@alivingparadox24 can't we make one even if she's already in a real life relationship?

Yes, you can. We will not be breaking any rules if they have their own forum. Besides if people are so offended we can call it SIG and alternate universe JSM :joy:.

Also if I am not mistaken I think a moderator intervened on this board a few weeks when there became discussions about SIG/JSM and JSM/LJ to create a shippers board to talk discuss them. As long as you title it #Mookang couple or the stars couple... next to their names it should be okay.

Also Park Shin Hye has multiple shipper threads and she has confirmed she a boyfriend. Most likely she will have one with Hyun bin for MOTA. It  would be hypocritical for them to have active multiple shipper threads while denying us to have one for SIG/JSM.

@kdramaaddict212 I believe Song Joong Ki-Moon Chae Won couple thread is still active nowadays considering that he's already married to Song Hye Kyo.

Hi, all! So I found myself going over the most recent Open Thread of DB (http://www.dramabeans.com/2018/11/open-thread-579/#comments) and the first topic on the thread was TSHLYE's ending. Most of the comments were negative ranging from disappointment, rage, apathy, to that feeling that they were cheated . I know most of us in this thread were quite satisfied (myself included) with how that drama ended. But, it's also worthwhile to look into how those people from the other side of the fence view the ending. Here are some of the interesting arguments that were raised:

1. Why a "nobody" (stone-faced Sec. Choi) had to do the killing. They would have preferred it have been done by any of our three leads, or SeRan had she not been shot my MY in the penultimate episode.

2. Some of them think that the ending was "meh", that it wasn't tragic enough. Some say that it lacks the bite of the OG- and that it should have gone dark all throughout rather than give the viewers a cop out of an ending.

3. The drama, since it was tempered down compared to the OG, should have just taken the "healing drama" route, and I quote, "..or it could have gone all the way in twisting it to become a Healing Drama - it would/could have hit new heights in inspiring us viewers with it's awesome writing. And it was on it's way to being healing: Yoo Ri was on the mend, JG was admitting everything and coming clean, Se Ran was gone and our OTP were healing each other. But no, it had to be a limp-ending tragedy " (by username @growingbeautifully).

I wonder what you guys think of these points? I stand by my assertion that the ending was sad but fitting; but, some of their comments also made me contemplate on what could have been a better ending :)

Are you referring to the afterlife? If so then yes I believe they do find their way back to each other. The very final scene left most people on this board with the impression that they did find their way back to each other amongst the shining stars or in the afterlife. JK got there first but KMY eventually found her. There's also a reason that the writers made KMY say "I'm not going anywhere. even if there is nothing left here or how far I go, I'll come back to you."

If this helps Seo_ingukkie23  translated what Jung so min wrote about TSHLYE on her instagram page after it finished airing.

Source:  Seo_ingukkie23 instagram via LJY_MY twitter  (sorry I couldn't find the original source but it was found on @stan4junho twitter page)

"It was a bit hard to learn how to act again. I think I was so obsessed with the character Jin-Kang that I thought I'd been so fierce. All those times are so precious and thankful. So I have not even thought about starting to clean up my mind about 100 million. I am really happy and delighted to learn about Jin-Kang, Moo-Young and Jin Gook Oppa deeply for 4 months. I believe Jin-Kang and Moo-Young will continue to write their own beautiful stories in a painless world. So I believe "A hundred million stars from the sky will last forever. I sincerely thank those who love and supported the drama. Thank you very much." Pc Cr:-@somin_jj IG:

It doesn't get better than Jung So Min saying they found their way back to each other and will be together in a happier place and their story is not over  :)

Personally I Would have prefered it To be like Number 3, because They Did tempered it down with this version, moo young wasnt even sleeping With seran, It wasnt like he was a demon he was just a lost person going on his life and getting into those girls life for some fun and games yeah Thats not being nice either, he's a jerk yes but i Dont see him as a phycopath like how some people want him To be. He was humanized in my eyes the moment he covered Jinkang With his jacket, he wasnt even trying to WIn her heart at that point. His action was sincere. Even when he was using seung ah he con her for The money but he gave It To his friend instead. IT wasnt even for himself.

Like I Said before, i Would have prefered it if this version Didnt make him into a murderer, I'd rather Them make The secretary kill seran out of jealousy, i Dont Know, the little screen time he had, i've always thought he looked pissed off that moo young is getting all this preferential treatment by Seran. He'd have a motive to frame moo young for murder because of the CCTV footage of MY walking away with the gun, and jin kang Wouldn't have been that heartbroken knowing that moo young Didnt commit The murder. Alas The moment They Made mooyoung The murderer its Already predicted The ending wont be a Happy one, although i do appreciate They Didnt make jin kang kill him, but Then again IT makes absolutely No sense if She kill him after The way They built her character to love moo young that much.

yes this! I appreaciate that She Said those words,  It somehow brings a closure To my heart that Mookang are Now together again and walking in a flowery path, just like someone mention about that last scene, they have arrived in their destination and can just live With Each other There in peace with No more pain for them. Wherever It May be:wub:

its been a week and im still fretting over The what ifs... I'm just going To Check out somin in MAMA. Although i Dont think any of My biases Will perform this time:glasses:

@teachermok Hmm, there are some interesting points raised, but I actually thought Secretary Choi killing off the OTP was consistent with the writing of the show. The writer tends to leave a lot of the plot unsaid and to the imagination, like how Woo-Sang fired Seung-Ah's father, but it wasn't shown or anything until Se-Ran used it to rub it in his face. So I wasn't surprised that they made Secretary Choi as the killer out of the blue. Also, I don't think Se-Ran would ever kill Moo-Young; like I said on DB, she sees him as a kindred spirit, and would do anything to keep him around and under her thumb. I'm thankful that none of the three leads were the shooter; Jin-Gook is already going to live out the rest of his days in misery and guilt, no need to enlarge his pain. I have read about what happens in the original ending of the Japanese version, but I think I prefer this one, where Moo-Young and Jin-Kang has sorted out all their misunderstandings and feelings. Even though this was an open-ended and tragic ending, Moo-Young and Jin-Kang has found peace at the end.

As for the healing drama route... I dunno if that's even possible. It's clear to me that Se-Ran would never leave Moo-Young alone; even if he didn't kill her, he also indirectly caused the death of Woo-Sang, and the chairman would still be after him. Although it would be at a later date, maybe. I think Moo-Young's end was decided from the start when he was living recklessly, playing with the lives of others, all this was bound to catch up with him. He didn't even feel remorse for Seung-Ah's death; it wasn't until he was on the receiving end of Se-Ran's manipulations did he realize what a helpless feeling it was. Moo-Young has done some pretty horrible things throughout the show, so I can't see how they can make a happy ending for him. *shrug*

This is an  interview and It was in Japanese. I used Google traslate cause i don't know neather japanese nor Korean

Japan's first broadcast of" 100 million stars descending from the sky "that gathered topics as a drama return to Seo Inguk as soon as possible! Kitagawa Etsuko This book by Screenplay gathered popularity at the time of broadcasting in Korea, and created enthusiastic fans. Two of the leading actors responded to the interview just before broadcasting in Korea.

So · ing ("Inguku") "In Japan too, a very famous drama will be remade in Korea, and I am working hard with shooting with all the great co-stars, so I'm glad to have a good news that it will be broadcasted at the satellite theater as soon as possible I felt it was a work that was drawn with a sharp point of view stimulating the psychological part of human being. It is a remake work, It is not drawn as it is, but it will be reinterpreted and re-interpreted with the unique color of Korea, so I think that the original will be a new drama that is another bit different. "

Jung Seo-min (hereinafter referred to as Somine) "I was also impressed very deeply by seeing the original work, especially at the end of the story the content was such that the mind could be tightened very much, but that lingering remained for a long time. The script of this work (Korean version) is also very interesting and it is drawn in a new atmosphere, so I decided to challenge. "

Q. Mu Yong who Mr. Inguk plays is a person who thinks that everything is a game. What are the difficulties to play?

Inguku "Although the character is sharp but the undulation of emotions is not intense, it is hard to play such a point in detail, such as expressing the relativeness of people and people while maintaining his personality. But it is a very attractive person. "

Q. Although Jingan is going to change Mu Yong with such danger, what did you prepare for the role?

Somine "Mu Yong lives by closing my heart because of the scratches and loneliness of the heart, such a ginger said" he should have a warm part as well. So come to this world ... ", I will try to pull Mu Yeon to the bright side.We strive to act while taking care of her view of the world."

Q. How is the atmosphere at the work place?

Inguku: It's really good!

Somine "(laugh) Yes. One reason why I like this work is that the overall tone is dark and sad, but the wit and humor are hidden between moments, interact in a realistic dialogue There is a lot of fun, the compatibility of acting is outstanding. "

Inguku "Even if we arrive earlier than the entrance time, we will head to the site at once, get off the car at once, say hello to the staff and the co-star, make discussions with each other and joke .... It is a really happy and happy site . "

Q. Who is the mood maker?

Inguku "In this work" This person! "There is not a person who can say it clearly."

Somine "Even though I was shooting alone, when Mr. Inguk came, Mr. Inguk was a mood maker, and when Mr. Songun took me there, I changed to Sonneun ... (lol)."

Inguku "When Somin arrives during my shoot, Mr. Sumin will be a mood maker! It is fun to have each of them play their respective roles and I really want to show you the scene!"

Q. A word to everyone in Japan you will see from now.

Somine "This drama is a mystery love story, those who like mystery and thriller, those who like beautiful and sad love stories are dramas that anyone can enjoy, so please have a look!"

Inguku "It was a long time for all of my fans to tell them that I am sorry for the first time, so I was able to say hello to you for the first time in a while, but in this work it's a nice and perfect figure that you guys are not disappointed I will show it, please expect! "

Thank you for posting this interview, Camichi! With the above question and answers I posted can someone make sense of this question and those answers?  LOL Right now I regret not taking Japanese as a language elective back in high school.

I hope the Japanese audience loves this as much as we did.

Moo-Young has done some pretty horrible things throughout the show, so I can't see how they can make a happy ending for him. *shrug*

But, I thought he already got a fair share of karma for his deceit, like getting into the accident, getting stab by his gf's brother, remembering his painful past and thinking that his gf was his sister, I thought that was already too much for someone to suffer from for being a manipulating jerk. He wasn't empathic but how can you blame him when he was practically a lost boy who had no idea who he was, who his parents are and not having a normal childhood like many others.

Oh well maybe I'm a sucker for a healing drama that I was hoping they might take this route with this version. Not make mooyoung a killer So that I can indulge in more moo kang moments which would just be for my own satisfaction.

I mean I went on a hiatus from watching jdramas for many years because I was so sad and heartbroken by a certain drama ending that I make a vow to never watch a Japanese drama again( I did start again after a few years but my heart is more prepared for the storm with maturity) and then I found a haven in Korean dramas where everything was rainbows and unicorn haha even their melo was not as depressing as the Japanese ones, so I was hoping that TSHLYE would follow the normal route but then again it would not have made this drama any different than any other dramas. maybe I can have a healing drama with seo in guk and jung somin in another drama instead , someday, next year would be good too:D
