Well, because I'm only in my first year for my course (economics). I'm forced to take some other social science/humanities classes, because I'm assuming that way you'll have a wider knowledge about all the different fields you can specialise in.

I have to take this politics class, oh man.. boring as hell, I have no interest in politics or anything like that at all, I don't understand 90% of the stuff, the textbook is boring is hell. The only upside is that lecturer is amusing to some degree.

I'm also doing a social anthropology course, I didn't really know what it was (should've researched). In all honesty, the class is a complete joke, it's weighted 75% exam, 25% coursework and the coursework isn't even an assignment, it's really tedious/stupid stuff like film reviews (seriously, any class where you're watching a film every week and writing an assessed review on it, shouldn't be classed as a course). The readings are long and boring as hell, each is 30~50 pages. WTF?! I sometimes wonder why anybody would want to study it, I think the entire field is so (insert derogatory word) that I have no respect whatsoever for it. My exam for it is in 2 weeks, can't wait to finish this mini cooper and never look back on it again.

I took Biomedical ethics in the fall and it was so BORING. The professor was literally professing

and he was monotone! He kept going on and on about a certain concept and the ways to look at it. Its like

he couldn't cut up all the middle crap and get to the point because he has to elaborate and elaborate.

I can't believe I went to 90% of the classes. Seriously, so boring and we had two position papers to write

and revise and I got an A in the class. Seriously, though, i have no idea why my school would hire him to lecture.

He basically taught us nothing beyond looking at a position and assessing the author's position and arguments. A skill I learned when I took English Composition 1.

I took anthropology last fall and I find it to be quite interesting and knowledgeable. I never learn anything like it, so it was fascinating. Take it if you have the chance because it is an interesting topic.

Art history. HUUUGELY boring. I don't know how I lasted 2 hours in that class for 2 days a week. I mean I love the beauty of art and all and I admire it, but dear God stretching it 2 hours 2 days a week is pushing it! Thought it was an easy A so I really should not be complaining.

Haha, oh man. I remember taking Intro to Nutrition and it was the last science class I had to take for general education. It was pretty awful because the professor was so awkward at lecturing. Honestly, if the class is boring and I don't need it then I drop the class or switch it for something else. However, if it's a required course I try to minimize the boredom. For the Nutrition class, the professor never took attendance and she posted all her lectures online so I never went until it came close to exams. For other classes, I bring homework to do or really concentrate on taking good notes so I have something productive to show for my time.

I took anthropology last year. My professor was amazing during the lectures but when I actually sat down to read the book...

Anyway, I'm taking macroeconomics this semester and it has the potential to be interesting, but since it's a night class and already having two classes before it will make me sleep.

I can make a list of classes I've gotten bored in. Thankfully, I'm only taking 3 classes + an internship this semester, and I'm enjoying all of them. But just to name a few of my worst classes: Biology, Geology,........ Yeah. I hate science. (No offense.)

I think it doesn't just depend on the subject but also the teachers. Cause it could be a very interesting subject, but if your teacher just has that monotone voice and doesn't really seem engaged in the subject any class could seem boring.

I get bored in classes that has a lot of reading and writing, so I guess english? Sometimes it could be fun, but when I'm forced to read or write something that I'm not into I would just be bored most of the time.

My pathophysiology class this semester is boring as hell.. Probably due to the fact that my professor is quite odd and scattered with his lectures.

Really?? What is your major? I find it one of the more interesting sciences. I am yet to take it though. I will take it next fall.

The most boring class is Organic Chemistry II. It is just so d*** boring. The material isn't hard but the class is just too boring :(

they made 2nd year student take it :(

it's not that hard but super super super boring!

and quite useless since I will never ever work in the field!

I'm a nursing major. I'm pretty sure the subject itself is very interesting. I just can't bring myself to pay attention to the professor. T_T

English Composition. = =" I'm looking at the time every 5 minutes.

The professor tries to make the class fun - I'll give him that much. But, he's so unbearably awkward and boring. If it was a big lecture hall setting then he can go on and talk the entire time, but this class only has 25 people in it. Please try and engage the class so we don't have to just listen to what you think of what we're reading = ="

Then again, I have a short attention span and get bored in practically every class > >

I think I have some mental problems. I can't pay attention in any class. Everyone in the class has a laptop so most of the time, we are all skyping each other during the class :P

It is soo easy to get distracted. I end up studying for 2 days straight to learn the material myself from a textbook.

I think the teacher/professor plays a relatively significant role in determining if a class is boring or not. I'm taking cultural anthropology right now and the subject is all around pretty interesting and my teacher is wonderful at keeping the class alive and full of discussions.

I'm always bored/finding it hard to concnetrate in classes pertaining to English, math, history, science... sigh. :(
