@teredenz , KIW's love for the princess is mostly due to ambition, knowing that his biological mom is a slave, he knew he couldn't hold a post in government so he was going to use the princess to improve his status and that of his children. So I expect him to fight for the princess this time when her identity is revealed plus I see him soon joining his father on the dark side
@sally_b , although BGW met both women on the same day, he meet them at different points of his life, when he met LJJ, his life was still some what perfect and he was the one who comforted LJJ after she realise they were not twins but when he met JW, she was the person to comfort him after he had learnt of his father's identity from his mom. Regarding JW, she is giving off the gold digger vibe and she is suppose to come from a rich background so unless her family have some problems and she needs to hook up to a rich man before it is discovered, her actions so far doesn't make sense, she is such a tease and the reason she takes BGW for granted, despite him been a lock sick puppy at her beck and call is although he is from a rich family, BGW doesn't have any money and power of his own.
From the preview of episode 12, it seems that the princess sabotage the weapons department and if she really did that, I wonder how betrayed Hong Joo-Won would be by her actions when her identity is revealed in the future as although he hates the king, he was telling someone in the preview at the drinking parlour that Gwanghae is the king the country needs.
@cedarwood, people who can read pulse can determine the sex of the person as men and women have different pulse rate depending on factors like age and physical condition but women usually have slightly higher pulse rates compared to men.
@SMP567, Concerning this matter, he should be thankful to Gae si as been born the male child of a king makes the people a likely candidate to be a future king and wouldn't it be bad if Gwanghae brings a child into this world through a concubine to suffer the same fate as himself as one the excuses made why he wasn't accepted was because he was born of a concubine.
@tulip06, I also consider Gwanghae lucky to have be exiled and not killed after he was dethroned as with the level of hatred in his direction, it is surprising that he was allowed to stay alive. @SMP567, The reason they considered a ex crown prince or king who is exiled a threat by the person currently ruling is because the ex ruler might still have people in high positions plotting to bring him back in power but I guess Gwanghae was not considered a threat since the very few supporters he had were killed during the coup to replace him, people like Lee Yi-Chum.
@SMP567, The rage of the princess is aimed at Gwanghae as a result she is not thinking about the consequences of what might happen as right now she doesn't care about anything but to see the downfall of Gwanghae. See from her conversations with Hong Joo-Won that she doesn't have any interest on what is going on with Joseon, even when Hong Joo-Won was telling her the importance of the sulfur concerning the defence of Joseon from foreign threats and she is instead focused on whether Hong Joo-Won is one of Gwanghae people. The replacement of Gwanghae shows that it people who made the coup to dethrone him and put Injo on the throne that wanted a puppet to be the king as it was the ministers that held the power during Injo's rule and the people of Joseon suffered as a result.
@valsava , not much is said about the princess life even when her name is put in a search engine so they is not much information about the kind of life she lived, this is a guess on my part but since she does have the aura of a ruler and we know that joseon never had any female ruler, I can only assume that a descendant of her would rule in her place for her prophecy to make sense. Thanks for the welcome, been very busy this last few months but am watching this drama so would be seeing you around this part of the forum.
@SMP567, King Gwanghae might have had no choice but to have killed them eventually if his subordinates didn't get to the kids first as although they were his siblings, their were also political enemies as we saw that some ministers with the excuse that Gwanghae wasn't fit for the throne were plotting treason and wanted to replace him with Grand Prince Yeongchang who was an eight year old. For the time being, the princess is just focused on her revenge and we see the disaster the revenge had on Joseon with King Injo rule so maybe as she is the heroine of the drama, they would eventually make her contribute to Joseon in some way to offset what her revenge did to the country as the seer who came to the palace when was young said she had vibe of a ruler so who knows if a descendant of her would become a king or she acts as a counsel for a future king.
@SMP567, king Taejong might have been seen as a tyrant but he did lay the foundation for the successful rule of king Sejong as he made the royal family hold absolute power by wiping out all the people who would have manipulated and oppressed king Sejong, therefore allowing Sejong to implement his ideas instead of fighting with the ministers from the court for approval of those ideas as Sejong had some pretty radical ideas and he wouldn't have the time to put those ideas in place if he was fighting with the minsters to gain their approval and wouldn't have been the great king he was if it wasn't for what king Taejong did. In king Gwanghae time, it was in some of the minister's best interest to have a useless king as most of them have some partnership and connection with Ming so king Gwanghae wanting a stronger country went against that interest and those minister just oppressed Gwanghae using all sort of excuses to hide wanted their truly wanted and when Gwanghae was replaced with king Injo, that was exactly the king of leader those minister's wanted and history showed how Joseon suffered having Injo as the king.
Sara is at her best taking revenge as her head that seems to be filled with air, starts working when she has revenge on her mind. I loved how she set up the press conference, then confessed everything but left out her real name and the reason she is exposing herself as using a fake identity so as to threaten HMH, GCY and LKJ plus get people interested on why she decided to talk about herself to the media. LGJ and GCY are now scared of Sara after for last few episodes, where they have been threating her, now it is them that are feeling the threat coming from Sara's direction.
HTH now knows that HMH has cornered Sara when he heard the conservation between LGJ and Sara where LGJ tells her she is basically unlucky to be trapped by HMH as no matter if she want to run away, she doesn't have anywhere to hide.
