Male Actors Who Amaze With Their Kissing Skills

Oct 27, 2018
by K. Lew

There are many reasons fans watch romantic dramas — the adorable cliches, the surprising plot twists, the endearing characters, the breathtaking romance, and so on. However, arguably one of the most exciting moments in a drama is a kiss scene.

Whether they are used as an unexpected plot device that grabs the viewers’ attentions, or as turning points in a relationship, kiss scenes are noteworthy in every drama.

Here are 10 male actors, in no particular order, who blew away audiences with their kissing skills.

4. Yoo Seung Ho

Once an adorable child actor from “The Way Home,” Yoo Seung Ho has grown up to be a masculine, mature actor. With fierce gazes exuding various levels of charisma, his kiss scenes are definitely strong yet tender. He recently showed this on “I Am Not a Robot” with Chae Soo Bin, whom he kissed tenderly after passionately pulling her in towards him.

Actors Who Could Pull Off A “Male Cinderella” Transformation Like Seo Kang Joon In “The Third Charm”

Oct 20, 2018
by L. Kim

Seo Kang Joon is once again capturing the hearts of viewers with his ability to perfectly play the boyfriend role.

In the JTBC drama “The Third Charm” that revolves around the love story between a longtime couple as they go from their early twenties into their early thirties over their 12-year relationship, the actor plays On Joon Young, a model student. He first appears in the drama as a goofball with braces, glasses, and unpopular hair style, but later on, he changes into a boyfriend with a flawless, handsome appearance.

Although Seo Kang Joon is perfect for this role, there are other actors who may be able to pull off the “male Cinderella” transformation just like he did. Here are five candidates:

5. Yoo Seung Ho

Yoo Seung Ho is also one of the possible candidates to play On Joon Young. With a baby-faced look, talented acting skills, and emotional eyes, he will be able to perfectly portray the sentimental side of the lead male character.

7 Actors Whose Ratings Have Trouble Living Up To Their Talent

Oct 31, 2018
by C. Hong

Have you ever liked an actor but hated the projects they pick? Or liked their projects but been sad that no one else seemed to watch it?

There are some actors who have experienced bad luck, either now or in the past, when it comes to picking projects. Whether it’s about low viewership ratings or just a badly written story, sometimes an actor just can’t quite catch a break despite their phenomenal talent.

Yoo Seung Ho

yoo-seung-ho2.jpg

Yoo Seung Ho was a brilliant and beloved child actor when he was young. Although his talent continues, some of the projects he’s chosen after completing mandatory military service have been troubled by low ratings. These include MBC every1’s “Imaginary Cat” and MBC’s “I Am Not a Robot.”

Although “Remember” got solid ratings, it was Namgoong Min who was the standout performance of that drama, while “Ruler: Master of the Mask” underwhelmed for the amount of marketing it received.

Nevertheless, Yoo Seung Ho continues to steadily build up his filmography, rarely taking an extended break from working. His next project is SBS’s “Revenge Is Back” (working title), slated to air in December.

SBS’s new drama “My Strange Hero” has released new stills of Yoo Seung Ho!

“My Strange Hero” tells the story of Kang Bok Soo (Yoo Seung Ho), who returns to his old school as a teacher to enact revenge after he was expelled from the school as a student due to false accusations. However, he soon becomes entangled again with his first love from that time, Son Soo Jung (Jo Bo Ah).

In the released stills, Yoo Seung Ho wears a hoodie under a sports jersey as he plays basketball under the shining sun. Revenge Returns releases new poetic teaser

by tineybeanie

revenghero0.jpg

A new teaser has been released for Yoo Seung-ho’s (I’m Not a Robot) upcoming drama Revenge Returns. Featuring Jo Boa (Temperature of Love) and Yoo Seung-ho, this drama is a rom-com about two childhood sweethearts who meet again when they are bitter enemies. The key incident that makes Yoo Seung-ho turn his back on Jo Boa is when he is accused of assault during his school days. She doesn’t stand up for him, and he ends up being expelled.

Years later, she, the once-model-student, is a struggling unemployed person who barely gets hired as a temp teacher at the high school she once attended. There, she meets Yoo Seung-ho again, and a whole bunch of hijinks occur. Surprisingly though, the teaser gave a much more melo, romantic feeling than I would expect from a comedy. Jo Boa narrates throughout as scenes of her and Yoo Seung-ho falling in love in high school are shown. Her lines are modified excerpts from Pablo Neruda’s Poetry:

“And it was at that age … Poetry arrived
in search of me. I don’t know, I don’t know where
it came from, from winter or a river.
I don’t know how or when,”

“I did not know what to say, my mouth
had no way
with names,
my eyes were blind,
and something started in my soul…”

The pink, blush tone of the teaser evokes memories of first love and innocence, although there are glimpses of some tragedy in the teaser. And in the last scene, we see them meeting on the school rooftop again as adults.

Monday-Tuesday drama Revenge Returns begins to air on December 12 on SBS.

Yoo Seung Ho Adorably Stuffs His Cheeks With Food In “My Strange Hero”

Nov 22, 2018
by Y. Shin

SBS’s new drama “My Strange Hero” has released more stills of Yoo Seung Ho!

“My Strange Hero” tells the story of Kang Bok Soo (Yoo Seung Ho), a man who returns to his old school as a teacher to enact revenge after he was expelled from the school as a student due to false accusations. However, he soon becomes entangled again with his first love from that time, Son Soo Jung (Jo Bo Ah).

Although Kang Bok Soo had once been the “small hero” of Seol Song High School, after he is expelled, he becomes a “substitute man,” someone who takes on tasks in other people’s lives as long as he gets paid.

In the images, Kang Bok Soo is paid to attend a dinner party in place of someone else. Wearing a butterfly necktie and black tuxedo, Kang Bok Soo enjoys his fancy meal. He stuffs his mouth to the brim with food in a Bok Soo-like manner.

Yoo Seung Ho filmed this dinner party scene last month in Paju. When he arrived on set, Yoo Seung Ho was apparently surprised by how fancy the food and set looked. When the staff begin to prepare for the scene, Yoo Seung Ho showed off his passionate acting as he listened carefully to the director’s instructions, communicated well with the other actors, and fixed his posture while eating.

The production staff stated, “Yoo Seung Ho will go from being a ‘little hero’ to a ‘replacement man’ to a ‘issue-inducing man. Through this drama, he will showcase different charms, and he is currently taking in Kang Bok Soo’s character perfectly. Yoo Seung Ho is sure to create an iconic character once again through the character of Kang Bok Soo.”

“My Strange Hero” premieres on December 10 and will be available on Viki. Check out a teaser for the drama here!.

New teaser

Translation

( Kang Bok Soo, save me !!!!)

"It is not me, why do you not believe me ? "

(I will wait for you, Kang Bok Soo)
"You know I did not do it, why are you  lying!"

(You are 18, .... you can't run away )
"It's really been a long time. It's been 9 nine years. I will make you regret as I'm back "

Btw today there were some sad news, YSH  has deactivated his instagram account without notice. Let's hope it is only a technical issue. To be honest I won't be surprised if it turns out he did it because he didn't like it or had some problems . I was opposed to his decision  initially when he announced he wanted to create a SNS account because he had stated many times he did not want to. His character just screams no social media ! However due to TTU's controversy he was kind of forced and did not do it with willingness. The circumstances made him to open one. Moreover he was barely active. It is really unfortunate that it happened right before his drama, I'm sure all his fans anticipated his posts about his new drama. In the meantime, let's be patient and wait to see what happens next.

Tragedy and accusations begin in Revenge Returns

by tineybeanie

rr_ysh9.jpg

Another teaser is out for Revenge Returns, the high school sweethearts-turned-enemies drama, starring Yoo Seung-ho (I’m Not a Robot) and Jo Boa (Temperature of Love). Yoo Seung-ho plays Kang Bok-soo (literal translation: strong revenge), who is expelled from school when he’s framed as the perpetrator of a serious assault charge. Years later, he comes back to school to take his revenge on all the people who wronged him, including his first love, Jo Boa’s character.

The teaser starts out with the tragic fall of a student off the school rooftop as he shouts “Save me!” to Yoo Seung-ho. However, no one was around them, and it appears that everyone believes Yoo Seung-ho pushed the student off the roof. He desperately denies it, and we see flashback cuts of happier times of him with Jo Boa who clearly expresses her interest in him.

So when he’s accused, he goes to the one person he thinks will believe him, Jo Boa. But she doesn’t even look in his direction as he tries to push past the crowds, saying “You know it’s not me. Why are you lying?”

An adult’s voice cuts in, harshly reminding Yoo Seung-ho of his reality now: “You’re still only a kid running from his past. An eighteen year old kid.” Perhaps those words planted a seed of determination in Yoo Seung-ho because we see him going back to the school where he was expelled despite Jo Boa’s taunts against him.

At the end of the teaser, the two meet again at the same school rooftop. Yoo Seung-ho greets Jo Boa brightly, “It’s been a long time. Has it been 9 years?” but inside, he’s thinking, “You’re going to regret that I’ve returned.”
