I have fallen behind here, didn't get to edit the 1st post as planned. Will get to it asap.

For LDG & KSA's interviews, I will translate the shorter versions when I have a chance (goal: within this week).

If anyone understands the articles, please help us out too. Thanks.

3년 전 김선아는 뚱뚱한 노처녀 '삼순이'로 신드롬을 일으켰다. 수많은 시청자가 그녀를 보며 웃었고 희망을 봤다. 3년 만에 돌아온 김선아. 여전히 유쾌하고 웃음이 넘쳤다. '삼순이'때와 달라진 건 10kg 이상 줄어든 체중 밖에 없었다. 통통한 삼순이는 글래머 걸스카우트가 됐고 미소를 지으며 3년 만에 관객을 맞을 채비를 끝냈다. 하지만 김선아는 이런 여유와 웃음을 찾는 데 1년이나 걸렸다고 고백했다. 2005년 '내 이름은 김삼순'으로 절정에 오른 그녀. 하지만 촬영 중이던 영화에서 하차했고 거액의 소송으로 맘고생을 했다. 항상 유쾌하고 명랑한 그녀였지만 가까운 사람들에게 신경질을 자주 낼 정도로 어려운 시기였다고 했다. 스스로 "상처가 깊었다. 주위 사람에게 소홀했다. 깊이 후회된다"는 1년을 보낸 김선아. 다시 그녀에게 미소를 찾아준 건 일터, 촬영현장이었다.

- 일본에서 드라마 '밤이면 밤마다'를 촬영하고 귀국하자마자 인터뷰다. 오랜만에 바쁜 것 같다.

"어제도 2시간 밖에 자지 못했다. 오랜만에 영화도 홍보하고 드라마도 촬영해서 정신없이 바쁘지만 즐겁다. 너무 정신없어서 그런지 남다르고 특별한 것도 모르겠다. 하지만 다가오는 언론시사회는 너무 떨린다. 그래도 많이 나아진 것 같다. 예전에는 영화 시사회 날 떨다가 울기도 했다."

- '내 이름은 김삼순'의 인기를 생각하면 지난 3년의 공백이 너무 아깝다.

"'삼순이' 팔며 작품을 했으면 몇 편은 더 할 기회가 있었다. 하지만 그러고 싶지 않았고 도중 엎어진 영화도 있었다. 아깝다는 생각할 겨를도 없이 '어…' 하다 보니까 3년이 지나갔다. 어른들 말씀 참 많이 맞는 것 같다. 어렸을 때 하루하루를 무의미하게 보내지 말라는 말 많이 들었는데 지금 생각하면 딱 맞는 것 같다."

- 여러 힘든 일을 한꺼번에 겪었다.

"많이 힘들었을 때 팬들이 큰 힘이 됐다. 매일 인터넷 팬카페에 들어갔다. 저 때문에 걱정 많이 해준 팬들에게 미안한 만큼 열심히 하자는 생각 많이 했다. 옆으로 떨어졌다가 다시 길을 찾고 걷는 기분이다. 마음을 많이 다쳤지만 살아가는 데 큰 경험을 한 것 같다."

- 그 밝은 성격이 변할 만큼 큰 아픔이었나.

"1년 정도 까칠했다. 가까운 사람에게 소홀했다. 나도 모르게 가장 편한 사람에게 신경질을 냈다. 가장 후회된다. 굉장히 답답했다. 1년 정도 우울한 기분이 계속됐다. 웃어도 웃는 게 아니고. 많이 힘든 시기였다."

- 다시 건강한 웃음을 찾을 수 있었던 비결은.

"'걸스카우트' 찍으면서 다 털어버렸다. 현장이 너무 즐거웠다. 칭찬해주는 나문희 선생님을 보며 마음이 따뜻해졌고 이경실 선배 한 마디에 박장대소하며 웃었다. 때리고 맞고 뛰고 액션이 굉장히 많아 몸은 힘들었지만 마음이 항상 즐거운 현장이었다. '걸스카우트'에서 맡은 역은 도망간 계주를 쫓으며 화가 머리끝까지 난 역할이었다. 당시 제 상황과 많이 비슷해서 화내고 폭발하는 연기가 자연스럽게 된 것 같다."(웃음)

- 올 초에는 루머에도 시달렸다.

"사실 루머 때문에 힘든 적은 없었다. 그냥 피식 웃고 넘길 정도로 어처구니가 없었다. '미모의 글래머 톱스타'라고 해줘 고맙기도 했다(웃음). 나훈아 선생님의 기자회견은 온가족이 모여 박수치며 봤다. 그렇게 용기있게 나서 진실을 밝히고 루머에 얽힌 후배들 걱정을 해준 것에 대해 연락처를 몰라 직접 인사를 못했지만 다시 한번 감사하다는 마음을 전하고 싶다. 어머니도 많이 고마워 하셨다."

- '삼순이'때와 비교해도 굉장히 날씬해진 것 같다.

"정말? 너무 고맙다. 너무 살을 갑자기 찌워서 그런지 발목에 무리가 많이 갔다. 아킬레스건에 통증이 있어 영화 찍으면서 고생 좀 했다. 도망간 계주 잡는 영화니까 달리는 장면이 얼마나 많았겠나. 열심히 뛰고 맞고 때리고 그러면서 살이 많이 빠졌다."

- '삼순이' 이후 변신을 시도했다. 하차한 영화도 그랬고. 하지만 '걸스카우트'는 여전히 코믹이 강하다.

"영화 전체적으로 웃음이 많다. 하지만 제 역할 미경은 굉장히 진지한 캐릭터다. 삼순이 이미지와 많이 다르다. 영화의 상황이 주는 웃음은 많다. 하지만 처음부터 끝까지 미경은 진지하다. 하긴 하는 일마다 족족 망해 별명이 '마이너의 손'인 여자가 곗돈까지 떼였으니 얼마나 심각하겠나. 특히 제 모습이 정말 날씬하게 나온 것 같다. 그래서 더 기대된다."

김선아는요

연예계에서 성격 좋기로 유명한 그녀. 조인성 등 수많은 톱스타 후배들도 그녀를 친누나처럼 잘 따른다. 1975년 대구에서 태어나 일본에서 고등학교를 나왔고 미국에서 대학을 다녀 일어와 영어에 능하다. CF로 시작해 '몽정기', '위대한 유산', '잠복근무', 'S다이어리' 등 코믹영화에서 맹활약했다.
