Plot

Sung Dong Il, Kim Yoo Jung and Son Ho Jun will be getting together for the film Joy.

The suspense film Joy is about a detective slowly unveiling the secret that has been hidden in a muder case for ten years when a mysterious man appears in front of him and his daughter. The film has confirmed the cast as Sung Dong Il, Kim Yoo Jung, and Son Ho Jun and will begin filming at the end of January.

The talented actors, representing different generations, have been cast in the film Joy, which will open a new door for suspense dramas in 2015. Sung Dong Il has been cast as the detective Lee Sang Won, who goes back and forth between a loving father and a sharp detective.

The representative teen actress Kim Yoo Jung has been cast as Lee Sang Won’s daughter named Lee Jung Hyun. Having both innocence and charisma, Kim Yoo Jung will lead the story as she acts alongside the two actors.

Lastly, Son Ho Jung has been cast as the mysterious man named Nam Chul Woong, who appears in front of the father and the daughter after ten years. Having shown his various sides through the drama Reply 1994 and variety shows, Son Ho Jun will be acting as the man who holds the secret in his hands in the filmJoy, rising as the new star in the film industry in 2015.

Joy is the fourth project of the film company, Dorothy, which also produced the horror film Epitaph, the romance filmEighteen and Nineteen, and Miss Go.

Directors Park Eun Kyung and Lee Dong Ha stated, “Joy is the story of the people left behind. We will be depicting the people suffering from the aftermath for a long time and how the scars of the incident have encroached their lives and have transformed them.”

Joy featuring the unique storyline, new format and genre and the teamwork of actors from different generations will begin filming at the end of January.

Actors Kim Yoo Jung and Sung Dong Il will appear together in the new film “Joy” (working title), according to the film’s production studio.

“Scene stealer Sung Dong Il and child star Kim Yoo Jung will officially appear on screen together as father and daughter in 2015. The film’s comedy mixed with its heartwarming storyline will be sure to captivate audiences. We are currently in the process of casting the remainder of the roles, and are very optimistic about completing the process shortly,” a representative of the studio said in a statement.

The movie is set to begin filming at the end of February after the remaining secondary roles have all been filled. It will be distributed by CGV Arthouse theaters.

The bromance lives on! Actor Yoo Yeon Seok visited the set of his friend Son Ho Joon‘s new film “Joy” to cheer him on and both of them have posted photos online of the event.

Son Ho Joon and Yoo Yeon Seok appeared together in the drama “Reply 1994″ in 2013. The two have mentioned before that they became good friends on set, and it seems like their friendship is still going strong.

Son Ho Joon is currently filming the detective suspense thriller “Joy” with Kim Yoo Jung and Sung Dong Il.

Korea’s Finecut acquires 'Circle Of Atonement'

EXCLUSIVE: Korea’s Finecut has picked up Circle Of Atonement, the feature directorial debut of Park Eun Gyoung and Lee Dong Ha, whose credits as writers include The Terror Live.

Up-and-coming star Son Ho-jun from Death Bell and TV series Reply 1994 plays a high school teacher who lost his fiancee years ago while Sung Dong-il (Miss Granny, Mr Go) plays the detective that investigated her murder. Kim You-jung plays his teenage daughter who grows close to the teacher, sharing intimate secrets.

Produced by Film Dorothy and presented by Sansoo Ventures Inc. in association with CGV Arthouse, the film wrapped shooting last week.

Finecut also sold The Royal Tailor to Japan (The Klockworx), China (Lemon Tree Media Company), Taiwan (AV Jet International Media), Malaysia and Brunei (Hwa Yea Multimedia) and worldwide in-flight rights (Emphasis).

The Klockworx and Hwa Yea Multimedia also picked up Fashion King for their respective territories.
