Lee Ha Na Confirmed And Lee Jin Wook In Talks For 3rd Season Of OCN’s “Voice”

OCN’s “Voice” is returning for a new season and possibly with the same lead duo from its previous season!

On January 15, news outlet Ilgan Sports reported that Lee Ha Na and Lee Jin Wook, who appeared on the second season of OCN’s “Voice” as leads, will return for a new season. In response, a representative of the drama said, “Lee Ha Na has confirmed her appearance, but Lee Jin Wook is still in talks.”

“Voice” is a thriller drama that follows the lives of 112 emergency call center employees who fight against crimes using the sounds that they hear. After concluding its first season with success in 2017, the drama aired the second season last year.

In September 2018, a source from OCN confirmed they are continuing the series with a third season. The team hoped to air the new season as soon as possible because of its connections with the second season.

I just came back from outstation for work. Ouhh.. it's quiet here.

Am wondering when will the promo for Voice 3 come out, huh?

Indeed, seems pretty quiet.  As for the promos, I think we might see some in April. Based on OCN's lineup video from their youtube channel it seems that Trap (7 eps) will be OCN's latest Sat-Sun drama, starting in February, then they'll air Kill It (~16eps) planned for March and then Voice 3 will be next. So I'm guessing it'll air around May, so promos will most likely be at the end of Kill It drama, ~late April/early May. Hopefully, Ha Na will update her insta more frequently, it's been quiet there too.

The game is crazy dangerous thats why JW doesnt want it to be launched yet Park and Prof Cha feel otherwise. BTW were you able to tell what the goal of this game might be? Im still puzzled on that. Is it to be of the highest level?  I dont think it was mentioned right?

I'm pretty sure there should be a quest line and a story in place, otherwise, it's such a lousy and boring game. Level up as the main purpose is a no-no. :D  The drama hasn't addressed it yet but hopefully, soon enough we'll get to know more about the purpose of the game since SJ and JW's meeting should happen in the next few episodes. Hopefully, the writer will show SJ's motivation to make the game.

  5. This drama is pretty entertaining and has a great idea to work with but man… the whole game development aspect is just impossible to take seriously. Personally I try very hard to ignore basically everything they show about game dev but I still find myself cringing and saying “That’s not how it’s done” more that I’d like to. :joy: I’ll rant/leave a bit of insight about the development aspect below.

    •  A game of such scale is impossible to reverse engineer and get a fully functional product. In this day and age we still don’t have means to perfectly reverse engineer such big games. Even when you do it with much smaller programs, what you get in the end is a lot of junk code that’s almost impossible to decipher. You still need to do a massive amount of work to get even a part of the code working. So I assume they either have the source code or some documentation to at least build on top of the product (still impossible for such a big game that uses never developed before technology).
    • The fact that two people (no matter how genius they are) have developed such a massive game in such a short time is c.r.a.z.y., absolutely ridiculous and not realistic.  Please don’t think that’s how it is in the real world otherwise new massive games would be popping every two years and developers wouldn’t be working insane hours (a serious concern in the industry BTW).
    • About HJ being the shield for JW – I think it’s plausible. This game relies heavily on visual processing, where it adjusts according to the surroundings. So if we have Emma in game as a non-killable/essential healer NPC then HJ might be recognized as her by other NPCs/enemies (if we go with the theory that the game relies on visual recognition, processing and rendering). In some games when the players interact with essential NPCs they won’t get attacked.
    • Another interesting thing is what will happen if and when HJ joins the game. There’s going to be 2 Emmas basically and that might cause a huge glitch in game. In games when you clone an NPC the behavior of the game becomes unpredictable, though that’s heavily dependent of how the game was written. For the game in the drama it could go however the writer wants it to go.
    • A few pages back someone asked why anyone would make a game where you have to kill your friends that play with you and why SJ would kill Marco. PVP (Player versus Player) is a huge aspect or RPG games. When you have progressed in game and basically finished all the quest lines then PVP becomes your main entertainment where you can compete with other players. Some stay specifically for PVP. SJ could’ve killed Marco unintentionally. Keep in mind, those two were the only developers and testers for the game. With NPCs it was easy to test the game but for PVP Marco and SJ were the only players, so they would’ve needed to test PVP combat between themselves. While testing Marco could’ve lost his marbles and SJ might’ve killed him, thinking that it would be simple in-game kill but Marco ended up dead for real. It seems like the game glitches when it comes to PVP combat. This is a huge concern and it’s strange that JW’s company hasn’t tested PVP combat before releasing it for random testers. From what I understood those weren’t the company’s employees but random gamers preselected to test the game. This fact is ridiculous yet again. For such a huge game it wouldn’t be on the market or released for user testing before extensive testing was done by testers themeselves.
    • The fact that game devs haven’t found zombie Cha glitch in game is partially JW’s fault. For them to fix the glitch they need to know that such a bug exists in the first place, then reproduce the problem, then analyze where could be the problem and lastly search-search-search the depths of code. If they don’t have the source code, they are doomed. Even if JW was afraid of appearing crazy to his employees, he could’ve simply told them that after PVP combat the game created an exact copy of the killed player and glitched. Seriously, a lot of drama could’ve been avoided if he told his team to investigate PVP  code. The devs would’ve formed an alliance with JW, saw zombie Cha and went to investigate what the heck is wrong with the code. They have such a big company and so many resources to look into that… But, if it’s not a bug in game than it’s simply magic, no other explanation…

Sorry for the long rant, but I had to write it down so that I can enjoy the rest of the drama in peace. :kiss_wink:

  6. @ellelyana88 Agreed, I also can sort of understand where k-netz are coming from. While I understand what JYM is saying her pronunciation sound just a tad bit off. It doesn't distract me at all and I think that she fits the role of a doctor very well. It's just that during her scenes I suddenly thought that she sounds a bit like people who recently gotten their veneers, like her jaw is always tense. But again no offense to her or her fans, just a curious observation. As for the drama itself, I must say that it's just my cup of tea. Ghost was a little bit too gory for me, but this is just right up my alley.

    Just saying about their date...

The whole world around Da Il is moving on (trees are waving & vehicles are moving)... But his world is paused at some time or.. is gonna stop forever..!! :cold_sweat:

At first, I was happy that it was a reality, not a dream... But now, just wish if it was a dream that ease my mind for a second :bawling:

@gm4queen That scene was heartbreaking :bawling: for the both of them. I think DI decided to sacrifice himself in order to save YW after that talk with CW. What a fool! YW also sensed that he's planning something bad and now I'm afraid that she also might do something stupid to stop SWH.

Why SWH have some bruises? And according to the preview, seems like her body become smell bad? Why?

is CW suggest to kill YW because she's knowbthat SWH after YW's body?

    8 minutes ago, kaedechan said:

I think her body become damaged, maybe it's the price for doing evil things or because her long comatose makes her body weak/damaged, that's my guess ..

I think her body is rotting away slowly. That's why she remembered her caretaker's words about finding a new body because this won't last long. If you think about, there's no way her body would be able to function after years of being in a coma. She was stabbed by DI and her own mom, so she sustained a lot of damage and her body is being controlled by SWH's angry spirit, but it won't last long like this. So now she'll need YW's body to survive and that's where the talk about killing YW if she gets possessed by SWH came from. The writer sure likes to torture DI and YW's characters, that's so cruel.

Guys, do you all notice this drama always came out Number 4? Da II's Mon house address is 14-4, YW house address is 401 and the house address they are looking SWH's mon is 14-1. Izzit I think too much or just a coincidence...

Oh, I didn't notice that. You're very attentive to details.  Maybe it has something to do with the fact that number 4 is the unlucky number in Korea much like 13 in other countries.

    Quote

Four has been deemed unlucky in Korea because it sounds like the Chinese word for “death.” (This refers to four in Sino-Korean numbers, which is 사  and is pronounced “sah.”) Four is also considered unlucky in China and Japan as well.

So why should you know this? Well, it will help you understand why certain buildings in Korea don’t have a “fourth” floor. And it might be best to avoid groupings of things in fours, like when you’re giving gifts. Not to mention it might win you something in trivia someday.

someone has to sacrifice at the end of the series.! And you say it'll be Kim Gyeol.. But why do I keep thinking that it'll be DA IL..?!

Oh, I hope that won't happen. It'll be so cruel both for the character and the viewers. Actually, the more I think about what could possibly affect SWH, the more her mom seems perfect for the job. If her mom would try to protect SWH and die in the process or if SWH presented her with the same choice as the other and mom chose to die for her, I think that might somewhat shake her up a bit. I mean that's the whole point - no one has ever sacrificed for her. She tested her dad and even he chose to live and let her die, so maybe if the mom will sacrifice herself for SWH this might be the breaking point. If she didn't feel anything even when killing the caretaker then the only people she might still somewhat care about are the people from her past and the only one alive is her mom.

I don't care how many times I see it in other dramas since for sure he making it here so special, especially the way he also look at her, have that little smile and all his body  relaxing and changing while doing it  and she also give the most beautiful body reacting, her eyes , her little face and......

A hug and little hair touching get in the highest romance standard now  ( I think I am not the only crazy about that scene :joy:)

I loved everything about that scene and when he brushed her hair once more before going into the room and disappearing the second time. It's great to see that he doesn't restrain himself that much after finding out that he's still alive. Before that, whenever he wanted to comfort YW when she was crying, he always stopped himself. Maybe it was because he thought that since he's dead it would be better to keep a distance so that when he disappears for good no one will get hurt. Now, since he found out that he's still alive it somewhat elevated his worries. Seeing how worried YW was when he disappeared has also affected him so now it feels like he's more open about his feelings.

  12. Hi there everyone, I've been lurking silently in this thread. I'm sorry to say but Da Il and SWH are not related. From what I understood SWH'm mother ran away from home, then the dad started drinking heavily and was burdened with raising SWH and her little brother. So one day he prepared two Cola bottles for himself and SWH. He said that it'll be all over when they drink it, they'll all end up dead and this will be the end of their suffering. SWH asked for food first and while her dad went to give her a sandwich she switched the bottles. At first, she thought that they'd all die but in the end, she was the only one who survived. Her dad actually planned to kill both of his kids and live without the burden. SWH's caretaker (now dead) managed to write the word "omma" as in "mother" on the wall of his cell before he was killed. So what we were shown is that he couldn't kill Da Il that night and instead, he brought him to SWH's mom. So now Da Il is in SWH's mom's apartment. When she saw that he woke up the woman took a syringe and tried to kill Da Il - that's the cliffhanger.

Kang Kwon Joo is not dead.

I'm with you on this one. The more time has passed, the more I believe that she'll be alive. Now that I've managed to look at the situation without emotions getting in the way, I think that it would be out-of-this-world ridiculous for her to end up dead. So now I feel pretty calm. About KW, honestly, I really don't want him to become evil because I feel sorry for the guy. After all that he's been through, after fighting himself to stay on the righteous path for him to suddenly become evil is just too much. I can't imagine how he'll suddenly go back to daddy dearest after all the torment he felt. Besides, we already have two villains - dad and the younger man that was in the car with him.
