@Melchai, HW inherited his evilness from the two villain's he calls his parents and just like his parent, during the decisive moment in their life, they are prepared to do something cruel to get what they want. MH might have preached forever to him about how he doesn't need to follow in his parents footstep and we saw from time to time, HW feeling tormented about the bad deeds his parent has done especially his mother who he had very high regard for before he knew about her past but just as the saying goes people that have everything find it very difficult to let go of their possessions so he was eventually going to turn to the dark side when provoked.
I so enjoyed at the conservation between DC and MH when DC wearing the mask showed up at the gym plus the sexual tension that was in the air in that scene DC : I came to show you that am ok MH : You, don't ever show up in front of me DC : What, ah, you are embarrassed(shows MH the sms she sent to him) DC : Your heart was well received. MH : That was, that was sent by mistake and if you should ever show up in front of me, you would be arrested. MH : Don't come close to me, I said I would arrest you. MH : Let stop our partnership, it is tiring, quickly leave.
ED adoptive dad referred to Ra-Il as the key when JH told him about HS recognizing ED and insinuating that HS is the third wheel in the relationship between ED and JH. I hope JH is not planning to be really evil when he uses Ra-Il as a tool to keep ED stay by his side, I wonder if he would do something so low as to make Ra-Il purposely hate HS by telling the kid that HS is the person trying to break up their family thereby scarring the kid and making him misunderstand the sequence of things between the three of them(JH,HS and ED).
With the rate HS is going, I can see him inviting himself to ED and JH house and I have this thought on how HS would discover that Ra-Il is his son, they have all having a meal together and he notices the similarities and dislikes of certain foods to the kid. In the preview of episode 9, I feel that HS was confessing to HA when he was saying even if it is hell, he wants to live with ED like that.
Regarding your first point, it just show the significance of the impact HS had in ED's life, the ED in her 10's had HS all to himself without any extra forces influencing their relationship, their relationship was smooth sailing, something the latter ED's didn't have the privilege to have with her having a boyfriend in her 20's and a husband in her 30's. The 10's ED could enjoy HS to her heart content knowing that she was all his while the latter ED's(20's and 30's) must have felt some pressure because of their situation and since it was natural for her to love HS so in an effort to stay true to her self, it must have come as been passionate, fun, and reckless at times when she follows her hearts.
I don't see ED doing anything drastic until she regains her memories of her past, she knows that she is ED but that is just about it, what she does knows about her past is what is written in the book. I believe all hell will break loose when ED does regain her memories and that is when she would be able to find a solution to her messed up life as then she would have all the variables to find a proper answer to her current situation.
@thegoldbug, it is a miracle that ED is still sane seeing that every time she sees JH, she must be feeling guilty because she has been led to believe that because of her, JH lost his promising baseball career, get paralyzed in the process of protecting her from the impact of the accident and basically ruined his life. ED is currently living in hell, it must be her positive outlook in life that is making her cope as she works like a horse to make money and the rest of the time is spent taking care of JH, then from time to time, adoptive dad and MIL must remind her that it is her fault that JH turned out that way and in today's episode JH has joined the bandwagon of people blaming ED for him turning out this way. Regarding HA telling JH to get better in order to protect ED, I guess she must mean to protect ED from SR when SR start causing her troubles as I doubt HA can betray her brother and side with JH seeing that her brother has always protected her and been her support all those years she was separated from her parents.
@baloi, I would think it was done intentionally by ED not to tell EH the reality of her living situation as a way of protecting and preventing him from getting himself into trouble as we can guess EH's reaction if ED has told him that she is scared of her adoptive father and she has one oppa(JH) that gives her unwarranted attention. The hot tempered EH would have let his fist do the talking for him, if ED has spilled the beans.
It is not that they don't want the loan paid back, they want to know the person who is trying to pay the loan as JS family for a very long time couldn't pay their debt and of all a sudden, they are different people coming to the loan shark asking to pay off the debt. Loan shark knows that something is strange when he was released from the police station easily and that someone is backing JS's family so his thinking is that if he can know the identity of the person, he would have an opportunity to make a profit on the debt as he can then extract extra money from the person trying to pay back the debt.
Jae Ho is probably pushing himself hard in physiotherapy to get better, I guess that is the answer he came up with to the question he asked ED in the preview of episode 7, if he can be a man to her, is to get healthy quickly to be able to hold on tightly to her for dear life while trying to seal his marriage to ED as she is a celibate according to the salon nonna which means she and JH have not had sex after the accident. Now that JH has his episode and is hospitalized, JH is trying to trap ED as she would be expected to spend her free time with him and if she is not, she would be attacked by her MIL and adoptive father especially now she hasn't regained her memories and she is still feeling some guilt over her feelings for HS.
People's values are formed by their environment and experiences and in that manner JG and YH have that in common, JG values power as that was what was missing in his life and YH values love as that is the thing lacking in her life. I have no problems with JG been ambitious and trying to align himself with influential people as from a young age, he has learnt that the weak are just their to be taken advantage of, seeing his father been bullied over the oranges and his father has to keep apologizing even though he isn't a fault, he knows if he wants to avoid such an experience , the only way to do that is to become strong but even with his smart brain, he knows the progress he can make by himself is limited.
@Teryn15, regarding what ED adoptive dad gained from Choi, he gained career advancement seeing as Choi mother said without them, he would have still been a high school coach, am guessing he was Choi high school baseball coach and when a Major League Baseball club was trying to recruit Choi, they must have offered ED adoptive dad a job on a condition that he brought Choi along as teams recruit people close to a player to make the player more interested in signing with a particular club. That is the reason why ED would have been easy to manipulate after the accident as not only was she told that he get paralyzed as he drove the car to prevent her from sustaining further damage but also the guilt that because of her, Choi was robbed of a promising career, am also guessing this is what adoptive dad was hinting at as the sin ED committed against Choi as he denied that she cheated on Choi when ED asked him.
@junkietiger14, regarding HS not thinking about the possibility that Ra ll could be his son,it just shows how simple minded he really is, I bet his mind went blank as soon as he heard that ED was in the car with her husband and didn't listen to a word of the conservation after that.
@mdj101 , Choi mother doesn't seem like the typical k-drama mother in law that is just hating on her daughter in law just because she doesn't like her, I think Choi's mother wasn't part of the plan between ED step parents and Choi to get ED and Choi together so from her perspective, everything she said to ED was very reasonable , even while ranting at ED, she still showed concern for ED's situation asking if her parents are indeed her biological parent and how they can just watch their daughter having a difficult time and they don't do anything to help.
