Mannosuke
"ninja style"My friend's looking for music and asked me if I knew anything that were similar to this video: I said I have no clue about music. He says the only answers he's gotten from some forums are "ninja style" and "japanese style" but they don't give any good results when he youtubes it. "Ninja style" is an odd term to me. Is this an actual genre?
miss_vicky
lol, never heard of "ninja" style. but i'll say it's more like traditional instruments with some modern, upbeat feeling to it. not sure if there are any other songs or artists that do this out there. or if there's even a certain genre for it. sorry that i'm not much of help, but hope you're able to find out. ^^''
Black_Meddle
Pop Rock combined with traditional/folk Japanese music, maybe? Songs like these aren't that uncommon in Bemani games like Beatmania and DDR, though it kinda sounds like it'd fit well in Okami, too.

Though "ninja" music was one of the more popular references for whatever reasons. Maybe cause of ninja flicks like naruto Oh, and "samurai music" also.
