@laquetahodge Why do you love that scene? Would you like me to tell you? ) I think I can pretty much tell why any woman would love this particular scene. ;
Ahem Ahem. I am not as good as Professor Lovely ( @vangsweetie637 ) but I shall attempt to explain in my poor way why you might love that particular scene. :-B Are you ready?
Spoiler Rated PG-13 *- Innocents stay out! [-X
@sia3 @adlyn13 Wouldn't you agree? )
Oh thanks for the video! I gotta say, this was definitely one of my favorite parts. Sorry y'all, I'm about to have a spaz attack.
I loved that Daejang fought through all those men to get to her. Like nothing was gonna keep him from her. 8-> And then when he finally got to her and she puts her hand to his face and he didn't try to avoid it but simply enjoyed her touch! :\"> When he orders GC to be polite to ES. :> OMG! The reactions on everyone's faces when he says that he likes ES! =)) Imja's eyes almost POP out of her head!!!! ) Fire Ho looks like she just had her candy snatched away from her, and when she tries to touch him he slaps her hand away. \:D/ Then when she tries to pass him and he slams that shield down to stop her. \m/ (That has me squealing every time I see it! ) I LOVE how he just states the different ways he can fight, like it's no big deal and it's just a statement of fact. :x (THAT WAS SO COOL!!!) LOVE LOVE LOVE THAT SCENE!
Ah, so you like to have lots of options for when you want to watch something.
I think some of us had talked about this scene before: https://fbcdn-sphotos-b-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash3/p480x480/60645_366218036787909_1007047106_n.jpg And according to what the others said (If I remember correctly) that what she did, blowing on his hand like that, was considered a very intimate act. It definitely wasn't something you'd do to a casual acquaintance or ordinary friend. Holding hands was already considered intimate, but the fact that held them closely between hers and she blew on them too, well.... our poor Daejang just wasn't used to such a brazen woman. )
LorenHaze said: @tigereyespeppy - hahaha..you and me both. But you are so right...the CHEMISTRY between the two was so electrifying that even without the usual kisses, I still fell in love with their love story. :x
@laquetahodge I must admit that Just You just irritated me. ) But I'm still watching Love Around. Although it's starting to drag a little.
If you like watching Ariel Lin, then you'd probably like Lan Ling Wang/Prince of Lan Ling: http://wiki.d-addicts.com/Lan_Ling_Wang I hate the ending.... But the rest of the drama I love so much, and the chemistry between Ariel and FSF is really good. :-bd
I'm open to any suggestions for some good Chinese/Taiwanese dramas. So if you find some that you'd recommend, please let me know.
Wow! That's a lot you have to watch. :-O Is it because you're a mod? Or you just choose to watch that many at one time? :-?
The scene where she goes to the market and runs in to the Suribang twins and CY has to go and 'save' her from them is one of my favorite parts. ) Especially when they run into Prince Viper Mouth and she's clinging to CY's arm and asking him to go, for some reason when I watch that scene I imagine CY's face is telling him "you touch her, you're dead" and the song Can't Touch This starts playing in my head! =)) I LOVED THAT PART! But... Since she was using her modern make-up before that time, and she was supposed to be using the make-up she made after that...... Was there a noticeable difference in her make-up and how it looked??? :-?? Did it become more natural after that?
@Yoshikitty A Love To Kill has been a show that I've had a tough time with.
I love your new gifs Kitty! They're very funny. )
I wish I could watch Heirs with you Kitty. But I'm not gonna be able to watch it live. I'll be spazzing about it later on here though, if you'd like to spaz with me.
On that note... I have to go get some sleep now. (:| I'll talk to you lovely ladies later. :-h
@sia3 I'm sorry to hear you're still feeling bad. Take good care of yourself and get lots of rest. :-* ><
I know that not everyone can look as smexy as our Daejang. :\"> But the guy they chose to play him in The Great Seer, played in Gaksital (Bridal Mask) as the leader of the circus group. I don't know if you've seen him in there, but he isn't exactly a commanding presence. And he's short! :| I thought Daejang Choi Young was known in history for being a great general with a big commanding presence? Did I remember wrong? Or did I imagine someone saying that??? :-/
I probably should've waited to watch Secret until it had finished airing... But I'm already hooked now and after this last episode I definitely have to see what happens next!
That arm holding scene in Faith was both one of my favorites and one of the most confusing for me. :-?? I LOVED it, but at the same time, I wasn't completely sure of what was meant by it. Or by the emotions that they were trying to show. I'm REALLY hoping that they have that in the book so that Breathlesssurvival can translate what's said and I can finally figure out that scene! I don't know about you, but when I read what she's translated, I almost feel like I'm watching new scenes for the show. Especially when they're scenes that were replaced or shot in a different way.
@Yoshikitty Yes, I've seen some of LJK's other works. His movies were really good... Fly Daddy Fly, Virgin Snow, & The King and the Clown I've seen him in Il Ji-Mae The Phantom Thief. And although I haven't finished watching them, he was in My Girl, Time Between Dog and Wolf and Hero. But I think of his dramas, I liked him in Two Weeks the most.
Currently I'm re-watching Faith (of course ). I'm also watching Heirs and Secret. But @sia3 & @laquetahodge got me interesting in Chinese/Taiwanese dramas again. So I'm also watching In Time With You, The Vigilantes In Masks - Strange Hero Yi Zhi Mei, & Lan Ling Wang. I'm loving all three! :-bd Ariel Lin has great chemistry with her leading man in both ITWY and LLW.
I'm waiting to watch Marry Him If You Dare because I want all the episodes to finish airing before I start on it. And I still haven't finished A Love To Kill. #-o Let me know what you think of it when you're finished.
@mappyminho Hey there! :-h Good to see you again. Congratulations on the job! =D>
@LorenHaze Yep Yep, I definitely wanted more kissage in Faith. :-< And huggage and touchage and maybe moreage! :\"> But the way that LMH and KHS acted out their characters more than made up for what wasn't there. That, my dear, is true chemistry! =D> Have you been reading the translations of the books by Breathlesssurvival? It's been really nice because you get a LOT of stuff that wasn't in the drama. :x
@dr25 Thanks for telling me Zaen. I started to watch it, but then I had to stop for some reason I can't remember now. 8-} So it's on my list to watch. All I remember is that there's some good kissing in there. ) That and the "kids" seemed really cute together.
@laquetahodge SQUEAL! OMG! I LOVED IT WHEN HE SAID "It's OK Baby"!!! :\">
=P~ I need that sound clip on repeat for the days I'm feeling down. ) Maybe I could do like SooHa did in IHYV and put it in a teddy bear so that I can cuddle with it while I listen. )
@cassopeia I agree, SJS looked FANTASTIC in it. ; Although, I have to admit, I prefer him clean cut over shaggy. And I'm like you and Zaen ( @dr25 ) I didn't like every part of the story, but the actors more than made up for it.
@sia3 OH NO! I hope you feel better soon.
So the headband symbolized his authority as the Daejang... Wait.... :| Choi Young from the Great Seer??????? :-t Choi Young was in the GREAT SEER??????? As in our DEAJANG CHOI YOUNG???????? :-O I haven't watch The Great Seer. Someone said that it wasn't good, so I didn't look into it. What's it about? Was it any good? In what part of GM's reign did it take place?
Edit: OMG!!!!!! I just looked it up on Asianwiki........... THEY PUT THE CIRCUS LEADER AS DAEJANG!!!!!! ~X(
How could they DO THAT!!!!!!! ( Don't get me wrong, he's a nice actor, but for goodness sake!
WAH!!!!! ( ( ( ( ( ( I have to watch Faith now to cleanse my mind from that horrible image! @-)
I was looking forward to who they were gonna put as Daejang in Empress Ki... But now I'm not sure I wanna know. :-S
@Yoshikitty Yep Yep! Faithville is the BEST! \m/ No other thread can compare! >:/ b-( =;
OHHH! Three kisses or more? That would be nice. :\"> I don't have much hope for it though, Heirs is a high school drama. :-??
Yeah, the little girl in Two Weeks is so adorable I just want to squeeze her! >< Every time she grins it's just too cute! :x I also liked Lee Jun Ki in this role. In fact I think it's one of his best. At least out of the ones I've seen.
Wow! Cain & Able looks like an intense drama. I've added it to my list. Thank for telling me about it Kitty.
@sia3 Aw, those pretty pictures with the old time look to them makes that scene look even more sad!
I don't believe in love at first sight... but I definitely believe in attraction at first sight. Which is what I think SJN was going for in the book. I think that CY & ES had a SERIOUS case of attraction at first sight (who would blame them ) ) and that the times that they had together after that developed into a deep love for each other that helped to pull them back together after they were separated. When you think about it, what most people call "love at first sight" is really just two people who were very attracted to each other and that attraction eventually developed into love. When you feel comfortable with someone and trust them, it creates a bond that is very strong. When you add attraction into that, it's almost a guarantee that love will develop. The problem is that most people just take the attractions they feel and go crazy with it! 8-| They'll find someone that they're attracted to, and instead of viewing it as a chance to create a life long, special relationship with someone... they'll just pass it off as something physical and either not go any deeper into it, or they'll sleep with the person and break up with them! ~X(
I guess we'll have to wait until the book gets to the part in episode 12 to find out what he was thinking.
Thank you for posting all the videos and pictures! :x Quick question though, was Daejang's headband just so that he'd look sexy? Or was it something that generals back then actually had to wear? I know that they took a lot of liberties with the costumes in Faith because it was a fusion drama. So was his head band really something that they would use back then? Or was it just for props? And if they really did use them, was it just to tie back the hair? Or did it have a special meaning? :-?
@pooh77 Yes! It would've been nice to see Daejang travel WITH Imja to the future and have her guide him around a bit. I wonder how different it would've been for him to have her as his guide and introduce him to modern things. 8->
Sorry I disappeared for a while. I was sick, and RL took a crazy turn. So I couldn't come play for a while. :!!
@Yoshikitty Good to be back Kitty. So Cain and Able had a happy ending? Great! That's one more drama I can add to my list. >-
I'm glad you enjoyed watching Heirs. I agree that PSH's acting is pretty good. But I haven't seen any really good kisses from her yet. (But that may be because of the director or the script.) So hopefully, since she'll be doing it with LMH, we'll get to see some fire-hot kisses! ;
How are you liking Two Weeks so far? I thought it was a very good drama. And the little girl was ADORABLE! :x
@bobsavero I know what you mean. ) I'm like Adlyn, every time I watch Heirs, I keep comparing it to Faith and wanting to see some Daejang action!
@Maja Oh! Faith HUGS! I think I loved the hugs in Faith more than any other drama so far. :x And that hand holding scene is still one of my all time favorite drama moments. 8->
@dr25 I agree Zaen, things are a little too crazy in the Heirs thread right now for me to try and get involved... :| Maybe once things have cooled down a bit, I'll try posting something later.
I'm so glad you like Always! SJS's acting in that movie Rocked! \m/
@cassopeia What did you think of the movie? 8->
@laquetahodge & @sia3 About LMH's English... I don't know why they have so many people making a fuss about how he said his lines. 8-| I find it laughable that most people in the US don't even speak proper English, and they expect someone who's only been learning it for a short while to be able to speak it fluently??? /:) I say that the actors did their best and whoever doesn't like it should shut up and trying speaking a language they don't know and see how well they do. > Honestly I thought LMH's accent was kind cute. :\">
@myphim I'm heading out the door, but before I go I wanted to say that I agree with you about SJN's writing. I think she's doing an amazing job and she's taking the book to places that I would've LOVED to have seen in the drama.
Now I really have to go. I'll talk to y'all later! :-h
OK...... It's been a little while since I've been able to talk with everyone... and I'm way behind on what everyone has been up to... So please don't be upset that I'm responding to your post late, OK? ^^
First off..... I want to give a big hello to everyone:
I'm sure everyone is busy over at the Heirs thread..... but I haven't caught up there, and I probably won't catch up soon. I think the last time I was able to go there was about 200 pages back. #-o And honestly, after reading some of the posts there from other people, I'm a little scared to post anything there. :-S
So I'm just gonna say hi over here. :-h It was so nice to see everyone back on the thread again. It makes my cry that I couldn't be there to fangirl with y'all. (
Now to respond to everyone's posts:
@pooh77 You had asked me what Faith ending I had hoped for? Hmmmm, I was hoping for an ending that was a bit more physical. I was like a lot of the other Faithlings in that I wanted them to kiss or hug when they finally saw each other after all that time. But I also wanted to see some scenes of what life would've been like for them now that they were back together. Like CY welcoming ES back to his home and getting her settled in, then it would lead up to them sitting together somewhere, (like they did when she had to rest after getting poisoned or when they were on the run). And then the final scene would be of them just sitting together holding each other and enjoying the fact that they could finally be together and just relax for a change.
@LorenHaze Thank you for showing me some of your favorite parts of Faith.
@LuvMinHo I know you're probably busy over at Heirs so..... How are you liking LMH as a surfer boy? )
@Yoshikitty Hey there Kitty! I'm sorry I went away for so long.
@wisteria7 Hi there! :-h It was nice to here from you again. I've been OK. Just busy, and very behind on everything here. #-o
@adlyn13 I've missed you Bunny! >< I hope everything's going good with you and that school isn't killing you too bad. Have you been exploding over at Heirs? )
@sia3 SIA! I've missed you so much! (
Since some might not have read the Faith book yet, I'm putting all this in a spoiler.
By the way... I LOVE the goodies you posted! :x Like this one: http://sadpanda.us/images/1842419-IAEEALJ.jpg
@myphim It was so wonderful to see chibi Daejang again! I'm glad to hear that you're doing well. You were sorely missed by us all. :x
And about Heirs:
I'm sorry for the long post. And I'm REALLY sorry that it's taken me so long to get back to everyone. ^^
I hope everyone's doing good and getting full on LMHotness. )
@azzurri Yeah, I'm watching ITWY. It was highly recommended by Sia. So far it's really cute. And I agree that having a "pocket Li Da Ren" would be nice. )
And because of Yoskikitty, I've recently discovered a love for SJS too. Only she got me to watch him in Sorry, I Love You. :-bd
@Yoshikitty Hey Kitty.
Ah, another one of my favorite photos. :x Thank you!
@LuvMinHo I'm sorry to hear that you were sick. I hope you're feeling better now.
@pooh77 Hey there Pooh Bear.
@LorenHaze Hi, Nice to meet you. I'm Tiger, or Tigger. Whichever you'd prefer. It's great to meet a new Faithling. >- I agree that that the onscreen chemistry between LMH and KHS was amazing and VERY rare. :x Their scenes together were very subtle and brought out more feeling and romance than than A LOT of other shows that show the people constantly 'making out'. Some of the other Faithlings have listed some of their favorite scenes from Faith.... would you like to tell us what some of yours were? Maybe a scene where the emotions between Daejang and Imja left you speechless? Or maybe a scene that you hated? Like the scene with shirtless dragon face GC that had most of us wanting to gouge our eyes out. )
@laquetahodge I've Googled it every way I can think of! I've looked for torrents and even streaming because then, even if I can't download it, I could at least know what they're saying! I'm not giving up. :-L I keep watching the video over and over to try and see if I can pick out some of their words. ) And I've tried drawing out the characters in a program to see if I can match them up with something. :-B But so far all I've gotten was a lot of nonsense. ^#(^
Edit: But at least I now have the complete episode so I can watch them kiss and act all sweet. 8->
laquetahodge said: @tigereyespeppy Viki only having 12 minutes of subs is odd....how is it only 12 minutes of subs? That's so weird. Yeah Asia Torrents is kinda confusing, their subs didn't work for me anyways. Did you try this site?
@laquetahodge I have a problem with my internet, it gives me a lot of trouble with streamed shows. :-< So I downloaded Love Now after you mentioned it. And it was because I skipped through some of the episodes that I saw Bobby Duo and instantly liked him. I looked up some of the other dramas that he's been in and saw Ti Amo Chocolate. The show itself isn't as awesome as Faith. But the story is cute for a while. However I would've given it up a long time ago if it wouldn't have been for the parts with Bobby Duo in them. In fact I skip over the other parts that don't have to do with him and just watch the parts about him. ) But the second to last episode, #79, has a lot to do with him and his story and although they have subs in the show... I think they're Chinese. So I was hoping that either someone knew of a place where they have the subs for that episode, or knew of a website or program where I could enter the characters and just get a translation of the words. I don't even care if I get the rest of the episode, as long as I get the parts that have to do with Bobby Duo and his story. ( Like this one:
In this picture of NG:
Do you know how in the heck they got that thing on her head to stay on????? :-/ And is that made of hair? Or something else????
Hey everyone! :-h Sorry I haven't been very chatty lately. It's been a little weird at home. :| I haven't been able to catch up with everyone, so how is everyone doing? It's the weekend so I hope you're having a good one. Just don't party too hard or you'll wind up like this the next day:
@sia3 I've started watching ITWY.... So far all I can say is that Li Da Ren is a very good and patient man! :| (I wish there were more men like him around)
@Yoshikitty WHY OH WHY did you tell me about Sorry I Love You????!!!!!! ( ( Don't get me wrong! I love what I've seen of it, and I think that SJS is amazing in it. But it makes me cry so much my chest hurts! ( It is a VERY good drama though.
@Krrypton Hey! Good to see you again.
@laquetahodge Ah, yes. Silently lurking seems to be all I can do lately. Thanks for the Daejang smirk. 8-> It made me feel better. And I think that BOF would've been 10 times better with a different actress. But at least we get to see a goofy, playful, and absolutely adorkable LMH to make up for it. )
@stuartjmz I agree, I thought LMH totally ROCKED the role of CY. \m/ He played the part very well. :-bd And I also think that he should do more action roles. He's very fluid and fast with his 'moves'.
@hayuinblue Thanks for all the pictures! They were great! I loved the ones of the blacksmith's town.
Now I've got a little question for whomever wants to answer it. I've notice in Faith (and in other dramas) that the men wear their hair in a sort of top-knot. I was wondering if it was just a fashion statement, or if it had a meaning behind it. :-/ I mean, was it a religious thing? Or was it just tradition for men to wear their hair like that? Because I've seen some of the 'lower class' in dramas with their hair down. And some even have short hair. So I was just wondering if anyone knew the answer.
And for those that watch Taiwan dramas.... I've got a serious dilemma. (
