@gentlelily12 It's the one in his weibo post. Maybe he felt that the lace looked so girly so he wore it inside out.

@cheeriekwan I also wondered where the lace is.

Top 3 of his most favourite movie characters are Sun Wukong (Journey to the West 2), Shao Jianbo (The Taking of Tiger Mountain), and Hsieh Shaofeng (Sword Master).

In my opinion, I like Shao Jianbo, Sun Wukong and Lin Yi (My Old Classmate). How about you?

Here's an article about how he's doing in box office bar. Just for your reference. Please remember that box office is NEVER the first thing he cares. Note: it should be "Young Detective Dee: Rise of the Sea Dragon" instead of "Detective Dee and the Mystery of the Phantom Flame."

I wish someone here can translate some critic reviews about his roles from Chinese.

@matchamacchiato, the ones listed as his most favorite I can understand why because they were characters with more depth.  For my entertainment purpose, I liked his roles in Detective Dee because his character got all flustered whenever he was around a girl and his interplay with Mark Chow's character was fun and natural.  His role in FAFB was entertaining because he was totally different from the serious roles listed above.  His trying to woo the cold and serious leading female character was hilarious.  I liked his role in sword master because his character conveyed much with few words and got to display awesome sword skills.  Overall, I find his versatile acting to be understated, natural, and endearing regardless of which role he plays which makes the characters more attractive than otherwise would be.

Thanks for your insightful comment about his characters. Like I said before, Shatou Zhong (in Detective Dee 2) is a very promising character, judging from the 1st part of the series. Tsui Hark answered in the interview that he chose LGX for that role because he gave off the same vibe as Tony Leung Ka Fai (who played this character in Detective Dee and the Mystery of the Phatom Flame). I'm eager to see the character development in the sequel The Fourth Heavenly Kings.

I read in a Vietnamese LGX FC site that on August 1st, some fan on Weibo asked him  they saw him in Scarlet Heart and he wasn't that handsome but the Young Master YWY is as handsome as the Universe (hard to translate literally), very hypnotizing, how do you do it?  His answer was: I was so handsome what else can one ask for, I am just more handsome now, but you can't deny I was handsome in those days, always handsome in general.  Lol gotta love his half jokingly-half truth admission.

Kyaaaaa.... how can a man be this handsome wearing simple outfit like this? Like I said before he looks best in white, I'm totally smitten. ☆ ~('▽^人)

@gentlelily12

His reaction to fans teasing is so adorable in that clip hahaha He comes across as a gentle and easy-going person.

@matchamacchiato

Hi, welcome! So great to have more people here! Thank you for the extra tidbits on his movie roles. I've only watched 3 of them so far and my ranking for now are:

1. Sun Wukong- I cannot stop laughing whenever he's on screen especially when the monk sing and he auto-dance to it. He injected a dash of charm into this misunderstood character. I hope he'll return again in the same role, I'll watch it in the cinema

2. Hsieh Shaofeng- ok, this character is almost similar to YWY in term of repressed feelings except he dressed like a begger 95% of the movie. BUT in this movie I finally see how good he is in fighting. It's like the wuxia and xianxia novels come life especially the last sword fight. Fluid, graceful and dignified.

3. Commander Chen- I only have one question: What happened to him in the end? I was watching the movie on my tiny tablet and suddenly I cannot spot him anymore  (•_• )?

I'm saving Detective Dee for last so not too much gap when the new movie screen in cinemas next year.

@yueyyo

His response to the fan proves Mark Chao's comment in a past magazine interview that LGX is a narcissist kkk If he gets better looking every year, his 900million girls' dream might come true ☆⌒(≧▽° )

tbh I think LGX looks great in Scarlet Heart especially with the ridiculous Qing Dynasty hairstyle. He has a nice head...
