I m going to get a lot of backlash but I will just say it. Whatever Ji did in the name of saving Shin was wrong. I don't know if he was saving shin or shin 3. But really none of the characters knew how to tackle shin's unstable mind. Instead of talking it all out they just gave manual mode to an unstable person. They kept on telling him the things he didn't want to hear and worse he introduced shin 3 infront of shin making him look I don't know what. Even David was better than all of them, his words did somehow effect shin.

I won't reply in this forum till I get my senses back lol. Hopefully I can stay away from this drama and forum for the rest of the week it's giving me headache :tears:

I Just finished episodes 29-30 and I’m always at the edge of my seat, as much as I wanted for Shin to redeem, I just hate what is he doing, so blinded with everything, like what everyone is saying he needed intervention just to clear up his mind. My heart just bleed for our couple :bawling: I hate seeing them like this, but the power of love rules everything! Thank God that NS3 Override the manual mode!

The thing is it's going to mess up his mind even more. Argh even I m getting second hand embarrassment  I desperately hope he knew it before hand but there's literally no chance for that.

So much going on in next episode lol. I want this company destroyed no matter what, just shift shin 3's datacenter somewhere else.

I think the ending is clear. Shin will go back with mom while robo shin will become ceo. I can't believe grandpa won't face any consequences? Like really? He gets the company and the ceo of his choice?

lol.. if that's the case, SB gets what she wanted.. rich boyfriend , completely devoted to her :)

i guess YN is left hanging..

i guess the only sane part is JH and robo NS and to some extent human NS getting the ending you mentioned.. they deserve it respectively

how many episodes this drama has? not usual 16?

Oh boy. I haven't even watched the episodes yet and I already feel like my mind is going in all directions just reading the recap and what you all think from this episode. Our poor brains! :joy:

Finally YH showing some tough love!!! Let Shinbrat face his fears. Protecting him like a child isn't doing Shinbrat any favors.

I feel bad for grandpa but he was partly the cause of all this mess in the first place. I say his dementia is the karma he got from all the horrible things he did.

Love that Shinbot's identity is finally out in the open! So excited for next week's finale but at the same I don't know how I'll move on from this drama!

Yeah its giving me headache too. Writer nim didn't give us a break from predicting what will happen next and how the ending will be haha. The plot getting sharper and the story has climax without go down!

Actually I feel pity for NS. How this all unfair for you. But, who am i? I'm just the loyal audience who can't force writer nim to make it happy as i want haha.

Jeball, i'm tired haha

4 more eps left. Hwaiting for all possibilities!!

There are 18 episodes :D

At first I was happy to know it's not a usual 16 episodes but 18.

But now I think it's a pity it's not 24 or at least 20 episodes long. Now I  feel 18 is not enough to fully open up all the characters (especially human Shin) and make a good closure for this show.

I really hope that writer would be able to tie up all the loose ends and give this beautiful story the ending it deserves.

I'm not even talking about happily ever after (even though deep down I really wish for it) at this point I don't really care about will it be happy or sad ending for our couple but let it be a worthy and adequate ending that would compliment the show and create a great conclusion.

so human SHIN also lost his job automatically?

Oddly enough I agree, I too feel the most pity for human Shin:bawling::cold_sweat:, besides, , he is nevertheless more and more wicked, he is thirsty for anger, I think that everything that has happened since the beginning since the creation of Shin ROBOT influenced him, I'm not saying it would have to excuse all the harm he did even there it's too much. But the actor really plays these two roles very well, whoaa

Again even from this fantastic drama, I will be very surprised if SB and robot SHIN will be together, despite the shooting photos that I saw on this forum. May after all maybe they have already had sex , what happens in these episodes seems to me sometimes too surreal, maybe it will end with a proposal for a shin robot in SB:ph34r::tounge_wink:

This show is phenomenal! You have no idea what’s coming next. So many things going on I don’t know if 2 episodes is enough to wrap it all up. I still really hope everyone gets their own happy ending. Roboshin seems to know what killswitch is and i don’t know if So Bong knows that its in the hands of the evilShin. I don’t even know if 2 episodes is enough to knock some sense so EvilShin, he is too consumed with vengence.

From skj make up team post they were in a beach. I’m really hopeful that ShinBot and So Bong will meet in the beach and give us a peace of mind that they will be together regardless the circumstances are.. away from all the drama in ShinHuman’s life.

Thanks @crazyyo @butterflyeffect for the recaps .

I just got off watching last night’s with subs, and my favourite bit was when NS3 confronted Shin , and ask him if he scared him? Felt like NS3 hit the nail on its head because Shin is behaving the way he is because he is afraid. Afraid of having his agency robbed again  the way it was when he was separated from mum. Afraid of losing the love & support of people like mum & JYh. Afraid of losing his identity to a machine. He’s insecure & lost , and fuelled by hatred and anger . Not the easiest character to love .

The irony is that he wants to use NS3 to show grandad how dangerous and out of control robots can be , but the reality is that he was the one who lost control of himself . His judgment is clouded & attempted murder of others even if it’s via the robot makes him even more dangerous than the AI. For me I feel the writer always likes to send subtle philosophical messages via the drama. The greatest threats to humans are humans themselves.

@crazyyo I agree with you that JYH has been enabling Shin for far too Long. Partly because of their longstanding relationship & partly because he was employed to look after Shin’s interest (and clean up his mess ) . So tonight I’m just happy JYH has finally decide to draw the line

And oh one of the things I had really wanted came through. NS3 could finally call him hyung :D

Looks like Seo gets dismissed from his position next week :w00t:

I’m not too worried about what’s going to happen to our cinnamon roll because there’s always a twist.

The twist is scaring me a little. Huhu. My heart hurts already thinking about losing him.

I haven't watched ep. 16 yet, but since I've been publishing scifi for a while in my own country, I'll tell you how I'd write the end of this drama if I were its author. I'm not trying to make a guess and getting it right, of course... I've no clue about how this drama will actually end!

During one of his delirious episodes, Chairman Nam will decide in a frenzy that nobody is worth inheriting his company: neither humans (unworthy Nam Shin or upright Ji Young Hoon) nor an AI that doesn't crave power and doesn't need greed to push itself forward. He'll start a raging fire in an attempt to destroy the data center. N3 will enter disaster mode, reveal his real self to his former coworkers and save many people, while the other characters fight for their lives, the lives of their loved ones (if they have any) and/or to save what matters the most for them, what defines them, finding their redemption and/or their doom. Sobong will do her best, but N3's consciousness will start fading, while the servers burn, and he'll end up shutting down after a tragic farewell. Sobong will get to take his damaged, inert body, and everybody else will think that he's met his demise.
However, as soon as they get home, N3 will slowly start to reactivate and wipe Sobong's tears with a smile.. He had planned everything since the beginning: using a distributing computing software like the one developed by SETI, he has "moved" his brain online, borrowing unused processor time from hundreds of thousands of private computers without their owners even noticing, where nobody can damage it or tamper with it. Now he's finally free:D He's not anyone's property anymore, he can decide what's best for himself and live the life he chooses!
He has also been learning how to repair and maintain his own body, and he brings Sobong to see the secret lab where he can fix the damage suffered while rescuing PK's employees during the fire. HAPPY ENDING, chingudeul!

@Calligrapher Feel free to take inspiration for another fanfic, if you like... I LOVED "Undercurrents"!
