Asian girls and LV proportions?

And second is actually a question, for those who've been in Korea or know asians that own LV speedy's, do they usually go for the 25 or 30 size if they're from 4'10-5'3? Or in other words, which size is more popular in Korea?

My friend has a Speedy 25 and she's about 5'2". It's perfectly in proportion with her height. It's not obnoxious like you said, the people who use their big Louis Vuitton as a freakin grocery bag (probably fake if you don't care for your bag OR you're super rich).

But... having said that, you should choose a bag that fits your needs. Speedy 25 is perfect for everyday and fits quite a lot of stuff but it can get pretty crowded. If you're the type of person who brings everything with you, you might want to get a bigger bag.

Big bags are freaking awesome.

Still, I don't think proportions really matter. If the oversize bag looks ridiculous, it's simply looks ridiculous.

I'm 5'3 and I have the Speedy 25. Most people I've seen use the Speedy 25, but I like the Speedy 30 just as much. If you're under 5'3 I don't think it's too big.

however in terms of popularity just last year, the neverfull was BY FAR the most carried. So much so I went ahead and bought myself one too. And a GM in fact, but I'm 5'7'' so anything smaller would look kinda small on me

to answer your question though.. sorry went off on a tangent.. I think the size really is personal preference. I know people that are short that prefer the 30.

You should go to the LV store and try them on and see which one suits you best

I was dead set on getting a Speedy 25 Damier Azur but then I saw the Rosewood and fell in love with it as soon as I tried it on >.<

i thought the title says something like "the proportions of asian girls carrying LV bags" (which is a social phenomenon indeed!), but I never really notice the size of a bag to the person

I like bigger bags because I can carry more stuff. I won't go as far as mary -kate's though. She can fit her self in there!

as long as the bag isn't outrageously big i think height and size of the bag doesn't really matter.

you need different size bags for different needs anyway

i'm 165 cm and i have the neverfull GM

Its useful cos i can carry so much stuff but sometimes it's kind of inconvenient cos it's so big.... people can reach their arm into the back of the bag and steal my wallet if they wanted to....

I've seen 13 or 15 year old Asian girls who are like barely 5'2' carrying the large Neverfull and it just looks wrong. I remember I once saw a girl who looked 10 years old or something with a Neverfull that was bigger than her body. I've also seen short stubby girls carrying the super large Speedy (55 is it?) to class. So retarded.

But yeah I don't know about purses, but definitely get something proportional to your body. I have an LV Bosphore GM messenger bag and I was told to get this one (instead of the larger version) because it wasn't too big (I'm skinny) and would match my body.

I don't find me buying purses that fit my frame. I just go for a purse that will carry all my crap. ><

Only "small purses" I have are my wristlets and pochettes for when i'm just running out for a quick errand and don't need all the things in my purse.

Haha 30 looks too big to me but then like 25 is too short....but same height? To me i was like WTF when I saw it lol. Well GM works for you since you're 5'7 but on a girl my height...it is not attractive, I've seen like taiwanese ppl with it...eye sore, doesn't fit them at all. Haha.

I'm 5'3.5 and I carry the neverfull mm and I think it looks fine. I remember I had a large debate on whether i looked alright with it or not and in the end my bf and I decided it was cute. I carry it with the sides cinched in and it looks good to me! I think if I was really small boned it would look kinda strange. It really depends on the size of the girl I guess.

I don't like big bags, they hide your outfit. Why would you want to do that? ... And they make you look shorter, smaller, but not cuter.

Hmm. Personally, I like the Monogram Canvas better than the Damier Azur. But really it depends on the person and your usually style. For your second concern, the zipper is a bit short but it's not a big problem. If you're used to carrying bigger bags then it will be awkward at first.

I would think 25/30 and MM are the most popular sizes in most Asian countries; with the exception of maybe Japan, as petite bags are more popular, like 25s and PMs.
