  1. Seo Kang Joon Cast in New KBS College Drama New casting alert! Seo Kang Joon is slated to play the lead role in upcoming KBS Mon/Tues drama From A Distance Looking at the Blue Spring. It has been reported that Seo Kang Joon will be playing a college student in KBS' new spring drama From A Distance Looking at the Blue Spring. The drama will be an adaptation of the webtoon (Seen From A Distance , Green Spring) and will feature Seo Kang Joon as a college student with a painful past. From A Distance Looking at the Blue Spring is a coming of age story centered around college students in their 20s. The drama will center around Yeo Joon, who comes from a wealthy background and is handsome but has a painful past. The drama is slated to air after Perfect Wife (which will air after Hwarang). I'll be honest I like Seo Kang Joon. I think he's handsome and charismatic. But I'm not very familiar with his work. I never watched Entourage, I dropped Hwajung and I only watched bits and pieces of The Suspicious Housekeeper. I did watch all of Cheese in the Trap and while I did love his character of Baek In Ho the behind the scenes drama kinda ruined it for me. So maybe this new drama with be a great do over. I'm a fan and I really enjoy college drama's. Keeping my fingers crossed this one turns out good. I wonder who his co-star will be. Any guesses? Source: One Two Cr. Soshi Fan @ K-Drama Amino
  2. Seo Kang-Joon offered lead role in drama series “Seen from a Distance, Green Spring” Seo Kang-Joon has been offered the lead role in new drama series “Seen from a Distance, Green Spring” (literal title). Currently, Seo Kang-Joon is “positively considering” the offer. The drama series is based on webtoon “Meolriseo Bomyun Pooreun Bom” by Ji Nyoong. If Seo Kang-Joon accepts the offer, he will play Yeo Joon. He is a third year university student. Even though he is attractive and comes from a wealthy background, he carries emotional pain with him. The drama series is in discussion to air on one of the three Korean major broadcasting stations, but has not been finalized Cr. Asianwiki
  3. Seo Kang-joon confirms webtoon adaptation From A Distance, A Green Spring by girlfriday | February 6, 2017 | The upcoming adaptation of campus webtoon From A Distance, A Green Spring has found a home at KBS, and is planning to broadcast in the spring (naturally). The first actor to sign on is Seo Kang-joon (Entourage, Cheese in the Trap), who has been cast to play the second lead, though this webtoon is actually more about bromance than romance, which makes him part of the leading bromance pair. His character is a puppy-dog freshman who takes a liking to a sunbae and follows him around, leading to an unlikely friendship between two very different boys. I started reading the webtoon by Jinyoong just to get a feel for the story, and ended up reading way more than I anticipated because I got sucked in by the adorable bromance. It’s a college campus webtoon that’s similar to Cheese in the Trap’s thoughtful, slice-of-life style, about twentysomethings in the spring of their lives, except this one has a focus on friendship. The webtoon’s tagline is: “If you look at life from far away it’s a comedy, and if you look at it up close it’s a tragedy.” The drama is about the in-betweenness of contemporary twentysomethings, no longer youths but not yet adults, trying to figure out life. I’m not sure if the drama is reworking some of the characters, because most of the press releases seem to conflate the two leads in some way. But in the webtoon, the leading man is a prickly third-year student named Nam Soo-hyun who comes from a poor family and works three part-time jobs to support his mom and younger brother while going to school on a full scholarship. He’s infamously rude and blunt, and doesn’t care at all what other people think of him. (He’s the tall one with dark hair in the manhwa stills below.) Read More Cr. Dramabeans

  9. Ji Chang Wook In Talks To Star In “The Happiest Time Of My Life” J. Lim December 20, 2016 Actor Ji Chang Wook is reportedly in talks to appear in the upcoming drama, “The Happiest Time of My Life” (working title). Production company Imagine Asia stated, “Ji Chang Wook will play the leading man in screenwriter Choi Ho Cheol’s next project, ‘The Happiest Time of My Life.’ We plan to start filming in March with Will Entertainment, and the drama will be 100 percent pre-produced. Only the filming schedule and leading male role have been set. The broadcasting schedule and other details are still being negotiated.” On the other hand, Ji Chang Wook’s agency released a statement that,”‘The Happiest Time of My Life’ is a drama the actor is considering, but nothing has been decided yet.” It looks like we’ll have to wait and see if Ji Chang Wook chooses this drama, or if he will decide to pursue a different project for his next work. “The Happiest Time of My Life” will be screenwriter Choi Ho Cheol’s first project in two years. Having already written recognized productions like “Secret” and “Mask,” anticipation is high for his upcoming work despite the sparse details that are available. Cr. Soompi
  10. DRAMA CASTING & NEWS Ji Chang-wook eyes swift return to dramaland with Happiest Time of My Life by javabeans | December 21, 2016 | 13 Comments Back already? Not that I’m complaining about having Ji Chang-wook (The K2, Healer) in another drama, but it seems like The K2 just wrapped up and already he’s looking to jump into his next role. Chances are looking favorable that it’ll be a drama titled The Happiest Time of My Life, and while initial reports stated that Ji Chang-wook had confirmed the role, currently the official line from his reps is that he’s considering it positively.
