  5. Premiere Watch: Chief Detective 1958 by missvictrix Time slot: Friday-Saturday Broadcaster: MBC Genre: Action, mystery, drama, crime, human Episode count: 10 Global streamer: Disney+ Reasons to watch: It feels like it’s been forever in the making, and hyped for even longer than that, but the remake of the long-running Chief Inspector series from the 1970s and 80s has finally met 2024. Except not really, since the drama takes us back in time to 1958, and will act as a prequel to the original series. Because there’s nothing quite like taking a dated, classic TV show and putting some fresh film-making and, you know, Lee Je-hoon in there. Joined by Lee Dong-hwi, Yoon Hyun-soo, and Choi Woo-sung, this drama promises us a bit of everything. And that’s exactly what I’m counting on. (If the fun they’re having at the press conference sets the tone, we’re in good shape.) TL;DR: Lee Je-hoon is back serving more justice, this time in 1958 with his ragtag team of cops https://www.dramabeans.com/2024/04/premiere-watch-chief-detective-1958/

  13. "Goodbye Earth" Unveils Main Poster Featuring Ahn Eun Jin, Jeon Seong Woo, And Kim Yoon Hye Drama Preview Apr 19, 2024 by E Cha Netflix’s upcoming series “Goodbye Earth” has released its main poster! “Goodbye Earth” is a “pre-apocalyptic” drama about four individuals living out the chaotic final 200 days before an asteroid is scheduled to collide with Earth. The drama will star Yoo Ah In, Ahn Eun Jin, Jeon Seong Woo, and Kim Yoon Hye. The new poster captures three of the drama’s main characters as they face an end that no one can avoid. Se Kyung (Ahn Eun Jin), a school teacher who wants to protect the students she held dear, has wounds on her face as her eyes well up with tears. On the other hand, company commander In Ah (Kim Yoon Hye) remains stoic in the face of danger, displaying strength and courage befitting of a soldier. Finally, priest Seong Jae (Jeon Seong Woo)’s gaze shows his desperation to help others amidst the chaos and confusion. The poster’s caption reads, “D-200 until the end. Today, and tomorrow, and until the end, we stay together.” While “Goodbye Earth” was initially scheduled to be released in 2023, its release date was postponed last year after Yoo Ah In tested positive for cocaine, ketamine, marijuana, and propofol during police investigations for the illegal use of propofol—which may explain his absence from the poster. “Goodbye Earth” is set to premiere on April 26. Check out a teaser for the drama here! https://www.soompi.com/article/1655893wpp/goodbye-earth-unveils-main-poster-featuring-ahn-eun-jin-jeong-seong-woo-and-kim-yoon-hye

Jeon Mi Do will star as Oh Yoon Jin, an opinionated and outspoken reporter who works at a newspaper. Ji Sung exuded a charismatic aura in scenes where his character dealt with criminals, but in scenes depicting drug addiction, he delivered a chilling performance by depicting complex emotions and erratic breathing. Jeon Mi Do displayed strong presence while in character as Oh Yoon Jin, a reporter in the social affairs department of Anhyun Economic Daily. During the script reading, Ji Sung and Jeon Mi Do created an exciting atmosphere with their performances, raising anticipation for their acting chemistry. 16. Kim Myung Soo, Lee Yoo Young, Park Eun Suk, And More Showcase Perfect Chemistry At Script Reading For "Dare To Love Me" Drama Apr 19, 2024 by S Kim KBS2’s upcoming Monday-Tuesday drama “Dare to Love Me” has shared a sneak peek of its first script reading! Based on the webtoon of the same name, “Dare to Love Me” is a romantic comedy about the love story between Shin Yoon Bok (Kim Myung Soo), a 21st-century scholar from Seongsan village who believes deeply in Confucian values, and his art teacher Kim Hong Do (Lee Yoo Young), who has a reckless and straightforward personality. Director Jang Yang Ho and writer Park Yoo Mi as well as the lead actors including Kim Myung Soo, Lee Yoo Young, Bae Jong Ok, Sunwoo Jae Duk, Park Eun Suk, and more gathered in one place for the drama’s first script reading. As soon as the script reading began, Kim Myung Soo quickly immersed in his character and showcased his acting skills by perfectly portraying Shin Yoon Bok, who is kind to others but strict with himself based on the Confucian virtues of benevolence, righteousness, courtesy, and wisdom. With her delicate acting, Lee Yoo Young doubled the charm of her lovable character Kim Hong Do, who dreams of becoming a designer despite having no connections or power and being disrespected in the fierce design industry. Bae Jong Ok plays Jang Camille, the CEO of a luxury fashion brand who has intense presence as a powerful figure in the fashion industry. It is expected that Bae Jong Ok’s portrayal of Jang Camille will add excitement to the drama. Sunwoo Jae Duk plays Shin Yoon Bok’s grandfather and the head of Seongsan Village Shin Soo Geun. The actor’s uniquely deep vibes perfectly express his character, who holds heavy responsibility as a leader of a village. Lastly, Park Eun Suk portrays Lee Joon Ho, the owner of Seongsankwan, a high-end traditional Korean food restaurant. Lee Joon Ho is a suspicious character full of desire who will add tension to the drama. The production team remarked, “Please show lots of interest for ‘Dare to Love Me,’ which will present a novel and pleasant love story between the unique characters of a courteous man and a driven woman that cannot be seen anywhere.” https://www.soompi.com/article/1655902wpp/kim-myung-soo-lee-yoo-young-park-eun-suk-and-more-showcase-perfect-chemistry-at-script-reading-for-dare-to-love-me
