Ji Sung, Jeon Mi Do, And More Impress At Script Reading For Upcoming Drama "Connection" Drama Preview Apr 19, 2024 by E Ezeji SBS’s upcoming drama “Connection” has shared photos from its script reading! “Connection” is a new crime thriller starring Ji Sung as Jang Jae Kyung, a well-respected detective who is the ace of the narcotics unit. Jeon Mi Do will star as Oh Yoon Jin, an opinionated and outspoken reporter who works at a newspaper. The drama is a collaboration between director Lee Tae Gon and writer Lee Hyun, who previously worked together for JTBC’s “Diary of a Prosecutor.” Ji Sung plays detective Jang Jae Kyung, the leader of the narcotics team at Anhyun Police Station, who is respected by his juniors and trusted by his seniors within the police force. Ji Sung exuded a charismatic aura in scenes where his character dealt with criminals, but in scenes depicting drug addiction, he delivered a chilling performance by depicting complex emotions and erratic breathing. Meanwhile, Kwon Yool perfectly portrayed the character of prosecutor Park Tae Jin, who is known as the brain among his friends, with his glasses and cold tone of voice. Kim Kyung Nam exuded a powerful aura through his portrayal of villain Won Jong Soo, the vice chairman of Geum Hyun Group, who has both money and power. Finally, Jung Soon Won delivered a hilarious performance as Heo Joo Song, the cheerful and friendly CEO of Two Star Holdings. Based on the webtoon of the same name, “Dare to Love Me” is a romantic comedy about the love story between Shin Yoon Bok (Kim Myung Soo), a 21st-century scholar from Seongsan village who believes deeply in Confucian values, and his art teacher Kim Hong Do (Lee Yoo Young), who has a reckless and straightforward personality. Director Jang Yang Ho and writer Park Yoo Mi as well as the lead actors including Kim Myung Soo, Lee Yoo Young, Bae Jong Ok, Sunwoo Jae Duk, Park Eun Suk, and more gathered in one place for the drama’s first script reading. As soon as the script reading began, Kim Myung Soo quickly immersed in his character and showcased his acting skills by perfectly portraying Shin Yoon Bok, who is kind to others but strict with himself based on the Confucian virtues of benevolence, righteousness, courtesy, and wisdom. With her delicate acting, Lee Yoo Young doubled the charm of her lovable character Kim Hong Do, who dreams of becoming a designer despite having no connections or power and being disrespected in the fierce design industry. Bae Jong Ok plays Jang Camille, the CEO of a luxury fashion brand who has intense presence as a powerful figure in the fashion industry. WJH drove ML's car after ML got a phone call and went back to the office. Someone damaged ML's car's brakes and WJH crashed into a building. Someone also removed SD card from WJH's dashcam. WJH can't walk or move his legs. He has no feelings in those legs. SR shows SC the ultra sound of her fake baby. SC and SR deserves one another. They're both now unemployed and do nothing but sit around the house and play games. Chairman admits that he commited attempted murder and caused WJH's accident. DJ and ML is there too and found out about the truth. WJH crawls up to the roof and about to commit suicide. Based on the preview, ML tries to stop WJH from commiting suiclde. This is the third person he saves from commiting suicide. Now that plot resolves around the Chairman, and the ML's revenge towards hi, SR has taken the backseat and she's just sitting around with SC while her mom is stuffing plushies.
