/7, forever. Heh. On the flip side, she wisely questions herself why she trusts a stranger, Chae Woon and acts on his advice when he hasn’t been around her for more than a few days. Is it because he is as sexy as hell? hahaha - My mind would get confused, too, with the sight of the yummy Joo Ji Hoon – suit, overcoat, and a gun? Smokin’ sexy! Their bodyguard-charge relationship is proving to be quite interesting. Ja Yoo rightfully suspects he isn’t exactly what he says he is since he keeps “coincidentally” appearing at the right places at the right time; yet she is grudgingly impressed by his physical competence and quick intellect in managing issues. He has a reasonable answer for all her questions, which frustrates her since her gut is telling her he is lying or hiding things from her on several levels. As for me, I adore this man!     Singer Rain to hold first Korea solo show in 9 years By Pyo Kyung-min Singer and actor Rain, also known as Jung Ji-hoon, is set to reconnect with his longtime fans by holding a concert in Korea for the first time in nine years. Rain announced via his social media Monday that he will stage a solo concert, "2024 RAIN CONCERT: STILL RAINING – SEOUL," at the Olympic Hall in Seoul's Olympic Park on June 8 and 9. Through the online post, the singer humorously said he is "planning to dance until the very end. Expect to be completely breathless." With his trademark wit, he added, "A hospital appointment is scheduled post-performance. My singing will be satisfying." Jang Ki Yong will star as Bok Gwi Joo, who once had the ability to time-travel to a moment when he was happy. However, after becoming depressed due to a devastating accident, no moment in his life is happy anymore—and so Bok Gwi Joo loses both his happiness and his special power to travel to the past. In the newly released teaser, Do Da Hae (Chun Woo Hee) seeks out the Bok family with a basket of flowers. But in contrast to Bok Man Heum (Go Doo Shim)’s warm welcome, Bok Gwi Joo acts aloof and unhappy to see her. Bok Dong Hee (Claudia Kim) then cryptically reveals, “Our family wasn’t originally like this.     Ji Sung, Jeon Mi Do, And More Impress At Script Reading For Upcoming Drama "Connection" SBS’s upcoming drama “Connection” has shared photos from its script reading! “Connection” is a new crime thriller starring Ji Sung as Jang Jae Kyung, a well-respected detective who is the ace of the narcotics unit. Jeon Mi Do will star as Oh Yoon Jin, an opinionated and outspoken reporter who works at a newspaper. The drama is a collaboration between director Lee Tae Gon and writer Lee Hyun, who previously worked together for JTBC’s “Diary of a Prosecutor.” Ji Sung plays detective Jang Jae Kyung, the leader of the narcotics team at Anhyun Police Station, who is respected by his juniors and trusted by his seniors within the police force. Ji Sung exuded a charismatic aura in scenes where his character dealt with criminals, but in scenes depicting drug addiction, he delivered a chilling performance by depicting complex emotions and erratic breathing. Jeon Mi Do displayed strong presence while in character as Oh Yoon Jin, a reporter in the social affairs department of Anhyun Economic Daily. During the script reading, Ji Sung and Jeon Mi Do created an exciting atmosphere with their performances, raising anticipation for their acting chemistry.

    *** I re-watched his latest drama "Han River Police". When I first heard about this series, I knew I had to add it to my watch list because Kwon Sang Woo is on it. However, after watching all six episodes, I am quite disappointed with the overall execution of the drama. Overall, I enjoyed the show to some extent, and I must give credit to Lee Sang Yi, who played a villain role here. Despite my criticism of this series, if you are a fan of Kwon Sang Woo, check this one out! The series starts on a high note; masked terrorists are hijacking a peaceful cruise along the river, holding its occupants hostage. Aside from the case-per-episode format, there’s also an overarching antagonist that tries to use the Han River as a means for his illicit activities. I love it because it’s a short series. The simplicity of the plot works well for the six episodes available, without becoming rushed in the finale. The criminal plot is not overly complicated and the twists are not overly tiring.
