Yonghwa’s “One Fine Day” grabs top spot on Billboard’s World Albums chart CNBLUE Yonghwa’s One Fine Day topped the Billboard’s World Albums chart during his debut week, demonstrating his international presence as an artist! One Fine Day ranked #1 on the World Albums chart for the Week of February 7th due to its explosive popularity. The album was released internationally in Hong Kong, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, and Macau, and its release on iTunes has also been well received. One Fine Day is Yonghwa’s solo debut album, released almost six years after his debut with CNBLUE in 2009. The artist has been working with international design group Storm Studios with plans to release a limited edition of the album in February. This is not the vocalist’s first time at the top of this chart. CNBLUE’s Re:Bluetopped the chart in 2013 and it solidified the band’s international recognition as a group with their hot track “I’m Sorry,” which performed well both domestically and internationally. In other news, Yonghwa recently posted pictures and revealed that he will be releasing the music video for “Checkmate”, which features Mandopop super star JJ Lin, on January 30th. cr: http://www.koreaboo.com/news/yonghwas-one-fine-day-grabs-top-spot-billboards-world-albums-chart/
CN Blue’s Jung Yong Hwa on Going Solo, How He Feels About Other Idol Soloists and More CN Blue′s Jung Yong Hwa shared his thoughts on releasing his first solo album One Fine Day as well as on his fellow singers, who have gone from being an idol group member to a soloist.
Jung Yong Hwa launched his solo debut showcase on January 19 at the Maria Callas Hall in Daechi-dong and spilled his honest thoughts and goals on releasing his fist solo album, the difference between his album and CN Blue’s album and more. The following is a Q&A with Jung Yong Hwa.
◆ How do you feel about making a solo debut?
-I didn’t think that it would be a full-length album but after adding one song at a time, it ended up being a total of ten tracks. It was meaningful to do a collaboration with my respected seniors Yoon Do Hyun, Yang Dong Geun, Verbal Jint and more and I was able to produce my songs, which are like my children. I included many songs about love and healing.
◆ What kind of song is the title song One Fine Day?
-It’s a song that I wrote thinking that I want to differentiate it from CN Blue’s songs. Through this opportunity, I came to realize what kind of music I like. The love finally came true in the music video. I was always in the position to yearn for love but I was able to vent it out. Actually, all of CN Blue’s songs talk about getting dumped. I didn’t want to get dumped this time so I tried to tell the story of man after he goes through a breakup.
◆Did you struggle internally during the album preparation process?
-Of course I struggled internally. It may seem like everything goes smoothly for me without any ups and downs but I also went through many difficult things. Sometimes I would feel like all the things that people tell me are lies and wonder, ‘why am I doing this kind of work?’ I included those thoughts in the song The Last Leaf. I occasionally go through tough times like that. I can’t help it since what I do is work.
◆Other idols, such as Super Junior’s Kyuhyun and SHINee’s Jonghyun, have been ranking number one since they have made their solo debuts.
-I would like to put down the pressure to win first place, but I can’t help but think about it. I listened to Jonghyun’s album and I could really feel his hard work. I was also stimulated by it. The ranking is out of my hands. If I do my best, then maybe I can win first place, which is regarded as being ‘God’s realm.’ If I win first place, I would like to deliver coal briquettes. I would like to participate in doing good things.
◆ Are there any singers you would like to work with in the next album?
-I didn’t collaborate with female singers in this album so I would like to sing sweet duet songs with female singers next time. It would be nice to work with IU and Ailee, whom I’m close to, and I recently thought that I would really like to work with Sunwoo Jung-A because her voice is so nice.
Meanwhile, Jung Yong Hwa released his first solo album One Fine Day on January 20. The title song One Fine Day is a song about being left alone after going through a break up featuring ironic lyrics. It catches attention by having a style quite different from CN Blue’s songs.

The CNBLUE leader and actor took on the unique concept, 'listless morning after getting drunk,' for the pictorial, which was released on November 21. During an interview with the magazine, Yonghwa said of his members, "All of the four members have different styles, making it hard to choose one so let's go with me being the coolest."
He also revealed that his style is similar to the style shown in the pictorial, sharing, "My normal style is very similar [to the concept's style]... Although I like a fashion style similar to that of Kurt Cobain, these days, I enjoy wearing training pants."

What did you (learn from) Jung Yonghwa, who's about your age and is a senior? Jung Haein: Watching Yonghwa, I was quite surprised. I had a strong impression of him as a singer, but filming with him, he seemed as a real actor. He debuted as an actor, so he's a real actor. His attitude toward the on-set staff was really great, too. He's truly polite and is good at acting. 'TTM' has many difficult scenes, and watching him skillfully completing those scenes made me feel that he's a person with true passion. It looked like he was filming with his life on the line. I thought he's such an amazing person. His acting has a free feel to it, kind of like how he performs onstage at concerts. It's not a stiff style, but he controls it as he wishes. Q. You look like you enjoy talking about Jung Yonghwa more than the other questions. You seem very close to one another.JHI: We're only one year apart and in some ways we have similar personalities. Yonghwa's such a "manly" man. We connected because I'm a bit like that, too. It was difficult for me to make the first move, but Yonghwa approached me first. He also took good care of me as an agency-mate... He's a typical cool Busan guy. cr: heich @ justjyh.com / http://tenasia.hankyung.com/archives/373441 edit: Uhm..Why am I off topic???? :-? :-? Isn't this thread includes updating regarding the drama and its cast??Just post the actors gathering together and their thoughts with working together??Oh well... :-??
Drama 'The Three Musketeers' is your first periodd drama. I expect there may have been pressure facing that challenge. Have you gotten used to period dramas' specific style of filming, speech, and wardrobe?
-The difference in genres between period dramas and modern dramas itself didn't particularly heighten the pressure for me. Whenever I begin a drama, I want to learn as much possible. 'TTM' was such an enjoyable experience. Because it's an action sageuk, I have many action sequences. Each time I film a scene, my clothes get soaked with sweat. It's so much fun, I'm enjoying it very much.
What are some special care you've put into express Dalhyang?
-I kept reading the script to become one with the character. When I keep reading it, at one point, my usual speech turns into the character's. The time I got used to Dalhyang is when I began to end my sentences with "~hao" (archaic). Now, even those around me are also using it (laughs).
There are many avid fans of Dalhyang who await "the Era of Dalhyang." How do you feel when you hear about these reactions?
-I'm a bit flattered, but I'm always deeply grateful that many viewers support this character. I personally like Dalhyang very much, an avid fan myself. I always try to put 'Jung Yonghwa' aside and show you more Dalhyang-like sides.
How is the filming set like?
-It's a place that overflows with laughs. The most distinct characteristic of the 'TTM' filming set is that it's not just one person but all the members who try to be a model and energize the atmosphere on set. Not just LJW and YDG, but even KSM who plays Ingguldai makes funny jokes often. Laughter never ends at our set.
'TTM' is also set to air in Japan. Could you tell us what to look forward to?
-First, I believe the broadcasting in Japan was made possible thanks to the viewers who supported our show. I want to express my thanks. 'TTM' is a story of CP Sohyeon, HSP, AMS, and myself, Park Dalhyang. Please look for how the four's relationship progresses, and how PDH who arrives at the capital from the countryside matures over time.

cr. to the owner @kdramafan43v3r: I wish Yonghwa would do an ost for this drama but I guess he wants to separate his acting and singing career. When his acting his acting when his singing his only singing..Well you know what I mean..kekeke..He did not do an ost for his other drama prior to this.. November, December, January, February, march!!!!Hey that's 5 months of waiting!!!!Waiting for January is difficult enough!!!!! Just thinking no Samchongsa this sunday is making me sad already!!What's more if its 5 mos..lol...
Will be back because I've got buried and need to back read a lot.... @-) @-)
kdramafan43v3r said: @bella1025 I would mind if it's the same girl who played Tani coz she's just 13 years old in real life. Kissing scenes would be off limits to her...and Tani's character is of the assertive type so I would assume she'll be the one doing the chasing and initiate kissing our dear Park Dal Hyang. I would really prefer Eunji, she can totally act plus she got popular with TvN. So, I don't think it would be hard to convince her to take on the role if TvN would ask her to do it even though, it's a supporting role, it's an important one. I can totally picture her running after Park Dal Hyang (like some avid fangirl) reminding him of his promise of marriage! I would love to see her challenge herself and do sageuk. Also, am I the only one here hoping for YH to do a song for the OST? With his love line in Season 2, I can already imagine him singing a song for the OST. And pardon me for going into delulu mode for just a moment...if my fervent prayers to the powers that be will be answered and Eunji gets cast, Wouldn't it be epic if they'll do a duet for the OST?!!
Yonghwa relays his thanks to the cast, staff, and viewers of 'The Three Musketeers'
October 29, 2014
CNBLUE's Yonghwa shared his final thoughts on wrapping up his tvN drama 'The Three Musketeers'!
Yonghwa shared through his agency FNC Entertainment on the 30th, "I am really thankful to the viewers who loved 'The Three Musketeers'... Although I worked hard to put Yonghwa aside and show the character Park Dahl Hyang, there are things that I'm lacking in... I will remember the lacking aspects, and show better acting [next time]... Like the drama's story of rural warrior Park Dahl Hyang from Gangwondo who comes to Seoul and grows, I personally learned a lot and grew as an actor... Thank you to the director and writer who gave me this opportunity... I also thank my fellow cast and staff who endured with me throughout the late-night filming on set."
Stay tuned for the final episode on November 2 at 9:20 PM KST!

These actresses don't always play bad girls but when they do they are really good at it.
Take Yoo In Young in "The Three Musketeers. Her character Mi Ryung adds an even darker shade to k-drama villains. She has killed to become princess and she's ready to kill again.
