Recent report says a lot of people, actors and media were delighted with Yoon Si Yoons volunteerism to feed the hungry and visiting them personally for a day. As a matter of fact, a lot of actors started to volunteer as well... Now i really believe that he is living as Kim Tak Gu with the same wide smile under the sun love you for who you are YSY!!! This is better than delighting the fans with new drama

Yoon Si Yoon recent voluntary participation in handing out food to an organization made his fans proud and an impression that he is living like the character he projected as "Kim Tak Gu".

Dressed with a very ordinary appearance on his protective hat, he took part in the activity and kept his warm smile under the heat of the sun.

It was also reported that because of his volunteer service, other actors want to be a part of the same initiative as well. It seems like Yoon Si Yoon is living as Kim tak Gu in real life.

Meanwhile, his movie 100% is set to be released on July. (Don't think this is possible because until now it is zero promotion).

Thank You very much for appreciating the thread!!! Yes, he will going to Japan end of June to record a song.... You are right that the thread is underrated in soompi and it seems like Kim Tak Gu, YSY is underdog here hahahha, but I know anywhere he goes, he'll go far because he's very humble as a person.

Here's an interesting observation. I think some fans of other stars subconsciously rejects or dislikes him because the way he rise into stardom by beating out other stars in the ratings of their shows wayback 2010... Kang Ji Hwan, So Ji Sub, Lee Seung Gi etc. and the way he got the popularity is so fast like nobody before has ever made it... But I believe that so many people especially here in the Philippines admires him a lot.

I think he is already very popular as compared to the other actors and knowing that he was only around less than two years. If we make Lee Seung Gi, Lee Min Ho or Park Yoochun as reference points, they have this different level of popularity because YSY is not an "idol" type actor. He seems to be more private (does not even have a twitter account) and more focused on his profession rather than being very popular. I remember him saying that his favorite actors are Choi Min Sik and Lee Byung Hun, and he is even willing to lose 20 kilos of weight for a role when needed. That twitpic are from his korean fans.

By the way, YSY is already very popular in China and a little bit in Japan because of High Kick and Baker King. He is also very popular here in the Philippines and Indonesia because of Kim Tak Gu...

Also, his volunteer work appearance is really a volunteer work and not just being present in the event. He does not care what he looks like and he is a very simple looking dressed guy on those feeding pictures.

By the way I just get this confirmation that his movie 100% will be shown in Korean theaters by FALL and this will probably go head to head with a Joo Won movie!!!

Yoon Si Yoon and Joo Won will join a local Japanese Concert

Baker King Kim Tak Gu’s Yoon Shi Yoon and Joo Won will join and perform in a local Japanese concert – Crowned as New Hallyu Stars!

Yoon Shi Yoon and Joo Won of last year’s breakthrough hit Baker King Kim Tak Goo will be featured in a concert in Japan. It will be a part of the “Hallyu Special Event” sponsored by Fuji TV Japan.

Baker King Kim Tak Gu became their road to stardom after it succeeded with a peak rating of 58.1 % (should be 50.8????).

The shows tickets will be on sale 11 days before the start of the even on July 24. Meanwhile, Baker King Kim Tak Gu will be premiered in the Japanese TV on July 14 through Fuji TV.

Why hasn’t Yoon Si Yoon been in any more TV series since the successful Baker King, Kim Tak-gu?

Yoon Si Yoon’s representative from Taxi Entertainment recently met with Enews and said, “Even though Yoon Si Yoon has become a sought-after actor, there haven’t been any suitable parts for him.”

The reason given is that it is hard for him to act as a character in his mid-thirties since he is only in his mid-twenties. It is practically impossible to find a suitable part for him considering factors such as his age.

The representative also said, “Yoon Si Yoon has been shooting a movie since Baker King, Kim Tak-gu but is still looking for another part in a drama series in which to get back on TV, because the film is still unfinished and Yoon finds himself with little to do right now. He’s trying to decide on a role in a series as soon as possible so he can be back on the small screen for his TV-viewing fans.”

Yoon is expected to play the main character in the new serie.s Bachelor’s Vegetable Store, which is expected to go on air in the second half of the year, but this is not 100 percent sure yet.

The representative firmly stated, “Yoon Si Yoon will be in a drama series within this year.”

Nope because the production stopped in the second quarter of the year because of financing issues but now, a confirmations says it just resumed. Although the film will be shown last quarter of 2011 or 1st quarter of next year.

Actor Yoon Si-yoon is taking his first step as the next Hallyu Star.

Yoon will be heading to Japan on the 22nd for the promotion of his drama "Bread, Love and Dreams". This drama made a record of over 40% in rate last year and has been broadcasted on Fuji TV from the 14th, heating up Japan in its popularity.

Yoon will attend the official fan site inauguration and appear in the Fuji TV talk show.

Yoon is planning on showing his true side and his hidden singing skills this time in Japan. He will also put out his personal possession in auction and use the money made from it to help those victims who are suffering from the tsunami.

Yoon is currently shooting the movie "100% and will come back to home screens later this year.
