Still busy as a bee.

So, yesterday I've done marathon all 6 eps until 1 am this morning.

I'm ready for next ep now. Phew...

Reporting my existence to @bebebisous33

Even I've done watching the eps, I'm not reading any posts in this forum yet, I'm sure there were a lot of analysis already.

I can't read any pages before this, mianhe chingudeul. So I don't know who's been here. Just saying hello to you all.

I'm going to say this once: if you happen to not like this drama the easiest way is to drop it instead of leaving negativity here. There is a big selection with other dramas out there to choose from. So no need to waste time on something that won't make you happy.

Any posts which have nothing to offer but negativity will be hidden.

@Jillia I need some clarification, you can PM if you like. I'm a big believer that a healthy thread is one where a person can express an opposing view that may be different from others and they are not attacked for that view (usually dramas with a cheating spouse are the most "expressive"--. When I shop online, the first thing I want to see are the ratings--all of them. When there is a drama I'm thinking about watching, I try to come here, as well as other sites, to see what people are saying---good or bad.

So my question is, what do you consider "negativity"? I admit, when I'm watching a drama I really like and the writer starts taking it off the rails into a downward spiral, I will "vent" my frustration at times (but based on facts presented in the drama and not outside of that realm).

Personally, I wasn't sure when this drama first started if I would like it--characters and scenes seemed over the top. However, by ep 3 I felt the actors had really mellowed into their characters in a way that truly have me laughing out loud. Out of all the dramas I'm watching, this is the only one where I go back to rewatch certain scenes.

Again, you can PM if you like. Thanks!

@Visually-wandering Glad to see you back! :)But I haven't posted much here...

I guess, SK is not just suffering from mysophobia, he has learnt not to get attached emotionally because his grandfather abused him and his mother neglected him. He only had one person he loved but she died in the end. All the boyfriends of his mother never stayed very long indicating that his mother was paying more attention to her boyfriends than to her own son. I can understand why SK rejected Oh Sol. The grandfather asked him to date someone and get married, since his issues with his own grandfather are not resolved, he considers dating as an obligation coming from his relative. SK didn't pay attention to OS's feelings and that's what he needs to learn. The fact that OS will distance herself from him will make him realize that he can lose her. Don't forget that he is still in denial: he loves her. He associates love to his mother which is linked to instability and abandonment issues.

To me, the grandfather is the real cause of his OCD: as long as the grandfather doesn't show his love for him, SK will always feel rejected and not loved. The grandfather told him many times that he was dirty as he had no father... and SK has internalized this.

SJR must be really happy on set which shows that there’s good camaraderie among the actors . Having watched most his dramas , this is the first time I see him so actively posting . In fact on his insta , he seems to indicate how happy he is to work with the cast .

The IG translated

This is the second time that he & the actress that plays Secretary Gwon are working together. They are close because she was his sis in law in the family weekender , Our Gab Soon ( that ran for 60 eps ) last year .

So just for fun , what’s everyone’s favourite track suit colour so far ??? :D

I like the off air bromance as well

I have no problem to clarify things here. :)

So far this thread has been really great, even though my secret wish is we would have more discussions but I also have to admit I'm super busy with work and RL atm.

Anyway, personally I have no issue at all to discuss a drama and all its aspects, even when they are negative. A healthy discussion contains good and bad things. So criticism is definitely welcome.

BUT commments like:

Spoiler

This drama is boring.

Why did the actress choose this drama?

And so on are not constructive and lead to a negative feeling in a thread.

Personally if I don't like a drama or I don't feel a drama I drop it and move on. No need to leave a comment which doesn't contain any constructive reasoning.

I hope you understand what I mean. :)

But don't feel like you need to hold back on stuff. If you want to say a funny scene was too over the top that's fine. I think as well some scenes are too much. I like the emotional scenes a lot more. Even though: I'm surprised how much I enjoy the funny scenes.

@triplem

I think it's awesome to see them getting along so well and having fun. :D I think the age gap isn't doing anything to the bond they have since they did their script reading with Yoon Kyun Sang (btw: I'm still a tiny bit bitter that we didn't get to see those photos).

And all the making videos show that they just really have a fun time. Yay for that! :)

I want to see their script reading with Yoon Kyun Sang too :dissapointed:

OST Part 4 is another song, Gil Oh Sol's theme song.

It's certainly a bit unfair to Yoon Kyun Sang.

But the fact they have so much fun behind the scenes and they give us many making ofs helps to overcome the fact that we'll never see the script reading. :D

I'm agree with you @bebebisous33. Especially about why he rejected OS coldly. He just had depressing situation before meeting her. And she suddenly came with the similar subject as his grandpa; which is about "relationship". So, I understand, his answer came out from his own situation. And "having crush" is something new and strange feeling for him.

All this time the people whose "torturing" him with double value — grandpa and mom, somehow always stay beside him. It's a "Love–Hate" relationship. No one really "disappeared" from his life, since they have blood relationship called "family". It will never the same for OS, he will soon learned about "loosing" in real —for the 2nd time, after his beloved Nanny.

I miss you @triplem

OMG! This umbrella scene is so sweet it makes me cry :bawling:. I love it, I love it, I love it!  How beautiful is it seeing him learn to trust and rely on OS? I love that she’s his comfort and strength against a world that has been so cruel to him.

So she becomes his secretary as a stand-in one day and then his grandfather makes it more permanent when he sees how it is going? I can’t work out his grandfather yet. I don’t know if his grandfather is secretly soft inside and hopes SK becomes happy, or if grandfather is just disappointed in SK and needs him to become better to take over the company - in which case he only sees OS as a means to an end, and not a way to keep SK happy.

I see the synopsis for season 7 is that SK will look for OS to confess his feelings, but I presume this doesn’t happen. I think that he sees OS with Choi and convinces himself that it’s better for her to be with someone normal, so he continues to keep her at a distance. That’s good though, it gives us a chance to see her naturally and gradually start to fall in love with him! I’m so excited by this OTP :love:Bring it on!
